Chapter Text
Meanwhile, elsewhere in the city, in a rather shabby-looking room that doesn't seem completely tidy nor completely messy either, with furniture that've seen much better days, two anti-heroines from another world, another Earth, sat alone closely. One was a lightly older dark-skinned woman with pure-white dreadlocks, wearing a crop-top, long leather jacket, gloves, domino mask, shorts, and boots of the same pure-white as well. Her true name and identity remained unknown, but those who knew her would know her as 'White Cat'. The other was a slightly younger pale-skinned woman with long pure-black straight hair wearing similar garb but in the same pure-black instead as well. Like White Cat, no one knew her real name, but would instead know her as simply 'Black Kitten'.
"You still think this has been a safe idea?" Black Kitten questioned.
"What has?" White Cat asked back.
"Coming here, to this..." Black Kitten paused, holding White Cat's hands. "...Other Earth, this whole other universe. I mean, I too am surprised by the actual existence of such, but how different is it really?"
"Only that what we knew as the bad guys from our world are the good guys in this world", White Cat answered. "And what we knew as the good guys from our world are the bad guys in this world".
"And which are we?" Black Kitten asked.
White Cat sighed, letting go of Black Kitten's hands and and running her own fingers along Black Kitten's thighs and up her body. "Look, I broke away from that Syndicate even before I met you..." She stroked Black Kitten's smooth cheek with care and passion. "...Before I fell in love with you".
Closing her soft eyes, Black Kitten laid her head upon White Cat's hand, the hint of a smile showing from her lips. She remember how much of a dark and almost bleak world the one she and White Cat originated from could be, especially when the number of super-villains seemed to outweigh the number of super-heroes greatly, immensely, massively and significantly. But when White Cat quitted the Crime Society and reformed herself, the two vigilantes found comfort within each other, a sense of hope and possibly something deeper, something more. From there on, there was never one night in which they never fought a single crime, and definitely never one night when they didn't make love to one another as a reward.
"You promise you'll always be there with me", Black Kitten spoke, her face ever so close to White Cat's as their foreheads touched.
"Always", White Cat swore and promised. "Just as you're always there with me".
The two shared a warm sincere smile before closing their eyes and cupping their hands around each other, and then they brought their lips together. Smooth, moist, and tasting of mint-flavoured chapstick, White Cat and Black Kitten didn't dare break away from their kiss, even when trading hot breaths and caressing tongues inside each other's mouths. Nothing and nobody would ever be able to take them apart.
