Summary:

Destinee's backstory about being a demon and why she went to Earth.

Chapter Text

Destinee is a demon from Hell. She is a hellborn. She has been living there for 18 years of her life. She is miserable. Her parents hate her. She doesn't feel like she belongs in Hell. She wants to leave Hell and go to Earth. She will disguise herself as a human. No fangs, no tail, and no red eyes. She leaves her house and goes into the portal to Earth. She uses her powers to put on a disguise. She looks the same, but all of her demonic qualities are gone. She walks through the streets. She has never been to Earth before. She has her hands in her pockets. She doesn't know where to go. She has never been to Earth before. She finds an apartment. She walks inside. Someone sees her.

Person: Hey, who are you?!

Destinee puts her hand on their head, and they pass out. She rags them out of the apartment and erases their memory. She goes back into the apartment and locks the door. She will be staying here. She looks around. This building is too bright for her taste. She uses her powers to make the walls black. She sits down on the bed. She doesn't know what she is going to do. She didn't plan that far ahead. She didn't think she would be able to get out of Hell. She takes out the phone that she stole from the man. She looks up jobs that she can get. She needs the money. She let's her tail, red eyes and fangs show. She is exhausted. It took a lot of energy to get to Earth. She had to summon the portal. She sees a job that she likes. It's called a detective. She hides her demon features. She puts her phone in her pocket and leaves the apartment. She walks to the building. She goes inside. She walks around. A woman sees her.

Woman: Hello, ma'am, do you need something?

Destinee walks over to her.

Destinee: Yes, I do. I would like to become a detective.

Woman: Ma'am, you need to train before you become a detective.

Destinee scoffs and rolls her eyes. She looks around to see if anyone is looking. She puts her hand on the woman's head. She controls her mind. The woman looks at her.

Woman: Of course, you can become a detective.

Destinee smiles.

Destinee: Thank you.

Destinee signs a few papers and becomes a detective. She gets a badge. She goes into her new office and sits down. She knows she will be good at this job because she can use her powers to figure everything out. She hears a knock at her door.

Destinee: Come in.

A girl walks in. She looks to be about 20 years old. She has black and purple hair. She has bangs covering one of her eyes.

Girl: Hello, my name is Rebel.

Destinee: What the hell kind of name is that?

Rebel frowns.

Rebel: Excuse me?

Destinee: Oh, nothing. My name is Destinee. I'm a new detective.

Rebel: Yes, I know. I was assigned to be your guide.

Destinee: Oh, that's not necessary

Rebel: Well, my boss thinks it is.

Destinee rolls her eyes.

Destinee: Fine.

Rebel smiles.

Rebel: Great. We'll start tomorrow.

Rebel leaves. Destinee sighs. She can't believe she has to have a guide. She can do this herself. She doesn't need help. She sits back down and tries to calm down. She can't lose control of her powers

Chapter 3: Chapter 2: Angels

Summary:

Castiel is struggling with being half-human. It is winter and he doesn't handle the cold well. Meanwhile, Dean and Sam are tracking down a demon named Destinee. Castiel is trying to help them.

Chapter Text

Castiel is sitting on his bed in his room. He is getting used to being half human. The thing that he hates the most about it is the cold. He can't stand the cold at all. He would rather stay curled up in bed for the rest of winter, but he knows that Sam and Dean need his help. He has blankets wrapped around his shoulders. His teeth are chattering. He shudders. He is wearing his trench coat, but it isn't doing much to keep him warm. He rubs his arms together. He isn't used to this feeling. He has never felt like this before. Dean walks into the room.

Dean: Cas, are you awake?

Castiel sniffles and looks up at him.

Castiel: I don't sleep....often.

Dean: Oh, right. Well, are you coming?

Castiel: Yes, I'll be right there.

Dean closes the door. Castiel sighs and shivers. His teeth chatter. It is freezing. How are Sam and Dean not affected by this weather? It's unbearable. He shudders. He gets out of bed and goes downstairs. He pulls his trench coat tightly around himself. He sits down on the couch.

Dean: Good of you to join us, Cas.

Castiel nods.

Sam: How are you handling winter?

Castiel: Not well. I'm freezing.

Castiel shivers. Dean frowns.

Dean: How are you cold? You're an angel.

Castiel: I'm half human, Dean. I'm not used to the cold like you are.

Sam: That makes sense.

Dean: Well, that isn't going to keep you from helping us.

Castiel rolls his eyes.

Castiel: I know.

Dean: Have you gotten any news from up above?

Castiel: I heard that a demon has arrived on Earth.

Dean: Are you serious?

Castiel looks confused.

Castiel: Yes, Dean, I am very serious.

Sam chuckles. Dean rolls his eyes.

Dean: Yes, I can see that. We should go find this demon.

Castiel: Yeah. Out in the cold.

Dean: You'll be fine.

Dean and Sam put on their jackets. Castiel braces himself to go outside. They step outside. Castiel feels the wind blow past him. He shivers, and his teeth chatter badly. He shudders. He ducks his head down.

Castiel: I didn't think it was this cold.

Dean: Get used to it, Cas.

Castiel shivers. They go into the Impala. Dean drives around. Sam is on his phone, trying to see if any strange activity has happened. Castiel is in the back seat, trying to warm himself up.

Sam: Dean, pull over here!

Dean pulls over in a parking lot. They look up at the building.

Dean: The demon is here?

Sam: It says that a mysterious girl became a detective without training.

Dean: Oh, that does sound strange. Let's find her.

Sam nods. They go into the building. Castiel shudders. They look around for the girl. Sam shows them a picture of the girl.

Dean: What's her name?

Sam: It doesn't say.

Dean: That's very helpful.

Sam shrugs.

Dean: Let's split up and look for her.

They nod and split up. Castiel is happy to be inside where it is warmer. He looks around for the girl. He sees a girl talking to someone else. The girl looks like the person in the picture. He watches her.

Destinee: Do we have to do this?

Rebel: Yes, you have to know where the exits are.

Destinee rolls her eyes. She puts her hand on Rebel's head and makes her forget about everything she just said. Destinee's eyes glow red. Castiel gasps.

Rebel: What was I saying?

Destinee: You were going to go back to your office.

Rebel: Oh, alright. See you later.

Rebel walks away. Destinee sighs in relief. She walks down the hall. Castiel follows her. She is definitely the demon. He wonders why she decided to come to Earth. He follows her outside. Castiel takes a deep breath. Destinee sits down on one of the benches. Castiel watches her. He is shivering badly, and his teeth are chattering. He is painfully cold. His lips are blue, and his cheeks are red. He sneezes. Castiel hides as Destinee turns around.

Destinee: Is someone there?

Castiel covers his mouth. His teeth are chattering violently. He tries to control his violent shaking. Destinee stands up and walks over to where he is. Her eyes glow red.

Destinee: Come out and face me.

Castiel doesn't move or speak. Rebel walks outside.

Rebel: What are you doing out here? It's freezing. You should be working.

Destinee: Coming, Rebel!

Destinee scowls and goes inside. Castiel sighs in relief. That was close. His body is starting to shake. He goes back inside. Sam and Dean see him.

Dean: Cas, did you find the girl?

Castiel: Yes.

Sam: What's her name?

Castiel: I don't know.

Dean sighs. He notices that he is shaking badly.

Dean: Are you alright, Cas?

Castiel: I'm cold. She went outside and I followed her.

Sam: Oh.

Dean: You must be freezing. Your lips are blue.

Castiel wraps his arms around himself.

Sam: Maybe we should bring him to the car.

Dean: Yeah, I guess we should. Come on, Cas.

Dean puts his arm around Castiel and helps him get outside. Castiel is shivering. They go inside the Impala. Dean drives them home. He turns on the heater. Castiel pulls his trench coat tightly around himself. He sneezes and shudders.

Sam: Bless you.

Castiel: Thank you.

Sam: How are you feeling?

Castiel: I feel terrible. I hate being cold. It's the worst feeling ever.

Dean: I'd say feeling sad is the worst feeling.

Castiel pauses.

Castie: I've....never experienced that before.

Dean: Exactly.

Castiel looks down. Sam clears his throat.

Sam: Ummm, let's not make Cas feel worthless, Dean.

Dean: Whatever.

Castiel looks at his hands. He rakes his hand through his hair. Sam feels bad for him. They get to the bunker. They go inside. Sam wraps blankets around Castiel.

Dean: How are we going to kill this demon?

Sam: Well, we have the Colt.

Castiel: We should find out more about her. We don't even know her name.

Dean: Cas has a point.

Sam: Yeah, that's true.

Castiel rubs his arms together.

Dean: Castiel, can you spy on Destinee for us?

Castiel: I don’t know if that's a good idea. Demon's can sense angelic energy.

Sam: Well, you're half human now. Maybe it isn't as strong.

Castiel: Maybe. I'll try to do it.

Sam: Good. It's settled.

Castiel: I'm going to my room.

Castiel goes to his room. He gets under the blankets. He thinks about that girl. She wonders a lot about her. He knows that she is a demon, but he is fond of her. He hasn't even met her yet. He shouldn't be feeling these things. He is an angel, and she is a demon.

Chapter 4: Chapter 3: Mind Control

Summary:

Destinee is trying to deal with her new job. Rebel is very annoying, and she keeps using her powers on Rebel.

Chapter Text

Destinee is getting ready for work. She is not excited. She needs money, but she doesn't want to deal with Rebel. She is annoying and superficial. She is always using her power on that pathetic mortal. It's getting repetitive, and she is getting tired of it. She grabs her bag. She hides her demonic features with her magic. She leaves her apartment and walks to the building. She goes inside. She sees Rebel walking over to her. She takes a deep breath and holds in a growl.

Rebel: Good morning, Destinee.

Destinee squints her eyes at Rebel.

Destinee: Good morning, Rebel.

Rebel: Are you ready for your first real day?

Destinee: Yes. So ready.

Rebel smiles.

Rebel: Great. I'll see you around.

Destinee nods. Rebel walks away. Destinee sighs and rolls her eyes. She goes into her office and sits down at her desk. She is bored. She wants to do detective things. She wants to solve cases. She doesn't want to sit in her office all the time. She opens her computer and watches YouTube. She ends up falling asleep at her desk. She starts dreaming. She sees a man with a trench coat in front of her. He walks over to her.

Destinee: Who are you?

Castiel: My name is no concern of yours.

Destinee: What do you want from me?

Castiel: I know that you're a demon.

Destinee: Yeah, and?

Castiel: I'm going to find you.

Destinee: I doubt that.

Castiel glares at her. Destinee smirks.

Destinee: I wish you luck.

Castiel stares at her. Destinee walks away from him. She wakes up. She rubs her eyes. She can't believe that man thinks he can find her. Humans are so weird. However, she is impressed that a human a way to get into her dreams. She hears a knock at the door. She grumbles. She knows Rebel is behind that door.

Destinee: Come in, Rebel.

Rebel walks in and smiles. Destinee feels uncomfortable.

Rebel: I'm so happy that you knew it was me.

Destinee rolls her eyes.

Destinee: What do you need?

Rebel: You start your training.

Destinee frowns.

Destinee: I thought I didn't have to train.

Rebel: Well, you still have to learn the safety rules.

Destinee sighs.

Destinee: Oh, right.

Rebel: Come on. It will be fun.

Destinee: Sure, it will.

Destinee follows Rebel into another room.

Destinee: What do I have to do?

Rebel: You need to take this safety test.

Destinee: Do I have to?

Rebel: Yes, you have to.

Destinee walks over to her and puts her hand on Rebel's forehead.

Destinee: You will not make me take this test.

Destinee backs away. Rebel looks at her.

Rebel: Actually, you don't have to take the test. You passed.

Destinee smiles.

Destinee: That's great. So, can I get my first case?

Rebel: Yes. You will be assigned your first case tomorrow.

Destinee nods. She walks out of the room. Why does she have to wait until tomorrow to get her first case? What is she supposed to do today? She goes back to her office. She sits at her desk. She stares at her computer. She goes on her phone and scrolls through social media. Her boss walks into her office.

Boss: What are you doing?!

Destinee looks at him.

Destinee: Nothing. I don't have a case today.

Boss: That doesn't mean you should be on your phone.

Destinee rolls her eyes.

Destinee: What else am I supposed to do?

Boss: Anything but be on your phone.

Destinee: Ugh, fine.

Boss: Good. I wouldn't want to fire you.

Her boss walks out of the room. Destinee sighs. Her boss is so annoying. The only reason why she doesn't use her power on him is because she wouldn't be able to get close enough to touch his forehead. He likes his personal space. She wouldn't want to waste her powers on him, anyway. She goes back on her phone. She isn't going to listen to her boss. He's an asshole. He doesn't deserve to be listened to. She puts her head down. She is exhausted. Using her powers makes her feel drained. She packs up her stuff and leaves. She walks home. She goes inside her apartment. She puts her stuff away. She goes into her room and sits down on her bed. She reveals her fangs, red eyes, and tail. She sighs in relief. That took a lot of energy out of her. She lies down in her bed. She goes on her phone. She goes on social media and makes her own account. She takes a picture of herself in her demon form. She smiles. Humans are stupid. They will assume that she is wearing makeup and is in cosplay. She posts her picture on her account. She creates her bio. She records her first video.

Destinee: Hello, everyone. My name is Destinee. I recently came here from....England. I have gotten a job as a detective. I am enjoying my time in America. The people are very nice. I will try to post as much as I can.

Destinee ends the video. She posts the video. Everything she said was a lie. She doesn't think the people are nice. She may not want to be in Hell, but she is not enjoying herself. She definitely didn't come from England. At least she has a British accent. She was telling the truth about her job. She sees that she is getting views and followers already. She smirks. This is perfect. Everyone is going to love her. This will help her learn more about the humans. Humans are so gullible. They believe anything you say, no matter how ridiculous it sounds. That's how Joe Biden became a president. She understands why so many mortaks become sinners. They get free will, and this is what they do with it. So pathetic. She puts her phone away. She can't wait to get her first case tomorrow. She will do an amazing job. She can use her powers to get the truth out of everyone. She turns off the light and gets comfortable under the blankets. She falls asleep.

Chapter 5: Chapter 4: On the Hunt

Summary:

Castiel confronts Destinee.

Chapter Text

Castiel is in his room, doing research on that girl. He found out that her name is Destinee. She recently moved to the Midwest from England. He knows that's a lie. She came from Hell, but she can't tell the world that. He has a blanket wrapped around his shoulders. He can't stand this cold. He finds her social media account and watches the videos. She is a dirty little liar. All the stuff she is saying is a bunch of bull. She is lying through her teeth, and the humans believe her. Dean walks into the room.

Dean: Did you find anything?

Castiel: Dean, this Destinee girl is lying through her teeth.

Dean: Yeah, and?

Castiel: This is absurd. Lying is a sin.

Dean: Well, she is a demon.

Castiel: Yeah, but-

Dean sits next to him.

Dean: You have to realize that not everyone is a good person, Cas.

Castiel: I know.

Castiel sighs.

Castiel: I'm going to catch this girl.

Dean smiles and pats his back.

Dean: That's my boy.

Castiel smiles slightly.

Dean: Oh, look at that. I got "Chuckles" to smile.

Castiel frowns.

Castiel: I told you to stop calling me that, Dean.

Dean: I know, but it's fun.

Castiel rolls his eyes. Dean walks out of the room. Castiel sighs. He shivers. He rubs his arms together. He turns off his computer. He takes a deep breath. This is a lot of work. He is going to have to go back to that building. He doesn't want to deal with another demon. He goes downstairs. Sam sees him.

Sam: Hey, Cas. How is the searching coming along?

Castiel: It's fine, but very tiring.

Sam: Yeah, I get that. Dean made me do that all the time.

Dean frowns.

Dean: No, I didn't.

Sam stares at him.

Sam: Yes, you did.

Dean rolls his eyes.

Dean: Whatever.

Castiel clears his throat. Dean and Sam look at him.

Castiel: So, what's the plan?

Dean: You are going to find Destinee at her job. Simple.

It's not that simple, Castiel thinks.

Castiel: Ok, fine.

Castiel bundles up in his trench coat and leaves. He goes inside his car and drives to the building. He isn't used to driving. He would rather fly everywhere. The cold is still a problem for him. He gets to the building and goes inside. He walks around. He looks for Destinee. He finds her office and walks inside. Destinee turns around and sees him. She gasps.

Destinee: You were the man in my dream.

Castiel: Less of a man, and more of an angel.

Destinee chuckles.

Destinee: That's funny.

Castiel: I told you I would find you.

Destinee shrugs.

Destinee: What if I let you find me?

Castiel rolls his eyes.

Castiel: If you come quietly, I'll make it quick.

Destinee: Yeah, that's not happening.

Destinee pulls out a knife. Casiel puts his hand out.

Castiel: You really want to do this in your office?

Destinee: You're the one who came after me.

Castiel: Fine, if that's what you want.

Castiel puts his hand out and it glows brightly. Destinee covers her eyes and groans. Castiel grabs her arm. Destinee fights back. She tries to stab him with her knife. Castiel moves out of the way.

Destinee: I didn't do anything. I came here to live a normal life.

Castiel: Well, my friends don't want you here.

Destinee: Friends? You're friends with humans?

Castiel looks down.

Castiel: Yes.

Destinee: Pathetic.

Destinee hits him. Castiel groans. Destinee goes to stab him. Castiel blinds her with his angelic light. Destinee drops to the floor, covering her eyes. Castiel grabs the knife and points it at her. Destinee looks up at him. She smirks.

Destinee: Do it. Kill me.

Castiel drops the knife.

Castiel: No, I'm not going to kill you.

Destinee looks confused.

Destinee: You said you wanted to kill me. What gives?

Castiel: I'll tell my friends that I killed you. Don't do anything stupid.

Destinee stands up and frowns.

Destinee: You're a strange angel.

Castiel squints at her. He teleports away. Destinee is confused. What the hell was that about? Castiel gets into his car. He is confused by himself. Why didn't he kill that filthy demon? He is fond of her for some reason. He shouldn't be feeling these emotions for demons. Why is he feeling this way? He is going to lie to his only true friends. He sighs and drives back to the bunker. He goes inside. Sam and Dean see him.

Dean: Cas, how did it go? Did you kill her?

Castiel: Yes, I did.

Dean smiles.

Dean: That's great. Good job.

Castiel nods.

Castiel: Thank you.

Sam: Are you alright, Cas?

Casiel: Yeah, I'm fine.

Castiel goes into his room. He sits down on his bed. He is very conflicted. He didn't kill the demon, and he is lying to his friends. This is all so wrong, and yet, it feels right. Human emotions are so weird.

-

Destinee is in her office. She is thinking about that angel. She doesn't even know what his name is. She wonders why he let her go. Why wouldn't he kill her? Demons and angels are supposed to be enemies. They should be smiting each other, not sparing each other. She hides her knife in her drawer. She fixes her office with magic. She suddenly feels a pain in her head. She grabs her head and groans. She gets transported to a black room. She sees her older sister, Ruby. She frowns.

Destinee: What do you want, Ruby?

Ruby: I miss you, sister. We all do.

Destinee: You don't miss me. You hate me.

Ruby pouts.

Ruby: Don't you remeber all the fun we had? Killing angels and other demons.

Destinee: I'm not like that anymore.

Ruby: Yeah, sure.

Destinee: I don't want to be in Hell anymore. I'm living the life that I want.

Ruby: Really? With pathetic humans? Sis, I know your using your powers on them.

Destinee looks down.

Ruby: See? You'll always be a cold hearted demon. Just like us.

Destinee looks at her. Her eyes are glowing red.

Destinee: I will never be like you.

Ruby chuckles.

Ruby: I will be coming for you.

Destinee: I would love to see you try. Now get out of my head.

Ruby: Fine.

Ruby gets out of Destinee's head. Destinee is back in her office. She sighs. Her sister is such a prick. She never let her be herself. She doesn't ever want to go back to Hell.

Rebel: I have the file for your first case.

Destinee: Great.

Rebel puts the file on her desk.

Rebel: Good luck.

Destinee: Oh, I don't need luck.

Rebel smiles and leaves. Destinee picks up the file and opens it. It talks about a 14 year old girl who was murdered in her house. The suspects are the father, the brother, and the uncle. Destinee hums in acknowledge.

Destinee: Humans can be cruel.

She closes the file and grabs her purse. She goes to the crime scene. The cops are there. She goes over to them.

Destinee: Hello. My name is Destinee. I am the new detective. I was asked to take this case.

Cop: Oh, lovely. You may go inside.

Destinee: Thank you.

Destinee walks inside the house. She walks over to the crime scene and inspects it. The outline of the little girl is on the floor. There is blood everywhere. There is a knife next to the outline. She puts on gloves and picks up the knife. She puts it in a bag. The cop walks into the room.

Cop: So, what do you think?

Destinee: Well, it was definitely intentional.

Cop: Yeah, I thought the same thing.

Destinee: Do you have the body?

Cop: It's in the morgue.

Destinee: Can you show it to Mr?

Cop: Sure.

The Cop brings her to the morgue. She pulls out the body. Destinee looks at it. The little girl has stab wounds on her stomach. She has choke marks on her neck. Destinee winces.

Destinee: This is evil.

Cop: Yeah. Whoever did this is going to jail for a long time.

Destinee: Your suspects are the father, the brother, and the uncle, right?

Cop: That's right.

Destinee: Can I talk to them?

Cop: Yes. They're at the police station.

Destinee: Thank you.

Destinee goes to the police station. She walks inside. A lady sees her.

Lady: Hello, how may I help you?

Destinee: I am detective Destinee. I'm on an investigation. I'm here to talk to some suspects.

Lady: Who are the suspects?

Destinee: I don't know their names. But, they are suspected to have killed a little girl.

Lady: Oh, I know who you're talking about. They are in the room A10.

Destinee: Thank you.

Destinee goes into A10. She closes the door. The men look at her.

Uncle: Who are you?

Destinee: I am Detective Destinee. I am here to interrogate you guys on the murder of the little girl.

Father: We didn't kill her. We loved her.

Destinee: We will see about that. What are your names?

Father: Mark.

Uncle: Jack.

Destinee looks at the brother. He is crying.

Destinee: And you?

Brother: My name is Misha. Please, I would never kill my baby sister.

Destinee scoffs.

Destinee: I'll interrogate Mark first.

Jack and Misha leave. Destinee sits down in the chair. Mark is on the other side. He looks angry.

Mark: I can't believe this is happening. I didn't do anything. She was my daughter. I loved her.

Destinee tries to look sympathetic.

Destinee: I know this sounds bad, but I have to do this. We need to find out who killed your daughter. You'll all suspects whether you like it or not.

Mark rolls his eyes.

Mark: Whatever.

Destinee: May I ask you some questions?

Mark: Fine. Get it over with.

Destinee: Thank you. What was your relationship like with your daughter?

Mark: I loved Taylor. She was an amazing girl. She was a good student. She got As in all her classes. We spent so much time together.

Destinee: Did that change after your wife died?

Mark's eyes turn dark. He sighs.

Mark: I might have gotten a little depressed after she died. But, I tried to pull it together for Taylor. I didn't want her to carry this on her own.

Destinee: Did you hit her at all? Mentally abuse her?

Mark: No, of course not. I tried to be the best father I could be. I would never hit her.

Destinee: Ok. Where were you when she was killed?

Mark: I was at work. I'm a businessman.

Destinee: Do you know if anyone was home with Taylor?

Mark: No, I don't.

Destinee: Thank you for your time. Can you get Jack for me?

Mark: Yes.

Mark leaves. Jack walks inside and sits down.

Destinee: Hello, Jack. So, I understand your Taylor's uncle, correct?

Jack: Yes, that's correct.

Destinee: So, what was your relationship like with her?

Jack: I spent some much time with her. We would go to the playground together. I loved her very much. I babysat her when Mark and Misha couldn't. She trusted me with her life.

Destinee: That's nice. Did you ever change after your sister died?

Jack: It was very heartbreaking, but I was always there for Taylor. I would stay with her at night when she had nightmares. I never left her side. I was so heartbroken when I found out that she died.

Destinee: Where were you when she died?

Jack: I was at my house with my wife. I found out she was dead in the morning.

Destinee: Do you know who was with Taylor when she died?

Jack: No, I have no idea.

Destinee: Ok, thank you. Can you get Misha for me?

Jack: Yes.

Jack leaves. Misha walks inside. His eyes are red from crying. He sits down.

Destinee: Hello, Misha. I know this is upsetting, but this needs to be done.

Misha sniffles.

Misha: I understand.

Destinee: So, what was your relationship like with your sister?

Misha: I loved my baby sister very much. She would always come to me for help and support. I protected her with my life. I felt like I failed her after I found out that she died.

Destinee: Did your views change after your mother died?

Misha: No, definitely not. I was with Taylor all the time after that incident. I shouldn't have left her alone with that boy.

Destinee: What boy?

Misha: Her boyfriend, Blaze. He was the only one with her when she died.

Destinee: Her boyfriend?

Misha: Yes. I bet he did it. He never called the cops.

Destinee: Who found the body?

Misha: Our neighbors did. It was terrible. Blaze didn't have the guts to call the cops.

Destinee: You think he did it?

Misha: Of course I did. I never trusted him, and now my sister is dead.

Misha cries. Destinee bites her lip. She isn't used to these emotions.

Destinee: I will interrogate Blaze. I will find out who did this.

Misha: Thank you.

Misha leaves. Destinee leaves. She goes over to the lady.

Destinee: Can you get someone to the station for me?

Lady: Of course. Who?

Destinee: Taylor's boyfriend, Blaze.

Lady: Yes. I can do that.

Destinee: Thank you.

Destinee goes back into the interrogation room. 20 minutes later, Blaze walks inside. He looks upset. He sits down.

Destinee: Hello, Blaze.

Blaze: H Hello.

Blaze is sweating. His hands are shaking in his lap.

Destinee: So, you are Taylor's boyfriend?

Blaze: Yes.

Destinee: Misha told me you were with Taylor when she died. You didn't call the cops. Why is that?

Blaze: I was so distraught. I was in the bathroom and I heard a loud bang. I came downstairs and saw her bleeding on the floor. I didn't know what to do. I was shaking terribly and I ran out of the house.

Destinee: Well, you're the top suspect on my list.

Blaze: I would never kill her. I loved her with all my heart. She was the love of my life.

Destinee: Well, I would have called the cops.

Blaze looks down.

Destinee: You may leave, but I want you to stay for further questioning.

Blaze: Ok.

Blaze leaves the room. Destinee sighs. Blaze walks by Mark, Jack and Misha. Mark frowns at him.

Mark: You're a dick, Blaze.

Blaze looks at him.

Blaze: What?

Mark: I know what you did. You didn't call the cops. I know you killed my daughter.

Blaze: I didn't kill her. I was distressed. I regret what I did, but I didn't do it.

Mark: Yeah, right.

Mark stands up.

Jack: Mark, I'm angry with him too, but don't start a fight in the presinct.

Mark growls at Blaze. He pushes him. Blaze frowns and pushes him back. Mark falls to the ground. Misha looks worried.

Misha: Help!

The cops come running in. They separate Mark and Blaze.

Cop: That's enough.

Mark brushes himself off and sits down.

Mark: Dick.

Blaze frowns and walks away. Destinee comes into the room.

Destinee: What happened?

Jack: Blaze pushed Mark onto the floor.

Destinee: Oh, great.

Mark: You need to put him in jail.

Destinee: I don't have enough evidence for him yet.

Mark: I know it's him. The bastard.

Destinee rolls her eyes. Humans are so pushy. She walks away. She goes to talk to Blaze. Jack wipes his hands on his pants. Misha looks at him.

Misha: What are you doing, Uncle Jack.

Jack: My hands are sweaty. It is awfully warm in here.

Misha: Yeah, that's true.

Jack holds his hands together. Destinee finds Blaze in another room. She closes the door.

Destinee: Why did you attack Mark?

Blaze: He was provoking me, goddammit !

Destinee: Well, this doesn't exactly help your case.

Destinee sits down.

Destinee: You need to tell me the truth.

Blaze: No.

Destinee looks at him in the eyes. She uses her powers.

Destinee: Tell me the...truth.

Blaze stares at her.

Blaze: No.

Destinee is surprised. Her powers aren't working. She doesn't know what to do.

Destinee: Fine. I hope you have fun in jail in 5 days.

Blaze glares at her. Destinee walks out of the room. The cop walks over to her.

Cop: Did he tell you anything?

Destinee: No, he won't talk.

Cop: He'll talk eventually. Any who, I think you should let the boys leave.

Destinee: Ok.

Destinee goes over to the boys.

Destinee: You guys are allowed to leave.

Mark: Finally.

Mark and Jack walk out. Misha goes over to Destinee. He has tears in his eyes.

Misha: Please find out who killed my sister.

Destinee: I will. I promise.

Misha leaves the building. Destinee sighs. All the evidence points to Blaze. The cop runs over to her.

Cop: Blaze escaped.

Destinee: He what?!

Destinee runs into the room. Blaze is, in fact, gone. She runs outside the building. She looks for Blaze. She sees him trying to escape in a car. She snaps her fingers, and the car doors lock. Destinee runs over to him and grabs him.

Destinee: You thought you could escape?

Blaze: Let go of me. I didn't do it. I loved Taylor.

They hear sirens. Destinee gets distracted. Blaze hits her and runs away. Destinee groans and spits.

Destinee: Bitch.

Destinee walks around. She needs to find Blaze before he hurts anyone else. Her phone starts ringing. She answers it.

Cop: I know where Blaze is going.

Destinee: Where?

Cop: He's going to Jack's house.

Destinee gasps.

Destinee: Oh my god, what if he's going to kill Jack?

Cop: I don’t know. But, you have to get there fast.

Destinee: Got it.

Destinee teleports to Jack's house. She goes inside.

Destinee: Jack?! Are you in here?!

She doesn't hear a response.

Destinee: Oh no.

Destinee looks around the house. She goes into the basement. She gasps at what she sees. Blaze is tied up in a chair. He is all bloody. He is passed out. Jack walks out of the shadows. He has a knife in his hand.

Jack: Hello, Destinee.

Destinee: Jack?

Jack: I got to say, you are a terrible detective.

Destinee: You killed Taylor? You're own niece.

Jack: Yes.

Jack slices Blaze's arm.

Destinee: Why would you do that? I thought you loved her.

Jack: I did, but she fucking changed.

Destinee: What are you talking about?

Jack: Well, first off, she started dating this dick. She was doing drugs. She was going to do eventually.

Destinee shudders.

Destinee: Why was she doing drugs?

Jack: I'm guessing anxiety and depression.

Destinee: Why didn't you try to help her?

Jack: She was long gone. Blaze didn't make it any better. I saved her.

Destinee shakes her head.

Destinee: You're a monster.

Jack chuckles. He stabs Blaze in the arm. Blaze wakes up and screams in pain. He is crying.

Destinee: You won't get away with this.

Jack: Oh, I think I will.

Jack goes to stab Blaze. Destinee blasts him with her powers. He falls to the floor. Jack groans. Destinee takes his knife away.

Destinee: You're going to jail for a long time.

The cops come in and take Jack away. Destinee unties Blaze and helps him get out of the house. The ambulance take him to the hospital. Misha and Mark are outside. Misha rushes over to her.

Misha: Thank you so much for helping us.

Destinee: You're welcome.

Misha: My uncle is a monster. I trusted him.

Destinee: I'm sorry you had to find out this way.

Misha: It's not your fault. It's good to know that my sister's boyfriend wasn't a jerk.

Mark comes over to them.

Mark: I can't believe I accused Blaze for murdering Taylor. I can't believe my son in law would do something like this.

Destinee: Well, I hope you guys get better. I have to get going.

Mark nods. Destinee goes back to her job. Rebel sees her.

Rebel: I heard about the case. I can't believe someone would kill their own niece.

Destinee: Yeah. That's dark.

Destinee goes into her office. She sits at her desk. She is proud of herself for solving this case, even if the stupid uncle tricked him. Now, to get back on track. Finding that angel, Castiel, and making sure her sister doesn't find her.

Chapter 7: Chapter 6: Changing your Ways

Summary:

Castiel finds out about the case that Destinee solved and that she saved a family. He visits her and tells her that she can become a better person. Destinee tells him that she will never change

Chapter Text

Castiel is sitting on his bed in his room. He is shivering slightly from the cold. He found out that Destinee saved a family and solved a murder case. He is impressed. He didn't think a demon could do something heroic like that. Maybe she can change her ways. He is going to visit her again. He shivers, and his teeth chatter. He hates the cold so much. He goes downstairs. Dean sees him.

Dean: Hey, Cas.

Castiel: Hi.

Castiel shivers. Dean notices.

Dean: Are you cold, Cas?

Castiel: A little.

Dean hums.

Dean: Where are you heading?

Castiel: I'm going to the store.

Dean: Fine. Knock yourself out.

Castiel: I won't knock myself out.

Dean: It's... never mind.

Castiel leaves the bunker. Castiel shivers and wraps his arms around himself. He walks to the building. He is shivering like a leaf. His teeth are chattering. He gets to the building. He quickly walks inside. He tries to warm himself up. Chills are going down his spine. The cold is a bitch. He walks around and tries to find Destinee. He gets to her office. He opens the door. Destinee looks up.

Destinee: Oh, it's you again.

Castiel closes the door.

Destinee: What do you want?

Castiel: I just want to talk to you.

Destinee: Say it.

Castiel: I know that you saved a family and solved a murder case

Destinee: Yeah. What's it to you?

Castiel: That's a good deed. You can change, Destinee.

Destinee glares at him.

Destinee: I'm a demon. We don't change/

Castiel: But you can. You left Hell for a reason. You can become a better person.

Destinee pulls out a knife.

Destinee: Listen up, angel. I will never change.

Castiel: You don't know that.

Destinee: Yes, I do.

Castiel: My friends will come after you when they find out that you're not dead.

Destinee: Let them. They can't kill me.

Castiel sighs. This girl is so stubborn.

Destinee: Why do you care so much? You're an angel and I'm a demon.

Castiel: I don't care.

Destinee rolls her eyes.

Destinee: So, are we done here?

Castiel: No.

Destinee sighs. She looks at him.

Destinee: Like I said before, I'm not killing anyone.

Castiel: I know.

Destinee: Can you just leave?

Castiel: Why are you demons so negative?

Destinee: I don't know? Maybe because we're tortured all the time.

Castiel rolls his eyes.

Castiel: Fine, I'll leave.

Destinee: Good.

Castiel leaves the building. It's getting colder out. Castiel ducks his head and shakes. His teeth are chattering. He rubs his hands together. His lips are turning blue and his cheeks are red. He can't stand this cold weather. He can't stop shaking. His hands are numb. He feels someone put their hand on his shoulder. He turns around and sees a girl. Her eyes turn black, and she hits him. He falls to the floor. He is too cold to fight back. He is on the ground, shaking. The girl walks over to him. She grabs him by his collar. Castiel's teeth chatter.

Girl: Look at you. So weak and helpless. Shivering like a lost kitten.

Castiel shudders. The girl gets punched on the side of her face. She falls on the ground. Castiel backs away. Destinee is standing there.

Destinee: Leave him alone, Ruby.

Ruby scowls and stands up.

Ruby: You've changed, sister. Protecting an angel? What happened to you?

Destinee: I haven't changed. I just don't want you causing a scene near my job.

Ruby rolls her eyes.

Ruby: Angels are losers, Destine.

Destinee: You think I don't know that?

Destinee looks at Castiel. Castiel is a shivering mess. Destinee sighs.

Destinee: Get out of here, Ruby. You shouldn't be here.

Ruby: You shouldn't be here. You belong in Hell, with the rest of us.

Destinee: No, I'm never going back.

Ruby frowns, and her eyes glow red.

Ruby: I will bring you back.

Ruby disappears. Castiel stands up. He wraps his arms around himself.

Castiel: Thank you.

Destinee: Don't say that.

Castiel shakes from the cold. His teeth chatter. Destinee looks at him.

Destinee: Are you cold?

Castiel: I'm not used to the cold.

Castiel shudders. Destinee sighs.

Destinee: I can't believe I saved an angel.

Castiel: You're changing.

Destinee: Shut up. I don't even know what your name is.

Castiel: It's Castiel.

Destinee: Castiel?

Castiel: Yes.

Destinee nods. Castiel shivers.

Castiel: It's fucking cold out here.

Destinee: Oh, I didn't know angels could cuss.

Castiel: Of course they can. That's a myth.

Destinee shrugs. Castiel is shivering.

Destinee: Do you want to come inside? You look very pale.

Castiel: Sure.

They go inside the building. Castiel rubs his hands together. He has goosebumps all over his arms. He sits down in the lobby. Destinee sits next to him.

Destinee: Thank you for not killing me.

Castiel looks at her.

Castiel: You're welcome.

Destinee: I should get going. Stay warm.

Destinee walks away. Castiel watches her leave. He gets up and leaves the building. He braces himself against the wind. He shivers and walks home. He gets back to the bunker. Sam and Dean are out in the back. Castiel goes into his room and sits on his bed. He thinks about what Destinee said. She may think that she will never change, but he thinks she can. She saved her. That is evidence enough. He is still upset about the fact that he is lying about killing Destinee. He sighs and wraps a blanket around himself. His leg bounces slightly. He turns on his computer and watches YouTube. He has become fond of these videos on YouTube. No, he's not watching porn. He learned the dark side of that content. He doesn't ever want to go back to that. Dean was right about it. It is a dark place. He taps his finger on his knee. He is restless. He has nothing to do. Heaven doesn't want him to ever come back. He may still be an angel, but he is experiencing human traits, like feeling cold, having emotions, and having bad anxiety. He has noticed that he has been getting more anxious lately. He has been able to hide it from Sam and Dean, but his hands shake more often. He sweats even when he is cold. It's all very difficult to understand. He doesn't want to be a burden, so he keeps it to himself.

Chapter 8: Chapter 7: Threats

Chapter Text

Destinee is at work in her office. She doesn't have a case today. She is working on paperwork. She is bored out of her fucking mind. She is thinking about what her sister said. She will keep trying to bring her back to Hell. She will not let Ruby take her back. She sees a portal open up in her office. Ruby steps out of it. Destinee looks worried. She stands up.

Destinee: What are you doing here, Ruby?

Ruby: I told you I would come and get you.

Destinee's eyes turn red. Her fangs and tail come out.

Destinee: I will never go with you. I'm staying right here.

Ruby tilts her head to the side.

Ruby: Are you sure about that?

Destinee: Yes.

Ruby takes out a knife and lunges at Destinee. Destinee puts up a force field. Ruby growls. Her fangs are showing. Destinee pushes her back. She pulls out a knife of her own. She tries to attack Ruby. Ruby moves out of the way.

Destinee: Why would I come back? Our parents hate me.

Ruby: They hate you because you're weak.

Destinee: I'm not fucking weak!

Ruby: Oh, yeah? Well, you're definitely becoming soft. You saved an angel.

Destinee growls and pushes her back. Ruby smirks.

Ruby: See? You can't even bring yourself to fight me.

Destinee: I hate you.

Ruby: Aww, that hurts my feelings, Destinee.

Ruby pouts. Destinee rolls her eyes.

Destinee: No, it doesn't.

Ruby smiles.

Ruby: You're right, it doesn't, I don't give a fuck about what you think about me. But I do care about the fact that you're becoming friends with an angel.

Destinee frowns.

Destinee: That angel is not my friend.

Ruby: Yeah, sure, he's not.

Destinee glares at her.

Ruby: I will get you to come back one way or another. Mark my words.

Ruby teleports. Destinee sighs. She puts her knife on her desk. She makes her demon attributes disappear. She can't deal with this on her own. She needs help. The only person she can think of is that angel, Castiel. She doesn't want to ask for his help, but she doesn't have a choice. She feels so pathetic. Going to an angel for help. She is a demon, for Satan's sake. She knows that his friends wanted her dead. She will have to be careful if they are with him. She puts her knife in her pocket. She leaves the building and tries to find Castiel. She will be able to sense his presence when she is close. She has no idea where to go, though. This will take forever. After a couple of hours, she finally finds where Castiel is. He is in a bunker. She goes to the front door. She knocks on the door. A man with green eyes answers the door.

Dean: Who are you?

Destinee: My name is Destinee.

Dean: Destinee? The demon, Destinee?

Destinee: That's me.

Dean: I thought Cas killed you.

Destinee: Well, he obviously failed.

Dean frowns.

Dean: Are you here to fight?

Destinee: No, I'm here to talk to Castiel.

Dean: Why?

Destinee rolls her eyes.

Destinee: Just let me see him.

Dean: Why should I trust you? You're a demon.

Destinee: Please, if I were going to kill you, I would have done so already.

Dean sighs.

Dean: Fine, come in.

Destinee walks inside. Dean closes the door.

Dean: Cas, there's someone here to see you.

Castiel teleports behind him.

Castiel: I heard.

Dean jumps and turns around.

Dean: Shit! Don't do that, man!

Castiel looks confused.

Castiel: I'm sorry.

Castiel sees Destinee.

Castiel: Destinee?

Destinee: Hi, Castiel.

Dean: Cas, I thought you killed her.

Castiel looks nervous. He gulps.

Castiel: I thought I did. I guess she healed herself somehow.

Destinee raises an eyebrow. Castiel clears his throat.

Castiel: What do you want, Destinee?

Destinee: I need your help.

Castiel: My help?

Destinee: My sister, Ruby, the one who attacked you. She wants to bring me back to Hell, and she will do whatever it takes to do it.

Castiel: What am I supposed to do?

Dean: Yeah, and why would we help you?

Destinee looks at Dean.

Destinee: I didn't ask for your help. I asked for his.

Dean: Yeah, well, he's our friend.

Destinee rolls her eyes. She looks at Castiel. Sam is watching this in the corner.

Destinee: Please help me, Castiel. You should know how difficult it is for me to ask an angel for help.

Dean: Then, why do it?

Destinee: Because I'm desperate. I don't want to go back to Hell ever.

Dean: Oh, I wasn't expecting that.

Destinee: People don't expect a lot from demons. So, Castiel, will you help me?

Castiel: Can I talk to you privately?

Destinee: Sure.

Castiel teleports them both into his room. Destinee gasps.

Destinee: Wow, that was impressive.

Castiel: This isn't a trap, is it?

Destinee: What do you mean?

Castiel: You're not trying to make a deal with me?

Destinee: No, of course not. I just don't want to go to Hell again. I'm not like other demons, okay? Please.

Castiel: Fine, I'll help you. But you should stay here with us. You can't go back to your old home or to your job until we get this under control.

Destinee: Yes, of course. Do you have a spare room?

Castiel: No, you can use my bed.

Destinee: But, don't you need a place to sleep?

Castiel: I don't sleep.

Destinee: Right. Thanks.

Castiel nods. Destinee looks into his blue eyes. She quickly looks away and clears his throat.

Destinee: I don't think your friends like me.

Castiel: It's understandable. You're a demon.

Destinee: Yeah. It's a shame, I liked my job. Even if my coworkers and boss are annoying.

Castiel sits on the bed.

Castiel: You did the right thing. Saving that family.

Destinee: Yeah, I guess.

Destinee sits on the bed next to him.

Destinee: I guess you're not too annoying, for an angel.

Castiel: And you're not that evil, for a demon.

Destinee chuckles.

Castiel: What's so bad about Hell? Well, I know it's Hell, but you sounded like you really didn't want to be there.

Destinee: Well, my sister is a bitch and my parents hate me.

Castiel: Yeah. That does sound bad.

Destinee: I can't believe I was born in that dumpster fire.

Castiel nods.

Castiel: I have to admit, I don't understand why hellborns have such a bad rep. They didn't choose their fates. They were born in Hell.

Destinee: At least you're smart.

Castiel chuckles, but doesn't smile. Destinee smiles. She is starting to like it here.

Chapter 9: Chapter 8: In Hiding

Summary:

Destinee is living with Castiel, Sam, and Dean now. Castiel and Destinee are starting to become closer. Dean doesn’t trust Destinee.

Chapter Text

Destinee wakes up the next morning. She jumps when she sees Castiel sitting on the bed. He is staring at her.

Destinee: Castiel, what the hell are you doing?!

Castiel looks confused.

Castiel: What do you mean?

Destinee: Why are you watching me sleep?

Castiel: Well, this is my room, and I have nothing else to do.

Destinee sighs. She gets out of bed.

Destinee: It feels weird not to be getting ready for work.

Castiel nods. Destinee stares at the floor. Castiel wants to console her, but he isn't good at emotions. He looks away.

Destinee: I really don't want to stay in this bunker all day.

Castiel: Well, I'm sorry, but you have to.

Destinee sighs.

Destinee: What am I supposed to do here? Dean and Sam hate me.

Castiel: I don't think Sam hates you.

Destinee: Well, he doesn't trust me.

Castiel: You could spend time with me.

Destinee: You're an angel.

Castiel: Yeah, I know. I mean, you can go outside near the bunker.

Destinee: Well, at least I can get out of this place.

Castiel: I don’t know why you would want to go outside. It's freezing out there.

Destinee: I like the cold. It's refreshing.

Castiel: I hate the cold. It's unbearable.

Destinee: You'll get used to it.

Castiel stares at her.

Castiel: I've been here for 5 years, and I still can't handle it.

Destinee shrugs.

Castiel: I'm going to go downstairs.

Destinee nods. Castiel goes downstairs. Dean and Sam see him.

Dean: Cas, we need to talk.

Castiel: Why?

Dean: She shouldn't be here. She's a demon. What if she's trying to kill us?

Castiel: She's not trying to kill us. She needs protection.

Dean: Are you in love with her or something?

Castiel: No, I'm not.

Dean: I don’t trust her.

Castiel: I didn't think you were going to trust her right away.

Dean: Well, good. You're learning.

Castiel rolls his eyes.

Sam: We just don't want to risk anything happening to us. We're a team.

Castiel: I understand, but she's not going to harm us.

Sam nods. Dean rolls his eyes. Destinee comes downstairs.

Destinee: You know I can hear you talking about me, right?

Dean: Yeah? I don't care.

Destinee rolls her eyes.

Destinee: I'm not here to hurt you. I just want protection.

Dean: Yeah, I heard.

Destinee: What is your problem?

Castiel: He has trust issues.

Dean: Yeah, because demons are evil.

Destinee shakes her head. She walks outside. Castiel sighs.

Castiel: I think you hurt her feelings.

Dean: I thought demons didn't have feelings.

Sam: Dean!

Dean: What?! You should agree with me. A demon killed your girlfriend.

Sam: I know, but she doesn't seem like the others.

Dean scowls and walks away. Sam follows him. Castiel doesn't want to go out in the cold, but he wants to make sure Destinee is alright. He goes outside and shivers. He sees Destinee and goes over to her.

Castiel: Is it alright if I sit with you?

Destinee: Sure.

Castiel sits next to her.

Castiel: I'm sorry that Dean said that to you.

Destinee: It's alright. I'm used to it.

Castiel: I don't know if it means anything, but I trust you.

Destinee: Well, that means you're a fool.

Castiel: Well, then I'll be a fool.

Destinee smiles.

Destinee: You have a good heart. Most of the angels don't.

Castiel: Yeah, they can be arrogant at times.

Destinee: They are cruel. They think they are beneath us. They aren't any better than us demons. They don't even care about humanity.

Castiel nods. The wind blows, and he shivers. His teeth chatter. He pulls his trench coat tightly around himself. Destinee looks at him.

Destinee: You're cold.

Castiel: Yeah, it's freezing.

Castiel shivers. Destinee wants to put her arm around him, but she doesn't want to freak him out. She shouldn't even be talking to him. They are on opposite sides.

Destinee: We should go back inside.

Castiel: Ok.

Castiel and Destinee go back inside. Castiel sits on the couch and wraps a blanket around himself. Destinee sits next to him. Her phone starts ringing. She takes it out and answers it.

Destinee: Hello?

Rebel: Destinee, where are you? You should have been at work 3 hours ago.

Shit, Destinee thinks. She forgot about that. She takes a deep breath.

Destinee: I'm sorry, Rebel. I'm going to be out for a while.

Rebel: For how long and why?

Destinee: For a few months. I've been having a tough time. I need to take a break.

Rebel: Oh, I'm sorry. Do you need anything?

Destinee: No, that won't be necessary.

Rebel: Well, call me if you need anything. Feel better.

Rebel hangs up. Destinee sighs and puts her phone away. Castiel looks at her.

Castiel: Who was that?

Destinee: My coworker, Rebel. She was wondering why I wasn't at work.

Castiel nods. Dean comes inside the room.

Dean: You guys can stop flirting with each other.

Castiel looks confused. Destinee puts her hand on his shoulder.

Destinee: Don't listen to him, Castiel.

Dean rolls his eyes. Destine walks over to him.

Destinee: I know you don't trust me, but that doesn't give you the right to act like this.

Dean: You can't tell me what to do.

Destinee: I wasn't. I just wanted you to know how I feel.

Dean glares at her. Destinee walks away. Castiel stands up and walks over to Dean.

Castiel: Why are you so mean to her?

Dean: She's a demon.

Castiel: Dean, that's a terrible excuse.

Dean groans in annoyance.

Dean: We hunt demons, not protect them.

Castiel: She's not like the others.

Dean: Cas, she is playing with you. She is exactly like the others. All demons are the same.

Dean walks away. Castiel sighs. Dean is wrong. Destinee is not like the other demons. She has a good heart. She may be sarcastic at times, but she is considerate and nice. She cares about the humans in her own way. Castiel may not know what love is, but he is growing fond of this demon. Dean and Sam may not trust her, but he does. She hasn't done anything wrong. He knows bad demons, and she is not one of them. She can definitely change if she tries to.

Chapter 10: Chapter 9: Savior

Summary:

Ruby shows up again and tries to bring Destinee back to Hell. Ruby hurts Destinee, and Castiel saves her.

Chapter Text

Destinee is dreaming. Ruby appears in her dream. Destinee frowns.

Destinee: You are not going to bring me back to Hell, Ruby.

Ruby: I wouldn't say that, Destinee. I know you're hanging out with demon hunters and that angel.

Destinee looks surprised. Ruby chuckles.

Ruby: You thought I didn't know? I will get you, even if I have to kill your new friends to do it.

Destinee: I dare you to try.

Ruby smiles.

Ruby: I will.

Ruby disappears. Destinee sighs. She wakes up suddenly. Castiel isn't in the room with her. She wishes he were in the room for some reason. She gets out of bed and gets dressed.

-

Castiel and Dean are downstairs talking.

Dean: I can't believe I'm letting that demon live here.

Castiel: Well, believe it. She needs protection.

Dean: Yeah, too weak to defend herself.

Castiel glares at him. Dean sighs. Destinee comes downstairs.

Destinee: Castiel, can I talk to you?

Castiel: Sure.

Destinee: Alone.

Dean: You can say whatever you need to say in front of me.

Destinee: Fine. My sister is coming to get me. She's going to do whatever it takes to take me back to Hell, including killing all of you.

Dean: That's great. I'll get the Colt.

Castiel: I don't think we should kill her sister.

Dean: Well, tough. She's trying to kill us. I'm not risking it.

Destinee: Be my guest. She's a bitch, anyway.

Dean goes to get the Colt. Castiel looks at Destinee.

Castiel: Are you going to be alright?

Destinee: Yeah, I can handle my sister, I think.

Castiel: Well, I told you I would protect you, so that's what I'm going to do.

Destinee nods.

Castiel: How did you know she was coming?

Destinee: She visited my dream.

Castiel: Oh, shit. I didn't know demons could visit people in their dreams. I thought that was only an angel thing.

Destinee: Well, news flash, it's not.

Castiel scoffs. He sits down on the couch. Destinee looks at his trench coat. It looks nice. She would love to try it on.

Castiel: Why does your sister want you to come back if she hates you?

Destinee: My parents want me to come back. They hate me and want to see me suffer. They're making her do their dirty work.

Castiel: Oh.

Destinee: My whole family is royalty. My parents are a prince and a princess. So, that makes my sister and me princesses. I hate being a princess, especially a demon one. I had so many duties. I was forced to kill demon children.

Castiel: I'd probably want to leave, too.

Destinee: Yeah, well, you're an angel.

Castiel shrugs. Destinee sighs.

Destinee: I'm sorry. I don't mean to dump all my shit onto you. I just never had someone to talk to.

Castiel: It's alright. I understand. Angels aren't supposed to talk about their feelings, so I get it.

Destinee smiles and chuckles.

Destinee: I'll be right back.

Castiel: Okay.

Destinee goes upstairs to her room. She sits down on the bed. She goes on her phone. She sees a portal open up. She gasps. Ruby steps out of the portal. Destinee stands up. Ruby smirks.

Ruby: You're not getting away this time.

Destinee: I wouldn't count on that.

Ruby pulls out a knife. Destinee pulls out hers. Ruby lunges at Destinee and teleports them outside. Destinee falls onto the floor. Ruby chuckles.

Ruby: You've gotten weaker. This is going to be too easy.

Destinee groans and stands up. She points her knife at Ruby.

Destinee: Come get me, bitch.

Ruby runs towards her. She tries to stab her. Ruby blocks her attack. She grabs Destinee and holds her by the collar. Destinee struggles.

Destinee: Let me go, Ruby.

Ruby: You were never able to beat me. Even when we were children, teens. You are very weak.

Destinee hisses at her. Ruby punches her in the face. Destinee groans in pain.

Ruby: Before I take you to Hell, I will make you suffer.

Destinee looks worried. Ruby stabs her in the side. Destinee screams in pain. Ruby covers her mouth. Destinee has tears in her eyes.

Castiel: Hey, assbutt!

Ruby looks over at him.

Castiel: Let her go.

Castiel takes out the Colt. Ruby teleports away. Castiel puts the Colt away. He goes over to Destinee. She is bleeding. He cradles her in his arms.

Castiel: Don't worry, you're going to be fine.

Destinee: It hurts.

Castiel: I know, I know.

Castiel brushes her hair out of her face. Destinee passes out. Castiel carries Destinee back into the bunker. He brings her to the room. He lies her on the bed. Sam and Dean come into the room.

Sam: What happened?

Castiel: Her sister stabbed her in the side. She's bleeding a lot.

Dean: Can't you heal her?

Castiel: No. I can't heal demons.

Dean chuckles.

Castiel stops the wound from bleeding. He bandages her up.

Castiel: She needs to rest.

Sam and Dean nod and leave the room. Castiel sits next to the bed. He was generally worried about her. He strokes her hair. Destinee wakes up. She gasps. She sees Castiel.

Destinee: Castiel?

Castiel: Yes, it's me.

Destinee tries to sit up. She groans in pain. Castiel helps her lie back down.

Castiel: Don't try to sit up. You're still injured.

Destinee: I fucking hate my sister.

Castiel chuckles.

Castiel: You and me both.

Destinee: Thank you for healing me.

Castiel: Oh, I didn't heal you. I only bandaged you up.

Destinee: Well, still, thank you. I thought I could face my sister, but I was wrong.

Castiel: Hey, you tried. She just caught you off guard.

Destinee chuckles.

Destinee: You're definitely an angel.

Castiel smiles slightly. He holds her hand. Destinee looks at his hand and smiles. Dean walks into the room.

Dean: Oh, you're awake.

Destinee: Yeah, no thanks to you. You probably wanted me to get taken back.

Dean doesn't respond.

Destinee: Just get out.

Dean nods and walks out of the room. Destinee sighs.

Castiel: He'll warm up to you. He was like that when he first met me.

Destinee: Yeah, but you're an angel. I'm a demon.

Castiel: I know, but he'll get better. I promise.

Dean: At least Sam is nicer.

Castiel: Yeah, he always was. He's more... approachable.

Destinee: Yeah, tell me about it.

Castiel snickers. Destinee chuckles.

Destinee: Now I do have a reason not to go to work. I can't even walk.

Castiel: Yeah.

Destinee smiles. Maybe she can learn to fit in, after all.

Chapter 11: Chapter 10: Nightmares

Summary:

Destinee is still injured. She ends up having a nightmare and Castiel tries to comfort her. He isn't good with human emotions, but he tries his best.

Chapter Text

Destinee is still injured. She is in bed, asleep. Castiel is watching over her. She is having a nightmare about when she was younger. She was 6 years old, and she lived in Hell. Her parents forced her to do evil things, even when she was a little girl. Ruby never helped her get out of it. She was just as bad as her parents. She is crying in her sleep. Castiel notices. He doesn't know what to do. He reaches his hand out and touches her forehead. She wakes up suddenly. She hisses at him. Her fangs are showing. Castiel pulls his hand away. He stares at her. Destinee realizes that it's Castiel. She takes a deep breath and calms down.

Destinee: I'm sorry, I was startled.

Castiel: It's alright. I understand.

Destinee has tears coming down her cheeks.

Castiel: Are you alright?

Destinee looks away.

Destinee: I had a nightmare.

Castiel looks confused.

Castiel: A nightmare?

Destinee: A bad dream.

Castiel: Oh. I'm sorry to hear that.

Destinee nods.

Castiel: What was it about?

Destinee: My childhood as a hellborn demon. It was terrible. My family made me do horrible things.

Castiel nods. Destinee puts her head in her hands. Castiel doesn't know what to do. He isn't good with human emotions. He wants to comfort her, but he doesn't know how. Destinee is crying. Castiel reaches his hand out to comfort her, but he hesitates. Comforting a demon is definitely a sin. He sucks in a breath and puts his hand on Destinee's shoulder.

Castiel: I'm here for you.

Destinee looks up at him. She looks into his eyes. She hugs him. He is surprised. He hugs her back. He rubs her back.

Destinee: You're the only person who ever listened. Thank you, Castiel.

Castiel: You're welcome.

Destinee pulls away. Castiel holds her hand.

Destinee: I can't believe I'm stuck in this bed. I want to move around.

Castiel: I know, it's upsetting.

Destinee leans against him. Castiel puts his arm around her.

Destinee: Thank you for taking care of me.

Castiel looks at her.

Castiel: It's the least I can do. You've saved me many times.

Destinee: You saved me, too, from my evil sister.

Castiel: Yeah.

Destinee groans from pain. Castiel looks worried.

Castiel: Are you alright?

Destinee: Yeah, my side started hurting.

Castiel: I could get you a heating pad.

Destinee: That isn't necessary.

Castiel: No, I insist.

Destinee: Ok, thanks.

Castiel teleports away. Destinee lies back down. She groans. She is about to fall asleep when Castiel appears in the room.

Castiel: I got the heating pad.

Castiel gently helps her sit up. She rests against the headboard. Castiel puts the heating pad on her side. Destinee sighs in relief.

Destinee: That's better.

Castiel: Good.

Castiel sits next to the bed.

Destinee: You don't have to stay with me. I'll be fine.

Castiel: Are you sure?

Destinee: Yeah, I'm sure.

Castiel: Ok. Call me if you need anything.

Destinee nods. Castiel walks out of the room. He closes the door. Destinee tries to get comfortable under the blankets. She falls asleep again. Castiel goes downstairs and sits on the couch. Dean comes over.

Dean: How's Destinee doing?

Castiel: Her side is hurting, and she had a nightmare.

Dean sits next to him.

Dean: What was it about?

Castiel: I don't think she would want me to tell you.

Dean: Yeah, I guess that makes sense.

Castiel nods.

Dean: Maybe I shouldn't be so mean to her. She didn't do anything wrong.

Castiel: Yeah. We would know if we were doing something wrong.

Dean chuckles.

Dean: Sam sure would.

Castiel: That's what I meant.

Dean rolls his eyes.

Castiel: Do you ever feel doubt?

Dean: Yeah, of course I do.

Castiel hums.

Dean: Why?

Castiel: I'm starting to doubt that demons are bad.

Dean looks at him.

Dean: Hey, don't doubt that. Most demons are bad. She is the only good one so far.

Castiel: Alright. I trust you.

Dean: Yeah.

Dean walks into the kitchen. Castiel sighs and rubs his temples. He is concerned about Destinee. She seemed to be in a lot of pain. He goes upstairs to check on Destinee. He sees her moving around in her sleep. He sits next to the bed. He gently shakes her. She wakes up. She gasps. She is breathing heavily.

Castiel: It's alright, Destinee. I'm here.

Destinee starts to calm down. She holds his hand. He squeezes her hand.

Castiel: Just breathe. It's going to be alright.

Destinee takes deep breaths. She sighs in relief.

Destinee: It was another nightmare.

Castiel: I'm sorry.

Destinee: It's not your fault.

Castiel: I wish I could do more to help you.

Destinee: I know, but you're doing enough.

Castiel: Thank you.

Destinee smiles. Destinee picks up the heating pad.

Destinee: It's not hot anymore.

Castiel takes it from her.

Castiel: Does your side still hurt?

Destinee: No, it's better.

Castiel: Ok, good.

Castiel places the heating pad on the nightstand.

Castiel: Do you want me to put on the TV?

Destinee: Sure.

Castiel puts on the TV. He gives her the remote. Destinee puts on her favorite show. She lies down in bed.

Castiel: Dean feels bad for what he did to you.

Destinee frowns.

Destinee: Tough shit. I don't care.

Castiel sighs.

Destinee: Listen, angel, just because he says that doesn't mean I'm going to forgive him. He has to say it to my face.

Castiel: I understand.

Destinee sighs. Her red eyes show a look of concern. She holds his hand.

Destinee: Are you alright?

Castiel: Yeah, I'm fine. It just hurts to see you guys fighting. You're my friends.

Destinee looks surprised.

Destinee: I'm your friend?

Castiel: Of course you are.

Destinee: I've never had a real friend before.

Castiel: Well, then, I'm honored to be your first.

Destinee smiles. Castiel smiles slightly. They watch TV together. Destinee yawns.

Castiel: Do you want to sleep?

Destinee shudders and hugs herself.

Destinee: No, definitely not. I don't want to have another nightmare.

Destinee starts shaking. Castiel puts his arm around her.

Castiel: I won't let you have a nightmare.

Destinee: How would you do that?

Castiel: Trust me. I will keep you safe.

Destinee shakes.

Destinee: Ok, I trust you.

Destinee lies down. Castiel pulls the blankets over her. Destinee looks scared.

Destinee: I'm scared, Castiel.

Castiel: Don't be scared, I will handle it.

Destinee nods. She drifts off to sleep. Castiel puts his hand on her forehead. He uses his angelic powers to make her only have good dreams. His eyes glow blue for a second. He takes his hand off of her forehead. She sleeps peacefully.

Chapter 12: Chapter 11: Destinee's Childhood

Destinee is 6 years old. She lives in Hell. She has an older sister named Ruby. Her parents hate her. She is abused frequently. She has purple and black hair. She has bangs. She is in her room. She hopes her parents don't force her to do anything bad. Ruby walks into her room.

Ruby: Destinee, it's time to go on a hunt.

Destinee: Ruby, I don't want to go on a hunt.

Ruby: Well, you don't have much of a choice.

Destinee: Please, Ruby.

Ruby's eyes soften. She frowns and grabs Destinee by her arm.

Ruby: Come on, Mom and Dad will force you anyway.

Destinee whimpers. Ruby drags her out of the room. Their parents see her.

Mom: It's about time she came out of her room.

Ruby, let's go of Destinee.

Dad: Come on, it's time for our hunt.

Destinee looks worried. They go outside and into the woods. Destinee doesn't want to be out there. She is shivering slightly.

Ruby: What are we hunting?

Mom: A demon, of course. Dumbass.

Ruby looks down. Destinee looks at Ruby. She feels bad for her. They continue walking. Destinee is holding a knife. She doesn't know what to do with it. Her parents are skilled fighters. They are killed hundreds of demons. Her sister has killed 20 demons so far. Destinee has killed none, but she knows that will change. They see some demons talking to each other. Destinee and her family hide.

Dad: You better not fuck this up, Destinee.

Destinee sighs. Her parents and Ruby run towards the demons. They start fighting. Destinee watches them. She is too scared to follow. They are such good fighters, and she is a weak 6 year old. Her sister is only 3 years older than her. She is 9 years old. They kill all of the demons except for one. Her father holds the last demon.

Dad: Destinee, get your ass over here!

Destinee walks over to them.

Dad: Kill him.

Destinee: But-

Mom: You're a fucking demon. Act like one!

Destinee looks at Ruby. She nods. Destinee sighs. She takes out the knife. She walks over to the demon. The demon growls at her. Destinee looks scared. She raises the knife and stabs him repeatedly. She is covered in blood. Tears form in her eyes. Her lips quiver. Her father throws the demon to the floor.

Dad: You're not useless anymore.

Destinee looks down. They go back home.

Ruby: Good job, sis.

Destinee: You know I didn't want to do it.

Ruby: I know, but it will help you learn to defend yourself. This is a good thing.

Destinee: I guess.

Ruby smiles and walks away. Destinee goes to her room.

(Past, Destinee(7), Ruby(10)

Destinee is in her room reading a book. It's about angels and how righteous they are. She wishes she could be an angel. Maybe she would have a better life. Angels are perfect, kind, and holy. They never do anything wrong. She closes the book and brings it downstairs.

Destinee: Dad!

Dad: What do you want?

Destinee: I was reading this book about angels.

Dad: You were what?

Destinee: I was reading a book about angels.

Dad: You shouldn't be reading that.

Destinee: But, it says that angels are perfect and righteous.

Her father takes the book from her.

Dad: This book is a bunch of bull. Angels are not perfect or righteous. They are arrogant pieces of shit. You should not trust them.

Destinee: But, then why are they in Heaven?

Dad: Heaven is a big fat lie. They aren't any better than us. Now, stop talking about these stupid angels.

Her father throws the book into the fireplace. Destinee looks distraught. She tears up and runs into her room, crying.

(Past, Destinee(10), Ruby(13)

Destinee is walking through the streets of Hell. She has a knife in her pocket because her parents wanted her to have one. She has only ever killed one demon before. When she was 6. Someone sneaks up behind her. They grab her and pull her towards them. Destinee yelps in surprise.

Destinee: Let go of me.

The demon holds onto her. Destinee takes out her knife and stabs him in the hand. The demon yells out in pain. Destinee manages to get out of his grip. Destinee's eyes glow red. Her tail sways. The demon tries to grab her. Her tail pokes him in the side. He yelps and tries to grab her tail. Destinee stabs him with her knife. He falls onto the floor. Destinee wipes the blood off of her knife. She smiles. That felt nice. To finally be able to kill someone all by herself. She is shaking from adrenaline. She puts her knife away. She continues walking down the street. She remembers what her parents told her about angels. How they are just as bad as demons. They ate not to be trusted. Why aren't they in Hell if they are like them? Heaven must he corrupt. Her head starts hurting. She grabs her head. She groans. Ruby starts speaking to her.

Ruby: Destinee, are you there?

Destinee: What do you want, Ruby?

Ruby: You need to come home. Now.

Destinee: Why?

Ruby: The angels are coming to kill us.

Destinee: They're what?

Destinee looks up and sees a blast of light. She gets thrown back into a ditch. She is dizzy. She shakes her head. She sees the angels flying down. She tries to remain hidden. Her parents were right. The angels are evil creatures. They must be stopped. She pulls out her knife and runs out of the ditch. She runs after the angels.

Destinee: Hey, jerks!

They turn and look at her.

Gabriel: Kill her.

They attack her. She moves out of the way and stabs them. They groan in pain. Destinee kills all of the angels that are near her. She pulls their wings off. She did it. She killed those angels. They will think twice before coming back to kill her people. She goes home. Ruby sees her. She is covered in gold blood.

Ruby: Destinee, what happened?

Destinee: I killed the angels.

Ruby: All of them?

Destinee: Well, 20 of them.

Ruby smirks.

Ruby: Wow, I'm impressed, sister.

Destinee hums and goes upstairs.

Castiel is not in the room. She doesn't know what to do today. She is stuck in this bunker. She goes downstairs. Dean has a bunch of board games on the table.

Destinee: What are you doing?

Dean: Oh, hi Destinee. It's game night, so I'm picking out a game.

Destinee looks confused.

Destinee: Game night?

Dean: Yeah. Sam, Cas, and I always play board games every Friday. It's a lot of fun. You should join us.

Destinee: Maybe I will. What game are you picking?

Dean: We should play Uno. It's a simple game. It's the first game I had Cas play.

Destinee: Alright. Where's Castiel?

Dean: He's out getting the snacks.

Destinee nods. Dean puts the Uno cards on the living room table. Castiel arrives with the snacks. He puts them in the kitchen. Dean sets up the snacks and puts them on the table.

Dean: I wonder where Sam is.

Castiel: Does he not want to play?

Dean: Oh, he definitely wants to play. He loves game night.

Destinee sits on the couch next to the table.

Castiel: Oh, Destinee. Are you feeling better?

Destinee: Yeah.

Castiel: That's good.

Destinee smiles.

Dean: Ok, lovebirds, that's enough.

Castiel looks confused. Destinee looks annoyed. Sam comes into the room.

Dean: Finally, Sammy, we were waiting for you.

Sam: Sorry. I was doing some stuff.

Dean: What stuff?

Sam: It's not important.

Dean: Alright, let's get this game started.

They all sit around the table. Dean explains the rules to Destinee. She is ready. She wants to win this game. She is very competitive. Dean passes out 10 Uno cards to everyone. They start playing. Destinee puts the pick 4 card on Dean. Destinee laughs.

Destinee: Got you!

Dean rolls his eyes and picks up 4 cards. Castiel is enjoying the game. He doesn't care about winning. He is happy to be included. Dean places the Uno reverse card down. Destinee has to go again. The card is blue. She has no blue cards. She frowns and picks up a card. She keeps getting other cards, but no blue ones. She is getting mad. Dean is smiling. She finally picks up a blue card and places it down. She is angry.

Destinee: That was bullshit.

Dean: Karma's a bitch, bitch.

Destinee growls at him. Castiel looks at her. They continue playing. Destinee is getting more annoyed with Dean. He is targeting her on purpose. Dean puts a card down that makes her draw 4 more cards. Destinee draws the cards, but she has to pick up more to get a green card. Her eyes are glowing red. Dean notices. He smirks.

Dean: Oh, is the princess getting mad?

Castiel: Dean, stop. That's not nice.

Dean: She probably doesn't even know the feeling.

Castiel glares at him. Destinee is angry. Her eyes glow red, and her tail and fangs come out. She stands up.

Destinee: You should watch your tone, Dean.

Dean: Or what? You can't hurt me. I have an angel on my side.

Destinee growls. She starts to sit back down.

Dean: Aww, the little demon is too scared to stand up for herself.

Destinee growls. She tackles him. She hisses at him. Dean looks startled.

Dean: Get off of me!

Destinee: You're a dick!

Dean grabs the Colt from his pocket. He pushes Destinee off of him. They both stand up. Dean points the Colt at Destinee.

Dean: Step back!

Destinee: Are you really going to shoot me?

Castiel walks in front of them,

Castiel: Dean, stop this at once.

Dean: She attacked me.

Castiel: She attacked you because you provoked her. Now, put down the gun.

Dean doesn't move.

Castiel: Dean!

Dean puts down the gun. Destinee scoffs.

Destinee: That's what I thought.

Castiel: Destinee....

Destinee: Sorry.

Castiel: I think this is the end of game night.

Sam: Yeah.

Dean and Sam walk away. Destinee looks at Castiel.

Destinee: I'm sorry that I lashed out like that.

Castiel: It's not your fault. Dean can be an asshole sometimes.

Destinee: Try all the time.

Castiel snickers.

Castiel: Yeah, you're right.

Destinee: How do you stand him?

Castiel: I'm used to it, I guess. He never really appreciated my help. He would always come to me, but when I would ask him for help, he gave me a hard time. He blames me for the bad things in his life.

Castiel looks down. Destinee feels bad for him. She puts her hand on his shoulder.

Destinee: I'm sorry that he does that to you.

Castiel: It's alright. I shouldn't care. He's a human.

Destinee: That doesn't mean that your feelings aren't important.

Castiel: I know.

Destinee: You can talk to me if you need to.

Castiel: Thank you.

Destinee nods.

Chapter 14: Chapter 13: Mysterious Secrets

Summary:

Destinee finds out that Rebel knows something about her, and she doesn't know how she could know about it.

Chapter Text

Destinee is sitting in her room. Castiel is downstairs with Dean and Sam. She is bonding with Castiel more. She likes his company, but she wishes she could go back to work. She goes on her phone and opens up social media. She takes a picture of herself. She puts a description on the post.

Destinee: I am having a tough time, so I won't be going to work or posting for a while. I am so sorry.

Destinee posts the picture. She sees a message on her phone from Rebel. She opens up the message.

Rebel texting: I need to talk to you.

Destinee texting: Ok, let's talk.

Rebel texting: No, I need to talk to you in person.

Destinee texting: I told you I'm not able to go to work.

Rebel texting: Can you come to my house? It's an emergency.

Destinee sighs.

Destinee texting: I'll see what I can do.

Rebel texting: Thank you.

Destinee puts her phone away. She will have to convince the boys to let her leave. What the fuck does Rebel want? What is so important? She goes downstairs. Castiel sees her.

Castiel: Good morning, Destinee.

Destinee: Good morning.

Castiel: You look like you want to ask something.

Destinee: I do.

Castiel: What is it?

Destinee: My coworker said that she needs to talk to me. She wants me to go to her house.

Castiel: You know you shouldn't leave the bunker.

Destinee: I know, but I'll be back in 2 hours, I swear.

Castiel: Are you sure?

Destinee: Yes.

Castiel: Ok, be back in 2 hours. Dean will kill me if you're not back.

Destinee: Yes, I know.

Destinee leaves. Castiel sighs. He looks nervous. Destinee made sure to hide her demon attributes. She walks to Rebel's house. She knocks on the door. Rebel opens it.

Rebel: Destinee, I'm so happy you decided to come. Come in.

Destinee walks inside. Rebel closes the door.

Rebel: Sit.

Destinee sits on the couch.

Destinee: So, what did you want to tell me?

Rebel sits next to her.

Rebel: How are you doing?

Destinee: I'm still having a tough time.

Rebel stares at her. Destinee looks confused.

Destinee: What?

Rebel: I know that you're lying.

Destinee: What are you talking about?

Rebel: You're doing fine. There's a different reason why you left.

Destinee: Do tell.

Rebel: I know you're a demon.

Destinee's eyes become wide.

Destinee: How do you know that?

Rebel: I have my resources. I can't believe I never thought of that.

Destinee looks concerned.

Destinee: Is that why you called me here?

Rebel: That's one of the reasons. I wanted you to know that I'm helping your sister. We will send you back to Hell.

Destinee stands up.

Destinee: You will do no such thing, bitch.

Rebel stands up.

Rebel: Don't count on it.

Destinee growls.

Rebel: I will find where you are hiding.

Destinee: Good luck.

Rebel glares at her. Rebel takes out holy water and splashes it on Destinee. Destinee screams in pain and grabs her arm.

Destinee: You dick!

Rebel smirks.

Rebel: There's more where that came from.

Rebel pulls out a crucifix. Destinee feels sick. She runs out of the house. She runs away. She is holding onto her arm. Her arm is red. She is in a lot of pain from the demon repellent. She is breathing heavily. She can't believe that Rebel knows what she is. How did she figure it out? Her sister must have told Rebel. She hates her sister even more. She gets back to the bunker. She feels numb. She feels as though she is going to pass out. Castiel sees her. He rushes over to her.

Castiel: Destinee, what's wrong?

Destinee feels dizzy. She almost falls over. Castiel catches her and brings her over to the couch.

Destinee: Rebel knows that I'm a demon.

Castiel looks worried.

Castiel: How?

Destinee: I don't know.

Destinee groans from pain. Castiel puts his hand on her shoulder.

Castiel: What did she do to you?

Destinee: She threw Holy water on me. It got on my arm.

Castiel checks her arm. Her arm is red. Castiel sneers.

Castiel: That looks bad.

He touches it. Destinee winces. She whimpers.

Castiel: Sorry.

Castiel uses his magic to bandage it. He gives her ice. She holds the ice on it.

Castiel: So, she really knows that you're a demon?

Destinee: Yes, and I don't know how. She's a fucking human.

Castiel nods.

Castiel: Well, I'm happy you're not badly hurt.

Destinee smiles.

Destinee: I can't believe she was able to trick me.

Castiel: It's not your fault.

Destinee sighs.

Destinee: She also said that she is working with my sister.

Castiel: That's not good.

Destinee: Yeah, you think?

Castiel looks away.

Castiel: You don't have to be mean.

Destinee: I'm sorry, I'm just stressed out.

Castiel: I know, I understand.

Dean and Sam walk into the room.

Dean: I'm surprised you came back.

Destinee rolls her eyes. Sam notices the ice on her arm.

Sam: What happened to your arm?

Destinee: It was my coworker, Rebel. She knows I'm a demon. She put Holy Water on my arm.

Sam: Oh, I'm sorry.

Dean: Anything else?

Destinee glares at him.

Destinee: She's working with my sister.

Dean rolls his eyes.

Dean: This is bullshit.

Destinee: You think I'm happy about it?

Dean: Let me see your arm. I can fix it.

Destinee tries to stand up. She feels dizzy and sways. Castiel catches her.

Castiel: I think she needs to rest.

Dean: Whatever.

Castiel helps Destinee walk upstairs. He brings her to their room. He helps her get into bed. He puts the blankets over her.

Castiel: I'm sorry that she did this to you.

Destinee: It's alright.

Castiel rubs her shoulder. Destinee groans.

Destinee: It hurts. Castiel.

Castiel: I know, I know. It's going to be alright.

Castiel checks her arm. It is less red.

Castiel: The rash looks better.

Destinee: Ok, good.

Destinee yawns.

Castiel: You can take a nap if you want.

Destinee: Yeah. Can you leave me alone, please?

Castiel: Sure.

Castiel leaves. Destinee sighs. She can't believe Rebel knows about her being a demon. She was very careful with keeping it hidden from Rebel. She doesn't need to deal with this. Dealing with her sister was bd enough, but now Rebel? It's too much.

Chapter 15: Chapter 14: Demon Identity

Summary:

Destinee is trying to figure out how Rebel knows about her identity.

Chapter Text

Destinee is downstairs, sitting on the couch. She is trying to figure out how Rebel knows about her identity. She made sure to keep it a secret. How could she have found out? Why would Ruby go to her? Castiel sits next to her.

Castiel: What are you thinking about?

Destinee: I'm trying to figure out how Rebel found out that I'm a demon.

Castiel: I wish I could help, but I don't know.

Destinee: It's alright. I can figure it out.

Castiel: I will do anything I can to help you.

Destinee smiles.

Destinee: Thank you.

Castiel nods. He will do everything in his power to help Destinee.

Destinee: Can I ask you a favor?

Castiel: Of course.

Destinee: I know you don't like the cold, but can you go to the store and get me something?

Castiel: Sure. What do you need?

Destinee: A notebook, so I can write stuff down?

Castiel: Yes, I will get you a notebook.

Castiel leaves the bunker. He shivers. It is freezing outside. He teleports to the store and gets a notebook. He tries to teleport back to the bunker, but he finds himself in an alleyway. He shivers, and his teeth chatter from the cold. He wraps his arms around himself. He looks around and sees Rebel.

Castiel: Rebel? What are you doing here?

Rebel: I came to talk to you.

Rebel slaps him in the face. Castiel groans.

Castiel: What was that for?

Rebel: Why is Destinee living in the bunker?

Rebel crosses her arms.

Castiel: I didn't have a choice. But, you have taken this too far.

Rebel: What do you mean?

Castiel: I told you not to hurt her. You threw Holy Water at hee.

Rebel: I do what I want, Castiel.

Castiel rolls his eyes.

Rebel: Besides, you're the one who wanted to send her back to Hell.

Castiel: That was before I found out how nice she was.

Rebel: Doesn't matter. We are continuing this.

Castiel: Fine, but if you hurt her, I will destroy you.

Rebel: Whatever.

Rebel leaves. Castiel shivers. He sighs. What did he get himself into? He walks back to the bunker. His teeth chatter. He goes inside the bunker. He goes over to Destinee.

Castiel: Here's your notebook.

Destinee takes it from him.

Destinee: Thanks. Are you alright? You seem a bit shaken.

Castiel: I'm fine.

Destinee: Ok. Let me know if you want to talk.

Castiel: Of course.

Destinee goes upstairs. Castiel sits on the couch. He sighs. He hates that he is lying to her. Yes, he did want to send her back to Hell, but he didn't know who she was. He didn't know that she was a nice person. He thought all demons were evil. And now, he can't turn back. Rebel and Ruby won't let him back down. Why did he think working with a demon would be a good idea? He is so stupid. He rubs his temples. His head is aching. He doesn't know when Rebel or Ruby will be back, but he will be ready for them. He will protect Destinee, no matter what. He can't let her figure out that he was a part of it. That he wanted to send her to Hell, and he was working with Rebel and Ruby. He hears a knock at the door. He answers it. He sees Rebel and gasps. He steps outside and closes the door behind himself.

Castiel: What are you doing here?

Rebel: I'm not going to let you protect her forever.

Castiel: How do you plan on stopping me?

Rebel: I have my ways. Ruby is not happy with you.

Castiel: I can see that.

Rebel glares at him with her piercing red eyes.

Rebel: She is going to end you.

Castiel: She can't end me. She doesn't have an angel blade.

Rebel: She will, and I'm going to help her.

Castiel stares at her.

Castiel: Why would you do that?

Rebel: You've grown soft. You're falling for these demon sluts.

Castiel glares at her.

Castiel: Destinee is not a slut.

Rebel chuckles.

Rebel: Keep telling yourself that.

Castiel is angry.

Castiel: Get out of here.

Rebel: Fine, but we will be back.

Rebel walks away. Castiel goes back inside the bunker. He can't believe this is happening. Destinee comes downstairs. She looks at him.

Destinee: What are you doing, Cas?

Castiel: I'm just thinking.

Destinee: Oh.

Castiel: Any leads on how Rebel knows about your identity?

Destinee: Well, I think she's working with an angel.

Castiel looks worried.

Castiel: An angel? One of my brothers?

Destinee: I'm afraid so. But I can't figure out which one. They are very good at hiding.

Castiel nods. He is trying to hide his nerves. She can't figure it out. She can't. She would never forgive him.

Destinee: Also, I don't have a job anymore.

Castiel: What do you mean?

Destinee: Rebel told my boss that I lied, and he fired me.

Castiel: I'm sorry. I know you loved that job.

Destinee: It's not like I would be able to go back.

Castiel: Yeah.

Destinee: I don't need that place anymore. I have you.

Castiel smiles slightly. Destinee smiles back. Castiel feels even worse for lying to her. She sees him as an ally, and he is basically playing her. He may not want to, but it must be done. She can never know that he is working with Rebel and Ruby, even if he doesn't want to.

Destinee looks concerned. She puts her hand on his shoulder.

Destinee: Are you sure you're alright, Cas? You seem out of it.

Castiel blinks.

Castiel: Yeah, I'm fine. It's been a long day.

Destinee: Yeah, you're right.

Castiel nods. Destinee holds his hand.

Destinee: I will never leave you.

Destinee squeezes his hand and goes upstairs. Castiel tears up. He is being such a bad friend. She is a demon opening up to him, an angel, and he is keeping some serious stuff from her. She will hate him forever if she finds out. He has ruined everything for her, and there is nothing he can do about it. It's all his fault. He has to fix this. Whatever it takes to save Destinee and his friends.

Chapter 16: Chapter 15: Demon Hunt

Summary:

Dean, Sam, Castiel, and Destinee are going on a demon hunt to stop a random demon. It is in a cold location. Castiel is freezing. Ruby shows up to make their situation worse.

Chapter Text

Castiel, Destinee, Sam, and Dean are getting ready to go on a demon hunt. Destinee has never been on a hunt before. It is in the woods. Castiel is nervous. He doesn't want to be out in the cold.

Dean: Destinee, are you able to fight?

Destinee: Yes, of course I can.

Dean: Ok, just making sure.

Destinee rolls her eyes.

Castiel: She can protect herself.

Destinee smiles at him.

Dean: Stop flirting with her, Cas.

Castiel looks confused. Destinee sighs and rolls her eyes.

Dean: I think we should go now.

They all nod and leave the bunker. Castiel pulls his trench coat tightly around himself. His teeth are chattering. He despises the cold. They walk into the woods. Dean takes out his weapon. Destinee's red eyes, fangs, and tail are showing. She is ready to fight any demon that shows up. She doesn't scare easily. She is a demon, after all. Castiel is trying to stay warm. Destinee is worried about him. He seems to get cold easily. Must be an angel thing. He must not be used to the cold. Destinee is from Hell, so she is naturally warm. Dean sees something moving in the woods. He quickly stops and shushes everyone.

Sam: What's wrong?

Dean: I saw something moving in the trees.

They look for any sign of movement. Castiel is still shivering. The demon walks out from behind the tree. It has glowing red eyes. It stares at them. Destinee pulls out her knife. Castiel pulls out his angel blade. The demon runs at Destinee and tackles her to the ground. Dean, Sam, and Castiel try to stop the demon, but he blasts them back. The demon holds Destinee to the ground. Destinee struggles.

Destinee: Get off of me.

Demon: No. You betrayed us.

Destinee: What are you talking about?

Demon: You're friends with an angel.

Destinee looks worried. Castiel pushes the demon off of Destinee. He helps her up. The demon groans and stands up.

Destinee: Are you working with Ruby?

Demon: No, I would never work with your sister. I am doing this all on my own. You will regret leaving.

Destinee: I doubt that.

Dean pulls out the Colt. He goes to shoot the demon, but the Colt gets thrown out of his hand.

Dean: What the hell was that?

They hear someone laughing. Ruby appears. Destinee frowns. Castiel looks anxious.

Ruby: Get out of here.

Demon: You don't tell me what to do.

Ruby looks at him.

Ruby: Get out of here, now.

Demon: Fine.

The demon disappears. Ruby looks at the others. Dean looks pissed.

Dean: Hey, we were trying to kill him.

Ruby: Too bad.

Destinee: Why are you doing this, Ruby? You don't have to listen to our parents.

Ruby: This isn't for them. I want you to come back.

Destinee: I'm sorry, sister. I'm never coming back.

Ruby growls. Her eyes glow.

Ruby: You're a bitch.

Destinee looks down. Castiel wants to say something, but he knows he can't. He can't blow his cover. Dean picks up the Colt and tries to shoot her. Ruby uses her powers to take it from him. She throws it behind her. She grabs his collar. Dean struggles. Sam, Castiel, and Destinee try to save him. Ruby puts her hand up.

Ruby: Come any closer, and he dies.

Destinee: Sister, please don't do this.

Ruby: I thought you hated this dick.

Destinee: That doesn't mean you can kill him.

Ruby rolls her eyes. Castiel's hands are in fists. His fists are glowing white. He uses his powers to stop Ruby from holding Dean. Dean falls onto the ground. Sam helps Dean up. Ruby groans. Destinee grabs the Colt. She points it at Ruby. Ruby chuckles.

Ruby: Oh, Destinee, you would kill your own sister?

Destinee: I will if I have to.

Ruby smirks. She disappears and appears behind Destinee. She hits her on the back. Destinee falls to the ground. She groans. Ruby kneels down and holds her on the ground. She holds her hand up, and her claws come out. Castiel goes to stop her. Ruby looks at him and glares at him. Castiel looks hesitant. He stops in his tracks. Ruby grins and looks at Destinee. She scratches Destinee with her claws. Destinee screams in pain. Castiel looks worried. He grabs Ruby and pulls her off Destinee. He throws her onto the ground. Destinee is in pain. Casitel kneels down next to Destinee. Dean looks at Ruby.

Dean: Leave us alone.

Ruby: You humans are so gullible.

Dean: Really?

Sam appears behind Ruby. He stabs her with an angelic blade. Ruby screams in pain. She pushes Sam back. She is bleeding. She pulls the blade out of her back. She disappears.

Dean: Fucking demons.

They go over to Destinee. Ruby's scratch is burning.

Destinee: It burns.

Castiel: I know, you're going to be alright. I got you.

Castiel picks her up and carries her. He is still shivering, but he ignores it. Destinee is more important. He can't believe he let Ruby do that. He stood there while she hurt Destinee. He did that to save himself, not her. They go back to the bunker. Castiel carries Destinee to their room. He puts her into bed. He covers her with blankets. He cleans the wound and puts cream over it. He puts a bandage over it.

Castiel: How does that feel?

Destinee: Better.

Castiel: I'm sorry I couldn't stop her.

Destinee: It's alright. It's not your fault.

Castiel sighs. If only she knew that it was his fault. Everything is his fault.

-

Ruby and Rebel are in their hideout. Rebel is stitching Ruby's wound. Ruby winces.

Ruby: Oww.

Rebel: Sorry. You're done.

Ruby: Thank you.

Rebel nods.

Ruby: We can not let Castiel get away with this.

Rebel: Right.

Ruby: We have to let Destinee find out that her angel friend has been working with us the entire time. That will surely ruin their friendship.

Rebel: Yes, that's a perfect idea.

Ruby smiles. Rebel smiles back.

Rebel: Did you really have a good relationship with your sister?

Ruby sighs.

Ruby: Yes, I did. We loved each other. We would go on hunts together. We killed demons together. We had so much fun. But, then she grew soft and left to come to this shit show.

Rebel: How did you feel?

Ruby: I felt terrible. I thought she loved me. That I was enough for her. But, apparently, humans and freedom are more important to her.

Rebel feels bad for her. She wants to hug Ruby, but she thinks otherwise. She doesn't know how demons would take hugs.

Rebel: I'm sorry.

Ruby sighs.

Chapter 17: Chapter 16: Lies Exposed

Summary:

Ruby and Rebel are going to expose Castiel in front of all of his friends. It doesn’t end well. Destinee’s feelings get hurt.

Chapter Text

Castiel is sitting on the bed while Destinee is sleeping, and he doesn't know what to do. He knows that Ruby and Rebel will expose him. It's bound to happen at any moment. He knows Destinee will be mad at him. That she will hate him forever. He knows he shouldn't care about how a demon feels about him, but he does. She is his friend, and he cares about her. He may be emotionless most of the time, but he doesn't want to lose her. He sees that Destinee is waking up. She rubs her eyes.

Castiel: Good morning, Destinee.

Destinee smiles.

Destinee: Good morning, Cas.

Castiel: How are you feeling?

Destinee: I'm better. It doesn't hurt as much.

Castiel: That's good. I'm happy you're feeling better.

Destinee: Thanks.

Destinee rubs her chest. She sighs.

Destinee: I don't understand why Rebel wants to send me back to Hell. Why would she care?

Castiel: I don't know.

Destinee: I can't believe I ever trusted her.

Castiel: Hey, you couldn't have known. It's not your fault.

Destinee: I guess you're right.

Castiel: Let's go downstairs.

Destinee: Alright.

Castiel and Destinee go downstairs. They sit on the couch together. Destinee winces.

Castiel: Do you want me to get you some ice?

Destinee: Yes, please.

Castiel nods. He goes into the kitchen and grabs some ice. He puts it in a washcloth. He brings it over to Destinee. She takes it from him and puts it on her chest. She sighs in relief.

Destinee: That's better.

Castiel sits down next to her. He smiles slightly.

Castiel: Good.

Castiel rubs her back. Destinee leans into his gentle touch.

Destinee: I'm happy that we're friends.

Castiel looks away. He feels terrible for lying to her. Destinee looks concerned.

Destinee: Are you alright, Cas?

Castiel: Yeah, I'm alright. Don't worry about me.

Destinee nods and smiles at him. Castiel looks nervous. He grits his teeth to hide their chattering. His teeth chatter when he is nervous. He takes a deep breath.

Destinee: Ruby will regret ever hurting me.

Castiel nods.

-

Ruby and Rebel are getting ready to go to the bunker. They will destroy Castiel's reputation. Rebel is watching Ruby. She is blushing. Ruby is very beautiful.

Ruby: I can't wait to see the look on Castiel's face when we expose him.

Rebel smiles.

Rebel: Me too. I never liked him, anyway.

Ruby: Me neither. Angels are dicks.

Rebel: You're not wrong.

Ruby grabs her angel blade. Rebel grabs her knife. They teleport outside of the bunker. Ruby goes to kick the door down. Rebel grabs her arm.

Ruby: What?

Rebel: I don't think that's a good idea. We need to have the element of surprise.

Ruby: Right. That's a better idea.

Ruby moves away from the door. She opens a portal with her powers. She goes inside of it and disappears. Rebel stays outside. Ruby appears behind the couch. She hides. She quietly pulls out her angel blade. She tries to stab Destinee with it. Destinee moves out of the way and yelps. Ruby growls and stands up. Destinee glares at her.

Destinee: What the fuck?!

Ruby swings the blade at her. Destinee stands up and backs away. Castiel stands up as well.

Castiel: Get out of here, Ruby.

Ruby: No.

Destinee: Where is Rebel?

Ruby: That is none of your concern.

Dean and Sam come downstairs. Dean frowns.

Dean: It's you.

Ruby smiles.

Ruby: Hey, Dean, Sam.

Dean: What do you want now?

Ruby: I wanted to tell you something about your friend, Cas.

Castiel looks nervous. He begins to sweat. Dean looks confused.

Dean: What about Cas?

Ruby: Oh, it's not a big deal.

Castiel: Ruby, you have no idea what you're talking about.

Ruby: Oh, really, Castiel?

Castiel glares at her. Ruby chuckles. Destinee runs at Ruby. Ruby pushes her out of the way. She falls to the ground. Ruby laughs. Dean and Sam try to stab her, but Ruby freezes them in place with her powers. Castiel is staring at Ruby.

Ruby: You should have none it would come to this.

Destinee looks worried.

Destinee: What is she talking about, Cas?

Castiel doesn't know what to say. He feels like running, but he knows that's the cowards way out.

Ruby: Castiel has been keeping something from you all.

Dean: Keeping what?

Ruby: Would you like to tell them or should I?

Castiel looks down.

Ruby: Fine, I'll tell them.

Ruby looks at them.

Ruby: Castiel has been working with me and Rebel since the beginning.

They all gasp.

Destinee: Cas, is this true?

Castiel: Yes.

Destinee looks sad. Dean looks mad.

Dean: You've been working with a fucking demon?!

Castiel nods.

Dean: Why?!

Castiel: You guys wanted to get rid of Destinee. We all did, and Ruby and Rebel wanted to do the same. I didn't know Destinee was this nice.

Dean: It doesn't make a difference.

Castiel sighs. Ruby smiles and disappears. Castiel walks over to them.

Castiel: Destinee, please.

Castiel goes to put his hand on her shoulder. Destinee moves out of the way. She stands up. Her eyes turn red, and her fangs come out.

Destinee: Don't touch me. You lied to me, Castiel.

Castiel: I'm sorry. I didn't know you were so kind.

Destinee tears up and looks away. Dean and Sam stand up.

Dean: Get out of here, Cas.

Castiel: But -

Dean: Get out of here!

Castiel looks at Sam.

Castiel: Sam?

Sam sighs and looks at the floor.

Sam: I'm sorry, Cas.

Castiel sighs and teleports away. Tears come down Destinee's cheeks. Sam goes over to Castiel and hugs her. He rubs her back.

Sam: I'm so sorry, Destinee.

Destinee: I trusted him.

Sam: I know.

Dean: We all did.

-

Castiel teleports outside of the bunker. He sees Rebel. He frowns and walks over to her.

Castiel: You will regret this.

Rebel tilts her head.

Rebel: Really?

Castiel: Yes.

Rebel chuckles.

Rebel: You are funny. You are all alone now. A lonely little angel. You we we always weak.

Castiel glares at her. Rebel smirks and walks away. Castiel watches her. He is broken. He doesn't know what to do. He has lost all of his friends. He lost Destinee, the one person he didn't want to lose. He has nowhere to go. He is shivering from the bitter cold.

-

Destinee is in her room. She is angry and sad. She can't believe Castiel was working with Rebel and Ruby the whole time. She trusted him with her feelings and secrets. Her fangs come out, and she hisses. She is too upset to want to get revenge on him. She should have never trusted that angel. Angels are not to be trusted. She will never make the same mistake twice.

Chapter 18: Chapter 17: Broken Trust

Summary:

Destinee is still distraught after finding out that Castiel was working with Ruby and Rebel the whole time. Sam tries to convince her that he had good intentions. Sam goes to talk with Castiel because he trusts him. They all thought that Destinee was bad. They all wanted to get rid of her.

Chapter Text

Destinee is sitting on her bed. She is thinking about what happened. How Castiel betrayed her. She trusted him, and he was working against her the whole time. She thought they were close. She pulls her knees up to her chest. She hears a knock at her door. She looks up.

Destinee: Come in.

Sam walks inside. He closes the door.

Sam: How are you holding up?

Destinee: Terrible.

Sam sits next to her on the bed.

Sam: I'm sorry. I know you cared about him.

Destinee: Yeah, I did. I thought we were close.

Sam puts his hand on her shoulder.

Sam: I know you don't trust him, but I think he had good intentions.

Destinee: Why would you think that? He wanted to send me back to Hell.

Sam: To be honest, we all did. He was probably trying to help us. None of us knew how nice you were.

Destinee looks away.

Destinee: Well, he could have told me.

Sam: You're right. You should at least talk to him about it.

Destinee's eyes turn red. She growls.

Destinee: No, I don't want to talk to him.

Sam: Ok, ok, you don't have to right now.

Destinee: Can you leave me alone?

Sam: Of course.

Sam leaves the room. He decides that he is going to talk to Castiel. He walks around. He stands in an alleyway.

Sam: Castiel, please show yourself. I want to speak with you.

Castiel appears in front of him. He shivers.

Castiel: Hello, Sam.

Sam: Hey, Cas.

Castiel: I'm sorry I betrayed you guys.

Sam: I'm not the one who is mad. Destinee feels betrayed by you. She thought that she meant something to you.

Castiel: She does mean something to me. We all wanted to get rid of her.

Sam: I know, but you didn't have to make a deal with a demon of all beings.

Castiel: I know, it was a mistake.

Sam: She needs time to think about it.

Castiel nods.

Castiel: What about Dean?

Sam: He's angry, but not as much as Destinee.

Castiel wrings his fingers together. He looks stressed. Sam looks worried.

Sam: Cas, are you alright?

Castiel: Yeah, I'm fine.

Sam walks over to him and puts his hand on his shoulder.

Sam: Cas, you're shaking.

Castiel takes a deep breath. He looks like he is going to cry.

Sam: Oh, Cas.

Castiel starts to cry.

Sam: Come here.

Sam pulls him into a hug. Castiel holds onto him. He is shaking. Sam rubs his back.

Sam: You're going to be alright. Everything will get fixed.

Castiel chokes on a sob.

Castiel: How do you know that?

Sam: I just do. My brother and I have fights all the time, and we always make up.

Castiel shudders. Sam strokes his hair. Castiel tries to calm himself down. He hates that he feels this way. He has never cried before. These emotions are new to him. Sam is worried about him. He pulls Castiel back to look at him. His eyes are red from crying. He is still shaking.

Sam: How about I bring you back to the bunker?

Castiel: No, I can't. They won't want me to be there.

Castiel hugs himself and shakes. Sam nods.

Sam: Ok, that's fine. I don't want to stress you out. But, do you have a place to go?

Castiel: Not really.

Castiel's teeth chatter. Sam notices that his lips are blue. He puts his hand on Castiel's cheek.

Sam: You're freezing, Cas.

Castiel: I know.

Sam: Here, I'll help you find a place to stay.

Castiel: Are you sure?

Sam: Yes, of course.

Sam takes Castiel's arm and takes him to an apartment. He pays for him. They walk into the apartment.

Castiel: Thank you, Sam. You didn't have to do this.

Sam: I know, but I wanted to.

Castiel smiles slightly.

Sam: I'll see you around. We need to give Destinee some time to cool down.

Castiel nods.

Sam: Take care of yourself.

Castiel: You, too.

Sam smiles. He leaves the apartment. Castiel sits down on the bed. He feels terrible for what he did. It was wrong of him to betray his friends like that.

-

Sam is walking back to the bunker. He hopes that Destinee and Dean forgive Castiel. What Castiel did was wrong, but in all fairness, they were all trying to get rid of Destinee. Castiel took it too far, though. He gets back to the bunker. He goes inside. Dean sees him.

Dean: Where were you?

Sam: I went for a walk.

Dean: That's nice.

Sam: How is Destinee doing?

Dean: She's still very upset. I...heard her crying.

Sam looks sad.

Sam: Poor girl.

Dean: I can't believe I feel bad for that demon.

Sam frowns.

Sam: Hey, she isn't just a demon. She's a friend.

Dean: I know, but still. We're supposed to hunt demons.

Sam: Yeah. Let's go talk to her.

Dean nods. They go up to Destinee's room. They knock on the door.

Destinee: Who is it?

Dean: It's me and Sam.

Destinee: Come in.

They walk inside and close the door. They sit on the bed next to her.

Destinee: What do you want?

Dean: We wanted to check on you.

Destinee looks down.

Destinee: I don't know why I feel so sad. He was just an angel. I'm supposed to hate those beings.

Dean: Yeah, well, you didn't. You have a right to be upset.

Destinee nods. She starts to cry. Sam pulls her into his arms. Destinee cries into his chest. Dean rubs her back.

Sam: We're here to help you.

Destinee sniffles.

Destinee: Thank you. I want to forgive Castiel, but it's hard.

Dean: We understand. You can forgive him when you're ready.

Destinee nods. She blows her nose.

Destinee: Where is Castiel now?

Sam: I saw him while I was walking.

Dean: Really?

Sam: Yeah. He feels bad for what he did. He was cold and didn't have a place to stay. So, I bought an apartment for him.

Destinee: That was nice.

Sam: He said he's ready for when you want to talk.

Destinee: I'll let you know.

Sam nods. He rubs her back.

Sam: Are you alright?

Destinee: Yeah.

Destinee pulls away, She wipes away her tears. She sniffles.

Destinee: I'm not used to these emotions.

Dean: You sound like Cas.

Destinee chuckles.

Destinee: I miss him very much. Even if I'm angry with him.

Dean: That's understandable. Sam and I are the same way.

Sam smiles. Dean smiles back.

Destinee: At least you guys have a good bond. Ruby and I are no longer sisters in our eyes.

Dean and Sam look sad.

Sam: We're sorry about that.

Destinee: It's alright. It's not your fault.

Sam: We're here if you ever want to talk.

Destinee: Thank you.

Sam and Dean nod. They leave her room. Destinee sits on her bed and thinks about Castiel.

Chapter 19: Chapter 18: The Talk

Summary:

Destinee decides to talk to Castiel. She summons him and they talk. Castiel tries to explain himself, but Destinee gets mad at him. Destinee has still not forgiven him.

Chapter Text

Destinee wakes up the next morning. She gets dressed. She decides that she is going to talk to Castiel. She doesn't want to hate him forever. She sees him as a friend. She goes downstairs. Sam sees her.

Sam: Good morning, Destinee.

Destinee: Good morning, Sam.

Sam: Where are you going?

Destinee: I'm going to talk to Castiel.

Sam: Oh, I hope it goes well.

Destinee: Thank you. Can you give me the address of the apartment?

Sam: Sure.

Sam gives her the address. Destinee leaves the bunker. He walks around, looking for the address. She finds the apartment. She takes a deep breath and knocks on the door. Castiel opens the door. He looks down when he sees her. Destinee crosses her arms.

Destinee: Hello, Castiel.

Castiel: Hi, Destinee.

Destinee: Can I come in?

Castiel nods. He steps to the side. Destinee walks inside. Castiel closes the door. He is nervous. How is this going to go? Destinee sits on the couch. Castiel wrings his fingers together. Destinee stares at him.

Destinee: I'm letting you explain yourself.

Castiel: Destinee, I didn't know you were so nice. Besides, Dean and Sam wanted to get rid of you as well. I was just trying to help them. I wouldn't have done it otherwise.

Destinee: Castiel, that's not an excuse. I trusted you. I thought you were my friend.

Castiel: I am your friend. I made a mistake and I'm sorry.

Destinee shakes her head. She looks away. Castiel walks over and tries to put his hand on her shoulder. Destunee moves away.

Destinee: Don't touch me.

Castiel backs away.

Castiel: I'm sorry.

Castiel is trying to keep his shaking under control. He knows she won't pity him like Sam did. He ruined their friendship; he is sure of it.

Destinee looks sad.

Destinee: Do you want to know the worst part about this?

Castiel: What?

Destinee: I wouldn't have been so upset about this if you weren't working with my sister and Rebel.

Castiel nods.

Castiel: I understand.

Destinee: How am I supposed to trust you now?

Castiel: I don't know. I'm not trying to make excuses, Destinee.

Destinee scoffs.

Destinee: That's funny. Most angels love to make excuses. They think they are incapable of making mistakes.

Castiel: I don't think that. I know that I make mistakes.

Destinee sighs.

Destinee: I hate that I'm mad at you. I don't want to feel this way.

Castiel nods. He feels bad for her. Destinee tears up.

Destinee: I can't forgive you for this right now.

Castiel: I'll be here when you want to see me again.

Destinee nods. She walks out of the apartment. Castiel sits down and sighs. He sniffles. He wipes his tears away. He can't believe he let this come to pass. A portal opens in the room. Ruby and Rebel step out of it. Castiel gasps. He quickly stands up.

Castiel: What do you guys want?

Ruby: Why are you so angry?

Castiel: You ruined my life.

Ruby: You ruined your own life. You decided to work with us.

Castiel growls.

Rebel: It was inevitable that this would happen.

Castiel: You guys will pay for this.

Ruby: Yeah, that's not happening. You're too weak to stop us.

Castiel's eyes glow.

Castiel: I am not weak.

Ruby chuckles.

Ruby: I hate angels.

Castiel: Then why did you let me work with you?

Ruby: I wanted to bring my sister back. That's the only reason.

Castiel nods. He lunges at her. He stabs her with his angel blade. Ruby screams in pain. Rebel becomes protective. She pushes Castiel back.

Rebel: Get away from her!

Rebel kneels down in front of Ruby. She touches the wound. Ruby is sweating.

Rebel: You're going to be alright.

Ruby breathes heavily.

Castiel: Stay away from me and my friends.

Rebel scowls at him.

Rebel: This isn't over, jerk.

Rebel helps Ruby walk through the portal. The portal disappears. Rebel puts Ruby onto the bed. She wraps bandages around her wound. She puts a blanket over Ruby. She is shivering slightly.

Rebel: I will take care of you.

Ruby: Thank you, Rebel.

Rebel smiles. She stays by her side. Ruby ends up falling asleep. Rebel holds Ruby's hand. Castiel will regret ever hurting Ruby.

-

Destinee arrives back at the bunker. She is angry. She walks inside. Sam sees her.

Sam: What happened?

Destinee: Castiel makes terrible excuses.

Sam: Yeah, that sounds like him. So, you didn't make up?

Destinee crosses her arms.

Destinee: No, of course not.

Sam: I'm sorry.

Destinee: I need more time.

Sam nods.

Sam: Do you want a hug?

Destinee looks at him. She slowly nods. Sam hugs her. She hugs back. Sam rubs her back.

Sam: It's going to be alright.

Destinee: Do you think I was too hard on him?

Sam: No, Cas has trouble with responsibility. He definitely needed to hear what you had to say. It will help him in the long run.

Destinee nods and sniffles.

Destinee: Thank you.

Sam smiles.

Sam: Of course.

Destinee goes upstairs. She sits on her bed. She is very upset. She feels bad, but she can't trust Castiel right now. He lied to her. She doesn't know what to do, but she needs to think about what happened.

Chapter 20: Chapter 19: Revenge Plan

Summary:

Rebel is taking care of Ruby. Rebel and Ruby plot to get revenge on Castiel.

Chapter Text

Rebel is watching Ruby while she is asleep. Ruby is shivering in her sleep. Rebel puts another blanket over her. She blushes. She will get revenge on Castiel for what he did. Ruby starts to wake up.

Ruby: Rebel?

Rebel: Yes, it's me, Ruby.

Ruby shivers. Her teeth chatter. She pulls the blankets tighter around herself.

Ruby: I'm cold.

Rebel: I know.

Rebel rubs her shoulder.

Rebel: How's the wound?

Ruby: It doesn't hurt as much.

Rebel: That's good.

Ruby sighs. She shudders.

Ruby: Did you think of a way we could tey back at Castiel?

Rebel: We could kidnap Destinee.

Ruby: Kidnap, my sister? That's a great idea.

Rebel: You should rest first. You are still injured.

Ruby: Yeah, and freezing.

Ruby's teeth chatter. Rebel wishes she could do more to help Ruby.

Ruby: Are you alright?

Rebel: Yeah, I'm fine.

Ruby looks worried. Rebel looks away. Ruby sighs. She doesn't want to stress Rebel out.

Ruby: Don't worry about me, Rebel. I'll be fine.

Rebel nods.

Ruby falls asleep again. Rebel goes into the kitchen. She is worried about Ruby. Castiel hurt her badly. Rebel is going to kidnap Destinee on her own. For Ruby's honor. She goes back into the living room. She kisses Ruby on the forehead. She leaves and goes to the bunker. She goes inside. She can sense that Dean and Sam are not there. Destinee is all alone, unaware of her presence. She walks upstairs, quietly. She needs the element of surprise. She goes to Destinee's room. She opens the door and sees that she is not in there. She is confused.

Destinee: Looking for me?

Rebel gasps and turns around. Destinee hits her. Rebel stumbles back. Rebel growls. Destinee goes to hit her again. Rebel trips her. Destinee falls onto the ground. Rebel punches her in the face. Destinee groans. Rebel knocks her out. She picks her up and takes her to the hideout. She ties up Destinee on a cross, very fitting. She puts a demon blade on the table. It's a shame Ruby won't be able to join her. She is still very weak. She waits for Destinee to wake up. Destinee's eyes open slowly. She realizes that she is tied up. She struggles. Rebel chuckles.

Rebel: I wouldn't tire yourself out, Destinee. You aren't getting out of here anytime soon.

Destinee glares at Rebel.

Destinee: What do you want from me?

Rebel: Oh, I don't want anything from me. This is all revenge on Castiel.

Destinee gasps.

Destinee: Castiel?

Rebel: Yes. He hurt Ruby!

Destinee: Why?

Rebel: Well, we attacked him, but that's not the point.

Destinee rolls her eyes.

Rebel: Hurting you will make him feel regret.

Destinee looks worried. Rebel picks up the demon blade.

Destinee: Don't do this.

Rebel: Oh, Destinee, I've been waiting for this.

Rebel slices Destinee's chest. Destinee screams in pain. Rebel smirks. She stabs her. Destinee is sweating from the pain. She has tears in her eyes.

Rebel: I revel in your screams of pain.

Destinee winces. This girl is crazy. Rebel punches her in the face. Destinee groans from pain. She is breathing heavily. She feels like she won't make it out of this. She regrets being so nasty to Castiel. She should have listened to him more.

-

Dean and Sam get back to the bunker. They are worried about Destinee. She had a bad time with Castiel.

Sam: Destinee, we're back!

They don't hear a response. Dean and Sam look at each other.

Dean: Destinee!?

They run upstairs. They see blood on the floor. They gasp. They open the door and see that Destinee is gone.

Dean: They must have taken her.

Sam: We need to call Cas, Dean.

Dean sighs.

Dean: Ok, you're right.

Sam: Castiel, we need you here now. Rebel and Ruby took Destinee.

Castiel appears in front of them.

Castiel: They took Destinee?!

Sam: Yes, that's why-

Castiel teleports them to Ruby and Rebel's hideout. Dean feels dizzy. He keeps down the nausea.

Dean: A warning would have been nice.

Castiel: Come on, we have to save her.

They go inside the hideout. They see Ruby asleep on the couch.

Castiel: Rebel is working alone.

They look for Destinee or Rebel. They find Destinee tied up in a room. She is bleeding and sweating. Castiel goes to untie her, but Sam holds her back.

Sam: Wait, Cas. This might be a trap.

Castiel: But, she's hurt.

Sam: I know, we will help her.

Rebel appears out of the shadows.

Rebel: I doubt that.

Castiel frowns.

Castiel: Let her go.

Rebel: I don't think I'm going to do that.

Dean: You won't get away with this.

Rebel chuckles. She goes over to Destinee and stabs her. Destinee groans.

Castiel: Stop it!

Castiel lets out a blast of light. Dean and Sam close their eyes. Rebel recoils in pain. Castiel rushes over and hits her. Rebel falls to the ground. Castiel points his knife at her.

Rebel: I hate you.

Castiel: The feeling is mutual.

Rebel rushes out of the room. Castiel goes over to Destine and unties her. He picks her up. He carries her. Destinee whimpers in pain.

Castiel: I know, I know. I'm sorry. It's going to be alright.

Destinee clings to him. Castiel blushes. He is very worried about her.

Dean: Come on, we've got to get her out of here.

Castiel nods. They leave the hideout and go to the bunker. Castiel shivers from the cold, but ignores it. Dean looks at him.

Dean: You cold, Cas?

Castiel: It doesn't matter. Destinee is all I care about.

Dean nods. They go inside the bunker. Destinee is asleep. Castiel gently puts her on the couch. He takes off his trench coat and puts it around her. He bandages her wounds. He tears up.

Castiel: I should never have let her leave.

Dean: Don't blame yourself. There's nothing you could have done.

Castiel sighs. He sits on the couch. He strokes her hair. He shivers and his teeth chatter. Dean frowns. He grabs a blanket and wraps it around him. Castiel shudders.

Castiel: Thank you.

Dean: You're welcome.

Dean and Sam leave the room. Castiel looks at Destinee. This is all his fault. Destinee wakes up. She groans. She sees Castiel.

Destinee: Cas?

Castiel: Yes, it's me.

Destinee: Rebel hurt me.

Castiel: I know, but you're safe now.

Destinee: I'm sorry for what I said to you.

Castiel: Don't worry, it's forgotten.

Destinee nods. She notices that his trench coat is wrapped around her.

Destinee: Take your coat back.

Castiel: No, you need it.

Destinee: No, I'm fine. You're shivering like a leaf.

Castiel: Fine.

Castiel takes his coat back and puts it on. He frowns.

Castiel: I'm going to kill Rebel.

Destinee: I'll help you with that.

Castiel smiles slightly.

Destinee: You can stay here.

Castiel looks surprised.

Castiel: Really?

Destinee: Yes. You've earned my trust, Cas.

Castiel: I'm so happy to hear that.

Destinee smiles.

Destinee: Me too.

Ruby smiles. She stands up.

Rebel: That's great to hear. Do you want to hang out?

Ruby: Sure.

Rebel and Ruby leave their hideout. Rebel is blushing. She doesn't want to admit it out loud, but she counts this as a date.

Ruby: Thank you for taking care of me.

Rebel: Of course. That's what friends are for.

Ruby: I didn't think I would ever make a friend.

Rebel smiles.

Rebel: Well, I'm happy to be your friend.

Ruby smiles. They continue walking. They see people arguing up ahead. Ruby rolls her eyes.

Ruby: Stupid humans.

Rebel chuckles at her comment. Humans are a bunch of dumbasses. That case that Destinee almost failed to solve with the uncle was proof of that. He could of killed her, but he decided to have a fucking chat with her. Ruby looks over at the humans.

Ruby: I'm going to go see what they're talking about.

Rebel: Are you sure that's a good idea?

Ruby: Why wouldn't it be? I'm a demon.

Rebel: Ok.

Ruby goes over to the humans.

Ruby: Hey!

The humans turn around and look at her. Their names are Carlos, Olek, and Chris.

Olek: What do you want?

Ruby: I wanted to see what you dumb humans are arguing about.

Olek snickers.

Olek: Us, dumb? No, I think you're the dumb one.

Ruby chuckles.

Ruby: Oh, really?

Olek: Yeah.

Ruby is tempted to kill these demons, but she is out in public. She takes a deep breath.

Ruby: What are you guys arguing about?

Olek: Why the hell do you care?

Ruby: I don't, I'm just curious.

Olek rolls his eyes. Chris is angry. He goes over to Ruby.

Chris: You should leave before we lay you to waste.

Ruby: Is that a threat?

Chris: What do you think?

Ruby: I think you'll regret this.

Chris glares at her. He runs at her and goes to hit her. Ruby grabs his arm and twists around. Christ screams in pain. Olek tries to trip her. Ruby pushes Chris into Olek. They fall to the ground. Carlos looks nervous. He runs away. Ruby smirks. Olek and Chris stand back up.

Chris: You're going to regret that.

Ruby: I doubt that.

Ruby: Thanks.

Rebel: Ruby, I told you that was a bad idea.

Ruby: I know.

Rebel: Let's go before the cops show up.

Ruby nods. Rebel and Ruby run as far away from that area as possible. They find themselves in an alleyway.

Rebel: I have to admit, that was pretty fun.

Ruby: I know, right?

Rebel chuckles. She is falling for Ruby even more. Ruby suddenly pulls Rebel into an alleyway.

Rebel: Ruby, what are you doing?

Ruby shushes her and points. Rebel looks and sees Destinee. She gasps.

Rebel: What the fuck is she doing here?

Ruby: I don't know.

Ruby takes out her blade.

Rebel: Ruby, we can't fight her every time we see her.

Ruby: I hate her so much.

Rebel: I hate your sister, too, but we can't fight her right now. We already have Castiel on our backs.

Ruby sighs. She puts the blade away.

Ruby: Fine, you're right.

Rebel takes a deep breath. Destinee can sense a demonic presence. She is about to turn around. Rebel and Ruby hide behind a dumpster. Destinee turns around. She doesn't see anyone. She shrugs and continues walking. Ruby and Rebel sigh in relief. Rebel and Ruby sneak away, and go back to their hideout. Ruby sits on the couch.

Ruby: I don't want my sister to think that she's won.

Rebel sits next to her.

Rebel: Me neither.

Ruby smiles.

Ruby: I'm happy to have somebody that is on my side.

Rebel smiles back.

Rebel: Me too.

Rebel blushes. Ruby is perfect for her.

Dean: Ok, what's up?

Castiel: I want to ask Destinee out on a date, but I don't know how.

Dean smirks.

Dean: Oh, Cas, that's easy. Just ask her.

Castiel: But, I'm nervous. I've never done this before.

Dean puts his hand on Castiel's shoulder.

Dean: You'll be fine, Cas. I believe in you. Just remember, give her your trench coat if she gets cold.

Castiel stares at him.

Castiel: Dean, she never gets cold. I'm the one who is always cold.

Dean: Oh, right, sorry. But, you can do this. I promise.

Castiel takes a deep breath.

Castiel: Ok.

Dean smiles and gives him a thumbs-up.

Dean: You got this.

Dean leaves. Castiel waits for Destinee to come downstairs. 20 minutes later, Destinee comes downstairs. Castiel sucks in a breath. She is so pretty. He wants her so badly. Destinee smiles at him.

Destinee: Hey, Cas.

Castiel: Hi, Destinee. Can I ask you something?

Destinee: Of course.

Castiel: Do you...want to go on a...date with me?

Destinee's eyes light up.

Destinee: I would love to!

Castiel smiles slightly.

Castiel: Oh, I was so nervous.

Destinee: Don't be nervous, Cas.

Castiel: I can do that.

Dean smiles. 3 hours later, Castiel goes to Destinee's room. He opens the door. Destinee is wearing a black dress with a purple blazer over it. Castiel blushes.

Castiel: You are beautiful.

Destinee smiles and blushes.

Destinee: Thank you.

Castiel takes her hand. They leave the bunker. They walk to the restaurant. Castiel is trying not to shiver. It is freezing outside. He is clenching his jaw to hide his chattering teeth. Destinee's hand is very warm, so it keeps his hand from freezing. His other hand is numb and shaking. Destinee rubs her eyes.

Castiel: What's wrong?

Destinee: It hurts my eyes to have to hide my red eyes.

Castiel: Come on, we'll go somewhere nobody is.

Destinee nods. Castiel takes her to a park that nobody goes to. They sit down on a bench. Castiel is shivering slightly. Destinee lets her demonic form show. Her red eyes, fangs, and tail. She sighs in relief.

Destinee: Thank you, Cas.

Castiel: It was my pleasure.

Castiel shivers. He uses his powers to make food appear. He gives it to Destinee. She smiles and starts eating.

Destinee: This is amazing, Castiel.

Castiel blushes.

Destinee: My ex....

Castiel looks concerned.

Castiel: Destinee? What about your ex?

Destinee: Nothing. It is not important.

Castiel is worried about her. Destinee taps her fingers on the table. Castiel's teeth chatter. He is freezing. His lips are blue.

Destinee: Are you cold?

Castiel: A little.

Destinee: You're shivering like a leaf.

Castiel: I'm always cold.

Destinee holds his hand. Castiel's hands are numb. Destinee rubs his hand.

Castiel: I hate the cold.

Destinee: Come on, let's go inside.

Castiel: Ok.

Destinee and Castiel go inside a store. Castiel's shivering lessons.

Destinee: Do you feel better?

Castiel: Yeah.

Destinee hugs Castiel. Castiel hugs back. He sneezes.

Destinee: I'll see you in the morning, Cas.

Castiel: Ok.

Destinee goes upstairs. Dean smiles at Castiel.

Dean: I told you. I knew you could do it.

Castiel: Thank you for believing in me.

Dean: Of course. That's what friends are for.

Castiel nods.

Dean: Anyway, we have to go to California in the morning.

Castiel: Just the two of us?

Dean: Yeah. Sammy is sick, so I want Destinee to watch him.

Castiel: Ok. We'll take an airplane.

Dean looks nervous.

Dean: No, we're driving.

Castiel: But, that will take 22 hours, Dean.

Dean: I don't care. We're taking the Impala.

Castiel: Fine, I'll go tell Destinee.

Castiel goes upstairs to Destinee's room.

Castiel: Destinee?

Destinee: Yes?

Castiel: Dean and I are going to California tomorrow.

Destinee: What about Sam and me?

Castiel: Dean said that Sam is sick, so he wants you to watch him.

Destinee: Ok.

-

Dean goes to Sam's room. Sam is lying in bed. He is sweating.

Dean: How are you feeling, Sammy?

Sam: Horrible.

Dean sits next to the bed.

Dean: I'm sorry.

Sam blows his nose.

Dean: Listen, Cas and I are going to California tomorrow. Destinee is staying here to watch you.

Sam coughs.

Dean: They said it was good.

Sam nods. He sniffles. Dean puts his hand on Sam's forehead.

Dean: You have a fever.

Sam groans.

Sam: How did I even get sick?

Dean: Well, don't quote me on this, but it might have been from all the food you ate yesterday.

Sam: It tasted good, Dean.

Dean: I know, but I told you not to eat so much.

Sam: I'm not a baby.

Dean: Then, don't act like one.

Sam rolls his eyes. He coughs.

Dean: Ok, you should take a nap.

Sam: Ok.

Dean tucks Sam in. He turns off the lights. Sam falls asleep. Dean leaves the room and closes the door. He is worried about Sam. He hopes Sam feels better soon. He goes into the living room and sits on the couch. He hopes he doesn't have to go on an airplane tomorrow.

Usher: I would never kill him.

Dean rolls his eyes. Castiel is glaring at Usher.

Usher: How do you know her?

Castiel: She's my girlfriend.

Chapter Text

Castiel and Dean are trying to get to Destinee as fast as they can. They have to stop Usher.

-

Destinee is in her office, waiting for Castiel. She hears a knock at the door. She goes over to it and opens the door. Usher grabs her by the neck. He closes the door. Destinee struggles. She is scared. He pushes her up against the wall. He slaps her in the face. Destinee groans.

Usher: I can't believe you thought you could get rid of me.

Destinee shudders.

Usher: I'm so disappointed in you. Dating an angel. So sinful.

-

Castiel and Dean run into the building. Castiel is very worried. She wasn't answering his calls. They run into her office. They see what Usher is doing.

Castiel: Let her go!

Usher turns around and looks at them.

Usher: Stupid angel. You really think you can stop me?

Destinee takes out her angel blade and stabs him. Usher groans and throws her. Castiel catches her. Usher holds onto his side.

Usher: This isn't over.

Usher disappears. Destinee sighs in relief. Castiel gently sets her down.

Castiel: Are you alright?

Destinee: Yeah, I'm fine.

Castiel holds her hand.

Dean: Do we really think that Usher killed James?

Castiel: Why wouldn't we?

Dean: It seems too obvious.

Destinee: He's right.

Castiel sighs. He knows that he is right. Destinee puts her hand on his shoulder. She rubs his shoulder.

Castiel: I know you're right.

Dean nods. They go out of the room and go over to the lady.

Destinee: Do you have any suspects for James Smith?

Lady: Yes, they're in that room over there.

Destinee nods. She takes a deep breath and goes into the room. They are once again, only men.

Destinee: Hello, my name is Detective Destinee. Please state your name and relation to James.

Male #1: My name is Tom. James was my best friend.

Male #2: My name is Luicus. James was my boyfriend.

Male #3: My name is Jensen. James was my cousin.

Destinee nods and writes all that down.

Destinee: I need to interrogate all of you. I will do Jensen first.

They nod. Luicus and Tom leave. Destinee sits down.

Destinee: So, Jensen, what was your relationship with your cousin like?

Jensen: Our relationship wasn't great. We fought a lot. We loved each other, but we always butt heads.

Destinee nods.

Destinee: Have you ever thought of killing him?

Jensen: No, of course not.

Destinee shrugs.

Destinee: Do you think Tom or Luicus could have done this?

Jensen: I suspect Tom. He didn't seem too upset when we found out James died.

Destinee: You were all together when you found out?

Jensen: Yes.

Destinee: Can you get Tom?

Jensen: Sure.

Jense leaves and gets Tom. Tom walks inside. He sits down.

Destinee: What was your relationship like with James?

Tom: He was my best friend. I loved him.

Destinee: Yeah, well, Jensen said you didn't seem too upset when he died.

Tom: He's a bitch. I was upset. He's just telling lies.

Destinee hums. She writes that down.

Destinee: Did Jensen do anything to James?

Tom: Hell yeah! He would hit him all the time. James came to my house crying because of it.

Destinee nods.

Destinee: Can you get Luicus?

Tom: Sure.

Tom leaves and gets Lucius. He walks inside and sits down. Lucius is crying.

Destinee: Why are you crying?

Lucius: Isn't it obvious? My boyfriend is dead.

Destinee: True, but you weren't crying before.

Lucius: It became too much.

Destinee nods.

Destinee: Did you love your boyfriend?

Lucius: Yes, I did. So very much.

They hear screaming outside of the room. Destinee and Lucius go to see what is going in. Jensen is beating up a woman. Tom walks into the room from the bathroom.

Tom: I knew it was him. What a bitch.

Destinee: Well, we don't know if he actually did it.

Tom: What are you talking about? It's obviously him. He's beating up that poor women.

Destinee turns around and stabs him in the stomach. Tom groans from pain.

Tom: What the fuck!?

Destinee: I know you killed your best friend.

Tom coughs.

Tom: Fine, I did it.

Lucius gasps.

Lucius: Why?

Tom: James didn't deserve to live.

Destinee: Well, you're going to spend the rest of your life in jail.

Tom growls. Destinee goes over and pulls Jensen off of the women.

Destinee: What are you doing?

Jensen: She was making fun of James!

Destinee: That doesn't give you the right to beat her up.

Jensen rolls his eyes and walks away. Destinee leaves the building. Castiel and Dean are outside waiting for her.

Castiel: What happened?

Destinee: James's best friend killed him.

Dean: Wow, that's cols.

Destinee nods. Castiel goes over to her. He kisses her on the cheek.

Castiel: My girlfriend, a detective.

Destinee blushes.

Destinee: I'm not a great detective. I haven't even done a case in a long time.

Castiel: That's why you're so good. You haven't been doing it, and you solved this case. I really thought it was Usher.

Destinee chuckles.

Destinee: Come on, let's go home.

Destinee, Castiel, and Dean go back to the bunker. Sam is sitting on the couch. He is blowing his nose.

Sam: How did it go?

Destinee: It went good. I solved the case.

Sam: Good job.

Destinee and Castiel go upstairs. Dean sits next to Sam.

Dean: How are you feeling?

Sam: Better. My headache is gone.

Dean: That's good.

Sam coughs. He sniffles. Dean feels his forehead.

Dean: At least you don't have a fever.

Sam: Yeah.

Sam sneezes.

Dean: Bless you.

Sam: Thanks.

Sam blows his nose again.

Sam: I haven't been this sick in so long.

Dean nods. He wraps a blanket around Sam. Sam pulls the blankets closer around himself.

Dean: Do you need more medicine?

Sam: No, I'm good. Thanks.

Dean nods.

Dean: I hope you get better soon. I miss having you with us.

Castiel: She's my girlfriend.

Mother: You're girlfriend!? Angels and demons aren't allowed to date.
