It wouldn’t be her home if it wasn’t. And besides, it had enough oddities that her being trans shouldn’t be something to bat an eye at. Doc regularly broke the rules of logic and space, Grian was some monstrosity with too many eyes and too many feathers, Hypno was a god of time, Mumbo Jumbo was apparently a goth icon-the list went on and on. Gem being born a boy seemed pale in comparison. Trivial, even.
At least, that’s what she told herself.

The world shifted black as the portal swallowed him up and away from others. It was cold and dark leaving nothing but the void around him and the hum of magic.
The only thing Grian could make out was the dull ache and his body from exhaustion, and the broken wing hanging limply by his side.

Summary
Jimmy is no stranger to the life games, he's been in a few of them. He's lost all of them. The other's call it the canary curse, Jimmy just wants to make it to the finale.
Limited life ends different. Jimmy wakes up on Empires with all his memories from limited life, but he doesn't completely feel like he won. Something feels wrong, and what the watchers told him when he was sitting alone out on the grassy field haunts him. His win brings with dreams, dreams that makes him wonder if they're just dreams or memories.
Meanwhile the others wake up on hermitcraft, everyone but one. Something is wrong with Tango. And nobody remembers what went on in the game except Jimmy. Now the other's must work against time to find out what went wrong. Jimmy on the other hand struggles with what it means to be a winner, while also not being one at all.

“With you staring at me like a paralysis demon?”
Doc immediately flops down to his bed and pulls his blanket all over himself, making Ren laugh. It’s quiet, and it doesn’t take long for Ren to fall asleep. Then, he starts to glow. Doc, who notices the sudden burst of golden light through his blanket, sits up in a rush and waits with a huge smile. The glowy silhouette surrounding Ren’s body lifts away from him, the shape twisting forms until it gently glides back down and solidifies, a big caramel wolf now standing directly on top of Ren. He blinks his blue eyes open and faces the human beneath him, before turning to his friend, ears perking up. -

“...For a,” The Watcher hunched into itself and checked over its shoulder. Which was completely unnecessary, considering Watchers can always see in all directions, “...Player.”
The last word was whispered so quietly that Xander had to strain to hear it, and even then he questioned if he’d heard it right.
“You’re a Player?” Xander asked incredulously, part insulted that it would try to fool him and part horrified that that was a possibility in the first place.
