Aventurine mindlessly fiddled with his watch, but his suggestive gaze held firm and steady on her. “Mm, yeah, I guess you could say I need your help again…” he teased out.
Her face slowly flushed, but she didn’t care if he noticed. Her impatience overpowered it.
“Don’t tell me I really do have to play matchmaker between you and someone else. Or play the bodyguard for you and your date or something –”
“Isn’t it obvious?” Aventurine folded his hands in front of him. “I’m asking you to do me the honor of being my date for the ball, Miss Stellaron.”
