evelyn hesitated, her purple eyes meeting astra’s red eyes in the reflection, "not particularly," she admitted, though her voice lacked its usual sharpness.
astra chuckled softly. "I thought as much,” she paused, her expression softening, "um, y-you meant it last week, didn't you? when you said you were okay with trying something new?"
evelyn glanced at astra, her gaze unwavering despite the faint flicker of uncertainty in her chest. after a moment's thought, she nodded, “I meant it."
astra let out a breath she hadn't realized she'd been holding, a smile breaking through the faint tension in her features. "good," she said softly, stepping closer to take evelyn’s hand. her touch was gentle but firm, her thumb brushing lightly against evelyn’s fingers. "if you don't like it, if you feel uncomfortable at any point, just tell me, okay? we’ll stop immediately. I promise."
