Chapter 6: It's been three months

Chapter Text

Three months have past since her new birth, and finally she is able to roll-over on her own!Something that her brother had been able to do two months ago. When he demonstrated this to our elder brother he was praised to high heaven by not only their elder brother but their parents as well.

When she was able to roll-over on her own in front of them however the only one that praised her were her brothers. Something that didn’t affect her much, apart from her making a mental note. However her crib-mate didn’t such a mild reaction, glaring at them for days when they didn’t give her the same treatment. She just knows that now progress could be made towards unlocking her status menu.

[Complete Mission to unlock status; Roll-over (3/100), Sit-up (0/100), and Crawl (0/100 Feet)]

Sadly her body could only do these rolls once a day at the moment, but it was fine. As long as she gets theses things done within a year then she would be right on schedule of her physical development.

Her parents weren’t able to get rid of her just yet and the hype didn’t look like it was going to be going away. If anything more gifts have been arriving then before. Both of her parents didn’t know what to do with all the gifts. Some of the senders also sent gifts for her brothers as well, something that their parents were happy about even if the gifts were noticeably smaller compared to the ones sent for her.

However she decided that it was not her issue. Even if she witnessed a few gift baskets disappear for some reason at night, as in turn to golden dust when they disappear…

Nope… not her issue… at the moment…

But in the back of her mind she knew that it will be her issue later.

The only highlight of her day was when their elder brother came home and played with them, or read stories to them. Voice clumsy, but has noticeably gotten better with each passing day of reading to them. So in a way this was helping her eldest brother improve his speaking skills which will always be useful in life.

As the days and nights pass by, she had time to think about the coming future. Not just about the dungeons and monsters that would arrive. That could wait for at least until she was like ten years old. The coming future before that point, their parents are going to be killed in a car crash. This was a fact.

That was a major plot point in the manga, for it set the stage for their eldest brother’s hardship as he raised Yoohyan after dropping out of high school which inevitably limited his job opportunities. And Yoojin appearing as if he wouldn’t be able to handle the big wigs that were wanting to control Yoohyan’s awakened power that manifested right when the outbreak started.

Yoohyan only being 15 at the time, worried that he would not be able to protect Yoojin against these people, so he distance himself. However, the way he did it was not a reasonable way of doing it in her opinion. The way he did it broke Yoojin’s heart.

She didn’t want that future for her eldest brother. If Yoohyan tried to do that she would be by her eldest brother’s side. No matter what happens she would be their for her eldest brother, and in the shadows she might help Yoohyan but only enough to keep him alive.

In her heart she hoped that it would not be necessary to do so, but she knew that it was a possibility. One that she now had an answer for. She would be the bridge between them if necessary. Protecting their elder brother alone if needed until Yoohyan either comes to his senses or she dies. Again…

But their was also the possibility of her elder brother using the wishing stone he gets from a dungeon raid to reverse time like in the original manga after seeing Yoohyan’s memories. Finally understanding what he was trying to do and why.

Anyway back to the previous train of thought, she needed to help her brother even before the outbreak. That way he would not be at a disadvantage as a working adult.

Mentally she made a list of what was needed: They are going to need money, and her brother needs to finish High school and maybe even go to college. Only two major points really now that she listed them like that.

Money she needed to either unlock her status or be able to walk before she could fix the first one. How she will have to think about it. Maybe modeling, and or acting?

As for the second point since his future job class will or will most likely be that of a caregiver, maybe a degree or certificate thing that would allow him to be a full time qualified babysitter, nanny, or preschool teacher?

She only had a general idea to help him both go with his future job class and his personality. She wasn’t sure if their was a degree for child raising but if their is one she would help her brother get it.

Or she can help him open a general store and or cafe…

Ideas continue to whirl away in her mind as she mentally went over ways this could go. Not noticing that she drifted off to sleep.
