You’re My Business

Summary:

Kim Sunoo, just a regular employee, never had anything special go on in his life. It would be a regular routine of eat, work, sleep. He never had a special lover since the thought of love was never an option for him when he was younger since not very many people liked him.

While Lee Heeseung worked at the same company as the boy, but was the complete opposite of Sunoo. Wildly loved by others for his way of promoting with his handsome looks.

Both having tragic pasts these two end up encountering each other.

Will something spark when these two meet?

Or will they just be regular everyday colleagues to each other?

Notes:

So, I wanted to say that this an alternative universe where everyone works at the same company.

ENHI-PIN Co.

I know very original.

Anyway none of the characters belong to me this is just a sweet story I wanted to make with all the members. That’s all I’ve got to say.

Hope you enjoy!

Chapter 1: Our first encounter.

Chapter Text

Sunoo was on his way towards the company he worked for.

ENHI-PIN Co. (I know it’s very original)

He happily marched watching the birds fly into the beautiful scenery around him. He felt the morning breeze flush against his face as his dyed blonde hair flew behind him. His fox eyes crinkled up following his happy grin.

He reached his destination and walked in flashing his bright smile as he politely bowed at his upper colleagues.

He was about to open the door when he was met with a man.

He had faded auburn hair that matched perfectly with his gentle, doe like eyes. His hair was slicked back showing his perfectly cleared face. It was like he came out of a Korean drama. That body with a wealthy looking suit was absolutely attractive.

Sunoo felt his heart rate go up and his face felt hot. He was for sure handsome alright. It was honestly Sunoo’s first time seeing this man up close.

What was this feeling?

It was just Lee Heeseung in front of him. The man that always had that perfect smile and eyes that could make any girl fall for him, so why did he feel this way now?

“ Ah… let me get that for you Sunoo-nim.” He said opening the door to reveal a row of desks.

“ Thank you. I could have gotten it myself Heeseung Seonbae-nim.” Sunoo greeted trying to act as if nothing was going on through his mind.

“ No it’s alright. We’re heading the same way anyway. Don’t want you overworking yourself.”

He said giving his classic small grin to make girls fall head over heels for him.

Sunoo looked at him confused and blushed lightly, but bowed before rushing towards his desk.

”Sunoo get these thoughts out of your head. You can’t possibly have feelings for him. He’s just likable.”

After that he put his bag down and got straight to work tapping on his desktop.

—————

Sunoo having his full attention on the computer hadn’t noticed the shadow that gradually appeared.

“ Sunoo-ya?”

Sunoo flinched at the sudden noticed.

“ Ah…Jake hyung. Do you need something?”

Sim Jaeyun. He was the boy’s desk partner since they sat beside each other.

He was slightly taller than the other and had dark brown hair. He mostly represented a puppy, specifically a golden retriever, because of his eyes and energetic behavior. He was half korean and half Australian. He looked more Korean, but he gave off an Australian accent.

He was seated in his chair as he moved closer towards Sunoo.

“ Did you hear? We’re getting two new interns tomorrow.”

Of course he knew. He was the social butterfly around the company and was the first to know everything. Sunoo was also a talkative person, but he wasn’t the one to make friends on the spot. He had to get to know them first. But it wasn’t that hard for the two to become close to where they call each other informally.

”Really? What else did you find out?” He asked turning his full attention to the puppy-eyed boy.

“I heard one is from Japan and he’s about 6ft tall, but I doubt it.” Jaeyun said rolling his eyes.

“ Hey you never know. Japanese men are pretty tall.” Sunoo said teasing the boy.

Jake scoffed playfully, “ Please if he was really that tall he could have became a basketball player instead. That’s a waste of height if you ask me. I would totally do that instead.”

Sunoo gave a giggle at the comment, “ I think someone’s jealous.”

He said giving a mischievous grin, but when there was no response he turned to look at the brown haired that sat next to him.

Sunoo waved a hand in front realizing he was somewhere in his own world or something caught his attention. Maybe even someone…

“ Jake hyung? Are you alright? “

“ Huh-uh yea I’m fine. Perfectly fine. Nothing to worry about.”

He quickly stated and swiftly moved back towards his desk.

Sunoo puzzled turned back towards the assignment he was working on still trying to process what just happened.

“Sunoo-nim?” A voice asked.

Sunoo spun around in his chair to look at the figure.

He had blonde hair like him, but it was more faded. He had a calm expression on his handsome face and moles scattered around that fit in well with his perfectly glossed skin. His eyes were as cold as ice that if you looked at for the first time you’d think he was some cold-hearted guy that doesn’t socialize with others, but it was kind of the other way around.

“ Sunghoon Seonbae-nim! What brings you here?” Sunoo said joyfully, but also a bit confused.

“Ah…I came to ask for the documents. Are you by any chance finished yet?”

“ Yep, almost finished. Just need to print some papers out then I’ll give it to you.”

Sunghoon nodded as his eyes diverted to another boy next to him.

“ Good morning Jaeyun-nim.”

He greeted with a gentle smile that melted any trace of his cold expression.

Jake awkwardly turned his chair around as he tried to avoid eye contact with the boy.

“ Morning Sunghoon Seonbae-nim.”

He said giving a slight bow before turning away from embarrassment.

————-

After thirty minutes time was going by slow and Sunoo was getting weary by the minute. He was about done with his assignment, but he couldn’t clock out till 5:00 and it was nearly 3:50.

Suddenly the door was heard. The President came into the room as a boy with auburn hair and doe like eyes came in following the president.

Lee Heeseung. One of the highest and most talented workers in the building. He won the highest selling product of the year in his second year of working in the office. Which was the year Sunoo had just started here. Pretty amazing if you asked him. He knew the man had perfect skills when it came to selling products, but he never got to see it in person before.

It was astonishing though as he had the visual of an idol, but chose to work in business. It always wondered in Sunoo’s mind.

Sunoo’s thoughts were cut off as soon as the President started talking.

“If I could have everyone’s attention!”

Everyone simultaneously stopped whatever they were doing and turned towards the president.

“ I would like to tell everyone that our main product is sky rocketing in sells! We’ve got over 1 million purchases in just two weeks”

Then there was a sudden burst of claps and cheers.

“ And it’s all thanks to our top seller Lee Heeseung!”

The president announced patting the boy’s back. He was clearly favorited by everyone since the cheers roared even louder.

“ This calls for a celebration tonight!”

Everyone applauded to the celebration.

Once the noise died down he was interrupted by a familiar voice.

“ Sunoo-nim are you going tonight?” Jaeyun asked.

“ No. Sorry Jake hyung. Maybe next time. I’m busy tonight.” Sunoo lied.

It’s not like he didn’t enjoy hang outs. It was that he didn’t really interact with the people around him. He also didn’t really like the thought of drinking since he wasn’t much of a drinker.

“ Oh…” Jake said frowning at the response.

He then turned back to his desk wanting to ask why, but knew Sunoo had his reasons.

Sunoo gave a sheepish smile as he slowly got up to make copies.

—————

Sunoo was walking towards the room when he saw the one and only Lee Heeseung.

He was tapping buttons on the machine when suddenly he banged on it.

“ This stupid copy machine…”

Sunoo noticed the action and gave a slight chuckle before entering the room.

“ Something wrong there Heeseung Seonbae-nim?”

Heeseung shot his head towards the voice and gave an embarrassed smile while scratching his neck.

“ Did you…see all that?”

Sunoo gave a small chuckle that immediately lightened up the room.

“ No worries. Your secret safe with me. I promise not to tell anyone you can’t fix a copy machine.”

Sunoo slowly bent down to fix the printer. As the other was flustered from embarrassment.

After a few minutes the boy had done it.

“ There. It should be fixed.”

Heeseung stared for a moment. His eyes were widened in bewilderment as his jaw hung slightly opened.

Sunoo smiled trying to contain his laughter from the other boy.

“ Wow… how did you figure that out?”

Heeseung finally asked still in complete shock.

“ It’s not really that hard. Just a few things here and there needed fixing. Nothing super big.” Sunoo happily replied back as he tapped to work the printer.

The machine then started printing papers like nothing.

“ Works now.” Sunoo said hinting a bit of teasing.

As they were waiting Sunoo decided to strike up a conversation.

“ So…that’s amazing that sells are growing. How’s it feel to be our top seller?”

Heeseung turned to look at him.

“ It’s alright I guess. I’m mean it’s the same process over and over.”

“ Ah… you must be lucky.”

Heeseung looked at him confused.

“ Why’s that?”

“ Well you’re loved by so many people. While I’m just a regular employee. There’s nothing special in that.”

Sunoo looked at the ground then chuckled a bit.

“ Well…maybe I said too much...I should get going.”

Sunoo hastily grabbed his papers and exited out of the room before the other could say anything.

Sunoo rushed into the bathroom taking deep breaths to control himself. Why was he getting emotional over something so stupid. His past had nothing to do with Heeseung’s business so why did he think about it.

He turned the faucet on and splashed his face with water.

After finishing up in the bathroom he left like nothing happened…

Chapter Text

The loud karaoke machine could be heard from across the room as the employees sang along.

Drinks were being poured and cheers could be heard around the room.

The ladies could also be heard gossiping and gasping at the surprising news that they had just received.

While a blonde haired boy with sly, fox eyes sat in the corner keeping a distance from the others as he watched them continuously get drunk the further the night went.

Wondering how he got there in the first place? Well…

—————

“ Jake hyung I said I wasn’t going already.”

Jake whined, “ Come on Sunoo-ya this doesn’t happen often, so you should come.”

He blinked his cute puppy eyes at the other to try to make him give in, but Sunoo didn’t budge one bit.

“ No. That’s final.” He said in a motherly manner like he just scolded her son.

Jake pouted, “ Please! I really need you to be there!”

Sunoo crossed his arms.

“ And why’s that. If I go you’ll probably try to get me drunk. Remember the last celebration. You tried to make me drink after I said no like a million times. Then you stayed over at my place since you had to get over your hang over.”

Jake laughed nervously, “ What…Ok. I at least apologized for that. Just come this once. I promise to not do anything crazy or get super drunk again.”

Suddenly a voice interrupted Sunoo as he was about to protest.

“ Go where?”

They both turned their heads towards the voice.

“ Sunghoon Seonbae-nim. Did you need the papers? I’ve got them right here.”

“ Yes, but what was it you guys were talking about?” He said as he grabbed the documents from the blonde.

“ Jaeyun-nim over here is trying to make me go to the celebration tonight.” He said as he gave a slight scowl at the boy next to him.

“ Why not? I mean it might be fun.”

Sunoo gave an offensive look at the faded blonde haired boy.

“ Seonbae-nim whose side are you on!”

Jake smirked, “ Mine obviously. He wants you to go too.”

Sunoo sighed, “ I already said I had plans for tonight so I can’t go.” He lied once again.

Well maybe not exactly plans. Instead he was probably going to grab a tub of ice cream and snacks to eat while finishing the drama he was currently watching at home.

I mean he thought it was better than staying in a hot, stuffed room with his more than twenty other colleagues as they drank crazily and sang their hearts out.

“ What’s going on here?” A familiar voice came from afar.

Sunoo snapped his head.

“ Heeseung Seonbae-nim.” Sunghoon said as he bowed slightly.

The two sitting also bowed before answering.

“ We’re trying to convince Sunoo-nim to go for drinks tonight for the celebration, but apparently he’s busy.” Jake said giving him a look.

Sunoo quickly responded a bit of sass in his tone.

“ Yes, I’m busy and there’s nothing you can do about it.”

“ Sunoo-nim you should definitely go. We’ll have fun over there.” Heeseung said trying to persuade him as well.

Sunoo sighed.

Three strikes your out. Should he really go? I mean the three were all telling him he should.

He thought for a moment. He should right? I mean it was a celebration for our sells going up. What harm could it bring.

“ Fine…if you really want me to go I’ll go, but may I remind you if I have to take you home you owe me. Got it.” He said pointing a finger at Jake.

“ And I’m not drinking either.”

Jake saluted, “ Yes sir.”

And they all started laughing at the dark brown haired.

—————

And here we are now.

Sunoo knew they weren’t forcing him to go and it was just for the fun of it, but right now Sunoo was not enjoying the moment.

He sat there in his own world wondering what to do. He just wanted to be at home with his tub of ice cream crying because the main couple either kissed or broke up. He then noticed a certain dark haired boy with puppy like eyes dancing drunkly.

“ That guy I swear…”

Sunoo thought in his head as he playfully rolled his eyes knowing this was going to happen.

Sunoo decided to head outside for some fresh air since the smell was getting intolerable.

He pulled himself up when he noticed a boy with doe eyes and auburn hair. He was sat between two ladies that were all over him.

I mean of course the man was popular, but what the two girls were doing was absolutely absurd.

One was flirting on one side and the other was forcefully asking him to get drunk even though the boy refused multiple times.

Sunoo wasn't one to intervene on things, but completely noticing how the boy was avoiding the two mean’t how uncomfortable the boy was and Sunoo was going to take action.

He slowly walked up towards the table.

“ Excuse me ladies, but I think someone’s asking for Heeseung Seonbae-nim outside. And just him.”

The girls looked at him confused and slightly annoyed.

“ What for?” One of them asked.

“ Just some interview or something. They just need a few questions from him.”

Sunoo secretly patted himself on the back proudly for making up a lie on the spot.

Heeseung realizing what the boy was doing went along with it.

“ Yea. Sure I can do that.” He said slowly getting off the girls grips and standing up.

Sunoo then helped the boy since he was a bit tipsy.

Once they exited the room Sunoo asked concerningly, “You alright?”

Heeseung taking a deep breath of the fresh air replied,

“ Yea…Thanks by the way.”

“ No problem. Could tell you were uncomfortable.” Sunoo said a bright smile forming.

Heeseung stared at him for a moment. It was nice of him to help with the printer, but the fact that he noticed that he was uncomfortable and even helped him out of the situation was truly amazing.

The boy was kind enough to go out of his way to help him and that’s what struck Heeseung. This boy was an absolute angel and no one was going to take that away from him. His heart skipped a beat.

“ Here. Take this.” Sunoo said handing him a water bottle that he had just gotten from the vending machine nearby.

Heeseung slowly took the water.

“ You didn’t have to.” He said surprised by the gesture.

“ It’s ok. You look like you need it. Your face is all red.” Sunoo said teasingly and giggled a bit.

Heeseung touched his face. He didn’t know if his face was red and hot from drinking and the humid air from the room or from the blonde boy in front of him.

Heeseung opened the bottle and drank the water.

Sunoo watched in awe as the now messed up auburn hair fell down his face stopping at the eyes and his adam’s apple was completely noticeable from his point of view.

Sunoo gulped. Why did the famous Lee Heeseung look sexy even when drinking water. It was honestly impossible for a man to look this fine and not be some kind of idol or model.

Sunoo snapped out of thought when he figured it was wrong to think those kinds of things towards the man in front of him.

Sunoo asked his nose wrinkling a bit, “ Want to come with me? I’m heading to the balcony for some fresh air. I think the smell of smoke is getting to me from out here.”

Heeseung grinned a bit, “ Yea I’d like that. I honestly don’t want to go back in.”

Sunoo nodded, “ Me either.”

—————

They finally entered the balcony feeling the fresh breeze run on their faces.

Sunoo slowly walked towards the railing and watched as the cars passed by and the pedestrians walk away from sight.

Sunoo checked the time on his phone then went back to watching the city.

“ Looks beautiful doesn’t it.” Heeseung said his hands in his pockets as he walked to stand next to the blonde.

Sunoo smiled, “ Yea…”

He looked up to see the twinkling stars.

“ Wow…the stars look pretty tonight.” The fox-eyed said mesmerized.

Heeseung’s eyes followed.

They stared for a moment until the taller one spoke.

“ Thank you for tonight…” He said turning towards the other boy.

“ No need to thank me. We’re friends aren’t we. You don’t need to ask for help you just…know.”

Sunoo shifted his head towards the doe-eyed boy and shined a bright smile that twinkled vividly with the stars. His cute dimples were visible now since his smile widened.

They stared at each other for a moment.

It was like time had stopped.

The beating of the music can be vaguely heard and the sound of people talking was faint. The sound of cars that passed were quieted as the sound of their hearts were getting louder by the minute.

It was like it was only two of them on the earth and nobody was there to stop them from anything.

Then the sound of a sliding door could be heard.

They both flinched at the sudden interruption.

“ Heeseung-nim what are you doing out here! Come join the fun!” One of their colleagues yelled.

Heeseung gave a small smile and waved indicating he was coming.

He sighed, “ I guess we should get going?”

Sunoo chuckled and nodded as they both proceeded towards the door.

They happily separated ways as they enjoyed each other’s presence just beforehand and hoped to possibly encounter each other once more.

Chapter Text

“Jake hyung! Hurry and get up! We have to leave soon!”

Sunoo was in the middle of smacking his hyung with a pillow to wake him up.

“ One more minute…” Jake slurred as he tried to push Sunoo away.

“ No. I already told you not to drink as much yesterday and you didn’t listen to me, so get up now otherwise I’m not letting you in my house anymore.”

Sunoo put his hands on his hips like a mother who just scolded his son.

“ Fine I’m up. I’m up.”  Jake said putting his hands up in defeat and slowly got out of bed.

The two were now in the car on their way towards the company’s building. Once they got there Sunoo dropped Jake off then went to find a parking place.

As Sunoo was walking into the building he was busy searching for his phone in his bag.

“ Don’t tell me I forgot it!”

Suddenly he collided with a large figure. He slowly rubbed his head to ease the pain even though it didn’t help.

“ Are you okay.” A deep voice asked.

Sunoo looked up.

A boy with messy black hair and dark brown eyes looked at him. He hadn’t look Korean at all. He looked a lot more Japanese. He also resembled a puma, but his lips were more of a cute duck.

And boy was he tall.

Sunoo had never seen him before around here. Especially someone with that height. He was going to apologize, but the words hadn’t come out.

“ Woah…you’re tall…” Sunoo mentioned instead awestruck at the boy.

He chuckled a bit.

“ I get that a lot.” He said as the blonde grabbed his hand to pick himself up.

Then another boy came into view.

He was a lot shorter than the other. He had light brown hair and his eyes resembled more of a cat. His cute dimples were immediately noticeable with that grin of his.

“ Oh who’s this?” The boy with light-browned hair asked curiously.

“ You guys must be the interns that were mentioned yesterday. I’m Kim Sunoo. Pleasure meeting you two.”

He introduced himself as he bowed to greet the two of them.

The shorter one quickly took the lead.

“ Yang Jungwon. This is Nishimura Riki. And yes we are both interns here. It’s also a pleasure meeting you Kim Sunoo Seonbae-nim.”

The two bowed politely at the older one. Suno gave a small smile at the two’s politeness.

Then a voice interrupted them.

“ Sunoo-ya! I see you’ve met the new interns already.”

Another boy with dark brown hair mentioned.

Park Jongseong. Also known as Jay around the company. He was half American and half Korean. He spoke very good Korean and English, so having him around was quite useful when meeting other companies that were out of country.

He had a gentle gaze and a sharp jawline.  He may look like a serious person who’s strict on things, but he’s actually really heartwarming and kind to others.

Sunoo gasped.

Sunoo was the closest to him since they knew each other since high school. They met each other during a small gathering and quickly became friends after that.

“ Jay hyung!” Sunoo yelled running towards his hyung.

Jay happily welcomed the fox-eyed into his arms.

“ Missed you hyung! How was your business trip. You totally missed out on the celebration from yesterday!”

Jay chuckled, “ Missed you too. Really a celebration? I’m surprised you even went. Wait let me guess. Jaeyun-nim made you go again.”

Sunoo let go and puffed his cheeks out while crossing his arms like a kid who didn’t get his favorite toy.

“ Yes. He forced me to go just to take care of him again. I had to carry him home myself.”

Jay laughed and walked towards the two who were watching their little reunion.

Jay slightly bowed, “ Park Jongseong. Nice to meet you two.”

But this time there was no reply.

Niki waited for his hyung to say something since he was the one who usually took the lead, but when no sound was heard he shifted his head towards the boy.

“ Jungwon hyung? “

“ H-huh. Ah. I’m so sorry. I’m Yang Jungwon and this is Nishimura Riki.” He said quickly bowing as he apologized once more.

Jay chuckled at the boy.

“ No need to apologize. I’ll take you guys towards the bosses office.”

Jay spun around and waved at Sunoo.

“ Bye Sunoo-ya. I’ll catch up with you later.”

“ Okay Jay hyung!” He said waving back as the other two followed behind the dark brown haired boy.

Once they were completely out of sight Sunoo walked towards his desk.

As Sunoo walked he smirked noticing his Jake hyung extremely focused.

He slowly tiptoed towards him trying not to make any sound.

“ Ha!”

“AH-“

Jake almost tumbled out of his chair.

Sunoo giggled and rushed towards his desk.

“ You-I’m gonna get you later. Just watch.”

Jake said ruffling his hair even though it still flawlessly stayed the same.

Sunoo stuck out a tongue and mentioned.

“ Oh yea. You know that intern you said that probably wasn’t six feet. Well he really is. He extremely tall!”

Jake’s eyes widened, but quickly turned away thinking the other was lying.

“ No. You’re lying. No way he’s that tall. You just want to mess with me.”

Sunoo shrugged, “ See for yourself.”

And he turned back towards his desk top.

—————

Thirty minutes had passed and Sunoo was busy on his computer.

Jake still couldn’t believe him, so he actually went to see for himself.

“Sunoo-nim?”

Sunoo spun around and gave a small hum.

Heeseung stood there shyly, but it wasn’t that noticeable.

“ Heeseung Seanbae-nim. Good morning.” He addressed kindly.

“ Good morning.” He replied back, “ So…I was wondering if you wanted to hang out after work? I’ve been wanting to make up all the things you’ve done for me, since it’s the least I can do. Maybe dinner? I mean it’s fine of course if you don’t want to.”

Sunoo giggled at the boy’s shyness.

“ Sure. I’ve got nothing to do tonight anyway.”

The boy’s eyes slightly lit up and he smiled.

“ Uh…can I get your number? So I can text you?”

Sunoo happily insisted. He took his phone out and gave it to the boy to type it in.

Once he finished he gave the phone back and bowed before leaving.

Sunoo watched as the boy’s eyes slightly walked away before turning back towards his desk and grinning not knowing why.

Unexpectedly his name was called once again.

“Sunoo-ya!”

Jake yelled as he ran towards the blonde

“ You’re right! He is six feet tall!”

Sunoo smirked, “ I told you so.”

Jake rolled his eyes playfully, “ Yea, Yea, I get it. You-”

“ Jake-ya! You bullying my dongsaeng again!”

Jake sprinted away from the brown haired boy after hearing that voice and hid behind Sunoo.

He then whispered to Sunoo.

” Jay hyung’s back! Why didn’t you tell me!”

Sunoo chuckled, “ Because I knew this would happen.”

Jake scoffed then replied to the older one,“ No. Why are you assuming that?”

Jay raised an eyebrow as he walked closer.

“ Well maybe because you hiding behind him.”

Sunoo giggled before he intervened and anything else happened.

“ I’m okay Jay hyung. Aren’t the interns with you?”

“ No I left them in the president’s office. I think he’s going to have someone show them around. Must be unlucky to whoever he chooses.”

“ Ah. Here you are Kim Sunoo.”

Everyone turned to look at the sudden voice.

After a quick glance the three stood up and bowed in respect.

“ Hello President Choi.” Sunoo said as he looked up, “ Do you need me?”

“ Yes actually. Can I have you take the interns around the company? I’m busy at the moment since I have some paperwork that needs to be done. “

The two others turned towards Sunoo.

“Uh…I can’t-“

“ Sunoo-nim are you arguing against me?”

“ Ah-no sir it’s just I have some work to finish. Maybe someone else can do it?”

Sunoo suggested.

“ Who?”

“ I can do it.” A familiar voice came over.

The four turned towards the man.

“ Heeseung-nim no need to do it. I’m having Sunoo-nim do it. Don’t want you overworking yourself.”

The president said wrapping an arm around Heeseung’s shoulder’s and giving a small chuckle.

“ Yea…I can do that.” He said showing a smile.

“ Great! They’re in the main lobby.” He said leaving the four alone.

“ Talk about unlucky.” Jake said, but was then given a small smack in the head by his hyung.

“ I’m sorry Sunoo-ya. I can do it if you want me to?” Jay insisted, but Sunoo was quick to deny.

“ No it’s ok hyung. I can do it since you just came back from your trip.”

Jake then said, “ Sunoo-ya you need to stick up for yourself. You can’t have people keep using you like an object. You need to learn to say no.”

Sunoo sighed. Jake was right, but he just couldn’t say no to anybody. A wash of guilt would always rush over him if he ever said no. So really the only choice he had was to agree to avoid any conflict.

Sunoo gave a small smile.

“ No worries. I’ll be fine it’s just a quick tour.”

Jake frowned, “ Sunoo-ya you still have some work to finish that you just got yesterday.”

Sunoo shook his head.

“ I’ll be fine I promise.”

“ Then I’ll do it.” Heeseung insisted, “ I don’t have anything to do, so I can take them.”

There it was. A wash of guilt. He didn’t want to be a burden to the others, but he felt that if he agreed it would have felt like he forced them to do his work and he obviously didn’t want that.

“ No. It’s okay. I can do both. You guys are probably busier than I am anyway…”

He quickly turned around keeping his head down and walked away before the others could say anything.

Chapter 4: Our “Small” talk

Notes:

Hello!

First off I hope you like this chapter since this may have some angst in it, but it’s light so it’s not that big.

Also if there are any mistakes I’d like if you commented since there may be mistakes that I might not have caught.

That’s enough talking. Hope you enjoy~~

Chapter Text

Sunoo rushed out of the office room and dusted himself off while giving a small sigh.

He cursed at himself for being this way. Why did he have to be so stubborn when asking for help. His colleagues were just trying to assist him with the amount of work he had left to do, but he refused out of guilt. He knew he should have let them, but of course Sunoo being Sunoo didn’t allow it.

Sunoo walked away meeting up with the same two he met from this morning.

“ Jungwon-ya, Niki-ya!” Sunoo called out.

Jungwon turned around giggling a bit at the others mistake while the taller one gave a confused look.

“ Sunoo Seonbae-nim. Nice meeting you here again.” Jungwon said as he bowed. The other quickly followed.

“ Ah…Sunoo Seonbae-nim. It’s um…Riki.” He said shyly.

Sunoo covered his mouth and apologized.

“ I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to get your name wrong.”

“ It’s fine. I actually like Niki better.”

Sunoo smiled at the others response.

“ So Sunoo Seonbae-nim are you showing us around?” Jungwon asked.

Sunoo turned his head, “ Yes. We’ll start with well the main lobby since we’re here then I’ll show you probably around the office and lastly-“

“ Care if I join?” A voice from behind the blonde asked.

Sunoo shot his head around at the familiar voice.

“ Heeseung Seonbae-nim. What are you doing here?”

Jungwon and Riki gasped.

“ Lee Heeseung!? It’s a pleasure to meet you! I’m Yang Jungwon and this is Nishimura Riki. We’ve heard many great things about you and hope we get to work by you sometime! We also heard that your earliest product sky rocketed in sales recently!”

Jungwon quickly mentioned out of excitement.

Heeseung grinned at the boy’s action,

“I’m honored, but really it’s not that serious. I’m just a normal employee like Sunoo-nim.”

Sunoo gave an offensive side eye.

“ He’s just joking he knows he’s the best, but supposedly won’t admit to it. And apparently I’m just a regular employee even though someone over here doesn’t know how to fix a printer.”

Sunoo mentioned slyly and secretly pointed a finger towards the older one while trying to hide his laughter. They had gotten closer within the time they spent together since there was a lot more teasing.

Heeseung gasped and turned his head towards the younger one, “ Hey! You said you weren’t going to tell anybody that!”

Sunoo shrugged cheekily, “ Your loss. You shouldn’t have trusted me.”

Sunoo then whispered to the two interns, but loud enough for the other to hear,

“ He also enjoys the praising, so make sure to do it often.” Sunoo indicated as he slightly giggled.

The other rolled his eyes playfully and chuckled as he watched the boy whisper about him.

“ So Heeseung Seonbae-nim what brings you here?” Niki questioned.

“ I’m here to help you with the tour since someone didn’t want to ask for help.” He said eyeing the fox-eyed boy.

Sunoo impulsively gave a small smack on the other’s shoulder while pouting.

“ I didn’t even say that. Don’t listen to him he’s just making things up.” Sunoo pouted while turning towards the other two.

Heeseung dramatically touched his arm from the pain.

Sunoo shook his head while smiling,“ Anyways. Let’s head toward the main entrance and start from there.”

Heeseung looked up.

” So I can join right?”

“ Is there any way I can get you to not?”

Heeseung shook his head.

” Welp then that’s your answer.”

Sunoo walked away as the other three quickly sprinted behind.

—————

The four were busy chatting as they seemed to be getting along well with one another.

They decided to make a small stop at the cafe inside the company’s building for a short break before going on the tour once more.

Riki and Heeseung were beside the other two as Riki seemed to start the conversation and were deeply discussing about supposedly which ramyeon was their favorite. Well it was more of Heeseung giving a whole presentation on the best ramyeons while Riki listened attentively.

Jungwon and Sunoo on the other hand curiously listened about what the two were talking about and quickly started their conversation right after.

“ Sunoo Seonbae-nim?” The boy with light brown hair whispered.

Sunoo gave a small hum and leaned in to hear the other.

“ Are by any chance close to… Jay Seonbae-nim?”

He quickly turned away slightly embarrassed at his question.

“ Yea. We’ve known each other since highschool.” He said responding, but curious to why he was asked the certain question.

“ Like really close?”

Sunoo was surprised when he realized what the boy was trying to ask and didn’t take long for him to respond.

“ Ah-No. We’re just close friends that’s all. There’s nothing going on between us, but why ask?”

Jungwon’s face was flustered with red.

“ Well…No reason. You guys seemed really close when you guys met, so I thought that it may have been like that. I thought it was nice to have people around express themselves comfortably like that and I wouldn’t have to worry about…”

Jungwon pursed his lips.

“ People…I’m sorry for jumping to conclusions. I know it may have sounded weird to be asked that since you’re probably…you know…into girls.”

Sunoo slowly covered his mouth in shock.

“ Oh… You’re… It’s alright. I tend not to hold grudges against people. So…I’m assuming you’re…into guys?” Sunoo tried to say in the kindest way possible.

Jungwon didn’t say anything, but simply nodded.

Sunoo could tell the boy was slightly ashamed of himself and uncomfortable. Sunoo put his hand on his shoulder to relieve any tension inside the cat-eyed boys body.

“ Hey. It’s alright. I usually never say this to anyone, but I did like a guy. I thought he was the best sweetest guy as I used to watch him from afar. Turns out he was…manipulative, so I never tried dating again. Nothing to be ashamed of though.”

He felt the stiffness slowly loosen from the others body. Jungwon turned around.

“ Really? I thought I was weird for liking men since everyone around me liked girls… my parents think being a boy and liking guys is…stupid. Now I’m nervous to tell my parents that I like men… what would they think of me…”

Sunoo comforted the boy by slightly rubbing his back.

“ Honestly, who cares what people think? You get to decide whether or not who you like. Not them. You don’t need to change who you are they’re the one’s that need to accept it. Who you like doesn’t affect your personality and they need to learn that. It’s ok not to have a comfortable spot just yet as you may be finding out how to work through it.“

Sunoo shined a smile towards the other as it glistened in the sun’s rays that entered through the transparent windows.

Jungwon was bewildered at the other’s statement. He felt somewhat comfortable talking with him even though they met that day. It was like the boy knew what he was going through and that’s what the boy appreciated.

The blonde then chuckled.

“ Funny isn’t it. I’m saying this to you even though I can’t even follow my own words…”

There was now a small silence. An awkward silence. Jungwon was about to say something, but was interrupted by the fox-eyed boy.

“ Let’s get going before we’re late I don’t think the president would like that.” Sunoo announced as he stood up and pushed his chair in.

Jungwon stared at the boy worriedly.

“ Sunoo Seonbae-nim? Are you okay?”

Sunoo laughed, but there was a slight nervousness in his voice.

“ Yea. Why wouldn’t I be. Best of the best. C’mon don’t want to be late.”

Sunoo spun around a rapidly walked away not noticing he had left the other three standing there either confused or worried.

—————

As he walked Sunoo smacked himself in the head over a million times. He was getting emotional again when it had nothing to do with whoever he was talking to.

“ Sunoo. Stop it. Why does it always occur whenever you talk to someone? There was no need to start on your past since it had nothing to do with Jungwon-ya. Just act like nothing happened and everything will be fine. Everything won’t be fine if you keep talking about it.”

Sunoo didn’t know how to feel now. What was he going to do? He wanted to express himself, but he couldn’t find the heart to talk to anyone even his Jay hyung. He felt that if he talked to someone he would make a fool out of himself, so he just bottled it up inside.

Sunoo stopped and steadied his breath since he felt tears forming behind his eyes. He stared at the ground for a bit until he heard feet shuffling from behind him.

“ Sunoo-nim? Why’d you walk so fast.” An out of breath Heeseung said putting his hands on his hips.

Following behind were the two interns trying their best to keep up with their older one. The two almost tumbled down when Jungwon suddenly came to a halt and was then bumped by a tall Riki.

“ Sorry everyone. I promise I won’t do that again. Shall we continue?” Sunoo said showcasing a small grin on his lips.

Riki put a hand up, “ Wait. Let us catch a breath first. Heeseung Seonbae-nim’s way too fast.”

Sunoo giggled, “ Alright. I’ll wait.”

And the four stood there for a minute before they continued their journey around the building.

Chapter 5: Our first “Date”

Notes:

Hi~

I’m not sure if this chapter will be to your liking since I haven’t been all that productive to write or have the energy to, so it may not be as good 😅

But I still hope you like this chapter!

Chapter Text

Sunoo was busy looking for his outfit for this afternoon.

He had just refreshed himself with a nice warm shower since today was a lot more stressful.

After work, as Sunoo promised, the two were going out for dinner since the auburn haired wanted to make up for the blonde’s kindness even though he refused multiple times.

Clothes were thrown and scattered all over the floor as Sunoo rummaged for an outfit from his closet.

He didn’t want to look to formal as it would be uncomfortable and awkward since they were just going to eat ramyeon, so it be weird to dress fancy, but he didn’t want to wear something to casual and make himself look like he was too comfortable.

But he didn’t want to reveal too much skin either since there was a slight breeze and a coldness in the air that day, but he figured it would also be warm and humid inside the restaurant since they were eating ramyeon and a lot of steam would fill the air.

Sunoo didn’t know why he was overthinking things since he always went out, but then again he was going out with the famous Lee Heeseung and he didn’t want to look underdressed.

So after thirty minutes of deciding Sunoo finally decided on a white, loose long sleeve shirt that was thin with a pastel yellow t-shirt that layered over the white long sleeve. The shirt fell loose on top of his light blue pants  that covered the boy’s white ankle socks.

After choosing his outfit he grabbed his small bag and put on his shoes as he walked out of his apartment.

They decided to meet at a small dining area where the two would be eating.

Once he arrived Sunoo quickly sent a message to inform he was there as he was a bit early than the time they had planned.

The other boy quickly responded saying he’d be there in a few minutes.

After waiting a car pulled up. A boy with auburn hair that fell over his doe like eyes appeared out of the car wearing a cream, buttoned up long sleeve shirt that was rolled up to his elbows. His shirt was also tucked into the brown pants he was wearing.

And damn was he fine.

Sunoo was then again questioning how this man wasn’t an idol with that perfect face of his. Especially in an outfit like that. The taller one could have worn pajamas and still look handsome as hell.

“ Sunoo-nim? Are you alright?”

Sunoo snapped out of thought when he figured he stared for a little too long.

“ What-yea I’m alright. You look handsome by the way.” Sunoo said mustering up the courage to say as they started walking towards their destination.

Heeseung grinned at the compliment.

“ Thanks, even though I’ve heard that one too many times.” He teased.

Sunoo crossed his arms, “ Okay Mr. Popular. We know you’re famous.” Sunoo remarked as he playfully rolled his eyes.

Heeseung chuckled, “ I’m kidding. Could say the same about you. Yellow suits you pretty well.”

Sunoo blushed a bit, “ Really? I always thought yellow wasn’t my best color. I’d prefer maybe a light blue or pink.”

Heeseung nodded, “ I think it makes your skin glow brighter.”

Sunoo gave a smile before they reached the restaurant.

Heeseung quickly opened the door before the other could.

Sunoo thanked the boy as he walked into the half filled room with customers.

The two quickly found their seats and started ordering.

“ So, heard you’re a big fan of ramyeon. Do you come here often?” Sunoo asked starting a conversation after the waitress took their orders.

Heeseung shook his head slightly embarrassed.

“ Yea I guess you could say that. It’s actually my first time here. I’ve tried many other places though.”

The two then happily started talking.

—————

After about a twenty five minute wait their food finally came steamy and fresh. They both started drooling at the delicious smell and the taste was even better.

The two finished both their bowls and happily exited the restaurant satisfied.

“ Feels like there’s a baby in my stomach.” Sunoo said patting his stuffed belly.

“ That just means the food was good.” Heeseung responded.

They both laughed before Heeseung asked.

“ Up for some dessert?”

Sunoo gasped, “ It’s like you read my mind! Of course! There’s always room for dessert am I right?”

“ Whatever you say. I think there’s a store nearby around the corner we can check that out if you want.”

Sunoo nodded, “ As long as there’s mint chocolate any place is fine with me.”

“ Mint chocolate…” Heeseung questioned.

“ Yep my favorite flavor.”

Heeseung gave a concerned look,“ Doesn’t that taste like toothpaste to you?”

Sunoo’s jaw dropped as he gave an offensive look towards the doe-eyed.

“ How dare you compare my mint chocolate chip to toothpaste! That’s discrimination if you ask me.”

Heeseung chuckled at the boy who crossed his arms and pouted slightly.

“ Is it really that serious?”

“ Yes. Yes it is. You offended me and my favorite flavor of ice cream. And you will not be forgiven unless you have a full cup of it and say it’s the best ice cream flavor of all time.”

“ Oh, it is that serious.”

They reached the small ice cream shop and ordered their ice cream.

—————

“ Do I really have to eat it?”

Sunoo shrugged and giggled a bit.

“ I mean you don’t have to I’ll just never forgive you the rest of my life for insulting my favorite flavor of ice cream. Also my question is how do you like rainbow sherbet? That flavors…interesting…”

He said looking at the other cup he held that was full of the other boy’s favorite ice cream.

“Fine… if it makes you happy…But hey. Rainbow sherbet is not that bad. You should definitely give it a try other than your mint chocolate.” Heeseung said.

He slowly scooped the ice cream from the cup and moved it towards his mouth.

“ Is that Lee Heeseung!”

The two boys turned their heads. Running came a few interviewers that suddenly crowded the boy. Due to all the commotion he dropped the cup of ice cream.

“ Heeseung how’s it feel for your sales to go up?”

“ People are asking how you have such a handsome face?”

“ Your face is an absolute beauty. How come you didn’t become an idol instead?”

Questions were thrown left and right to the boy. He stood there his voice lost. He wanted to speak, but he didn’t know how to answer them.

“ Uh…”

“Excuse me. Sorry. He’s busy at the moment. I think we should go.”

Sunoo pushed the crowd out of the way as he held the boy’s hand and broke into a sprint.

“ C’mon. We have to get out of here before things get worse.” Sunoo said looking at the crowd that was following from behind.

They made it to an empty pier after they saw that they had lost the crowd.

They both took deep breaths since they were full on sprinting earlier. The cold air brushed against their faces as the sound of the waves crashed against the wood from the pier.

“ Thanks…you helped me once again…” Heeseung said still breathing heavily.

“ It’s no big deal. No one should have to answer questions without consent first.”

Heeseung stared at the boy once again. The boy was made of pure kindness and at this point he didn’t know how to repay him.

Heeseung walked up towards the edge of the pier looking at the waves that rowed continuously in sync.

“ You alright?” Sunoo asked concerningly as he walked up to the boy standing next to him.

Heeseung sighed, “ Do you think I’m more than just a handsome face?”

Sunoo nodded surprised by the sudden question, “ Of course.”

“ No I mean really. Do you really think my skills are more than just my face.”

Sunoo thought about it for a minute before he responded.

“ Yes. I really do. You’re willing to help others even when they don’t ask for it. Like today you helped me even when I insisted no. That’s something more than just a handsome face if you ask me. And the way you have an intelligent mind is honestly incredible. Well maybe not when it comes to the printer.”

Sunoo slightly teased before he was nudged by the taller one playfully.

“ I’m kidding, but really. If people think you’re just a handsome face and can’t see your capabilities then that’s their loss.”

Heeseung silently listened to each and every one of those words.

He felt that he finally found someone that doesn’t just look at his handsome face, but what he’s able to showcase to others, and that’s what he liked about the boy most.

He didn’t just look on the outside, but on the inside of others. He helps them not physically, but mentally. He’s able to give others what they need.

Hope. Love. And Comfort.

He was like a ray of sunshine that can warm and brighten anyone’s day.

And maybe it was something Heeseung needed in his life.

A Sunshine of Hope.

Chapter 6: Your Crazy Thoughts

Notes:

Hi~Hi~

I’m sorry for the delay! I’ve been busy with tests and it’s been hard to focus on writing these days. 😅

I still hope you enjoy this chapter even though it may be rushed!

Chapter Text

The next day ever since the two departed Heeseung was experiencing things he never had before.

New emotions.

Awkward interactions.

And especially crazy thoughts.

—————

It was just a regular Tuesday morning for everyone. The sound of shoes clicked on the marble floors as people rushed towards their meetings and offices while typing sounds could be heard around the company walls.

Well maybe not for a certain boy.

Heeseung walked into the building his mind full of thoughts and regrets ever since earlier this morning.

First off, he couldn’t sleep nearly the whole night since all he could think about was the boy’s words or maybe even the blonde boy.

Second, due to his lack of sleep and coffee he was late and couldn’t function the way he always does every morning.

His classic routine of washing up, getting ready, and making a cup of coffee on the go was not on his agenda that morning and that made his morning miserable.

Unluckily, he woke up late since he didn’t hear his alarm going off. After he had finally got some rest he didn’t want to be disturbed.

So as he scrambled out of bed he quickly brushed his teeth while trying to button his white shirt and look for a pair of pants not caring whether or not how he looked. (He’d probably would still look good in it anyway)

Before he was about to leave he took a quick glance at the clock when he set his coffee down and grabbed his keys before leaving.

8:04

He was already four minutes late and the drive was five to ten minutes away.

Heeseung cursed at himself. He had never been this late before. Usually a good three to five minutes before, but fifteen minutes was a stretch.

Even worse. The president did not like late workers since he thought people like that were irresponsible.

That’s when Heeseung realized he wouldn’t be hearing the end of it from the president.

He rushed out the door running towards his car and quickly raced off.

Heeseung thought while his adrenaline ran through his veins from the sudden rush to his car and his knee shook in anxiety when he felt like something was missing. Like a part of his routine had been forgotten due to his blank mind.

His coffee…

He left it on the small counter as he had rushed to grab his keys. He could’ve bought one at the company, but of course his luck not being in sight that morning he had left it right next to the now probably cold coffee on the counter.

Heeseung smacked his head on the steering wheel. The one time he was extremely late he had to forget both his wallet and coffee that would have kept him sane the whole day.

—————

Back at the company Heeseung was nervous about the criticism he would be getting from the president. He sat in his seat fidgeting with a random pen hoping he hadn’t noticed his late absence and would hopefully get a freebie just this once.

Without coffee in his body and sleep he didn’t feel the energy he needed to get through the day and a warning from the boss was enough to tick him off.

Well that is until he spotted a blonde boy walking his way holding just what he needed. The blonde that had been on his mind ever since their last encounter. The one who caused him to be late.

“ Morning Heeseung Seonbae-nim.” A sweet voice rang through the taller one’s ears.

That immediately woke Heeseung up. A slight energy boosted inside of him.

“ Good morning Sunoo-nim. What brings you here?” He said trying to sound calm and professional.

“ Just wanted to bring some coffee for you. Jaeyun-nim didn’t want it, so I wanted to ask before I throw it away. I heard it was your favorite so I assumed you may have wanted it? I mean if you had coffee already is fine…Heeseung-nim?”

Heeseung was quiet for a moment. Like something had caught his eye or maybe someone…

Heeseung gave a small hum, “Sure, yea, just leave it here. Uh…thanks by the way.” He said quite awkwardly.

He quickly shifted his eyes away from the shorter one in embarrassment.

Sunoo happily plopped it on the desk when a cold chilling voice made the air go still.

” Lee Heeseung.” The voice said making the two freeze entirely.

Heeseung turned around when he realized the only voice it could belong to was the president.

” Sir…I was late because of…reasons…I promise to not let this slide again…”

The two stared at each other for a moment while Sunoo kept looking between the two as the tension filled the air.

Suddenly, the president burst into laughter.

“ Heeseung! My man! It’s alright! I’ll let you go just this once.” He said wrapping an arm around his shoulder.

He then left singing happily and walked out of the office.

The other two sighed in relief and looked at each other before laughing.

“ Wow. The special boy was late today?”

Heeseung rolled his eyes in a playful manner, “ It was just this once. I already promised to never let it happen again.”

Sunoo chuckled a bit leaving the older one mesmerized.

“ Anyways I’ve got to go. My work can’t finish by itself.” He said giving his bright elegant smile before he walked away.

Heeseung watched the boy until he was out of view before he rummaged through the bag taking the coffee out swiftly, but carefully.

A grin formed on his face as he took a small sip forming into a bigger one.

Just what he needed. A coffee. And even better it was from the blonde. He quickly shifted his attention towards his computer ready to start his work still smiling smugly.

—————

Heeseung once again stared blankly at his computer screen.

He was bored like he was yearning for something to entertain him or brighten his day, but it was the same old work that sat on his desk waiting for him to start writing.

Heeseung sighed.

A face then popped into his mind randomly.

The same blonde that had slightly messy hair that covered his forehead. His glossy skin that glistened in the sun’s essence even though it glistened anyway with or without sunlight. And his cute sly fox eyes that gave his sassy and cheeky side.

Heeseung chuckled at the image a sight he had been wanting to see even after receiving a coffee from him.

He immediately dropped the thought after coming back to reality.

He slapped himself multiple times before finally turning his focus onto the paper in front of him.

What the hell is wrong with me!

Why are you thinking about him!

He’s just a regular colleague that you have recently gotten close with. Nothing else.

So get these stupid thoughts out of your head!

Thoughts circled and lingered around the boy’s mind. It was like he was slowly losing his mind over a specific boy.

—————

Right after that Heeseung had encouraged himself to start a conversation with the boy since he had supposedly nothing to do.

He walked away from his desk stepping closer towards the other’s.

He gave a quick glance to make sure he wasn’t occupied and made a move.

“ S-“

“ Sunoo Seonbae-nim!” Another voice quickly yelled before the auburn haired.

Heeseung stepped back as he watched the two start a conversation.

A tall Japanese boy was busy asking the blonde about a certain subject that was relevant to the paper the taller one was holding.

Heeseung then noticed the other leaning closer towards the fox-eyed whispering something in his ear.

Sunoo playfully hit the younger one’s arm and the two burst into a sudden laughter.

Heeseung watched, his brows furrowed as he continued to look at the two playfully teasing each other.

He hadn’t noticed his curled fists that were slowly turning white the tighter he clenched it.

What was this feeling?

Why didn’t he like the two interacting with each other?

Was it…Jealousy…

Heeseung shook his head and denied it.

Why are you jealous for?

There’s no relationship between us so why do you feel this pit of fury?

And with that Heeseung turned around rethinking his thoughts.

He couldn’t possibly like the boy right?

Right

Chapter 7: Your advice

Notes:

Sorry for the late chapter again 😞

But I finally finished this chapter 💪😤

Anyways enough wasting time. Hope you have fun reading this chapter although it may be short.

(Side Note: If mainly focuses on Jakehoon or HoonJake. Whatever you call it) 🥳

Chapter Text

Heeseung hadn’t been the only one late that day.

A boy rushed into the company building shoving and pushing through crowds as he tried to race towards the elevator.

Jake had supposedly stayed up late that night playing games and ended up playing till two in the morning.

He then met the elevator door and continuously tapped the elevator buttons anxiously waiting for it to open.

The doors slowly opened and inside stood a tall figure with faded blonde hair and dark brown eyes.

As he rushed into the elevator he crashed into the unknown figure causing his papers in his bag to go flying.

Jake fell to the ground rubbing his forehead trying to soothe the pain as he shot his head up at the man.

Park Sunghoon stood there eyes focused on the other as he laid there. Coffee was spilled on his suit, but what was left on his face was a cold, calm, and unreadable expression.

Jake couldn’t tell whether or not he was furious at him or he actually didn’t care that coffee had just stained a perfectly white undershirt and probably expensive suit.

Jake silently gasped at himself as he hurriedly fixed his glasses and his now wrinkled suit. He picked his unorganized papers up while trying to find balance as he stood up.

He grabbed a pack of tissues from his bag and quickly started wiping the taller boy’s suit before leaving towards his office in a rush.

Sunghoon turned around and watched the boy leave. He turned back around and sighed as he slowly chuckled to himself.

He then walked towards the bathroom composing himself while cleaning his shirt and suit off.

—————

Jake sat in his seat slightly terrified and humiliated after the accident near the elevator. His ears were slightly red from embarrassment and his cheeks were burning.

He brushed his hair nervously wondering how he was going to make it up to the blonde one after completely forgetting that he was late and should be worrying about the scolding from the president.

He had just bumped into his crush causing his coffee to spill which probably made him furious. That was one of the worst things to do in front of your crush and he had just done that. It was honestly the end of the world for him.

Jake smacked his head on the table multiple times before wincing from the pain.

“ Woah! Jake hyung! What are you doing smacking yourself!”

Sunoo ran to his side stopping him from the boy’s crazy actions.

Jake looked at him with puppy eyes and laid his head back on the desk.

“ Sunghoon-nim hates me…”

Sunoo looked at him confused.

“ Why’s that?”

Jake hesitated before mumbling a few words, “ I accidentally bumped into him which caused his coffee to spill all over him. After that he gave me a cold expression…”

Sunoo smacked his head with his hand.

“ Jake you idiot. Of course you weren’t paying attention to your surroundings. And let me guess you were late today because you stayed up late playing games. How many times do I have to tell you to stop staying up to play games otherwise you’ll end up getting fired.”

Sunoo scolded in motherly tone.

Jake frowned.

“ Okay…I’m sorry…now what should I do… he probably doesn’t want to talk to me anymore or maybe even worse look at me…”, Jake whined.

Being late was now the least of his concerns.

Sunoo patted the boy’s back.

“ Stop overthinking it. You just have to talk to him that’s it. Apologize to him and everything will be fine. I’ve also known Sunghoon-nim for a while and he’s definitely not someone that hates people after spilling his coffee. If anything he would probably be mad at himself for hurting you.”

Jake stared at Sunoo,” Are you sure? It wasn’t his fault though. I bumped into him.”

Sunoo then asked, “ I’m sure of it. You want some coffee? I bought you some and was about to give it to until I found you smacking yourself.”

He said trying to switch topics.

Jake shook his head.

“ Not really in the mood… I think embarrassing and humiliating yourself is enough for me to wake up.”

Sunoo shrugged while trying to hide in his giggle.

“ Suit yourself. I guess I’ll have to find someone else to drink it then.”

“ Why not just throw it away? Or drink it yourself?” Jake asked as he turned his head towards the blonde.

“ Cause that would be a waste of my time and money. I payed nearly 8 bucks for this and I had to wait 20 minutes. I also already had coffee and that made my stomach sick. I think I had enough coffee this morning.”

Sunoo gave a disgusted expression as he argued back and walked away to find someone to drink it.

—————

Jake was tapping away on his computer as he was completely focused on his screen.

He decided to put his thoughts aside and work to put his mind on something else.

It was working that is until the same boy from earlier came his way approaching him quietly.

“ Jaeyun-nim?”

Jake flinched at the sound and immediately turned around locking eyes with a certain boy.

Jake’s body tensed.

“ Good uh… afternoon Sunghoon-nim…” Jake greeted nervously as he managed to pluck up all the courage to at least say something and not make it anymore awkward.

“ Good afternoon to you too. Can I talk to you for a moment in private?”

Jake held his breath. Right at that moment he was done for. He wanted to say no, but his brain couldn’t resist.

“ Yea…sure…uh just hang on a second.”

Jake shifted his body toward his computer to shut it off as he regretted every word he just said.

The two then walked into a secluded room where nobody would be able to hear them.

The two stood there awkwardly as they both waited for one to start talking.

More like Jake was waiting for the other to start, but Sunghoon was just standing there looking at him while he tried to avoid eye contact.

Jake grew impatient by the minute and decided to start.

“ So…are you here to talk to me about earlier?” Jake asked trying to keep calm.

Sunghoon then broke his gaze from him and looked at him confused.

“ What?”

“ About earlier. You know when I accidentally bumped into you spilling your coffee. I promise it wasn’t on purpose I wasn’t paying attention and I was running late-“

“ No it’s not about that.” Sunghoon intervened before the other could say more.

” Sorry…was I talking too much?”

Jake looked at the floor as he waited for an answer, but nothing came. Instead the sound of laughter rang through the boy’s ear.

He looked up to see a smiling Sunghoon. One that melted any case of his ice cold expression from earlier. It was full of sweetness and warmth that burned the boy’s cheeks.

Jake stood there in awe. It was his first time hearing the boy’s laugh and it was…

absolutely handsome…

Once the laughter died down Sunghoon asked, “ Were you worried I was going to yell at you or something?”

Jake didn’t how to respond, but did with an embarrassed nod.

“ How was I supposed to know with that nerve racking face of yours. Couldn’t tell if you were angry or not. You’d probably tell me to do a month’s worth of work.”

Jake slightly teased.

Sunghoon chuckled once again.

“ I guess that makes sense. You never know maybe I just will.” He shot back.

Jake smiled cheekily and asked, “ So, Why’d you ask me to talk to you?”

Sunghoon shifted his head towards the puppy-eyed.

“ Well…there’s something I wanted to tell you since I need advice.”

“ That is?” Jake said anxiously waiting.”

“ I think I like someone…but I don’t know how to tell them. I want to ask if you could help me?”

Jake’s heart dropped. It was like his whole world had fallen apart. His heart slowly broke into pieces as he heard the blonde’s words play into his mind again.

I think I like someone…

I like someone…

Sunghoon liked someone else and he was asking him for advice.

How was he so stupid for liking Sunghoon when he obviously didn’t like him back. He should have known it was coming but why’d it still hurt him.

And it hurt hard…

Jake quickly put on a smile.

“ Of course…what advice do you need…”

Chapter 8: My Crazy Thoughts…

Notes:

Okay. First off I’m really sorry for the long wait for this chapter I just haven’t been online as much and putting effort into writing these past few days, but I am back with another chapter! I really hope you enjoy it!😊

Chapter Text

Sunoo was busy in a search to find someone.

Specifically a guy about 5’11, auburn hair, and very, very handsome who looked good in anything he wore. And I mean anything.

The classic Lee Heeseung.

Sunoo found out from a colleague that the coffee he was holding was the boy’s favorite, so of course he had to ask first.

But it wasn’t just that. He wanted to ask and he didn’t know why. Ever since yesterday he’d been wanting to hang out with him more, talk to him, and get closer to him like a magnet that couldn’t be separated.

Once he spotted the doe-eyed boy he walked up joyfully holding the bag in hand.

“ Morning Heeseung Seonbae-nim.”

Sunoo greeted as he carefully placed the coffee on the table.

“ Good morning Sunoo-nim. What brings you here?”

“Just wanted to bring some coffee for you. Jaeyun-nim didn’t want it, so I wanted to ask before I throw it away. I heard it was your favorite so I assumed you may have wanted it? I mean if you had coffee already is fine…Heeseung-nim?”

Sunoo’s eyes then fell onto the others for a moment before a small hum was then heard from the taller one.

“Sure, yea, just leave it here. Uh…thanks by the way.” He said quite awkwardly.

His eyes diverted away from the blonde’s. Sunoo stood there slightly confused.

The president then popped up and came with a slight chilling voice before Heeseung tried to prove his reasons to why he was late.

” Lee Heeseung…”

Was the President actually going to scold Heeseung?

And was he going to witness that right now?

Did he have to intervene if the President started yelling?

Sunoo’s thoughts raced anxiously as he watched the tension between the auburn hair and president fill the air.

“Heeseung! My man! It’s alright! I’ll let you go just this once.”

The President laughed as he put an arm around the boy’s shoulder.

Sunoo stood there slightly shocked at the President’s reaction, but gave an unnoticeable sigh of relief knowing the president was mad.

I mean who would. He’s The Lee Heeseung. The one who did everything right and perfect. One mistake is never noticeable if it came to Heeseung.

Heeseung laughed awkwardly before the two watched as the President walked away happily singing to himself.

Sunoo turned his head to meet with Heeseung’s before they burst into a slight laughter.

“ Wow. The special boy was late today?” Sunoo said teasing the older one.

It was just this once. I already promised to never let it happen again.” Heeseung said as he rolled his eyes playfully.

Sunoo chuckled before saying,

“Anyways I’ve got to go. My work can’t finish by itself.”

Sunoo smiled before turning away. His smile growing wider the more steps he took as he walked away from Heeseung’s desk.

—————

Sunoo stretched his arms up in the air. Finishing his work he decided to head down for a quick snack before their meeting with the President.

Once Sunoo entered the first floor he ordered a few cakes from the cafe and excitedly took a seat.

As he waited he couldn’t help but overhear the conversation from the girls at table next to him. Well maybe because they were talking about a specific guy that seemed to make Sunoo interested.

“ I can’t believe we’re going to a beach resort this year! The president finally decided on something decent for our company trip!” One of the girls mentioned.

“ I know! I also heard Heeseung Seonbae-nim asked and since he’s our top seller the president agreed! Imagine going camping again like last year. That was absolute torture I could not survive in another one of those tents.”

Sunoo’s attention was fully on the girls conversation now.

A beach resort? That actually is pretty nice. I could finally relax from all the stress.

Camping was definitely not fun. A day with my skincare is horrifying.

Sunoo’s body shook at the thought. They were quickly interrupted when he heard something he probably shouldn’t have heard.

“ Imagine Heeseung Seonbae-nim shirtless! Oh I wonder how his abs would look like. It’s definitely rock hard.”

Sunoo’s body froze as his face grew redder.

H-Heeseung shirtless? Abs? Rock hard?

Sunoo shook his head trying to get these images out of his head, but they just wouldn’t go away. The more he thought about it the more he grew flustered.

His auburn hair wet as he combed it back to get it out of his face but his bangs quickly falling back making him look sexy.

His doe eyes piercing right through him like he was some sort of predator who hadn’t eaten in days and was ready to eat anything that came his way.

And of course that body of his. Those broad shoulders and giant muscles that could carry anything if you just asked. Hard abs that he could flex to all the girls and make them drool over him.

“ Excuse me? Sir?”

Sunoo stood up.

“ I promise I’m not thinking anything weird! Definitely not about someone with majestic aburn hair and beautiful eyes.”

Everyone in the small cafe turned their heads to look at him.

Sunoo covered his mouth. He felt his face burn after humiliating himself in front of some colleagues.

“ Uh… I was going to tell you your order’s here sir…” The waitress awkwardly informed.

Sunoo apologized for his actions and turned his head in embarrassment after sitting back down in his seat.

His life was officially over and it was all because of stupid Lee Heeseung and his handsomeness.

—————

Everyone sat in the meeting room as the President talked about upcoming sells and the new products that were to be sold.

“ Alright enough about the sells let’s talk about our upcoming trip!” The President proudly announced.

Everyone cheered and clapped hands with each other.

“ So, we have decided on a beach trip. We rented a beach resort for three days and everything has already been paid for. We head out tomorrow morning and I hope to see all of you there. Be sure not to be late otherwise you’ll be missing out on the fun. Especially the drinking.”

The president playfully informed before continuing.

“Also, I’d like to give a big thanks to our biggest seller Lee Heeseung! He helped with the buses. Another shout out to Park Jongseong for the help of getting the resort. Please give a big applause to these two!”

The two who were called respectfully stood up and bowed in a thankful manner as everyone applauded then sat back down.

The President then spoke again, “ Alright, alright settle down. We only have a few rooms so there will be two people in each room sharing. Everyone will get to choose, but I think it’s best to start with the two that have helped the most. Lee Heeseung and Park Jongseong.”

Jay was the first to start, “ I’m fine with anyone really. Anyone who wants to share with me can.”

Jay then sat back down and Heeseung stood up.

Sunoo looked away hoping he wasn’t chosen. Knowing there were many options before him there was a great chance he wasn’t going to get picked.

Sunoo didn’t hate him he was just nervous about sharing a room with the famous Lee Heeseung everyone was hoping to share a room with.

Sharing a room mean’t seeing a shirtless Heeseung and he was definitely not ready for that or prepared. After embarrassing himself earlier he hoped to never encounter something like that again otherwise it really will be the death of him.

Everyone eagerly waited for his answer since it was honestly a dream to share a room with the popular Lee Heeseung.

“ I want to share a room with Kim Sunoo. If that’s fine with him of course.”

Sunoo sighed quietly. He cursed at himself.

Dang it! Why are you always against me world!

Everyone shot their heads towards the boy.

Sunoo’s body tensed seeing everyone’s gaze on him.

“ Uh…”

He knew everyone was hoping he said no so they would have a chance and his brain was telling him that too, but when his eyes locked with Heeseung’s he knew it was over.

His eyes were literally asking him to agree. How could he say no to that.

“ Yea…that’s fine with me…” Sunoo agreed.

Sunoo gave a quick glance at Heeseung to see a bright grin spread across his face.

The feeling of being watched and eyed by others was gone. All he felt was his heart pounding, cheeks were growing pinker, and a warm sensation filling his body.

Sunoo questioned himself again.

Was this… love?

Chapter Text

Sunoo took a deep breath. In front of him sat a bus that would be taking him to a beach resort.

Of course once he got onto the bus the feeling of excitement filled his veins.

That is until a wave of anxiousness washed over him when he remembered that he was going to share a room with none other than Lee Heeseung.

It’s not like he didn’t like the guy it’s just that if he, out of some sort, revealed his feelings for him or did anything stupid to reveal it his life would be completely over. Even worse if he didn’t like him back.

Yes. Sunoo has thought it over and figured that he liked Heeseung.

But who wouldn’t? Have you’ve seen the guy!?

(A/N: I have and his beauty is to hot to handle! I mean he is my bias wrecker after all! Sorry for the interruption you may continue.)

So, to avoid any sort of embarrassment he decided it was best to not have any sort of contact with Heeseung.

Suddenly a memory played inside his head. A memory he didn’t want to remember...

His breath started pacing the more the memory played. He felt a pit in his stomach drop making him go sick even though the bus hadn’t moved yet.

Sunoo aggressively shook his head in fear as he tried to steady his breathing.

After calming down he took one last deep breath.

Heeseung would never do that right...

Right...

And for whatever reason luck never wanted to benefit Sunoo either. As soon as he made eye contact with Heeseung the boy waved him over indicating for him to sit with him.

Sunoo shifted his gaze away swiftly and sat in the first empty seat he saw hoping that Heeseung would realize he didn’t notice him.

“ Sunoo-nim?” A voice called next to him.

Jungwon sat there a bit confused as he looked away from his phone.

“ Ah... sorry Jungwon-ya, but is anyone sitting here?”

“ Uh... I think Riki-ya was going to...but if you want to sit next to me then that’s fine. I’ll just message him to sit somewhere else.” Jungwon said turning his phone on and finding Riki’s contact.

“ Oh. That’s Okay. If Riki-ya wants to sit here then I can sit somewhere else. No need to message him.” Sunoo quickly replies before Jungwon could send a message.

“ Sunoo-nim could sit next to me. I don’t mind.” Someone called out from the aisle.

Sunoo’s body tensed once again. That voice could be recognized from anywhere.

It was Lee Heeseung once again.

“ Oh... Uh... Heeseung-nim... are you sure?”

Heeseung nodded in response.

It was silent for a moment. Sunoo didn’t know how to respond. A part of him was telling him to say no as it would be the right choice, but there it was again. Heeseung’s pleading for eyes that Sunoo could never resist.

“ Sure.”

Sunoo cursed at himself quietly inside his head.

Sunoo you stupid idiot!

Okay. Just act calm. No need to worry about it. It’s just a two hour drive with Heeseung sitting next to you. Nothing too serious.

Sunoo stood up and followed Heeseung towards his seat as he waved goodbye to Jungwon.

They both sat down once they reached their seats. Sunoo trying to avoid all eye contact at all cost, but gave in just a bit and gave a small glance at Heeseung.

Right as he looked at him the two locked eyes.

In that moment Sunoo felt butterflies form in his stomach. The longer the seconds went the more Sunoo lingered into Heeseung’s eyes and to make his heart ache even more he flashed his classic, bright smile that could make the world fall even deeper for him.

At that point Sunoo knew there was no escaping this madness. This was going to be the end of him.

And it was all because of Lee Heeseung...

—————

( Heeseung’s POV)

Little did Sunoo know the auburn haired boy was going to try every way that he can to get closer to him.

Heeseung sat there as a bunch of feelings rushed inside his body.

He was honestly a nervous wreck and he didn’t know what to do.

He was giving multiple glances at the bus’s entrance wondering if Sunoo was going to pop in soon while his knee was shaking furiously as he waited. He was like an eager puppy waiting for his owner to come back.

Heeseung knew his feelings and for him to feel emotions he never felt before he knew he liked the boy, but what he wanted to know was if he likes him back, so he decided to tell him his feelings.

A blonde boy then walked onto the bus. Heeseung’s eyes gleamed at the sight of the boy.

His soft, blonde hair that glistened in the sun and his beautiful fox eyes that would crinkle anytime he smiled brightly and his slightly chubby cheeks that Heeseung would squeeze anytime he had the chance to.

Everything was perfect about him and Heeseung couldn’t deny that. That’s when he decided he was going to tell him about his feelings.

Heeseung happily waves him over once they made eye contact. A slight frown then formed on his face when Sunoo turned to sit next to someone else.

Heeseung impulsively stood up and walked towards Sunoo. As he crept towards the two he couldn’t help, but overhear their conversation.

“ Oh. That’s Okay. If Riki-ya wants to sit here then I can sit somewhere else. No need to message him.”

Heeseung then took the chance and said, “ Sunoo-nim could sit next to me. I don’t mind.”

The two then looked at Heeseung.

“ Oh... Uh... Heeseung-nim... are you sure?”

Heeseung nodded in response hoping the boy would say yes.

“ Sure.”

Heeseung kept a cool, calm expression on his face as he gave a small grin. He was trying to keep his cool and not make this awkward.

Alright Heeseung keep it calm and control yourself. Sunoo will be sitting next to you for the next two hours, so don’t do anything stupid!

Heeseung thought while walking towards their seats.

Ever since they sat down Heeseung never took his eyes off Sunoo. He was like his favorite movie that could be replayed over and over again for hours and still not get tired of it.

That is until Sunoo turned to look at him.

His stomach churned. Sunoo had caught him staring at him, but it wasn’t because of that. The reason was because of him.

His pretty long lashes that fluttered every time he blinked and his radiant skin that looked soft at the touch all took Heeseung’s attention.

So, to cover any suspicion Heeseung smiled. Not his regular smile he would give to people like during interviews or coworkers. It was a genuine one that only the one he liked could see. One that would warm their heart and making them feel loved.

One he would only give to Sunoo...

—————

Meanwhile two other guys on the bus were figuring out their own problems.

Jake had gotten stuck with Sunghoon on the bus and was in a panicked state.

Sunghoon had asked for the two to talk on the bus since apparently he needed advice on asking someone out.

Jake had decided to help him since he thought it would be the closest he would be able to get to Sunghoon even though he liked the boy.

He thought there was no way Sunghoon would like him and it was all a one-sided love, so it was best to help him with whoever he liked instead of avoiding him and watching him fall in love with someone else.

Deep down though he knew he didn’t like it. He wanted Sunghoon to like him back, but there was no guaranteeing that, so he pushed those feelings aside as if it didn’t hurt him at all.

The two were on the bus as Sunghoon asked questions, while Jake would answer them.

” So, what’s a good place to take a date?” Sunghoon asked.

“ Well… it depends on what the person likes. If they prefer a nice, cozy area then maybe a walk through a park, a picnic, or even a small cafe area, but if their interests are thrilling and exciting things then maybe an amusement park or a scary movie.”

Sunghoon nodded in response,” but where would you mostly prefer to go?”

“ Maybe somewhere outdoor where I can talk about my interests and enjoy someone's presence. Like a picnic, but it’s full of surprises.” Jake respond impulsively.

Sunghoon wrote that down on his phone and continued his questioning.

“ What’s a gift you would want to be gifted? Or I mean- if a they wanted a gift?”

Jake gradually answered this one,” Probably… flowers, chocolates, or… stuffed animals. Those are mostly popular within gifting. I would honestly prefer snacks as a gift, but I also like spicy food and- Sunghoon? Are you Okay?”

Jake turned to look at him since he seemed to notice him staring at something. Specifically him.

” Is there something on my face?” Jake asked as he touched around his face to check for anything.

” W-what. No there's nothing. I was just… uh…lost in thought that’s all…” Sunghoon said as he turned away with his ears turning a slight red.

After a few minutes had passed Sunghoon said, “ I think that’s enough questions for now. I’ll ask you if I need some more help.”

Jake sat there a bit confused to why they suddenly stopped after two questions, but shrugged it off since the bus started moving.

But there was something off with the questions that he asked. It was like he was asking about him instead of asking for advice.

And it was slightly odd…

Chapter 10: Your Secrets You Keep From Me…

Notes:

So, I’m back with another chapter. 🥳

Disclaimer: This has nothing to do with the actual idols.

Anyways hope you like this chapter! (This also may be rushed)

Chapter Text

“ Look Jungwon hyung! The beach! Can we go after we unpack!” Riki exclaimed as he pointed out the window.

Jungwon smiled at the boy.

“ Sure!”

He always thought Riki was sometimes like a cute child excited to get his favorite toy, but he never wanted to admit to it. Whenever Jungwon teased him about it he would always try to act cool even though Jungwon knew he slightly enjoyed it. Sometimes it was the opposite too.

Once they got off the bus they were each given a key that unlocked their rooms. Everyone separated ways towards their rooms to unpack.

Jungwon quickly unlocked their room and flopped onto the bed.

“ Finally here. That drive was way too long.” Jungwon said stretching his arms out as he forced himself to turn his body around.

Riki smirked and flopped onto his hyung’s stomach.

“ Hyung. Let’s go to the beach!”

“ Maybe later. I think I’m going to take a nap first.” Jungwon quietly replied as he slowly closed his eyes.

“ But hyung! You promised earlier you would!”

Riki was now trying to pull Jungwon up into a sitting position, and Jungwon being light as a feather was easily pulled up.

“ Alright, alright. I’m up. Let me just change first.”

Jungwon gave a small chuckle at the boy’s behavior and headed towards the bathroom.

—————

“ Jungwon hyung are you ready!” Riki called as he stepped towards the front door eager to leave.

Jungwon busily tapping on his phone replied,“ Hold on let me text Sunoo-nim first to see if they want to head out too.”

“ Oh come on! We’ll just meet them there.”

Riki grabbed his hyung’s hand and rushed out the door.

“ Wait! Riki did you bring the sunscreen!”

—————

Jungwon sat on the warm sand as he watched the younger one rush into the water with the others.

“ Not swimming?” A boy with blonde hair said as he sat down next to him.

“ No. not yet. Just want to relax for a bit before Riki-ya forces me into the water.” Jungwon said playfully.

Sunoo giggled a bit before asking, “ You guys going to the hang out tonight?”

Jungwon gave him a confused look, “ What hang out?”

“ Well the President wants to hang out tonight, but I’m sure it’s just an excuse to drink.” Sunoo said as he rolled his eyes.

“ Oh. Well… I’m not really a good drinker, so I don’t really plan on drinking. I’ll probably be there to keep an eye on Riki-ya.” Jungwon said sheepishly, “ What about you? Are you planning on going?” He then asked.

Sunoo turned his head towards the cat looking boy.

“ Me? Probably, but for the same reason as you. Jaeyun-nim will probably get drunk again. And maybe even Jay-nim. Let’s just hope they don’t get too drunk. Carrying both of them is exhausting.”

The two then chuckled a bit.

” But… I really don’t want them getting too drunk though…” Sunoo said as there was a change of tone in his voice.

” Why’s that?”

” Well… I don’t want them doing something stupid like getting themselves injured or getting themselves into trouble. They’re… really the only one’s I have left… they’re like family to me.”

Jungwon’s eyes slightly widened, “ Oh… I’m sorry. It must have been hard.”

“ Jungwon hyung! Come in already!” Riki called.

The two turned towards the boy that called him over.

Jungwon smiled, “ Looks like it’s my turn, but I’m not going alone.”

He then pulled Sunoo by the arm, “ Riki-ya! Come help me!” He shouted as he started laughing at how Sunoo was try to resist.

“ Ah! Jungwon-ya let me go!”

The boy’s came to Jungwon’s side and easily picked up Sunoo lightly throwing him into the water which made everyone laugh when Sunoo started screaming at the top if his lungs.

It was one of those moments where everyone didn’t need drinking or partying to enjoy their vacation. All they needed was each other’s presence.

—————

Jungwon silently sat their as he watched his older colleagues drink into the night.

It was getting late and half of them were either slurring words while karaoking or sleeping on each other.

Jungwon figured it was best for the two to leave, but was in the middle of searching for him. After about fifteen minutes Jungwon finally found Riki on one of the couches.

Jungwon huffed in frustration knowing he was going to give him a scolding later for drinking too much.

Luckily Jungwon was strong enough to carry him up to the room. As they finally entered their room he got a message from his Sunoo hyung.

Sunoo-nim: Jungwon-ya I’m sorry for disturbing you, but I need your help! I don’t know where Jay-nim is and I don’t think he’s in the karaoke room with the others!

Jungwon immediately responded to the message

Jungwon: Of course Sunoo-nim. I’ll help you look around.

Sunoo-nim: Thank you Jungwon-ya! I’ll make sure to treat you soon. Again I’m sorry for them.

Jungwon then put Riki down on the bed before rushing out the door.

—————

Jungwon searched around the building hoping to find the missing older one. He was busy texting Sunoo while rushing around the corner.

Jungwon came to a halt. His body froze at the horrifying sight.

There he was. On the floor his back against the wall. His face covered with blood.

Jungwon then ran towards his side and helped him up.

“ Jay-nim! What happened! You’re bleeding!”

Jungwon quickly carried him up wrapping his arm around his waist as he put the boy’s arm around his neck.

Jungwon quickly texted Sunoo to grab a first aid kit and meet in his room as he carefully aided the older one to his room.

Jungwon opened the door to hear a snoring Riki. He slowly placed Jay on the empty couch that sat near the bed. Jungwon then wrapped a bandage he found in a drawer to stop the bleeding.

A slight knock was then heard.

“ It’s open.” Jungwon called out softly as the door clicked open.

Sunoo’s face was covered in worriedness and anger. Standing behind him stood Heeseung. Tension filled the air once the two walked in.

A frustrated sigh then came out of his mouth as he looked away and gave the first aid kit to Jungwon.

The light browned hair slowly reached for it as he knew the boy was having a hard time trying to process the situation and uncovered the bandage on his hyung’s head.

Sunoo gave a small gasp as he covered his mouth.

Jay then spoke,“ Sunoo I-”

“ Can explain? Go on then. Tell me why I had to bring an aid kit after trying to find you for an hour anxious and worried something had happened to you without any explanation.” He said with frustration in his voice.

Jay hesitated, “ I… I…”

“ Exactly. You can’t tell me. I don’t know why you're keeping it from me. All you end up doing is getting hurt and you know I don’t like it. Especially when you’re not in the right mind.”

Sunoo was now on the verge of tears.

“ I know and that’s exactly why I don’t want you knowing… you wouldn’t understand…”

Silence filled the air adding more to the tension.

“ I see how it is. Of course that’s how it is. I can never trust anyone huh? After so many years as best friends you still don’t trust me? No, even more the best friends. We were like brothers… I think we need a break from each other. I’ve taken care of you and Jake hyung to many times, but you guys just end up doing the same thing over and over again. And what do I get back? Nothing. I don’t think there’s anymore to talk about if you don’t want to talk about it. Right now you’re the last thing I want to see.”

He didn’t scream or shout. He didn’t say it with anger either. It was more of disappointment and betrayal inside his voice. Something that had happened to him before and was scared of it happening again. A trauma from the past the he didn’t want to reopen.

Sunoo exited out the door silently as silent tears fell down his face. He didn’t want to see or talk to anyone. He just wanted to be alone and overthink everything that happened tonight before talking again.

—————

Heeseung was going to go after him, but was stopped by a hand.

“ Let him go. Let him have his space that he needs. If he’s not ready then we let him be until he is. You should get some sleep. It’s nearly two in the morning. Get some rest.”

Heeseung sighed. He knew the boy was right and left the room with a small grin.

Once Jungwon closed the door he turned around towards the injured one.

“ I think it’s best you stay here. It’s not good to move and I know your room is on the next floor. I also think it’s best you talk to him soon. I know it’s none of my business, but you guys have been friends for a while and also keep in mind that you’re the only one he’s got besides Jaeyun-nim. What of something even worse than how you are right now happened. Imagine how Sunoo-nim would react.”

Jungwon then left into the bathroom leaving the hawk-eyed boy to rest.
