Chapter Text

The blonde man sits at a bar, his name is Lawrence Gordon and he was a saw victim.

It had been a month after the events of the bathroom game, a month since he cut off his foot, a month since he left Adam. He can't get the thought of Adam dead in the bathroom out of his head, He feels bad for not coming back to save the man but he never got the chance to. Amanda had told him that Adam had died in the bathroom. it wasn't fair. Adam had won his damn game but still died, it wasn't fair how Adam was put there for not cherishing his life. From what Adam had told Lawrence he had a reason not to cherish his life. He didn't have money to support himself, didn't have any family, and lived in some shit-hole apartment. Lawrence should have cherished his life he had everything. An amazing wife, a kid, money, a good job, and a big house. But Lawrence took it all for granted. He still can't get the thought of what had happened when he left the bathroom out of his head.

The blonde thinks to himself about everything that has happened after the game, the divorce, his family, his job, and his life. Lawrence hadn't been a very important apprentice to Jigsaw and would only ever be there with John if he needed to perform surgery on the victims. He prefers to be a Unknown apprentice anyway, He doesn't want to be known as a jigsaw disciple until the time is right.

Lawrence needed to pay more attention to who was coming in and leaving. why would he? But he did get a surprise when he heard someone call his name.

" Lawrence?" A voice said behind the blonde, it was Adam standing there, wearing a dirty t-shirt, and a sweatshirt. He had his arm lying in a sling, Lawrence was glad to see Adam but Adam wasn't glad to see him.

Adam waited for Lawrence to come back, He believed the man would come to save him, Adam waited and waited but Lawrence never arrived. When Adam saw the light he thought that Lawrence had finally sent someone for him but it had just been Amanda, she had tried to suffocate Adam but he survived after going unconscious. A while later Adam woke up But he wasn't in the bathroom anymore, Where was he?

Adams's arm had been bandaged up and had been put into a sling. He didn't care where it came from or who put it there but it felt so much better. He had been in that bathroom for what felt like months with his gunshot wound unhealed. It hurt him so much but he couldn't do anything. Adam felt so dizzy and exhausted when he woke up, but he always felt that way when he would wake up. I mean he was starving and could only drink what was left of the water in the bathtub.

Adam sits up and looks around the room that he woke up in until he hears something. The door in the side of the room slowly opens and reveals John Kramer, The man who was lying in the middle of the bathroom game Adam was put through. Adam wants to jump at the man and attack him but he knows he cannot, He is too weak and exhausted to fight.

It turns out John had an offer for Adam. Adam gets to live but he will have to work for Jigsaw by taking photographs of all of the victims for the games John is planning. He is hesitant at first but hey it's the job he'd been doing for about 2 years now, right? he had dropped out of high school, didn't have a real job(and probably couldn't even get one), so he decided to work as a photographer and spy on people for money. Adam accepts the offer and works for John, he clarifies that nobody will know about Adam for his safety and after John has everything he needs Adam can live his life just like how it was before. when Amanda walks into the room she hands him the stuff she had taken from him when she put him in the game(a belt, his wallet with some arcade cards, 5 dollars, a photo of him and Scott Tibbs when they were teenagers, and some coins.), Adam had recognized her. "rockstar?" Adam says faintly and looks at her. He had remembered taking a photo of her when he was handing out flyers for Scott's band. He also remembers her from when she came to kill him, at the time he couldn't tell if it was her or not but now he can. "Hello, Adam," Amanda responds. She was upset she had failed to kill Adam, She was confused about how he survived but he could not say anything because she couldn't let John know what she had tried to do. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ it was a month after the events of the game. Adam dreaded the idea of going back to his apartments but he knew he couldn't afford a motel room any longer and couldn't stay with John (he didn't even trust staying there with Amanda anyway, what if she tried to kill him again?) it had been late at night and Adam decided to stop by a bar, what else could he do? He didn't have a job, couldn't even get a job since he dropped out of high school, he was broke, and worked for a fucking cult leader! well, Adam wanted to do something fun so why not drink? When Adam walked into the bar he recognized someone, and he realized who it was, It was Lawrence. Adam wanted to cuss him out, Wanted to kill him! But something in him wanted to talk to him, So he did.

Chapter Text

Lawrence was stunned when he saw the younger man, he thought he was hallucinating. Adam is supposed to be dead but he's standing right in front of Lawrence.

"Adam?" the blonde said. He looked like he had seen a ghost, but that's what he thought was happening.

"You fucking left me! you promised you would come back for me!" Adam shouted at Lawrence. He was so angry

"I thought you were dead, Adam," Lawrence replied. He was relieved that Adam wasn't dead but so confused.

"oooh you would love that, wouldn't you! you wanted me to fucking die in there!" Adam screams at Lawrence. He believed Lawrence would come back to save him, he thought he would be saved but the days would pass and there would be no sign of Lawrence returning.

"Adam please stop shouting You're making a scene. and let me explain." Lawrence stands up and tries to calm Adam down. He tries to explain to him how he believed that the younger man was dead.

"I don't give a shit if I'm making a scene! you left me in that shitty bathroom for so long!" Adam pushes Lawrence away and keeps shouting at Lawrence.

Lawrence groans in frustration, Why won't Adam just listen? Lawrence blocks out Adams screaming and shouting while he thinks to himself about what's happening. Amanda had told him that Adam died. Had she lied to Lawrence? Lawrence finally snaps back to reality when Adam shoves him

"fucking answer me! Why didn't you come back for me!" Adam screams at Lawrence, his eyes getting watery, Was he..crying?

"Amanda had told me you died, Adam. And calm down, Please." Lawrence grabs Adam's shoulder and tries to get him to stop screaming. "Now please tell me, how are you alive?" Adam finally calms down, He is still pissed off at Lawrence but he believes what he had told him because Amanda did think he was dead.

Adam huffs and finally calms down. "Just some old guy helped me. I don't know when I had just woken up in this old room with my arm bandaged up and the old guy had-" Adam pauses for a moment, He doesn't know if he should tell Lawrence about the apprenticeship. Adam chooses not to and continues talking. "He had just let me go."

Lawrence knows exactly who Adam had been talking about when he mentioned an Old man, He knew it had been John who let Adam go. But Lawrence had been a bit suspicious when Adam had cut himself off while he was talking. Lawrence had chosen to ignore it and decided to offer Adam a ride home.

"Adam do you mind if I drive you home? it's late out and you don't seem to be in the right condition to drive right now."

Adam wanted to argue with him about it but he had been right, Adam had been too exhausted to drive and didn't even have a car to drive in any way, He had walked to the bar from his crappy motel a few blocks down. so he had agreed.

"That would be nice..thank you."

Chapter Text

Once Lawrence and Adam arrive at the motel Lawrence finally breaks the silence.

"Is Your shoulder okay? You have been holding it the whole time and it looks like it hurts." Lawrence looks at his bandaged shoulder and arm and feels horrible. It had been his fault Adam even had that wound, Lawrence had been the one who shot him.

Adam looks at his shoulder and back at Lawrence. He had been right, his arm had been hurting so much. It had been untreated for so long, so Adam finally answers.

"Hm? it's fine, just kinda stings." Adam responds "Thank you for bringing me home by the way."

"Anytime, just wanted to make sure you got home safe. Also, I can get you something for your arm if you need it" Lawrence offers.

Adam steps out of the car and shuts the car door. Before he starts walking he turns around to Lawrence

"Do you uhh..Wanna come in?" Adam asks. His motel room hadn't been the best, it was a dingy old messy motel room like the rest of the rooms but it was the only thing he could afford.

"That would be nice" Lawrence responds and exits the car. He follows Adam to his motel room

Adam unlocks the door to his room and steps in; Lawrence follows. The room is small. It has one bed, a counter, a mini fridge, and a microwave. The floor is covered in Adam's dirty clothes and some trash.

Lawrence looks around the room and thinks to himself. Adam looks at him and thinks *'Knowing him he's probably judging the mess.'* he snaps back to reality after Adam speaks. "so uhhmm...-" Lawrence cuts him off before Adam can think of something to say. "How is your arm? it uh...it looks like its healing." Lawrence lies, He knows it isn't healing and getting worse, I mean whoever tried to fix his arm did a horrible job.

"I mean maybe it is? Im not a fucking doctor Larry, so I wouldn't know. But it does still hurt.."

Lawrence is startled when Adam calls him Larry. Nobody has called him that after the divorce. He ignores the thought and replies to Adam, "I can bring you some medicine if you'd like, or try to check the wound myself."

Adam thinks a bit, He did want help for his arm but decided to ask about some medicine. "oh uhm medicine would be nice, Thank you, Larry." Adam hated asking for things. It made him feel weak but he needed the medicine.

It had been about a week since Lawrence had gone to Adam's house. He had been coming over frequently to give him some medicine and really just to check up on him and make sure he was okay. Lawrence had arrived at Adams Motel and knocked, but nobody answered. Lawrence just assumes Adam is sleeping and knocks harder, But there was still no answer. So Lawrnece texts Adam

LG: "Where are you?"

AS: "I'm out why?

LG: "Well I brought you some medicine, It's 4."

AS: "Yeah yeah I know, but I'm busy right now so uh'll be back around like..7"

LG: "What the fuck are you doing that takes 3 hours?"

AS: "work but it isn't your business. I have to go now Bye Larry"

Lawrence was confused, Adam didn't have a job? Or at least never mentioned it to Lawrence. But he would have known about it at least. Where was Adam?

Chapter Text

Adam couldn't tell Lawrence what he was doing, that he was working for the man who had locked away both Adam and Lawrence. But the thing is Adam had been working for John way before the bathroom game, He didn't suspect anything and just thought the guy was a repeat customer.

Adam had been following a man, Dave Harris, who had been running a scam. Adam didn't really pay attention to why he would be a player; he just wanted to get this over with. He hated being a part of these damn games but hey easy work, sometimes he even gets to pick the players.

he watches the man sell stuff to people, watches as he uses the money for beer and cigarettes. *'God I want a cigarette so bad right now.'* Adam thinks to himself. John had made him stop smoking; It seemed like he didn't cherish his life and wouldn't care if he got lung cancer from smoking. And as a cancer patient, John took offense to that and made him quit.

Adam had been following the man for about an hour now, he took the final shot and now Adam's job was done. Well at least for today, In a few days, he knows John will need more photos, he always does.

Adam heads to his apartment, how does he still have that anyway? He hasn't paid rent in a few months. Maybe John had been paying his rent in return, Adam doesn't really care tho just as long as he has somewhere to live and work is fine by him.

Once he's finished getting the photos ready he puts them all in a little bag and looks around the apartment. He decided to check his voicemails. There were like 10 from his parents that he never bothered to listen to, and one from Scott screaming at him about the stupid photoshoot. Adam finally leaves the apartment, John doesn't like it when people aren't on time he believes it's disrespectful.

Adam grabs the photos from the counter locks the door and leaves the apartment.

Chapter Text

Adam arrives at the warehouse and steps out of his car. He grabs the bag of photographs and heads inside.

When Adams steps into the warehouse he is met with Amanda, Mark Hoffman, and someone Adam didn't recognize, He looked young. Amanda and mark were auguring about something stupid like they always do, until Adam interrupts them

"ahem."Adam gets their attention "I um..I got the photos." he says holding up the bag of photos and looks at Amanda. Him and Amanda have been talking more when Adam comes to the warehouse and shes gotten a "Nicer" to him. I mean shes still a dick but hey it's Amanda.

Amanda walks away from mark and the other person. she grabs the bag from Adam "thanks." Amanda realizes Adam is eyeing the other person. "Oh uh Adam this is Daniel, Daniel Matthews" she pulls Daniel over. Daniel was wearing a black long sleeve undershirt with a wrath of the gods shirt on-top of it, Some cargo pants, and some old converse.

*'Hes a young kid, Probably about Fifteen or sixteen.'* Adam thinks to himself. He then realizes that Daniel had been wearing a wrath of the gods shirt and got reminded of Scott.

"You like wrath of the gods?" Adam looks at Daniel and smiles.

"huh? Oh uh yeah they're cool" Daniel replies. He seems nervous, But i mean who wouldn't? working for a serial killer is shitty, especially at such a young age.

"so Amanda can i talk to you in private real quick?" Adam looks at Amanda.

"sure." Amanda replies and follows Adam outside.

They shut the door to the warehouse, It's quiet, windy, and cold out. I mean it's the middle of November.

"What do you want Adam? It's freezing out here." Amanda complains

"What the hell happened to the kid?" Adam asks, What the hell would drive a kid to work for Jigsaw? Was he forced like Adam had been?

"Nothing Adam. Just mind your fucking business, All you need to know is that it was his choice. Now goodbye." Amanda turns away and goes back inside.

Adam was suspicious, Why the hell would a kid want to work for a killer? He decides to talk to Daniel by himself when he gets the chance, But he needs to go home now before Lawrence gets suspicious.
