Sick of Steve’s antics and comments of him having no friends other than the gangs that late afternoon, Ponyboy decides to go get some friends of his own… in the most unusual and dangerous way possible, of course.
Or four now traumatized kids from every side of Tulsa find the body of the soc king, Bob Sheldon, and Ponyboy and Riley see this as the perfect opportunity to make friends.
Or I wanted Ponyboy to have more friends and deal with his issues and gave it to him in the best unconventional way possible.
