Chapter Text
Lila wasted no time making herself at home in Mystic Falls, charming and terrorizing its inhabitants with equal fervor. Her favorite target, however, remained Elena Gilbert. It wasn’t enough for Lila to simply be stronger; she needed to show Elena that this world belonged to her now.
One afternoon, she strolled into the Salvatore house like she owned it. Stefan and Damon were arguing in the living room about how to deal with her, oblivious to her presence until she cleared her throat.
"Oh, don’t stop on my account," Lila drawled, leaning against the doorframe. Her presence immediately set Damon on edge, but she didn’t care. "I’ve been meaning to have a little…heart-to-heart with both of you."
Damon crossed his arms, his eyes narrowing. "And what makes you think we’ll listen? you little Bella Swan reject"
Lila grinned, showing off her sparkling, razor-sharp teeth. "I thought you’d appreciate a real vampire’s perspective. Tell me, why do you let that human girl dictate everything you do? Protecting her, sacrificing for her…" She rolled her eyes dramatically. "It’s embarrassing, really."
Stefan’s jaw clenched. "You have no idea what you’re talking about."
"Oh, but I do," Lila countered, her voice dripping with mock sympathy. "In my world, vampires don’t play lapdogs for humans. We’re kings and queens, faster, stronger…better. I could take down any hunter, any witch. Even the Originals would have a hard time keeping up with me." She looked pointedly at Damon. "Maybe even a certain bad boy vampire."
Damon smirked, though his eyes held a hint of unease. "You talk big, Sparkles. But in Mystic Falls, you’re out of your league."
"Am I?" In a flash, she crossed the room, sending Damon sprawling onto the floor with a mere shove. "You all think so small here," she said, looking down at him. "Tied to this town, to your human girl. It’s laughable."
The door swung open, and Elena rushed in, her eyes widening at the sight of Damon on the floor. "What did you do to him?"
Lila turned, flashing a smug smile. "Relax, Elena. He’s fine. Just a little reminder of who’s in charge now." She examined her sparkly hands, smirking at Elena’s expression of pure confusion and annoyance. "I’m here to help, really. If you could just learn to let go of these sad, outdated loyalties, you might actually enjoy yourself."
But Elena wasn’t having it. “You think you’re better than us because you…sparkle? Being a vampire isn’t just about strength. It’s about loyalty, family.”
Lila laughed. "Oh, Elena. That’s adorable, really. You sound like Bella." She leaned in, her smile fading. "Except Bella actually knew what she wanted."
The air in the room turned tense, and Lila watched as Elena’s face flushed with anger. Behind her, Damon and Stefan were regrouping, their eyes flicking toward each other as they shared a silent agreement.
But just as they were about to rush her, Lila darted out, laughing as she disappeared into the woods.

Over the following days, Lila continued to flaunt her superiority, sparking chaos at every turn. She turned up at Mystic Grill, openly taunting Caroline about her “inferior vampire genes,” which nearly resulted in a brawl. She strolled through the school hallways, occasionally showing her sparkling skin to anyone who dared look her way.
Even Klaus found himself challenged by her. He attempted to charm her, intrigued by her unpredictability, but Lila was unimpressed. “Original or not, you’re just another vampire. I was made to be better,” she’d say, leaving Klaus somewhere between insulted and strangely amused.
But soon, her chaos came at a price. Mystic Falls had dealt with its fair share of supernatural threats, but a Twilight vampire with no respect for the balance of power was a problem. The town’s residents, witches, and even a few vampires decided that Lila had to go.
In one final showdown at the Mystic Falls cemetery, Elena and her friends confronted Lila, their resolve strengthened by everything she had disrupted. Bonnie was ready with a spell, Stefan and Damon flanked Lila, and even Caroline stood beside Elena, her jaw set with determination.
Lila rolled her eyes. "Oh, please, this is what you think will stop me? I’m immortal, indestructible, i could take on a tank like it's a pesky mosquito."
But as Bonnie began chanting, the ground beneath Lila’s feet shifted. For the first time since her arrival, she felt a flicker of fear.
“You don’t belong here, Lila,” Elena said, her voice calm but resolute. “You’ve hurt people—used your power to bully and mock us. This isn’t your world.”
Lila snarled, lunging toward Elena, but Bonnie’s magic intensified, and a portal opened behind Lila, pulling at her. She fought against it, her strength faltering as Bonnie’s spell forced her back toward the world she’d come from.
With a final scream of frustration, Lila disappeared into the portal, the sparkle fading from the cemetery as the rift sealed.
In the silence that followed, Elena and the others exchanged looks, a weight lifted. Mystic Falls was safe once more, though they’d all be left with a memory of the glittering chaos that had shaken their town.
For now, peace had returned—until the next supernatural threat arrived.
