Chapter Text

INTROS

DEWDROPS POV

Dewdrop stared from the window of his room "Why does father want me to go to the *amazing last names* wedding anyways" Dewdrop said to himself pulling on his hair slightly in frustration, it was always so loud and overwhelming at weddings and big events.

Dewdrop heard a knock on the door of his room he reluctantly moved away from the window and walked over to the door it was his father's assistant,

" Sir Dewdrop your father has requested this letter be handed to you it is for the wedding you are going to on your father's behalf"

"Thank you" Dewdrop said taking the letter from the assistant's hand nodding slightly, he stepped back from the door as he closed it. He sat down on his bed opening the letter...

"Dear Dewdrop,

I believe you are already aware that you are attending the *amazing last names* wedding in 2 days on my behalf. Please dress accordingly, don't cause a scene there it is an important event and has high behavior standards. You will be escorted there by 2 of my highest-ranking guards."

Dewdrop read the letter in his head rolling his eyes tossing the letter to the side, he laid down his hair spread out like a golden halo his stubby white horns a nice accent to his hair.

AETHERS POV

Aether was sitting with Phantom, his brother, in the garden talking to him about the wedding coming up.

"Do you think father will let you go to the wedding with me Ant?" Aether asked as Phantom was reading the wedding invite.

" He should I am 15 now, he let you go out on your own at my age" Phantom said handing the invite back to Aether. " Did you hear that King *Unnamed* is sending his son to the wedding instead of going himself?"

"Where did you hear that from?" Aether asked rubbing a hand through his short brown hair locking eyes with phantom waiting for a response

"I heard father talking about it with a guard" Phantom said tapping his foot against the garden wall.

" Are you excited that this might be your first major social event Ant?" Aether questioned a light smile on his face, Phantom nodded

"What about you Aeth?" Phantom asked curious to the answer,

" I am probably going to drink or smoke most of the time these types of events are really boring after the first few times" Aether replied shrugging slowly standing up, " Want to go get some food I'm starving?" Aether asked as he stood facing Phantom...

Chapter Text

Dewdrop sat in the back of the car looking out the window at the changing scenery, the shirt he was wearing clung uncomfortably to his skin. The white shirt wasn't scratchy which Dewdrop was thankful for, the vest was creased due to him sitting slightly digging into his skin but not enough for Dewdrop to be bothered to adjust it. Dewdrop looked at his reflection in the glass window, his hair slightly messily but still very neat looking in a bun with some loose strands at the front framing his face. The car came to a stop Infront of a venue covered in white and light pink flowers and white satin on nearly every surface 4 guards stood at the entrance Infront of a big white arch Dewdrop opened the car door and stepped out of the car quickly fixing his shirt and vest a guard stood next to him following him as he walked up to the entrance,

"Name," One of the guards at the entrance said holding a clipboard with some paper on it and a pen in their off hand,

"Dewdrop *Last name*" Dewdrop replied fidgeting with the bottom hem of his shirt

"You may Enter" The guard said stepping back to let them through,

Dewdrop and the guard walked through the arch into the main venue. It was filled with people dressed to the nine in formal attire, Dewdrops ears hurt slightly from the noise, but it didn't bother him much at that moment in time. He scanned the room, and his eyes fell on two ghouls that looked to be around his age. The taller one was holding a drink, presumably wine, the smaller one was talking about something ineligible from where Dewdrop was. Dewdrop strayed over near them listening in on their conversation, as he looked over at them, he locked eyes with the taller ghoul The tall one smirked and signaled for Dewdrop to come over. Dewdrop walked over cautiously.

"Hello, "The tall ghoul said when dewdrop made it over,

"Hi" Dewdrop said nervously looking up at the tall ghouls face. He had purple eyes and very thick eye lashes and a piercing through his right eyebrow, freckles along his nose and cheeks. Dewdrop caught himself staring and looked away,

"What is your name? My Name is Aether, and this is Phantom" Aether asked and signaled to the smaller ghoul,

"I'm Dewdrop, Nice to meet you" Dewdrop said waving to them slightly...

The music stopped and someone said over a microphone " take your seats as the wedding is starting soon"

"Bye" Aether said looking Dewdrop up and down then walking away with phantom to their seats, Dewdrop watched them walk away then he went to go find his seat.

[An hour or so after the wedding ceremony as I aint writing all that]

*Sensory issues/ crying/kind of panic attack*

Dewdrop was sitting in an empty room, his knees up to his chest, his hands over his ears, his fingertips pulling on his hair, it was all so loud, Tears pinpricked the corner of his eyes, his throat felt like it was constricting. His head felt numb, a thumping in the back of his mind, he heard the door open and shifted to conceal himself with his arms more he watched the door quietly sniffling. It was Aether from before, his freckled face poked through the doorway briefly checking the room than entering taking a blunt from his pocket lighting it and going to lean by the window as Dewdrop watched still crying, his head was slightly less numb his heart still pounding in his head. Dewdrop buried his head in his knees not wanting to be heard, Aether heard a noise from behind him and turned slightly to look at where the noise came from and saw dewdrop's blonde hair sprawled over his slightly shaking shoulders quiet sniffles coming from him. Aether sat down Infront of him softly tapping him on the foot,

"Hey, are you ok?" Aether questioned in a soft tone waiting for a verbal or physical response,

"Y-y-yea" Dewdrop said trying to minimum the shaking or stuttering is his voice he shuffled more against the wall an lifted his head up still covering is ears,

“Why are you crying?” Aether asked, grabbing some un used napkins from his pocket and handing them to Dewdrop.

“All the noise is just a bit overwhelming” Dewdrop replied taking a napkin and wiping his Cheeks and Eyes.

“So how are you enjoying the event?” Aether questioned trying to distract him from some of t the noise,

“it was decent until it got really loud” Dewdrop replied tapping his shoe against the floor,

“Do you want to go get a drink with me?” Aether asked standing up slowly reaching his hand out.

“Sure” Dewdrop replied smiling slightly as he cautiously reached out and took his hand and stood up brushing his clothes of from any dust or dirt on him,

Dewdrop followed Aether out of the room to the main Areas with the food and drinks Aether grabbed them two white plastic cups plastic cups and handing one to Dewdrop for him to fill up with liquor of hie choosing.

“So, I havenet really ever drank before what types drinks are good?" Dewdrop questiones looking at all the different drinks,

“The wine is the only good stuff here” Aether replied sipping a cup of wine as he watched Dewdrop filling his cup with wine...

After a few drinks Dewdrop and Aether were drunk sitting on the floor of an empty room, Dewdrop was leaning on Aether's side his head on Aether's shoulder. Dewdrop had a slight blush on his face he had never been this close to someone in ages, The warmth was nice.
