Chapter Text
Toshinori Yagi P.O.V
Toshinori sighed as he entered his penthouse in the apartments that he lived in. Gently move Izuku so that he can lay better in his arms. Besides the items that were in his other hand, he also had some supplies in bags from Naomasa for kids his age. There were some T-shirts, pants, socks, shoes, toys, among other things. He was thankful for his friend and wondered why he had these on hand but he shrugged his shoulders.
He probably has them on hand due to cases like these. Which is sad in itself but I am happy that he had these as I know I would forget to get them before heading home. He thought and then he took a deep breath and let it out.
Finally home… I have to figure out where I can put him so that he can sleep comfortably. Toshinori thought, looking at Izuku's face with a peaceful expression on his face. Poor kid… losing your parents in a house fire and running away… he must have some sort of trauma about it, especially since he is mute. Toshinori thought with sympathy.
I will have to take him to therapy and the doctor of course. Though rest first and a bath because he's stinky. He thought with a grimace. He gently lays the items that were in his left arm onto a kitchen counter. He would have to find a better place to put them and where Izuku can find them.
He yawns, finding himself to be tired after a long day as well. He walks over to his bedroom and opens the door, he leaves it open so that if Izuku wakes up before him, he can explore the penthouse and doesn't have to be trapped in one room.
He gently lays Izuku down on his bed and covers him with the blanket. He then places the supplies on his desk goes into his master bathroom and starts getting changed into his pajamas well, after taking a bath and brushing his teeth.
I'm not hungry, so I will have breakfast in the morning. He thought as he let his hair down and went back into his room. He smiles softly at Izuku who turns to his side, Izuku's little wings fluttering a bit before stopping.
I wonder what he's dreaming about… he thought as he climbed into the left side of his bed and covered the blanket over his body. He looked at Izuku with a small smile, ruffling his curly hair, and sighed. He turns onto his back to look up at the ceiling, a million thoughts running in his mind.
Why would a criminal attack the Midoriya family? I know Naomasa said that he would open up the case again now that we have found Izuku but it still makes me wonder… Mirai also said that he would look into Izuku’s file to see how old he is, his family, etc etc. He thought and he let out a small huff. I wish Izuku could talk… it would make things much easier.
Toshinori looks at Izuku again and smiles softly at the sight of the sleeping boy, but then frowns at the boy’s weight. He’s skinny… I gotta call Chiyo-san and ask her if she can take a look at him. It's way too late now and she might be busy. He thought with a sigh.
He yawns and stretches out his arms, his body getting exhausted from the day's events. He looks at Izuku again and smiles “Goodnight Izuku.” He said as he felt his eyes closing and his body relaxing as he went to sleep.
Izuku Midoriya’s P.O.V
Izuku woke up as the sun rose over the horizon. He let out a tiny yawn and used his hand to itch one of his ears.
W-Where am I? He thought as he turned around in the bed that he was in. He gets up and looks around the room, his mind wondering how he got here and who took him here.
That is when he remembered what happened to him the day before and tears started to gather in the corner of his eyes.
I-I was taken from my colony… my home… Why would Shadow entrust my care to a stranger? Izuku thought, his hands clenching the blanket that was covering him. Which was a silk dark blue blanket.
He tries to calm himself down takes another look around the room that he was in and widens his eyes.
The room was bigger than he had ever seen! The wallpaper was pastel red while the floor was covered in a light blue carpet. A desk was on the left side of the room with a light on top of it that had a strange and small box thing on it along with a bunch of papers stacked around it.
He also noticed a dresser on his left and another large black box-looking thing hanging on the wall. He remembers what it was but it's a little blurry. There was a door to another room by the dresser and he tilted his head in confusion before shaking his head and looking at the door that was on the wall in front of him.
It was opened, letting some light inside the room. His ears and wings twitch as he stares at the door, wondering what could be on the other side. That was when he heard some movement outside the door and a scent that was familiar to him somehow.
He squints his eyes a bit before hesitating for a moment. Wondering if he should check out the noise and the smell or if should he stay here.
Taking a deep breath, he made up his mind took off the blanket that was covering him, and silently got off the bed. His feet touched the soft carpet which made him cringe a bit, not used to the strange feeling.
He shakes his head again and slowly walks up to the door, careful to not make any noise to alert whoever is behind the door. Once he reached the door, he gently opened it even further to see a large room before him.
The wallpaper here was a grayish tan color and the flooring was some sort of hardwood that made it difficult for him to walk due to his claws.
He looks around and then notices the blonde-haired human in another room that has different things inside it. He sniffs the air and his stomach starts growling, making him touch it as if to silence it.
However, it was too late as the blonde-haired human stopped whatever he was doing to look over at him. The human gave him a large smile as he walked over to him and bent down to his height.
He flinches a bit and takes a step back, still not trusting him fully.
The human seemed to notice this and said something that he didn’t understand. He tilted his head in confusion and the human let out a small chuckle, rubbing his neck nervously.
The blonde-haired human said something again and he shook his head, as if telling the large human that he couldn't understand him and the human seemed to finally understand what he was trying to say as he nodded his head.
The human then reaches out his hands and Izuku walks up to them. The human gently picks him up and places him on his shoulder. He walks over to the other room and Izuku can smell the scent even stronger now, making his stomach growl even louder, and the human laughs which made him blush.
His human companion finished whatever food he was making and put it on a strange circular object. Then he grabbed another circular object and placed more food on it and grabbed the objects after turning off the other strange thing that he was cooking food on.
The blonde-haired human then walked over to a table and placed the food down on it. He gently grabbed him by his chest and placed him on a soft chair that was to his height and he went to another chair that had food on it.
Izuku looked at the food that was in front of him then at the human then back at the food. The human said something in a comforting tune and started eating his food as if to say to him that the food was safe to eat.
I'll be the judge of that. Izuku thought with a huff as he grabbed the food, which had a strange fluffy texture but was still firm. Izuku took his hand away due to it being hot, the large human laughed a bit and gently grabbed his hand, putting a strange yet small plastic object in his hand and showing him that he was supposed to eat it with the object.
Izuku gets the idea and starts eating it, which makes his ears go up and his wings flutter. He starts scarfing it down, though still careful as it is still hot.
His human laughed and told him something that he couldn't understand, the man eating his food more slowly while watching him with fond eyes.
As he finishes his meal, he starts purring with satisfaction because he is so full. His human had also finished his meal and took the objects back into that other area.
He listened as the man somehow made running water appear and started cleaning the objects.
Izuku tilted his head with curiosity and turned around in his chair to look at what his human was doing. The man must have noticed him staring as he stopped what he was doing, making the sound of water disappear, and turning around to give him a friendly smile.
He dried his hands and walked over to him, picking him up off the chair and placing him in a corner of his arm. He said something to him again and started walking into the man's bedroom again and walked into the room that was attached to it.
Izuku tilted his head with confusion in his eyes and his human said something again which made him confused.
Toshinori Yagi P.O.V
Toshinori woke up and noticed that Izuku was still asleep. He smiles softly at the kid and gently ruffles the top of his head, careful of the boy's kitten ears.
He yawns and stretches out his arms as the morning light enters his bedroom through the windows. He rubs the sleep out of his eyes and gets out of bed. Going to the bathroom, he took a shower and brushed his teeth. Thinking about what he should make for breakfast that both he and Izuku can eat for this morning.
I'll make him something simple… How about some rice? Rice is good for kids like him, right? He thought as he placed his toothbrush and toothpaste back in its cup. He gets out of the bathroom and gets dressed for the day.
Once he had done that, he patted Izuku’s head gently and left the room. Remember to leave the door open for the kid so that when he wakes up, he won’t freak out about being alone. He walks into his kitchen and starts opening the cabinets. He grabs the ingredients for a simple Japanese-style breakfast and starts cooking.
The smell of the food gives the room a beautiful aroma as he cooks. He sighs as he checks on the rice in the rice cooker and when he does, he hears the tiniest of footsteps exiting out of his bedroom and he looks over his shoulder to see Izuku up and looking around.
He grins and turns the stove on low. He walks over to Izuku and bends down to his knees. Izuku seemed to flinch at this though, and stepped back. “Hey, I’m not going to hurt you, okay?” He said and Izuku tilted his head and Toshinoir chuckled and rubbed his neck nervously.
“Breakfast is ready, I made some rice as I think that would be a good beginner food for you,” Toshinori said and Izuku shook his head again and he finally understood what the little boy was trying to tell him.
“Oh! You can't understand me, can you? Alright then, let's get you something to eat and then we gotta bath you.” He said as he reached out his hands towards Izuku who walked in between them and he put him on his shoulder after he got up from the floor.
He walks over to the kitchen and stops the stove. Grabbing a bowl, he places the rice into it and does the same in his bowl.
After that, he walks over to the table and places the bowls of rice down. He then gently grabbed Izuku and placed him down in a chair that was the boy's height and went over to his chair.
He starts eating when he sees Izuku staring at him and at the food then back at him. “The food is safe little one, I didn't do anything to it that would harm you.” He said softly, sadness filled his voice though he tried to hide it from the kid.
Poor kid had to check and see if the food was poisonous from his time on the streets… He thought, then he laughed when Izuku grabbed a handful of rice and then put it back when he discovered how hot it was.
He grabs a plastic fork and gently places the utensil in his hands and shows him how to eat it with the food. Izuku seems to get the idea and starts eating the rice, which makes his ears perk up and his wings flutter.
Toshinori laughs as he starts eating his breakfast, watching Izuku scarf it down like his life depended on it. “I'm glad you're enjoying it.” He said with a small smile. He watches Izuku eat with a fond expression. After he finishes his breakfast, he notices that Izuku has finished his breakfast and he grabs the bowls and utensils.
He walks back into the kitchen and turns on the sink. He starts washing the dishes and the pan he made the rice in. As he washes them, he feels eyes on him and he turns around to see Izuku looking at him behind the chair backing and he gives him a friendly smile.
After finishing the dishes, he dries his hands off on the kitchen towel and walks over to Izuku. He picks Izuku up gently walks back into his bedroom and goes into the master bathroom.
“Alright little one, you are going to need a bath and deal with that curly and dirty hair of yours.” He said, turning on the lights and placing Izuku on the toilet.
He turns on the tub, puts it on warm water, and takes off Izuku's old and worn t-shirt. He'll probably want me to keep this… after all, it has all of his cat friends' scents on it. He thought as he folded the shirt and placed it on the sink.
He goes back to his bedroom and grabs a t-shirt, underwear, and pants to put on Izuku after the bath. Once he grabbed them, he went back into the bathroom and saw Izuku looking around with a curious expression on his face and he smiled softly.
After placing the new clothes on the sink with his dirty t-shirt, he goes over to the tub and pokes his finger in the water to check the temperature and sees that it is right.
He nods his head and shakes the water off of his finger and looks over to Izuku. “Alright little man, let’s see if you would like a bath.” He said, gently grabbing Izuku by his chest and slowly putting him in the tub. Letting Izuku get used to the water.
Izuku moved his feet a little, confused as to why he was putting him in water. “You will be alright Izuku. It’s just water and it won’t hurt you.” He said in a soothing voice and once Izuku was fully into the tub, he watched for a reaction.
Once he found none, he let go of Izuku’s chest slowly. Izuku just looked up at him and then at the water and soon, he started playing in the water. He smiles happily and turns off the water spout and grabs a bottle of shampoo.
He starts putting the shampoo in Izuku's hair, trying to get through the very messy curls and tangles the kid has. Surprisingly, Izuku doesn’t do much and just mainly plays in the water.
I have heard kids who were abandoned and rescued be more afraid of water and yet… Izuku doesn't seem to mind it. He thought with some concern.
As he washed Izuku's hair, he kept an eye on his reaction. Izuku seems to know that he is looking at him as he looks up at him with a slight glare.
The glare startles him a bit, before shaking his head and sighing.
After a couple more hours of cleaning Izuku from all of the dirt and grime from him being outside. He turns off the tub and takes Izuku out of it.
Placing the boy on the toilet once again, he grabs a hairbrush and starts to comb out the hair. That made Izuku jump a bit and hiss in pain due to how much he had to pull.
“I know it hurts but we have to get rid of these curls.” He said to Izuku in a soothing tone. Izuku kept glaring at him and once he was finished, the hair looked nicer and now he noticed how green it was.
I wonder if Izuku's mother had green hair. He thought as he grabbed the new shirt and pants for the little man to wear.
He gently places the shirt on, which is a white and green striped shirt that surprisingly fits Izuku, who grumbled about needing to wear a new shirt when he wore his old shirt for a month.
He then helps Izuku put on some pants, which Izuku does not like at all. It makes sense, he didn't have any pants on when we found him. He thought and he was grateful for Naomasa cutting some holes in the clothes for Izuku's wings and tail as he helped him get them out.
“There! All cleaned, you probably feel a whole lot better huh?” He asks Izuku who just squinted his eyes at him and he chuckles nervously. “Oookay. We should probably take you to the doctor so that we can check for any injuries.” He said as he grabbed Izuku and placed him on his shoulder.
He walks out of the bathroom and takes out his phone to call his primary care doctor.
