Chapter Text
The Carni looked at the giant explosion that tore the milk bottles apart, before starting to run.
Elphelt grabbed her microphone from her dress, making it shift into a gun and slamming it barrel first into Bedman's cannon arm!
"D-don't hurt him!" Delilah screams as she falls back, falling onto her butt.
"I'll roughhouse only!" Elphelt yells as she body checks Bedman, making him tumble back as he flies into the air. She swore she vaguely heard the word "threat" through the bed's now constant electronic gibberish. Elphelt looked up at Bedman, and Bedman… looked past her at the Carni, once again raising his cannon. Elphelt reaches under her jacket, pulling out a full bandolier of bombs and chucking them through the air! It didn't get close to Bedman but the explosions created a thick smoke cloud.
"V-v-v-visual…" Bedman stuttered out as he lost the Carni.
Romeo tried to keep himself from firing, maybe this time he would be stopped for good but… he couldn't leave Delilah alone. He felt his body start to float towards the Carni, all systems asking him to fire over someone who made a mistake.
Elphelt jumped up from the smoke, and proceeded to tackle Bedman mid-air! She rammed headfirst into the insanely plush bed, admiring the softness for a moment as she tried to think of a way to stop an entire robotic murderous bedframe… without hurting it too much. The two currently floated in the air together, Bedman trying to squirm Elphelt off.
The thing wasn't close to matching the original power of Bedman, Elphelt could take it down with some luck and skill, but she needed to avoid making Delilah sad. She hopped up from the bed, she flips in midair before she used her flight to rocket herself into him, she slams into him and takes him down to the ground at least!
"THAT'S TOO MUCH-- STOP!" Delilah screamed her poor little lungs out, she scrambled towards the two, her heart pounded so hard she thought her serous pericardium was going to rip apart! Or maybe her aortic valves would stop working and she'd DIE! Or… or maybe her atrioventricular node would repeatedly forget to delay the signal during action potential and then… and then…
She took a deep breath as she kept running, trying to stop thinking about all the bad things she knew could happen because they were completely and utterly improbable, and instead focus on what's ahead.
"What else can I do…" Elphelt mumbled to herself as she jumped off Bedman, she looked to see the Carni was pretty far away at this point, but with his ability to fly he'd still be able to track him. It was hard to stop a robot without destroying it, it was made to do a thing, so why wouldn't it? Then again Elphelt was made to do something and she rebelled. Elphelt knew that bed was very very strong though… so she could beat it up some, just enough to weaken it.
With that in mind she formed her microphone into two pistols, one in each hand.
“Sorry, but I know you can handle this!” She yells as she starts to fire! BAMBAMBAMBAMBAMBAM!
Romeo fought with himself, he didn't want to destroy and kill when the slightest thing set off his programming, but what was he to do? He was made this way, forced into a form that's only mode of protection was murder. It was odd seeing the bullets fly towards him, he didn't quite want to stop them as his body moved out of the way and onto Elphelt.
"D-Don't hurt her!" Delilah yelled as Elphelt was grabbed by her head into the air, being raised up for a second before she was SLAMMED down. Bedman made his wheels go full speed, dragging Elphelt through the dirt before launching her away! "She's our FRIEND!" Delilah yells as she runs after the dangerous bed, she was barely able to walk straight, tripping, falling, and only barely catching herself as she ran and ran.
Elphelt flipped through the air, getting the same feeling she got from going on those teacup amusement rides! She saw the Carni as she spun through the air, who was pretty close to the exit gates at this point, sadly the exit gates were still a clear shot from where Bedman was. She was flung into a circus tent, which she collided with feet first, the tent absorbing the impact before LAUNCHING her back towards the fight.
All of Romeo's love for his sister laser focused and combined with his obnoxious programming, his cannon arm aimed one last time at the Carni who'd almost escaped. As his arm charged up Elphelt came flying back, and before either could fire Delilah stood between them, holding her arms out.
"S-STOP! BOTH OF YOU PLEASE!" Tears were running down her face, her whole body was shaking, and while she was sure neither would hurt her she was still terrified. "P-please…" Her eyes were shut in anticipation, as she felt a pair of metallic arms grip around her. Soon a pair of human, or rather gear arms wrapped around her just as well. "T-thank you."
Elphelt softly cried with Delilah as she had her arms wrapped around her, Bedman faultily mimicking crying with some incoherent sparks. "I'm sorry." She said to both of them, or maybe just herself. She was sorry for what had to happen to Bedman, she was sorry for what happened to Delilah, she was sorry that everything went this way. "Should we go home…?"
Romeo watched Delilah nod along, Elphelt taking her into her arms. A single one of his hands extending out, Elphelt dropped her into his grasp. His fingers close around her, a thumb rubbing against her back before she's placed onto his shoulder and locked in with a belt that popped out of the frame. Delilah tilted into his head, holding onto the large steel orb. He heard her whisper "Thank you."
The three start to fly off, Elphelt yelling down. "I'll send an invoice! Please don't hate us! Sorry!" Elphelt said as she waved at them, her Bedman and Delilah going back to Anji's house to hopefully relax.
