One Year Later
After they defeated Lex, Lillian, and a number of villains who came around after, life got better for Lena, Kara, and all they knew and loved.
The sweet super graduated from university with a journalism job lined up, moved to Italy to be with Lena full-time, and learned she was pregnant with the twins two months after moving.
The good witch-queen settled a handsome lawsuit with Rome on how much her statue self had earned, became an author and documentary filmmaker, helped Kara decorate the twins’ nursery, started university, and went to therapy to address a thousand years’ worth of struggles.
Maggie and Alex finally got together officially, visited Kara and Lena whenever they could, helped them prepare for the twins’ arrival, and moved in together as the year came to a close.
Sam and Ruby visited everyone and not only got closer with them, but developed circles outside the Disciples for the Memory of Lena and Cora.
Mama Walsh decided to use her magic to resurrect her late husband and serve in government again, this time as Head of Archives in Rome’s library system. Then, became everyone’s favorite mother, grandmother, e-book voiceover, and part-time apothecary owner.
By the end of the year, the sweet Luthor-Danvers babies – Kyra and Lyra – made their adorable, dimpled way into the world, becoming somewhat akin to royal babies in Rome because they were so cute and their moms and grandmother had become local legends.
Through and through it all, though, everyone stuck together to figure out not just the remaining mysteries of their past lives, but multiple mysteries which came their ways.
Where Kara and Lena should get married.
Crimes ranging from historic artifact thefts, forgeries, and underground collusions to how the twins were so damn cute.
Hauntings and missing loved ones in different countries and worlds.
The stories behind treasures found in places they vacationed to.
And, whatever was on the menu for game and movie nights.
Because that’s what life is all about, right?
Asking good questions and finding comparable or better answers.
