Chapter Text
It was 23:27 when Bloodmoon and Venti arrived at the city of Mondstadt. Venti walked up to one of the people guarding the gates to the city. After a brief conversation, he allowed the two through. Venti gestured with his hand for Bloodmoon to follow then began walking into the city. They looked around a bit, curious about the old-looking city. It had a blacksmith on the left to the gate and a flower stand to the front right. There was a small building to the left up a small cobble staircase labelled the ‘Adventures Guild’ with a brown haired woman in a white and green dress standing at what appeared to be the desk. Looking up, the animatronic could see a huge statue of a boy with two braids at the front of his hair and two large wings and mostly wrapped in some sort of cloth with a hood covering his head. The statue resembled Venti in a way, but it could’ve been a coincidence.
Bloodmoon continued to follow Venti through Mondstadt’s cobblestone streets, the former looking around in curiosity while the latter talking about the history of the city. Apparently many years ago an ancient civilisation on an area called the Windwail Highland created the Cecilia Garden - a place where Cecilia flowers were grown in greenhouses. A different civilisation on Starsnatch Cliff built the Sommernatchtgarten but the civilisation fell and it was buried and became Midsummer Courtyard. At some point a god called Boreas - or King of North Wind - gained his powers from an ancient god and ascended to godhood. Some time later, a tyrant named Decarabian made Mondstadt in a circular formation around his tower with soldiers guarding the entrance at an area called Brightcrown Canyon - even though his territory supposedly went as far as between a place called the Dawn Winery and a place called the Stone Gate. But that Boreas god filled Mondstadt with blizzards and made it inhabitable, so Decarabian created a storm wall around the city to protect it. Sometime 2600 years ago Boreas declared war on Decarabian (probably because of an event called the Archon War, but, according to Venti, that was a completely different kettle of fish) but that ended in a statement. During that time, the people saw Decarabian’s rule as a tyranny and they planned a resistance - it being code-named ‘Windblume’. In the same time, the rebellion rose up, led by a nameless bard and a wind spirit., the Tyrant’s ex lover and the ‘Gunnhildr Clan’ also partook in the battle. The nameless bard, some guy called Amos and Decarabian are killed in battle and the wind spirit - also known as Barbatos - ascended to godhood and created a vessel in the nameless bard. He led the people out of the old Mondstadt to Cider Lake - where they made current day Mondstadt on the island.
And Bloodmoon zoned out after that, only zoning back in when they almost ran into Venti because the bard had stopped walking. They grumbled and looked past him to see a large gothic-styled building behind a windmill. It’s roof tiles were a darkish green shade and it had at least eleven windows, all large and slightly semicircular. t had two large double doors that led inside, protected from the elements by a large stone arch.
“What is this place?” Bloodmoon asked, pointing at the building in front of them.
“This is the Grand Goth Hotel. Come on.” Venti replied in his ever cheerful tone, gesturing for Bloodmoon to follow him inside.
