alsooo tbh I think there was just something weird with her (the person who went missing), she was always skulking around the building at weird hours and sometimes she just disappeared for months at a time??

and she never hired any assistants (apparently she used to have some but that was before I started working here) so the whole department was just… empty. and for some reason the boss said it was fine ??

and when she WAS here she kept bringing around some random goth guy but I asked him once and he said he didn’t work there… so like idk what that was about either. ig maybe her unemployed grandson? idk lol

I’m so glad I work in admin, like people think finances and stuff are boring but it’s kind of nice not being involved in whatever insanity is going on everywhere else in this place lol

I constantly find myself wondering why my boss thought it was a good idea to give me this promotion. I will continue to do my best to complete my tasks, but it’s extremely frustrating having such a large workload thrust onto me without warning.

y’all remember that new department head I was talking about? I had to go down there today to ask him to sign something and he didn’t answer his office door. so I walked in and he was talking into a tape recorder? for some reason??

like, I know they do recordings down there (his department is the archives) but I’m pretty sure they’re supposed to do them using like a computer, not some weird ancient technology

and he was like full-on voice acting too. didn’t hear what he was actually saying because when I went in he stopped and seemed super annoyed at me for interrupting him, but anyway. such a weird guy

okay, can confirm fire alarm from the other day WAS apparently because of the worms. they were living in the walls of the archives, apparently, and apparently someone accidentally knocked a hole in the wall (?) or something and a bunch of them came out?

Using a side account to say this because my friends and family follow my main and they’ll think I’m crazy. But a few years ago I had this weird experience that to this day I’m pretty sure was supernatural.

Anyway this is relevant because the other day I was just walking down the street when some guy stopped me and asked me about it? Like, I swear I’ve never met this guy before and like I said I’ve never told anybody irl about the zombie thing either, so there’s no way he could have known.

But he just walked up to me and asked me about it. And I told him. It was like I was hypnotized or something. And he didn’t blink even once, and we were standing there for like fifteen minutes.

To be perfectly honest it was actually a great relief to finally say this all out loud, so it wasn’t as bad as the zombie experience by far. Except that now whenever I dream about the zombies he’s in the dreams just staring at me. Every single time.

You're not incorrect, but I think we can all still be greatly relieved that this particular plan was thwarted. If he had succeeded things would be much, much worse. However, I admit that we are still rather trapped, and I still understand if you still want to free yourself from your job fully. I know I almost made the same decision.

…so um. my old boss is back. yes, the sexist head of the company one. apparently he walked free of the murder charges too (although unlike with archives guy I’m not convinced he’s actually innocent, but whatever not like I can do anything about it)
