Questioning: Lien Twining (1)
Date: February 9th, 2020.
Interrogator: Date KanameSubject works as a janitor at the Horadori Institute of Genetics. His shift that morning began at 5:00. At approximately 5:30, an unknown man in a hat, scarf and sunglasses—”Hat Guy”—entered the main laboratory; he claimed to have permission to enter and that he had been “coming here a long time.” “Hat Guy” turned the heel of a statue and entered a music keycode which revealed a set of hidden stairs. He insisted Subject should descend in his stead, as it “cannot wait any longer,” then departed the premises.
At approximately 6:00, Subject descended. After knocking on a metal plate, Subject heard a scream. He discovered a room on the other side of the plate by lifting it via a series of hidden switches, which opened the door behind it where he encountered “Kubo Uru” (real name unknown). They had not met prior. Subject led “Kubo Uru” out the back door.
Subject followed “Kubo Uru” as he struggled to locate a police station. Describes “Kubo Uru” as shaking and squinting throughout this process. They ducked into a convenience store after Subject spotted Horadori Institute vehicles in pursuit of them, and Subject called Detective Date Kaname for aid.

Interrogator: Date KanameOn February 8th, 2020, Subject drank after work and stumbled into the Horadori Institute by accident. He does not recall how he got past security or the metal plates, but believes he was down there for ~24 hours. He subsisted off beef jerky that was already in the room and slept in the readily available cot. Though he left his phone at a bar—he no longer remembers which—he did bring a black book he had on hand with him. He says the book is a gift from long ago and will not let Detective Date look at it. He states his disfigurement resulted from a car accident when he was a teenager.
Note 1: Subject is uncooperative and unstable, and his testimony is unreliable. See notes 2, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9.
Note 2: Subject had a panic attack when presented with the elevator, which was not relieved by taking the stairs.
