Chapter 1: In The Act
Chapter Text
“Duro?”
“Oh fuck!”
It’s owed to Duro’s quick reflexes that he manages to grab his discarded blanket and throw it over Donar, bathing him in darkness the very second Agron barges in through the door.
“You home? What the fuck!” Donar suppresses a chuckle at the mental image of Agron’s dumbfounded expression. “You have company?”
“Agron!” Duro wheezes, “Get the fuck out!”
Donar grins into the soft skin at the base of Duro’s still very hard cock.
“I was just. My uh. Charger. Have you seen it?” He has the decency to stutter, but Donar is getting impatient under the blanket. As is Duro, he can tell.
“Anyway, who are you hiding?”
“Agron!” Duro’s entire body jerks as he yells and Donar has to fight to keep still. It’s not like he cares about Agron knowing about them, but he’d rather not be in such a compromising position when he’ll have to face Agron’s wrath about finding out his best friend is fucking his little brother.
“Yeah man, sorry. I didn’t know you had someone over,” Agron sounds a bit calmer now and Donar lets out a relieved sigh that has Duro shivering.
“Can I borrow your charger though?”
“Out!”
Chapter 2: Gym Bros
Chapter Text
“Alright. See you later, sweetcakes.”
Duro’s exasperated sigh makes Donar grin as he hangs up and stuffs his phone into his gym bag.
“You seeing someone?”
Donar starts when Agron lets his own bag drop onto the bench before him.
“Sounds serious,” Agron continues with a smirk.
With a shrug Donar turns around.
“It’s new,” he offers, trying his best to play it cool. To be honest, he’s been seeing a lot of Duro lately, but they haven’t really defined anything yet, so he’s definitely not about to overshare with Agron.
“Well good for you,” his friend states, squeezing Donar’s shoulder before he playfully slaps his cheek. “Been too long since you got any, hasn’t it?”
Donar laughs and shakes his head.
“Asshole,” he mutters and retaliates, taking Agron into an immediate headlock. They grapple and tussle between the lockers until someone tells them to shove it, this is a gym, not a playground.
“Whatever,” Agron growls, but lets go of Donar and throws his locker shut before he grabs his stuff and heads for the door.
“We should go on a double date some time,” he casually throws over his shoulder as Donar tags along.
“Hm yeah. We should.”
Chapter 3: Morning Miscommunications
Chapter Text
He’s standing in the kitchen, dreamily staring into the dark brown pool of liquid as it swirls in Duro’s he/himbo mug while he waits for the toaster to spit out his toast.
“Morning,” comes a mumble behind him and Donar smiles, fully expecting a warm hug when instead he’s rudely pushed aside. “What are you still doing here?”
Wrong brother, damn.
Donar clears his throat to buy himself some time to answer.
“Got late last night, huh?” Agron more states than asks and Donar has to suppress a telling grin.
“Yeah,” he offers casually. “Totally got laid.”
Agron hums, then pulls two mugs from the cupboard and pours some coffee.
“Hope sweetcakes doesn’t mind you prefer to spend your nights hanging out at our place rather than theirs,” he muses, then nudges Donar with his elbow and gives him a wink. For a second Donar is stunned, but then he shakes his head and laughs it off. Agron grunts and takes his mugs.
“Anyway, I got a boyfriend to get back to.” He offers Donar one last grin before he walks back to his room.
Yeah, Donar thinks with a shake of his head and a smile, me too.
Chapter 4: Pool Boys
Chapter Text
The sight of Duro, stretched out over the pool table, his stomach peeking out under his ridden up shirt, jeans clinging to his ass in all the right places, truly does things to Donar’s raging libido. It’s hard to swallow his urge to plaster himself snug against that back and grind into those perfect curves.
Donar takes a swig of his drink as he watches Duro shoot.
“Fuck,” Duro curses when the ball misses its target and Agron grins at his brother smugly. “My turn.”
“Your aim is off because you hold the cue too high,” Donar offers as he walks up to Duro and casually places a hand at the small of his back. Duro grunts in response. He doesn’t like being told when he’s wrong and Donar can respect that. “Just saying,” he shrugs and holds his hands up in a disarming gesture.
Duro pouts and Donar is tempted to kiss him - but that would make things all too easy for Agron. What started as “let’s just see where this goes first” has since become “let's see how long it’ll take for Agron to catch on” and Donar is enjoying this game quite a bit, even if it means he has to restrain himself in situations like these.
“Your turn,” Nasir announces and Donar looks up to see Agron scowling. Clearly he just missed his shot as well, though Donar has to admit he wasn’t paying attention.
“Watch and learn,” he can’t help but tease Duro as he steps toward the table. He’s about to lean in when Duro grabs his wrist.
“Why don’t you show me?” he asks in a low voice and takes the cue from Donar. It’s an opportunity he can’t pass up.
Donar grins and gestures for Duro to step forward. “Let me show you,” he says, loud enough for the others to hear. He watches Nasir grin as Agron’s scowl grows even deeper.
“You know,” Agron damn near growls as Donar covers Duro’s hand and guides his arm lower to get him to the proper position. “Just because you won some competition back in college doesn’t mean you have to be a wisecrack about it every time we play.”
Donar won’t let Agron deter him. He’s always been a sore loser, and it only makes Donar more determined to win. Pressing closer to Duro, he helps him aim for the best possible shot.
“You’re just pissed I’m not helping you,” he vexes Agron with a grin while Nasir is fighting his own giggles at the display.
“Whatever man, it’s just annoying,” Agron grumbles. “It’s not like Duro doesn’t know how to play.”
Donar shakes his head.
“Don’t let him distract you, sweetcakes,” Donar mumbles, low enough that only Duro catches it. “You’re doing great.”
Duro snorts. “He’s not the one distracting me,” he offers, but when he shoots the white ball hits his seven just right and it rolls into the pocket with a satisfying thud - while Agron still looks clueless as ever.
Chapter 5: Family Matters
Chapter Text
“Hey Donar, sweetheart.”
Agron grunts as his mom waves from behind the screen of Duro’s phone. It makes him feel even more smug when he gives her his brightest smile and waves back.
“Hey, Mrs. K!”
“For Christ’s sake, Donar, I told you a hundred times it’s Hanna.”
“Yes, ma’am,” Donar smiles as he mock-salutes while Duro turns and shoots him a goofy grin.
“But since you’re already there,” she continues seamlessly, “Are you coming this weekend?”
Agron does the frown again. “He hangs out with us all the time, why do you have to invite him to our family brunch on top?”
“He’s family,” Duro and his mom reason at the same time, making Donar grin.
“I’m family,” he states and playfully smacks Agron up the back of his head.
“Yeah, yeah,” Agron grumbles. “The perfect son she always wanted.”
“That’s Nas, actually,” Duro chimes in and just hearing his boyfriend’s name has Agron’s mood shifting immediately.
“I love all you boys equally,” Mrs.- Hanna insists with the fond kind of eyeroll that makes Donar wonder how she ever managed to raise her two sons without losing her mind in the process. Donar himself surely doesn’t possess that kind of patience.
“Love you too, mom,” Duro returns dutifully, while Agron still grumbles unintelligibly. Donar can’t resist another provocative smack, this time hitting Agron’s shoulder as he ducks away.
“I’m honored,” Donar laughs, as he fights off Agron’s answering punches. “And of course I’ll be there for brunch.” A moment later a cushion hits his face.
“Hey!” Duro yells as he dodges away while Donar hurls the cushion back at Agron.
“Sorry mom, gotta go.”
And then it’s all three of them, throwing pillows and punches. Agron is still none the wiser but Donar wouldn’t have it any other way.
Chapter 6: Game Night
Chapter Text
“Does anyone want another beer?”
Agron nods distractedly, his eyes glued to the TV. Nasir gestures with his still half-filled bottle, shaking his head. Duro, similarly caught up in the game, smiles and offers Donar his empty bottle.
It’s a quick trip to the fridge and back, and Donar hands the guys their fresh drinks. Agron hums in acknowledgement as he blindly receives it. Duro at least has the decency to briefly look at him before his attention is back on their team.
“You’re welcome,” Donar mocks and Duro pauses, looking back up.
“Thanks, babe,” he smiles. Caught by surprise, Donar just stares at him for a second. He can hear Nasir snort while Agron doesn’t show any indication that he heard what Duro just said. “You’re welcome,” Donar repeats, then smiles as he grabs the bottle from Duro’s hand and pops the lid off for him.
Duro grins and clinks the bottom to Donar’s.
“Thanks, babe,” he says, louder this time, and leans in for a quick little kiss.
And that finally catches Agron’s attention, his eyes no longer focused on the screen, mouth agape as he stares at Duro and Donar instead.
It’s Nasir who breaks the moment, his finger gently tipping up Agron’s chin, successfully pulling him out of his stupor.
“I beg your fucking pardon?”
Both Duro and Nasir burst out laughing and while Donar is thoroughly amused, he still braces himself in case Agron decides to take a swing at him or some shit.
“What?” He then asks smugly, incapable of reining in his grin, hard as he tries to look unbothered and innocent.
“The fuck?” Agron still seems to fumble for words as Nasir rests his forehead against Agron’s shoulder, full body shaking with laughter.
“About time you caught on,” he wheezes and holds his hand up to high-five Duro.
“I’m sorry, bro,” Donar offers, holding up his hands. “I wanted to tell you but your obliviousness was just too irresistible.”
“I. You. What?” Agron still flounders. “Is this a fucking joke?”
“It’s not,” Duro confirms, his laughter easing as he sobers his expression. “We’re uhh… together?” At that he looks at Donar, almost as if he needs to confirm. It’s been understood, or so Donar thought, that they very much are together, but it occurs to him all of a sudden that they never officially put a label to it.
He smiles and reaches for Duro’s hand. “Absolutely,” he says and watches Duro’s smile grow wide. “One hundred percent together.”
Behind him, Agron lets out an exasperated groan and as much fun as it has been to wait for Agron to finally piece together what everyone else had picked up on from the start, Donar has a feeling that with their secret finally out the future will hold many more opportunities to have fun at Agron’s expense.
Starting right now, he decides as he leans closer and draws Duro into a purposefully slow kiss - one that Duro is all too eager to return.
