   Summary

   Sergeants Haji Khan and Darius Omar are assigned to a welfare check following an off-putting phone call from the home of Laura Blomqvist. The result is not what they expected, leaving with the woman's frightened son, and coroners on the way.

   Nearly 20 years later, Erik Blomqvist is fortunate enough to have a secure job at Garnier Recording House. Just not fortunate enough to avoid the newest employees. Among them are an annoyingly optimistic young man named Raoul de Chagny, and his sickeningly nice ex-wife Christine Daaé. What's worse, there's also a new set of managers.
