Chapter Text

“If you want to lay a finger on her, you got to get rid of me first.”

With a snap of her fingers, Alastra summoned her shadow, which took Charlie by her shoulders, making her disappeared. Adam frowned and yelled exasperated.

“HEY!! WHAT THE FUCK!! BRING HER BACK, YOU DUMB BIT…!”

Before he could finish his threat, a dazzling light surrounded him and Alastra, blinding him for a moment. When he finally was able to open his eyes, he found himself inside another force field, but this one was golden and smaller, covering jus the rooftop. It was just him and Alastra inside it.

Completely astonished, he flew toward the golden sphere, clenching his fist to punch it with all his force.

But the magic prevailed.

This confused him, since he could destroy the previous force field very easily. However, he could feel there was something different about this one. The magic didn’t feel like a sinner’s doing. It didn’t radiate the heathen energy human souls were capable of doing in Hell.

The magic in front of him felt both demonic and holly.

No sinner could do it, not even a regular Hellborn could.

It could only be someone…

“Well, well. Now it’s just the two of us, shall we dance?” Alastra spoke, extending an arm toward him. “If you manage to kill me, you can get out of here and kept doing your thing, what about that?”

Adam stared at her in bewilderment, then…

…Then, he laughed.

“HA, HA, HA, HA… THIS was your plan?! To make fucking princess trapped you WITH ME.”

He kept laughing for a while, like a maniac. He even bent down, holding his belly, unable to control his laughter. Then, he abruptly stopped to look at the sinner with a deadly grin.

“I really hate sluts like you, y’ know? Just like Lilith, you think yourself the hottest shit. You need a real man to put you in your place!”

“Hmm, perhaps, but I see none around, do you?” the woman commented with a mischievous smile, while nonchalantly checking her fingernails.

The First Man’s face became a menacing promise, as he flew high to the top of the sphere, holding his guitar.

“I'm going to wipe that shit-eating grin off your face, CAUSE RADIO IS FUCKING DEAD!”

He launched himself toward Alastra, who, in exchange, snaped her fingers. At that moment, shadows covered the entirety of the force field’s interior, plunging it into darkness.

The woman stepped backwards, letting her shadows swallowed her, just in time to avoid Adam’s strike.

“HA! You’re gonna need more than that, sweetie.” He mocked while spinning his axe. “One swing of this baby and this little trick of yours’s will begone.”

Just as he was preparing to cut the darkness around him with his Holy weapon, shadow tendrils burst all around him. All of them holding angelic steel spears.

And in a heartbeat, they threw themselves at the First Man.

He barely had time to react, evading the first thrust, as well as the second, but the third one did scratch him in the arm, making him grunt in pain.

“Ouch! Hey! That. Fucking. Hurt.!”

He kept flying around, dodging attacks, that came non-stop from everywhere at once. Little by little, and despite his fast reflexes, more strikes reached him.

He now had scratches in multiple parts of his body, including his wings, with make it more difficult to flew around. He groaned with annoyance.

He tried teleporting out of the force field, but he couldn’t. Something, someone, was fighting back to keep him inside.

Charlie.

He could sense it. Wherever she was hiding, she was concentrating all her strength to keep him inside that force field. Adam tried to surpass the princess’s magical barrier, but it was difficult, since he was unable to focus with the constant attacks directed at him.

Another strike reached him, this time at the side of his abdomen.

“Fuck this shit”.

The First Man was about to conjure a blast of his Holy Light to destroy the shield… when a cold and wet feeling started spreading through his chest. He looked down there, finding his own reflection staring back… through the steel of a spear.

The small spurt of light he managed to conjure in his right hand vanished, as he fell to his knees. A shadow crawled out from under his wings and arise in front of him.

Alastra was looking down at him, with golden blood soaking from her red nails. When she spoke, she sounded tender, almost maternal.

“You really thought I would be so stupid not to bring any angelic steel with me, didn’t you?”

Adam responded by quickly extending a hand to send a blast of light in Alastra’s direction, but his attack was stopped when another of the woman’s shadows stabbed his hand. He still managed to throw a small fragment of light, and even though it didn’t hit Alastra, it bounced off the golden force field, leaving a fracture on its surface.

More shadows threw spears at Adam’s direction, stabbing his other arm, as well as his wings, pinning him to the ground. He was now immobilized.

The First Man growled in pain, as more golden blood poured from the several cuts in his body. Meanwhile, Alastra went to kneel in front of him, grabbing one of his mask’s horns to make him look at her.

“If I were a man like you, I might have been arrogant enough to thought I could defeat you with no backup. But that’s the difference between you and me. I ain’t used to things be handled to me on a silver plate.”

At that moment, Charlie emerged from the shadows around, holding her trident. The girl gasped as if she had been holding her breath.

“Oh, hell... I can’t believe we did it!”

Charlie spoke with relief and a bit of excitement, while Alastra remained calmer and focused.

“Not quite yet.”

One of her shadows passed her a knife. Then, she proceeded to remove the exorcist’s mask, revealing his real face. The sinner examined the First Man’s features with curios eyes.

After a few seconds, she raised an eyebrow.

“I wanted to see your eyes before I finish you… Just a personal quirk of mine. But I must admit, your face is more ordinary than I expected. No offense thought.”

In that moment, exorcists started to surround the force field, attracted by the screams of pain of their leader. They all saw in horror the state the First Man was, completely speechless.

“Move on, move on!” yelled Lute, also arriving, to which her teammates didn’t hesitate to let her pass.

As soon as Lute saw the scene inside of the sphere, a chilling scream left her mouth.

“SIR!! ADAM!!”. She laid her hands at the shiny surface. “WHAT HAPPENED?!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO HIM, YOU MONSTERS?!!”

The white-haired angel turned to her fellow exorcists, with a deranged face.

“WHAT ARE YOU ALL DOING STANDING LIKE THAT!! WE NEED TO GET HIM OUTTA THERE!!”

The angel army startled at their lieutenant’s rabid demeanor but complied to her demand. They all launched at the force field, hitting it with their weapons.

Lute flew to the very top of it, and started punching it too, with her bare fists.

Nevertheless, they all had to retreat when Razzle and Dazzle, in their bigger from, arrived, carrying the hotel crew at their backs. Angel Dust kept shooting at them with his Tommy Gun, while Cherry was throwing explosives at them.

Husk flew around to also throw his explosive cards.

Inside the sphere, Charlie looked with concerned how her friends fought the exorcists, noticing Vaggie wasn’t around.

Where is she? Is she hurt?

“SOMEONE GO GET RID OF THOSE ANNOYING FLYING-THINGS!”

Lute’s screams bring Charlie back to the moment. She saw a bunch of angels going to attack her friends, following their superior’s command. The only one who remained behind was Lute herself, who kept trying to break her force field, punching the golden surface until her fists started bleeding.

“We better hurry up.” She heard Alastra said.

Charlie gulped.

Yeah, they had to finish things quickly, before the battle escalated more. Once they got rid of Adam, she and Alastra could go help their friends.

She saw her hostess kneeled to place her knife near Adam’s throat.

Charlie’s heart was pounding faster with each passing second.

Adam asked for this. He’s the one who insisted on targeting us. My hotel, my friends. Me.

“ADAM!!”

Lute’s desperate cry startled Charlie’s heart.

She looked up at the white-haired exorcist. And for a moment, she saw Vaggie. The same ferocious loyalty.

She then looked at Adam.

To Lute, Adam was what she was to Vaggie. To the exorcists, he was their leader. Just as she was to her friends. They followed him wherever he went, just as her friends chose to follow her.

Why do we have to do this?

.

.

.

We don’t.

“WAIT!”

Just when she was about slice the First Man’s throat, Alastra stopped at Charlie’s desperate call.

The princess, panting and with eyes wide open, took a moment to composed herself. Once her chest frantic pounding stopped, she gulped, and with a mix of determination and hesitation, spoke.

“I’m giving you one last chance... take your angels and leave my Realm.”  She pointed at Adam with her trident, then added. “Or we’ll have no choice but to kill you. And to kill them.” she pointed at Lute.

She hoped her frown and tone conveyed how resolute she was to end that nonsensical war, but Adam’s hateful expression didn’t flinch.

“Fuck you.” The man spited with hatred. “Fuck your pussy father, fuck your hotel, FUCK YOU ALL… AGH!”

Alastra smashed his face against the roof’s ground, making him choked in the blood that now soaked the place.

“Charlie, there’s no time for this. We need to finish this now, or else…”

The sinner looked above them, where Lute kept trying to punch her way inside the force field.

Charlie gulped, nervous, but insisted.

“Tell your army to leave, NOW.”

“F…ughk… you…” replied Adam, with his face still on the bloody ground.

Outside the shield, Lute was scratching the surface, until she felt a wrinkle. It was the small fracture Adam caused a few minutes before. Seeing the opportunity, she took a discarded sword another exorcist left behind and started to press it against the small hole.

Little by little, the crack started to grow.

Charlie felt her magic fading. Her powers were still awakening, so despite her training, it was difficult to keep her spells for too long. The fact she had endure this long was a miracle.

“I’m ordering you, surrender now.”

The only thing Adam responded with was a series of guttural grunts, since he was still pinned to the ground, with his face laying over his own blood. But she could tell he was cursing at her.

“Charlie, enough. We must do this now. There’s no other option.”

Alastra spoke with a very serious, even strict, tone. So unusual in her.

With desolated eyes, Charlie looked down at Adam. And pleaded.

“Just, leave… please…”

It happened too fast.

Suddenly, Adam incorporated. From the deepest, darkest corners of his soul, he collected the strength to stand, tearing off the ties in his limbs. This caused his wounds to bleed even more, but he felt no pain. He was possessed by a rage he hadn’t felt in year, in eons.

He pushed Alastra backwards, taking her knife away, and launched himself at Charlie, who was so taken aback that she couldn’t react on time.

Adam was inches from stabbing her chest with the knife…

…But Alastra got in the middle, receiving the stab in her own chest.

Charlie froze, unable to move, even though she wanted to. She could only see her friend’s blood dripping against the roof.

Unable to focus on her magic, she couldn’t fight back when Lute finally broke her force field. At the same moment her magic disintegrated before her astonished eyes, Alastra captured Adam’s arm, that was still pressing the knife inside her chest, and made her shadows surrounded them both.

Sinner and exorcist vanished before Charlie and Lute’s shocked eyes.

“AL!!”

“ADAM!!”

But the pair was gone, leaving only a trail of blood behind. Red and golden mixed in a grotesque pool of blood.

Charlie felt tears falling down her cheeks.

What did I do?

“WHAT DID YOU DO?!”

Charlie barely managed to avoided Lute, who tried to attack her with her sword. But this didn’t stop the exorcist, who was livid and continue swinging her weapon in her direction. Using her trident, she defected the attacks the best she could, but she could hardly keep up.

“You, stupid, demonic bastard!! How dare you doing this to HIM!!” Lute yelled at her. “Where did you take him?! Bring him back, NOW!!”

Charlie stumbled to the edge of the roof; her arms outstretched to block Lute's sword with her trident. But the exorcist was so much stronger, so she began to give in.

“Bring him back, you bitch! Or else I’m fucking ripping your head off!”

“I… don’t know… where he is…. Augh!”

Lute kicked her in the stomach, causing Charlie to tripped backwards.

She was falling. With nothing to hold on to. With no one to help her. Without being able to help herself.

Unable to find a way out, she thought of her friends.

Guys, I’m sorry. It’s all my fault.

Vaggie, I’m sorry.

Al.

Dad.

Mom.

She failed. She failed them all.

She closed her eyes, feeling tears emerge. Tears that, instead of sliding down her cheeks, fell upwards due to the fall, like small sparkles in the air.

Because she couldn’t even go down without crying. She was so pathetic.

Suddenly, her fall stopped. But she wasn’t on the hard ground. Instead, she felt a pair of delicate arms holding her tightly, in a warm, protecting hug.

Through her blurry vision, she distinguished a small, winged figure.

“D-da…d?”

“Charlie, babe. Are you ok? Please, answer me.”

The small silhouette holding the princess became clearer, revealing a face with a single eye, which look at her with concern.

“V-Vaggie?”

In fact, it had been the other fallen angel who had saved her. Her girlfriend was floating in the air, holding her. She was covered in blood and bruises, which surely made Charlie worried about her well-being. But the one detail that truly caught her eye was the new set of wings that were now attached to her girlfriend’s back.

“What does this mean, Vaggie?!” yelled Lute from above. “I cut your wings! How in hell did you grow them back?”

Vaggie stared at the other angel with a determined frown.

“I’m the Hotel’s guardian angel, as well as Charlie’s. Isn’t it obvious, Lute?”

The woman’s hateful expression grew, as well as her rage. She pointed her sword at them.

“I don’t fucking care if you’re a guardian or if your hoe is a princess. You better tell me where Adam is or else I’m gonna…”

Right then, a flash of golden light sprout, opening a portal in the middle of the roof.

The three women looked in shock how Adam’s large figure emerged from the other side. The man was panting and bleeding, still in very bad shape.

Vaggie and Charlie were speechless. Lute, in exchange, sighed with relief.

“Sir! You’re alive!” the woman exclaimed, running toward her leader.

“Yeah… did you doubt it?”

Despite the fatigue he was talking with, he was grinning with satisfaction, turning to look at Charlie and Vaggie.

“I was careless, I admit it, but there was no way I was gonna let myself be defeated by that reckless sinner.”

Then, to the couple’s horror, Adam threw something at them: a broken microphone.

Alastra’s microphone, split in half and drenched in blood.

“I’ll give you this, princess, you did right in sent her to me. That tough bitch earned my respect, it’s being a while since beating the shit out of someone felt that good.”

The scream of pain that escaped Charlie's mouth cut through the rest of the noise, drawing everyone's attention to them.

“For my fault, Al… she is… “

Adam gave one trembling step toward Vaggie and Charlie, to which the fallen angel wrapped her wings around her princess to protect her.

“Uh? What a glow up, Vaggie. But those wings don’t suit you anymore, so I gotta take them back.” Adam laughed, glancing her.

“Sir, I can take care of them, you’re still hurt.” Complained Lute, trying to stop him.

“Shut up, Lute. I haven’t felt this alive in a millennium. Since before you were even created.”

Husk, up in the air, saw his boss’s broken mic. With a shiver running down his back, he shouted to the others.

“Damn it, we’re in problems!”

Angel and Cherry, who had been doing their best to contain the rest of the angels, looked with shock at the return of Adam. Meanwhile, Sir Pentious was at one of the hotel’s balconies, when he heard his friends shouting at each other about what to do, at the same time they expressed they concern about Alastra’s whereabouts.

He turned to look at his Airship.

Right.

Charlie, completely devasted, was hiding her face in her palms. Vaggie was frantically thinking all their options.

If they didn’t stop Adam right then, everything would be lost. Her friends. Their hotel. Charlie’s dream, and Charlie herself.

Then, by the corner of her eye, she noticed Pen’s Airship emerging from behind the Hotel.

Right! They were saving it for when Alastra took care of Adam, so they could focus on taking down the other angels without having to worry about their leader. But now, things had changed.

So, she decided to buy some time.

“Where’s Alastra? What did you do to her?”

Adam’s smile grimaced at the mention of the sinner.

“Oh, don’t worry! She’s still alive, at least for now. But even if she survives, I doubt she'll ever be the same again.”

“How… how dare you?

Vaggie turned to look at Charlie, who stopped hiding her face in her hands, revealing that her eyes were glowing with an angry scarlet shade.

“OH! What’s this? Is little princess angry?”

As Adam laughed, Charlie’s hair started flaming, as she felt her anger growing.

In the meantime, Sir Pentious, inside his Airship, was commanding the Egg Boiz to prepare their most powerful weapon.

“Eggs, activate thrusters, and charge the death ray.”

The little things did as instruct, whilst the airship flew forward, toward Adam’s direction. It didn’t take long for the others to noticed that.

“That crazy motherfucker.”

Hearing Angel Dust’s words, Cherry looked up too, failing to hide the concern in her eye.

The airship pointed its weaponry to Adam, a bright ray charging up. The Fist Man wasn’t looking. That was their chance!

“Target in range.” Spoke one of the Egg Boiz.

With a determined face, the serpent spoke.

“Fire.”

Just when the deadly ray was about to be shot at him, Adam turned. With a mere snap of the fingers, he sent a giant blast of Holy Light toward the airship. The aircraft was incinerated. With everyone inside it.

“NO!” cried Charlie, and Cherry, at the same time.

Adam collapsed in the roof ground, barely standing on his knees. Yet, his wide grin remained, while Lute, very worried, kneeled beside him.

“Sir, I told you. You need to recover. Please stop using your powers.”

“And I told you… I haven’t felt this alive in ages…”

The First Man glanced to where Charlie and Vaggie were, and took a step towards them, not without great effort.

“Thank you, princess... This’s been… by far… the best extermination ever…”

Before Adam could attack the pair, a dark portal opened below his feet, from where shadow limbs trapped him, and started pulling him inside. The man growled with anger, while Lute screamed with worry.

“Adam!”

Despite the man’s struggle, the shadows engulfed him until half his body was trapped

“Why the fuck won’t you give up? You. Stupid. Woman.

As if he had conjured her, the maltreated figure of Alastra emerged. Her face was a mess of bruises and scratches. One of her eyes was black, and her hair was covered in dirt and what was likely to be her own blood. The fact that they could distinguished it despite her hair being already a bright crimson spoke of how much she had been bleeding.

The sinner crawled Adam’s wide back to grabbed him by the shoulders. It almost looked like she was hugging him.

“Leave. Them. ALONE.”

And with those words, distorted by radio static, Alastra took Adam away for the second time.

“ADAM!”

Lute’s attempt at saving her leader was interrupted by Vaggie, who flew toward her, pushing her backwards. They hit the ground, with Vaggie on top, and by the moment Lute glanced back, Adam was gone again.

🦋📺🎀🦋📺🎀🦋📺🎀

“Ho-lly shit”

The Vees stared in shock at the screen.

“Wow… that Alora is a though bitch.” Mumbled Velvette.

“Yeah, gotta admit that.” Valentina agreed, with a naughty grin. “It was kinda hot how she dominated that Adam guy. I should make a porn outta that.”

Vox was staring at the screen, in silence. Thinking.

He was so ready to see Alastra being wiped out of existence. But then, when he saw her, when he saw her face, her eyes, he knew it.

She was out there to hunt. And he remembered.

He remembered when it was just the two of them, together against Hell. He had witnessed firsthand how audacious and clever she could be. And when she immobilized the First Man, he had actually… felt relief.

Because he wanted to see her again. He didn’t want her to die.

Because if she died, he would never have her again.

And he could never make her pay, with his own hands, for leaving in the first place. For leaving him.

“Anyway… don’t think she comin’ back from this.” Said Velvette then, to which Val laughed.

“I’m surprised she went back to save princesita Chandler. I really thought she'd escape. After all, that's her specialty, right, Voxy?”

“SHIT!”

With that annoyed yell, Vox stood up from his sit and turned into electricity to teleport to his control room. There, he scanned his cameras, eagerly looking for any trace of the sinner. He caught something, near the city’s borders, on the opposite side of the entertainment district.

Flashes of light, like lightning, coming from the distance.

Once again, the TV Demon turned into lighting to teleport out of the room, but this time, he started traveling throughout the city electric wiring.

He went as far as he could, arriving at one desolated area. Outside the city, it was basically a wasteland. Those zones were where sinners went when they couldn't afford housing. Or when they hadn’t made a deal with an Overlord for protection. However, that didn’t mean Overlords didn’t scavenge that area looking for new deal prospects.

It was usually the first place the exorcists attacked. But at that moment, he couldn’t see any trace of any demon in the vicinity, sinner or helborn. Which didn’t surprise him, given the sparkles of Holy light that were coming from there moments ago. It had to have been Adam, using his powers.

He knew there was a possibility Alastra was already dead. But he needed to be sure.

There weren’t many devices he could teleport through in that area, so he had to be especially cautious while he moved around. Luckily, he always had drones circling the city.

He called one of them with his watch and sent it to scan the place. But he still had to be careful not to draw attention to himself, in case Adam was around, hungry for more sinner blood.

The fact he was risking himself like that, just because of that foolish woman.

Decades making a reputation, you better don’t get me killed by this Al.

He noticed traces of what looked like ashes on the ground. Adam had been there, using his Holly Light.

He advanced a bit more, finding more ashes. And blood. Both golden and scarlet blood.

With a chill running down his spine, he followed the trace, looking around for any sign of either Alastra or Adam. The amount of blood on the ground was concerning, but it was more concerning not seeing any body.

That’s when he noticed something.

There weren’t just blood and ashes around. There was something else.

Roots. They were everywhere. Sprouting from the ground, there were a bunch of roots all over the place. Which was weird; beyond a few small herbs, no flora grew there.

He walked closer to touch one of those plants, when he noticed something holding from one of them. Something small and shiny.

A halo.

Adam’s halo.

He took it, little drops of blood dripping from it. He looked around.

Where is Adam? Where are you, Al?

An alarm beeped in his head. Like literally, his head vibrated whilst a message was displayed in his screen. Target identified.

His drone found her.

⭐💘❌⭐💘❌⭐💘❌

“NOOO!”

Pushing Vaggie, Lute crawled to the spot her leader was a moment ago. Charlie, on the other hand, ran toward Vaggie to check on her.

“Vaggie, are you ok? You’re all cover in bruises.”

“I’m fine, hon… I’m more worried about Alastra.”

Charlie’s chest contracted at the mention of their friend. Even though it was quick, she got a good glimpse of the sinner. And she looked so bad.

They needed to save her, before Adam did to her what he did to Pen.

“You’re worried about WHO?! About that scumbag?!”

Lute was back at her feet, clenching her fists with so much force her knuckles were hurting. But that didn’t matter to her.

“That damn woman. I’m finding her, and I’m killing her myself.” She looked at the couple in front of her. “But first, I’m taking care of you two.”

After saying this, she picked up her sword and rushed at them. She jumped high, ready to attack.

Vaggie stood before Charlie, prepared to take the attack on her princess’s behalf, but then… Lute froze. She didn’t stop running, or anything like that. She literally froze in midair, her sword inches from reaching Vaggie.

“Okay, enough is enough.”

Both Charlie and Vaggie, as well as Lute, directed their eyes to the direction of that voice. A voice full of fatigue, that fill the princess heart with relief.

“DAD!”

Charlie ran to the direction where her dad was flying, a few meters behind. The seraphim descended, giving her a tired yet tender smile.

“I’m sorry for been late.”

Vaggie, just as relieved, but also confused, alternated between looking at her girlfriend’s dad and the frozen Lute. Who, through her gritted teeth and her static mouth, managed to growl some barely audible words.

“Whag the fugk igs Gucifeg doing ghere?”

“Getting rid of you, that’s what I’m doing.”

🦌⚜️📻🦌⚜️📻🦌⚜️📻

Alastra’s old hideaway wasn’t anything special. It was nothing more than a hole in the ground, covered by rocks and grass. It was at plain sight, on the outskirts of the city, yet nobody ever found it.

She made sure of that by building a shack nearby, so it would function as a bait. Other sinners often use it to try to hide, but just end up calling the exorcist’s attention to themselves, whilst taking it from her little cave.

It had been years since she went there, but there were still some supplies such as water and an emergency kit. Which was a good considering how wasted she was when she arrived.

She couldn’t believe she was still alive.

Laying on a mattress on the floor, she was cleaning the blood from her wounds. Most of them were already healing, but she still felt a lot of pain all over her body. On the small mirror her shadow was holding beside her, she checked the bruises on her face.

She hoped her fangs would grow back. It’s not like Adam used his guitar to break them. Moistening her handkerchief in water, she wiped her face and neck. She lowered the fabric, reaching her chest.

Her blouse was unbuttoned, so a part of her breasts and abdomen were visible. She looked down at the wound Adam made her there. It looked bad. It was the only injury that hadn’t stopped bleeding.

She was going to need something more that ointment and bandages to deal with that.

Not to mention the fact she broke her deal with Lucifer. She knew it after Adam stabbed her and she took him with her, because she felt the bonding spell breaking. Which meant Charlie did get hurt by another exorcist.

So, now she had to think how she was going to deal with Lucifer’s rage for not preventing that.

And now she didn’t even have her Microphone.

She closed her eyes, while her shadow gave her a concerned look.

In moments like that, she almost missed Vox.

“Al.”

Startled, Alastra opened her eyes, glancing around. It didn’t take her long to find the owner of that voice, standing a couple meters from her. His tall, slim, yet elegant silhouette under the gleam coming from the opened entrance above.

“Vox.”

⭐🐍 🍏⭐🐍 🍏⭐🐍 🍏

The total amount of loses for the exorcist army was approximately a sixth of their forces. In exchange, the Hazbin Hotel had lost a third of theirs, counting the fallen cannibals as well as Sir Pentious. In addition, they also lost Dazzle, one of Charlie’s bodyguards, who perished after being attack by numerous exorcists at once, while carrying Angel and Cherri during the battle.

While Charlie and her friends recovered from their wounds, Lucifer kicked out all the exorcists from his Realm. He put on his most frightening demonic form to growl at the angelic army, while pointing at the portal in the sky.

“GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE!!!”

Adam’s exorcists trembled at the sight of the Devil himself, being so unused to face such a powerful demonic force. Lucifer, pleased to see them like that, changed to a more casual, even playful demeanor.

“Please and thank you 🎶”

“We won’t go anywhere without Adam! If we must fight the whole of Hell to find him, we’ll do it, you have no idea who you’re messing with… HEY, WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU GOING!!”

Lute yelled with indignance at the sight of her comrades obeying Lucifer’s command. They were practically pushing each other to abandon Hell as soon as Lucifer’s dominating voice ordered them to do.

Meanwhile, she was tied up with magical chains that Lucifer put on her. Despite this, the woman wouldn’t stop yelling, kicking and overall being a pain in the neck.

“You call yourselves exorcists?! Are you just gonna abandon Adam like this, after everything he’s done for us?! GET BACK HERE!!”

One of the other exorcists approached her, worry written in her mask, to whisper in her ear.

“Lute, just shut the fuck up. We cannot disobey Lucifer. We’ll ask Sera for help and come back for Adam later.”

“Speaking of Sera…”

The pair of exorcists turned to look at the King of Hell, who was flying right above them, looking both menacing and magnificent, with his large flaming wings, his crimson eyes and even his sharp horns.

While her teammate shivered with panic, Lute’s resolute face didn’t flinch.

“I got something for you to give her.”

Lucifer threw something at Lute’s lap: a rubber duck. A very cute rubber duck, with something typed on the side.

The treaty is over. 😠

Worst wishes, Luci 😝

“Our treaty with Heaven is over. Good luck explaining that to Sera, since is YOUR FAULT.”

Lute glared at him like he just stripped for her and ask for a kiss in his butt.

“WHAT? MY FAULT?”

Lucifer snapped his fingers, making Lute floated. And with a soft motion of his hand, he sent the mad woman toward the portal, while she kept struggling and cursing. The other exorcists followed soon after, and in the blink of an eye, they were all gone.

The King of Hell sighed, exhausted, massaging his temples. He already took care of the annoying part, which was getting rid of that pest; now came the difficult one: to console Charlie.

And finding Alastra.

Notes:

I hope this chapter wasn't a downfall for you, I know you enjoyed Badass Alastra in the last chapter. But I have Adam in enough high regard to know he cannot be taken down so easily. But Allie prevailed in the end <3

Please feel free to share your thoughts with me in a comment <3
