Chapter 11
[And then we'll go back to another part of Nearburg, in another alley a garbage man arrived with his garbage truck - a slightly lazy fat dog guy in a slightly smoky yet dirty uniform and smoking a cigarette, while he took out one of the filled garbage cans and filled it inside the garbage truck to tidy it up. And while the garbage dog guy was trying to get another one of the garbage cans, and suddenly he was interrupted by a strange noise like some stealthy running the growl of a malevolent creature, he, out of fear, turned to look everywhere in the alley. There's nothing here.]
A Garbage Dog Guy: Nah. This is all just imagination.
[And he continued and still had a chance to take the garbage can. POV of wolf-like creature, while stealthily and slowly walking in the shadows further behind garbage dog guy, who imperceptibly added more garbage to his garbage truck. Before the garbage man could grab one of the garbage cans, he was startled and froze in fear by the terrifying gnarling sound of the stealing beast. He put the garbage can back on the ground so he could slowly turn around to look, and gasped and trembled with fear and panic as he saw the werewolf stand up and quickly pounce on the frightened garbage man, who was screaming in terror.
Meanwhile, on the corner of the street from further down the alley entrance were two workers (a short bear guy and a taller and slightly chubby yet another pig lady) who were closing their separate shops (on the left, pig butcheress' butcher shop, and on the right, male bear florist's flower shop)to return home until tomorrow to continue their shop work for some time. And they instantly hear the garbage man's scream from afar.]
Bear Florist: What was that?
Pig Butcheress: I… I don’t know.
Bear Florist: I'll go into the alley myself and check what's going on.
Pig Butcheress: Okay.
[The florist did so and quickly walked down the alley to review the recent incident. Here the darkness of the alley became a complete mess with scattered things, even garbage cans with scattered garbage items on the ground. A few scratches are visible on the wall, as if it was scratched by an unknown savage beast. While the florist was slowly walking on, suddenly a werewolf's huge hand grabbed him from the shadows, pulling him up to pounce on him too.
Then, far beyond the entrance to the alley, police officers were sitting outside one of the police cars on the road, as if they were relaxing, but still standing guard.]
Pig Butcheress: (O.C; but with horror and panic) Somebody, will you hear and help me out or not!!
[The police officers immediately heard this, and immediately noticed as they saw the pig butcheress quickly approaching them in her very hysterical fear.]
Male Police Officer #3: Hey, what's the matter now, ma’am?
Pig Butcheress: (In her hysterical fear) HELP!! HELP!! Officers, you have to do something!! That was so horrible!!
Male Police Officer #3: ‘Ey, slow down or relax, ma’am! Don’t be like this. And tell us what‘s happening there?
Pig Butcheress: I SAW A MONSTER!! There in the alley! A terribly huge, mad dog-like creature!! It attacks and threatens some people, especially my shop neighbor opposite my shop! You need to stop it or it will be too late!!
Male Police Officer #4: Okay, okay, ma’am! We got it! We will go to check in and stop this unknown creature as you said! But please, don't you worry so much like that, miss!
Pig Butcheress: It was so horrible! I didn't even see it coming nor expect it to happen like this! I almost died from this terror!!
Male Police Officer #3: Could you two shut her up immediately to calm her down! Bob and I will quickly go to the alley to check out what's going on there!
[After both male police officer #3 and male police officer #4 (whose name was Bob) quickly headed towards the alley, the other officers began to calm the pig butcheress, who was still hysterically scared and screaming loudly in terror.
In the alley, before the officers arrived and got their flashlights to turn on, they walked around the area and realized they saw a lot of mess like scattered things, scratches on the wall and the ground, and then they noticed a body lying there. The officers approached and saw that it was a wounded and mutilated but unconscious garbage man, who, suffering from a werewolf's attack, had a torn uniform and was also scratched and bleeding.
Male Police Officer #3: Jesus Christ. (He knelt down to pick up Garbage Man's hand and checked to see if he had a pulse) This man’s alive. However, he was temporarily unconscious and, damn, had very serious injuries.
[They also noticed the bear florist, who, almost unconscious, had also been maimed and attacked by a werewolf, lying on his back against the wall, breathing heavily. After police officer #4 approached the florist and called his fellows to pick him up and the garbage man to call an ambulance, meanwhile, the police officer #3 noticed the tracks of the mysterious beast attacker, heading towards the left side of the alley, which is the back corner of two separate stores. Police officer #3 followed the tracks, which lead to an entrance with a broken door at the back inside the pig butcheress' shop. The officer with the flashlight in his hand went inside and was in the back room. He heard something further, a strange chewing sound, which seemed to be coming from the freezer room. Maybe this same beast had gone into the butcher shop after the attack and was looking for some meat to eat. At that moment, the police officer #3 slowly and carefully entered the freezer room, a place where some meat would be kept at a cool temperature with the drifting icy fog. As long as he walked until he saw with horror, there sat a werewolf, who was eating a piece of meat so brutally and savagely, like a hungry and lonely predator. As soon as the creature noticed the police officer, it roared maliciously at him. Because of this, police officer #3, who was frightened by the terrifying and unnatural roar of the gruesome beast, quickly ran out of the butcher shop through the alley entrance.]
Male Police Officer #3: (To a male police officer #4) For God’s sake, Bob! There’s a monster in there!
[And we heard this beast come out of the butcher shop, run as fast as it could to the farthest entrance, and try to attack the police officers, who quickly pulled out their guns. However, the werewolf merely pushed and kicked them out to get its way as it exited the alley onto the corner of the road. Some other residents saw a large and hairy hideous monster emerge, one of them an older cat lady screaming in terror.
Meanwhile, Cheryl and Randolph Grant, one of the celebrities in Nearburg, and was also the teacher of the ballet class, which Cliff, alone or with Cheryl, so secretly visited him for lessons only in the evenings. They walked along, even talking about Cliff, who hadn't come to ballet lessons, until they stopped and saw from afar an unknown creature running on two legs from the alley, and with a furious growl and roar at the frightened people and waving its front paws with claws to try to attack them aggressively. However, it gave Cheryl clues to her guess as she stared intently at the creature.]
Cheryl: (Gasps quietly) What a second… (To Randolph) Um… Mr. Grant, it seemed to me that this menacing werewolf looked a little familiar. But, I don't know what it is at all…
Randolph: (Confused) Eh… I know I have no clues about this, Mrs. Beaver, but what exactly?...
[As the beast kept scaring and threatening the residents, until it noticed even more police officers running out to catch it. Most likely, the werewolf quickly opened a manhole along the way and pulled out the lid, and eventually climbed through the manhole into the sewer and disappeared. The policemen who ran out and stopped near the manhole opened, and with their guns they shot right into it. But for a second, they realized, as they stopped shooting, that they had not managed to catch this threatening monster.
The scene goes to the Nearburg subway station, while the train has come to a halt, some passengers have got out halfway, including a middle-class but taller white and horned goat guy with his business uniform, fedora hat and a briefcase in his left hand. He approached the device to put coins in it to pay for his subway train route. Meanwhile, in another part of the subway, an open shaft with an iron mesh cover was visible below the wall, and it became obvious when a werewolf climbed out of the sewer into the subway. Back at the halfway point, the goat guy, after finally calculating his route and getting a receipt from the device, continued walking through the tunnel and stood on the escalator to the top floor of the subway. As he tried to turn to the left tunnel, however, his calm feeling changed to both of his worry and fear, he heard something from afar in the darkness, unnatural heavy breathing and the growl of a menacing beast. The business goat stands and looks intently at a distant place beyond the blurred darkness.]
Business Goat Guy: Uh… Hello? Is someone here?
[But then it became quiet for a short while, there was no one there in the darkness.]
Business Goat Guy: (Concerned frankly) Hm! I hope this is all just imagination.
[He continues to turn into the left tunnel. While he was still in another corridor along some curtained tunnels, from another further tunnel into the corridor a beast slowly stealthily entered behind the goat guy, growling and chuffing fiercely at him. As Goat Guy froze in fear and panic, he turned and saw a monster slowly approaching him to pounce.]
Business Goat Guy: (Frightened) Oh, good Heavens.
The Wolf Beast: (with a low pitched but growling tone, drool flows from its mouth with fangs showing and terrifying eyes flashing) Cat...Butt!….
[The business goat guy, out of fright, began to flee from the pursuing huge creature to the right side of the tunnel.]
Business Goat Guy: (Terrified) God!
[He managed to find a better place to hide from the beast's attack. While running to the edge of the tunnel, he noticed the emergency door on the left side, before he went and tried to open it, but it was still locked, then he continued to run further into one of the tunnels, and the creature was running so fast and energetic with four paws farther away the goat guy. The terrified goat passenger suddenly became exhausted as he ran, and he noticed a door in the corner before he slipped off his feet and fell to the ground with his briefcase scattered, and his nose bleeding. He quickly stood up as he approached the door, but like the emergency one, it was still locked. The goat guy groaned in doom and as he felt and froze how far the beast was approaching, he leaned his back against the closed door, defenseless, trembling with horror as he saw when the creature appeared in a straight tunnel and still slowly walked as it approached him. It growled with drool flowing from its mouth as it closely watched the horrified business goat guy, preparing to so brutally attack him.]
The Wolf Beast: CATBUTT!!!!!! (when it quickly jumped on goat guy to pounce, the scene blurred into darkness)
[Cut to the outside of Nearburg at night, with a shining full moon in the sky, as the horrifying screams of a business goat guy could be heard all over the town.]
~~~
[Let's go back to Nearburg National Park, mostly in a tent where Cat, Dog and Lola were sitting waiting to catch a werewolf with a trap. The bell in the tent began to ring loudly.]
Lola: Boom! I think we've got an uninvited guest, guys.
[As they quickly left the tent outside, Lola took the flashlight to turn on the light, as she and CatDog approached and stopped near the cage, and as Lola raised the flashlight beam right at the cage. But the moment Cat, Dog and Lola's anticipation subsided, a lone wolf was found sitting in a closed cage, with an empty bowl, maybe the wolf has finished eating meat.]
Dog: (Frightened before he hid behind Cat's back) Aah! It’s a werewolf, guys! Hide quickly and save yourself as much as possible!
Cat: Oh, relax, Dog! Look, this is not a werewolf at all. It's just a wolf that inevitably fell into a trap.
Dog: Oh. I get it.
Lola: (She carefully opened the cage, petted the shy wolf gently and, and released it, before quickly climbing out of the cage and disappearing into the forest) However, it was quite unfair to catch the werewolf. I still have to find out why it is not in the forest yet?
Dog: Hey, guys! My troublesome instinct was tingling again as something happened right here in the town.
[When Cat and Lola turned and looked at the distant Nearburg, they immediately heard and saw some police and ambulances driving on the road, which are specifically for cases of werewolf rampages.]
Dog: You think we kind of missed something tonight, right?
Cat: Yep.
[CatDog and Lola quickly ran back to Nearburg to find out about recent incidents regarding werewolf attacks.]
