Chapter One

When Warm Arms Welcome You to Safety, You Accept With Caution.

Grian has a lot of trauma, that's obvious, so when Xisuma finds out he's a watcher, he's screwed. Through opening up trauma, finally revealing his age, and finding out his powers, Xisuma gains a son, and Grian gets the help he needs.

Mumbo and Scar are having fun, adventuring with Grian, when several things set the pesky bird into a panic attack. Through comforting their birdy, finding out trauma, Xisuma showing up, and more, the trios bond grows stronger.

During a fun building session, Keralis spots a white rabbit. Grian, who was already having a bad day, broke on the spot, spilling his high school experience with his father figure.

Blood Runs Thicker Than Water, But Both Feel The Same When Your Eyes Are Closed.

After a peaceful movie night, Xisuma and Keralis notice Grian's injuries, he's brought to Cub, to whom the birdy explains how he got his scars and injuries. Which leads to the vex hybrid swearing he'll protect the parrot with his life, and the latter swearing he'll be more honest.

One afternoon, Grian is annoying Doc, when Doc tries his new invention. It explodes, on purpose, but Grian's ears bleed, causing Grian to explain yelling and homelife. Doc comforts him,and the bond grows.
