“Marinette, there is a meeting at the watch tower tonight. Would you like to join?” Damian asked, leaning against the bathroom doorway as Marinette washed her face.
“Do you think I should?” She asked.
“I see no reason you shouldn’t. You are officially in the system as a JL member now.” He answered, passing her the towel to dry her face.
“What will the meeting be about?”
“This is just a monthly meeting about everyone’s territories and anything others should be on the lookout for. It’s more so used as a social gathering.”
“If you’re sure then yes, I would love to join.” She said with a smile.
“Excellent, I’ll go get ready. Where do you keep your suit? I’ll grab it for you.” Damian offered.
“Ah, it’s in the wooden jewelry box in the safe. The earrings.” She explained. “Oh, here. Take the ring and put it in there. I can’t wear both.”
Damian took the ring, nodding to Plagg as he followed him to the safe.
“Y’know, I don’t get it. Why don’t you just wear the ring and pigtails and wear the earrings?” Plagg complained.
“Marinette is the guardian, it is not my place to question her.” Damian stated.
“Okay but consider, you two are about to get married. You’re partners. I doubt she would mind. Honestly she probably just hasn’t thought about it.” Plagg argued.
“Then you ask her, I need to introduce myself to Tikki.” Damian announced, scooting Marinette’s bed over and lifting the floorboards so he could get to her safe.
“Tiks already knows who you are.” Plagg complained.
“I have yet to introduce myself officially, it’s impolite not to.”
“Ugghhhhhh.”
“Are you going to complain or are you going to ask if you can come with us to the tower?” Damian asked.
“Gimme my ring.” Plagg pouted, taking the ring from Damian’s hand and flying back to Marinette.
Damian pulled out the box, setting it on his lap as he carefully opened the lid.
He still wasn’t quiet sure how it all worked, but he didn’t want to accidentally jostle the Kwamii in it.
He picked up the earrings, squinting against the bright light that spawned from them.
“Hi!” Tikki greeted happily. “I’m so happy to officially meet you! I’m Tikki!”
Damian nodded at her in greeting.
“The pleasure is mine, I am Damian. Marinette asked me to retrieve you, she has recently joined the Justice League and we have a meeting today.” Damian explained.
“Oh okay! Will you be wearing Plagg’s ring?” She asked curiously.
“He went to ask Marinette if I could, shall we join them?” He asked.
Tikki nodded, floating alongside Damian as they went back to Marinette.
“Do not touch anything when we get there. The watchtower is in space, I can’t risk you breaking anything.” Marinette was lecturing Plagg, who was nodding in agreement.
“Mari!” Tikki squealed, rushing forward to greet her holder.
“Tikki!” Marinette greeted, equally excited.
“Oh it feels like it’s been forever since I last saw you!” Tikki cried.
“It’s been three days, Sugar Cube.”
“Hush you Stinky Sock!”
