Kaede was preparing for a piano concert. She remembers being nervous as she adorned a blue gown about to perform a piece she's been trying to perfect for the entirety of last week. And she made sure she didn't end up staying up all night practicing her piano. Which she is starting to regret.
Sure if she did end up playing piano all night she could risk the chances of over sleeping and missing the performance but then maybe she wouldn't be so nervous about her upcoming performance if she did end up practicing all night.
So as gracefully as she could she walked to the stage in a slow manner making it seem she was at ease and super confident in herself. Which couldn't be more wrong but she doesn't necessarily want to worry her parents and sister in the crowd.
As she sat down she gazed down at the familiar piano before her. She took a deep breath with one last glance into the audience she began to play one of her favorite pieces. Clair de lune.
This piece was one of her favorites since she feels like she can feel the sun shining over her making her feel at peace. The sensation was calming and helped soothe her nerves which is why she decided to play this piece instead of a Beethoven or another old song. She wants to share the joy she feels when playing piano with others.
That's why she was always captivated when she saw people online playing the piano. The soft ringing of the keys through the air, the melody that composes itself and before she can help it, she would find herself wanting more.
So when she finished the song the clapping gets louder and she smiles seeing everyone happy with her playing. As she takes her bow the clapping suddenly stops.
Which made her confused. Did they not like her playing after all?
Before she could help it her face broke into confusion that she just couldn't keep hidden. Why did they stop? The announcer hadn't even announced the person after her yet.
She averted her gaze up and the realization clicked. A circular stone of some sort in a gold casing descended down slowly and before she realized it had landed into her palm.
It's a red vision with an engraving in the middle. A pyro vision.
See kaede learned of visions and how people around the world started receiving these quote on quote gifts from the gods, mostly religious people have dubbed it as so. Yet through her extensive research into these there weren't any known requirements for a vision.
So how did she receive one?
Nonetheless she doesn't get the time to ponder over it as she very much is still on the stage. Some of the audience pulled out their phones and started taking photos. As the announcer from before quickly got over the shock he ushered Kaede into the back.
In the back she sees her family rushing over to her and exclamations of excitement came from her mother. However her father and sister looked weirded out.
Her mother immediately makes her way towards Kaede and pulls her into a hug. “Y-you got a vision..! The gods have-“ her mother stuttered as tears flowed out of her eyes.
“The gods have acknowledged me..” Kaede realizes. Visions are said to be the imparted power from gods. Therefore the pyro archon has.. acknowledged her passion for piano.
Kaede can't help but gaze back down at the vision and smile.
“Hello?” A knock came from the door as two people in crisp black suits walked in holding a briefcase.
“Are you Akamatsu’s family?” The guy on the left asked and upon Kaedes fathers nod. He signalled for his partner, the guy on the right to go ahead and open the briefcase.
In the briefcase is a contract one for visions and the second is a highschool invitation letter. Kaede doesn't know whether to be surprised about the second letter or not.
“That's a hope's peak acceptance letter-!” Kaedes older sister blurted out once she recognized the school's logo. Kaede and her older sister never got along very well, but at least they could remain civil.
However Kaede could see the envy flash across her sister's face.
Her sister never had the passion for piano Kaede did. While Kaede pursued piano her sister was busy figuring out what she wanted to do. However her hobbies dropped as quickly as they came.
Kaede always noticed from her childhood that her parents doted on her just a bit more than her older sister.
Before Kaede could talk to her older sister, she was already leaving and Kaede was bombarded with the two papers. One being a packet and the other is a simple letter.
Hope's Peak middle school.
Kaede quickly filled the information for the government mandated documents regarding her vision. Kaede slowly focused on the pristine letter in her hand slightly creased in an area as kaede held onto it hard.
Hope's Peak was a renowned middle school where students who received one of these visions were invited to help hone these abilities and get an actual license.
It had one of the lowest acceptance rates to get into the main course because of the visions being primarily rare to get, yet the reserve course also had about 40 acceptance rates. The reserve course were normal students who attend to hopefully one day get a vision of their own.
A scandal was discovered where the reserve course paid about two times the tuition vision bearers did. But the principal, Jin Kirigiri, shut it down fast.
However Hope's Peak has the highest graduation rates and most chances to get a license to use their visions in public.
Kaede stared at the pyro vision clutched in her hand, never once letting go. She smiled, “I would love to attend Hope's peak.”
Kaedes parents immediately crowded around her and congratulated her. Even the two suited men nodded their heads slightly and handed her a business card for hope's peak and said they would be in touch shortly.
That was the day Kaede Akamatsu received a blessing from the pyro archon.

[contains minor suicide mention]
Rantaro Amami had spent most of his life traveling, he skipped school a lot but he was always caught up in terms of socially and studies.
Rantaro Amami had—no been on a journey to refind his twelve sisters. Ones he cherished dearly and lost.
Rantaro has checked the entirety of Japan, had traveled around the world twice and began his journey throughout Africa. However he always came back alone.
Rantaro couldn't bear starting another adventure with someone else in fear of losing them too. It's a lonely road but Rantaro is not a stranger to being alone.
As he checked into his inn at a local area, he pondered whether or not he could even find them again, or perhaps start accepting that they were dead and it was all his fault.
He should've watched them better. He should've been a better older brother. Yet he failed and slowly but surely all his little sisters were gone.
Rantaro took out his map. He has been searching for them for a year or two. He can’t remember when it began, the endless traveling and extinguished hopes.
On his map Rantaro quietly goes to mark the map and place down a marker indicating he made it here.
As always this town did not hide any of his sisters and he has to return back empty handed with no other leads.
Rantaro explored further, trying to call out his sister's names. Yet they never showed up and the locals he talked to never had a clue who his sisters were.
Defeated, Rantaro books the quickest flight back to Japan. Rantaro still lived in the home where his little sisters used to reside.
Hes.. just a normal sentimental guy you know?
Nonetheless as he boards his plane he stares out the window as the plane starts to take off.
As he stares down at the earth as the plane rises higher and higher. He wonders when his adventure would end.
It's a nice thought. Knowing one day he could settle down and go back to how life was before..
Rantaro lets out a sigh, nostalgia courses through him and he lets out a bitter smile. He was eleven when he lost his youngest sister Sanae.
He vaguely remembered when she disappeared. But he sure as hell can remember him panicking and almost crying trying to find her.
She wanted to come along and Rantaro told her not to and to stay close to the others but she followed him.
That should've been when his adventures started and slowly before he knew it his other little sisters also disappeared leaving him all alone.
His mother couldn't take it and she got angry and desperate, she cried and Rantaro barely made it in time to pull her away from the rope.
They both broke down and harsh words were exchanged, the soft caring mother he knew shattered and she blamed him for it.
His mother started her recovery in the hospital, however she still isn't ready to meet him. Not that he can blame her since she was right.
But now he will try his best and repent.
Rantaro eyes slowly close as he smiles, knowing his journey isn't over.
He settled into a peaceful slumber and when he awoke he heard gasps and rhe phone camera shutters. He shook his head slightly to dispel the remaining drowsiness as he focused more on what everyone around him was so suprised by.
“Oh my god- is that!?”
“Wait it can't be-“
“Quick! Get a photo!”
Rantaro looked around as everyone was looking amazed at him for some reason. Until he registered it, a soft weight in his hand and a blueish green vision with a marking on the center.
Rantaro recognized it as the anemo vision. Rantaro had visited old temples before where they worshipped the anemo archon, however from the translations of old papers.
This anemo archon was said to represent freedom.
Rantaro around an hour ago was almost starting to spiral in guilt—how?
Why was he given an anemo vision when just moments earlier he felt trapped and suffocated, holding all the guilt in.
Rantaro throws it up slightly and recatches it, testing the weight. This is definitely real.
Soon enough the novelty of him receiving a vision was gone as the flight attendants ushered everyone back into their seats for landing.
Rantaro buckles the seat belt and looks out the window to see it's morning again. He must've slept through a lot of the flight.
As his plane lands without a hitch and everyone starts moving out the plane. Rantaro gathers his belongings double checking twice to see if he forgot anything before leaving the plane bags in tow.
As he reaches the airport gates and goes to retrieve his suitcase he sees a man dressed in a black suit start walking up to him.
“Excuse me, are you Rantaro Amami?” The guys surprisingly high voice asked him before he took his phone out to compare them.
“Yes, that would be me.. is there something you need?” Rantaro responded respectfully as he turned to face the man who was still looking intently at his phone and at him.
The man seemingly found what he was looking for and put away his phone before taking his briefcase out.
And shows two documents.
One of them is a regular standard government vision registration and the other is a letter addressed to him offering him to attend Hope's Peak.
“Hope's peak would love to have you attend and hone your abilities.”
“Really..?” Rantaro says shocked, picking the papers up slowly and reads them.
Then he goes back and rereads the words of acceptance on the paper, then rereads again.
Hope's Peak wants him to attend.
This was a rare opportunity and perhaps maybe he can get enough resources to find his little sisters.
Rantaro lets out a small smile and fills out the government vision registration, and replies curtly accepting the offer.
The man nods and hands out a card and says they would be in touch soon.
That was the day Rantaro Amami was acknowledged by the anemo archon.

[Includes mention of SA, harassment, misogyny and misandry.]
Tenko Chabashira was studying under her sensei, learning the ways of Neo Aikido. She may be only 11 however under the teachings of her sensei she's gotten the basics down.
Soon she can protect all the vulnerable women from the one true evil. Men.
Tenko from a young age had seen how men treated women and her sensei drilled into her head that if a man could, they would take advantage of her because she's a weak woman.
Therefore she needs to get strong enough to protect herself and other women alike.
She was hard at work practicing her Neo Aikido moves, as her sensei watched and called out corrections.
Tenko once doubted her sensei, she didn't think all men were bad. But now 11 year old Tenko couldn't believe she was so naive.
Her sensei walked her near the alleyways where men were ganging up on women as they cried and begged to be let go. Tenko wanted to rush in and help but her sensei held her back.
This was a lesson, and her sensei just wanted his lesson to stick.
Men are all bad.
Tenko begged her sensei to let her go and help, her sensei's only response was a disappointing sigh and told Tenko this was her punishment. And that she isn’t capable of fighting them yet.
Tenkos sensei then began to hold her arm and drag an unwilling tenko back to the temple. Where it was safe.
Ever since then Tenko focused on her studies more and practiced harder at Neo Aikido.
At the end of these training she would spar with her sensei, usually she lost but today she actually managed to catch him off guard and flip him!
Tenko smiled brightly before standing up and offering a hand to her sensei.
Sensei rubbed his head and accepted her hand and got up.
“Tenko-chan you’ve really gotten stronger”
Tenko giggled a bit before she put her hands on her hips, confidence radiating from her.
“Of course! I need to stay strong to protect all women from men!” Tenko stated proudly, afterall she made progress and now she could go and save all the women in the world!
“If you feel up to it we can go down to the alleyways and rescue women.” Her sensei offered to grab her jacket. In which Tenko accepted and beamed up at him.
“Really!? I can go and save them now?” Tenko said excitedly putting her jacket on and quickly pulling her shoes onto her feet.
“Lets not waste any time then!” Tenko said and held onto sensei’s sleeve and half dragged him over down the temple steps to find the alleyway.
Her sensei let himself be dragged along as he chuckled at Tenkos eagerness.
Tenko and her sensei fought back to back and rescued the women. As Tenko fought more, flipping men and disarming some. She felt this rush of adrenaline as she defeated men after men.
When all men were unconscious or too tired to be able to move, Tenko and her Sensei rounded up all the women and brought them back to the temple for protection.
Tenko offered them lessons in Neo Aikido a new aikido her and her sensei made to fight men.
Some of the women there looked at her in a sad way as she said this, but Tenko didn't have time to ask why she was sad as her Sensei skillfully took over the conversation, cutting Tenko off.
Tenko didn't mean to make a woman sad!
Tenko tried to make up for it by the time around dinner she gave the most yummy foods onto the woman's plate.
Seeing the woman and everyone else dig in and smile made Tenko happy too.
Tenko ate her own meal too and went on about what she does here in the temple. even going on about the menial stuff.
She would mention how much her sensei trains her to fight against men and such. Some women would seem a bit uncomfortable however Tenko assumed it was the mention of men.
Tenko started calling them degenerate males.
As all the women left the temple, Tenko reflected on what she did today. She managed to save women from those pesky degenerates!
As Tenko smiled a strange glow emitted above her. Tenko looked up and saw a blue orb thing float down.
Naturally Tenko caught it, and inspected it. It was some sort of gem perhaps? Sapphire was it? Those are definitely blue.
Tenko went to find her sensei and presented the gem over to him as he washed the dishes from dinner earlier.
His eyes widen in shock making Tenko get confused, however her sensei notices and goes to explain.
“Tenko-chan, in your hand, that's not a gem. That's a vision.” Slowly her sensei explained the concepts of a vision.
Rare gem like orbs that give out elemental abilities, after recognition of the gods.
“A god.. blessed me!?” Tenko shouted excitedly before pausing and praying that the god who blessed her was a woman.
Tenkos sensei chuckled at her actions and gently patted Tenkos head. “Don't worry the hydro archon is a woman, be happy.”
Tenko immediately stopped the prayers and cheered, hugging the vision close towards herself. She's been recognized by a god! And better yet it was a female god!
“Alright Tenko-chan tomorrow we have to make a stop at the government to receive papers okay?”
“Mhm!” Tenko nodded before running off to test out her vision’s capabilities.
It didn't take long before Tenko and her sensei were registering Tenko as a vision bearer. Suddenly a man in a black neat suit came up to both of them.
Tenko without thinking immediately went and flipped him. After all he was a degenerate male! Who knows what he would've done had she not flipped him.
Tenkos sensei steps in front of Tenko as the guy Tenko flipped, slowly got up. “Don’t worry I do not wish the both of you harm.” He said formally straightening out his blazer wiping off dust.
“I couldn't help but notice the hydro vision tucked in her hand.” He explained which gave Tenko the icks. He was staring at her! She could feel the bad intentions already.
“Why yes, my Tenko-chan recently received this yesterday.” Her sensei spoke up for her as she continued to eye the guy up and down.
The guy nods at the information and goes to open the briefcase he was holding earlier and opened it to reveal.
Two documents.
One was the vision registration document which her sensei already filled out and submitted.
The guy notices and takes the other document which was more of a letter and hands it to Tenko. Tenko begrudgingly took it and looked over it.
Hope's peak middle school? A school for vision bearers to hone their skills.
Tenkos only been homeschooled by her sensei and never really went to a public school. Thinking about all the males she would have to be near on a regular basis was sickening.
“Tenko-chan this is a good opportunity, you know.” Her sensei urged her to accept. And so she did.
“Okay.. I will attend Hope's peak..” Tenko mumbled.
The guy passes her a card and says they will be in touch soon.
Tenko blew a raspberry at him while he walked away. Degenerate males!

September 13 2009
Gonta Gokuhara, or at least that's what Gonta remembers was his name. Gonta has been all by himself lately relying on a forest family.
The bugs are nice and try teaching him some stuff they overheard from far away. Gonta tries his best to mimic the words and repeat it back.
However Gonta doesn't totally understand most of it and would prefer their usual talks. His ant friend would chatter and talk about all the yummy foods they picked up lately.
Gonta enjoyed their talks. Although he never really talked back to them and prefered listening.
He remembers the first time he was left in the forest. The first few days he was waiting for them to come back. Gonta used to have a human family!
However it had been 3 years since he last saw them. But now he has a real bug family!
Eventually 5 year old Gonta noticed the bugs circling around him and Gonta slowly realized he could understand them and began talking to them.
Living with forest family is nice although from time to time he gets sad and however much his forest family tries to cheer him up, he still misses human family.
His days are mostly spent hunting and listening to his family talk. The wolves nearby would come and try to clean Gonta up. It always slightly tickled leaving Gonta giggling.
It had been a peaceful 3 years. With the mostly same routine of waking up at sunrise and hunting. Then promptly napping at sunset.
However things changed. A loud nearby noise shook Gonta and his family awake. Gonta and his family went to check out the noise. Gonta learned to walk with his arms and legs very fast. Mimicking how the wolves walked.
Gonta peeks out from the tree and finds two people supposedly chopping trees. Now this couldn't do! It's loud and disruptive and his forest family will get scared!
Gonta quickly goes up to them and tries growling at them. The two men get spooked and look at him warily. His forest family still hides behind the tree and Gonta could hear the noises asking him to come back and that its not safe.
One of the guys try to get near Gonta, and so Gonta bit down on his hand, tasting a slight metallic flavor dribbling through Gontas clenched teeth. The other guy was on a tiny black box talking to it.
And surprising Gonta the black box responded! Gonta didn't know boxes could talk back. However Gonta didn't have time to be curious as the guy he's still biting onto was trying to usher Gonta off.
But Gonta couldn’t understand anything the guy was saying. Eventually though the man manages to get his hand back now covered in a deep bite mark courtesy of Gonta.
The man holds Gonta down, and as he does so Gontas forest family start howling and growling at them. The other guy brandishes a weapon, a blunt kitchen knife.
Gonta attempts to stop them and struggles against the mans hold and growls at them in desperation.
They're all Gonta has.. Dont hurt them..!
Gonta felt his face getting wet and it became uncontrollable as Gonta hiccuped and thrashed.
The guy holding the knife stopped for a minute and slowly put the knife down.
Before his family can come get him away, a sound rings out.
Its a black and white car with flashing colors on top of it letting out a loud sound that scares his family.
Gonta is confused as another different guy this time kneels down to Gontas level and spoke. Yet Gonta did not recognize it, certainly didn't sound like the growls, and grunts he was used to. Nor the chittering of the insects.
However Gonta notices they were dragging him away and shoving him into a car letting out strange noises all the while.
Gonta tries to look back at his family, however they are gone.
Gonta feels a brief sadness and before he knew it he saw other kids his age.
A person came over and tried to talk to him, however as Gonta grunted and growled the person looked freaked out and had sadness in their eyes.
Eventually Gonta knew why. Gonta lived with a forest family and did not know japanese therefore he couldn’t understand.
Gonta was now quickly picking up some Japanese however most of his words sound very unfamiliar. Gonta grew up very big.
But now due to his growth spurt Gonta had a hard time making friends. His only friend was the person from earlier which now he knows is his caretaker.
Gonta and them go read books, well more like they read it to him. In a particular book ‘Japan's Gentleman’ It was a book about this gentleman who would help and solve every problem. This gentleman had the best manners!
That's when Gonta decided he would want to become a gentleman one day too! No- the best there was!
At that moment Gonta feels happy and saw that his caretaker had looked shocked.
Gonta slowly saw a circle thing float down and he instinctively went to go catch it. It's a green circle in gold casing and looks sparkly with some type of symbol embedded into it.
This appeared from nowhere and as Gonta stared in awe two men dressed in black ironed suits came up to the two.
“Hello, Gonta Gokuhara, am i correct?” The first guy came and addressed him, holding out a hand.
Gonta quickly went to shake the hand not wanting to appear rude. “Yes! Gonta is me.”
“And I supposed you're his guardian?” The second man came up and asked his caretaker.
“That would be me..” She sounded wary and Gonta didn't know why. They shook his hand like a real gentleman would!
“Congratulations for the Dendro vision, I have prepared here..” the first man went to open the briefcase presenting two documents.
One was about having a vision? Gonta didn't know seeing had to be written down somewhere! He's never going to become a gentleman at this rate..
His caretaker helped fill out majority of the first document and as Gonta made out what the second said it was about a middle school.
Hopes Peak?
Gonta never went to school before! Hes always been homeschooled by his caretaker. This could be his turn to start making actual friends!
Gonta eagerly accepted the letter and the second man took out a card.
“Alright, Gokuhara, we will be in touch soon.” They said before leaving, collecting the government document back.
This was the day Gonta Gokuhara received a Dendro vision.

Chapter Text
[TW: mention of death!!]
August 30th 2012
Ryoma Hoshi would call himself a normal athletic kid who had great parents and teachers who cared about him.
Until suddenly disaster struck and his parents passed away from a sudden car accident and he's suddenly left to the orphanage being the only survivor. His aunts and uncles didnt want more on their plate and so he was left alone.
He grew up very self-sufficient as his coach would describe him. The orphanage wasn't bad per say or atleast what he knew of it but sometimes kids would be pulled out left and right leaving broken friendships behind.
And on the unlikely chances someone does manage to maintain contact, that friend would quickly forget you.
These were what Ryoma Hoshi realized during his 4 years at the orphanage. Some kid did try to break out and create an evil group or whatever. Something about the orphanage being evil? Anyhow.
He was invited to join this group however he declined for many reasons, but mainly for one simple fact.
Ryoma Hoshi fell in love. Yes looking back on it he was too young to have a crush but he and this girl were in love. So they started dating. It started slowly, sure they couldn't go on dates or whatever as they are only children. However Ryoma tried his best to impress her whether it was picking nearby flowers or competing with other taller kids in the orphanage to show his athleticism.
And the relationship was going just swell until suddenly she was getting adopted. Ryoma recalled being happy for her. They frequently called each other however over time Ryoma realized that she was starting to lose interest in him.
Of Course he tried to prolong the relationship but there were only just too many times she would reschedule the calls on short notice or sometimes even stop and ghost him.
So Ryoma’s first relationship came to an end and he eventually gave up on love and relationships in the orphanage. His hopes for adoption were also quickly wiped when an adult did not like how short he was, nor his serious no nonsense attitude.
Over time however at the age of 9 years old, Ryoma Hoshi actually got adopted.
This guy was a strict but caring guy. He was a coach for a basketball team for some time, at a highschool team. He did take an interest in Ryoma because of his athleticism.
So he went and adopted him. His coach made sure to hone his talents and train him properly rather than just relying on talent alone.
Soon enough
Ryoma Hoshi was a rising tennis star. He wouldn't say he was super popular or anything but he spent a lot of his time practicing with his coach.
He was a serious kid according to his coach. But what's wrong with wanting to become better?
Besides, it granted him something to do with his time.
Everyday he started to practice tennis for 3 hours in between studying, eating and sleeping. Although he has admittedly stopped growing height wise his tennis skills were getting sharper and better.
Eventually he managed to qualify for a championship. He decides to attend the championship to eventually get into a good middle school. He knows his coach would want him to be able to get higher education.
It was a hard battle but he managed to make it to the finale. His hard work paid off and Ryoma felt on top of the world.
The scores were 3-3. He was against someone a little bit older and they were at a tie. The sets they've won are 4-5 with Ryoma in the lead. If Ryoma wins this then he wins the championship.
As the tennis ball quickly darts to his opponent's side the opponent swings and.. misses. Putting Ryoma in the lead therefore meaning he won, he actually won!
Ryoma began to receive his medal and stepped onto a podium with a small rare smile of accomplishment. But then suddenly the audience gasped and even the person awarding him the medal looked at him in awe.
He looked up and saw a vision. He recognized it to be a pyro vision.
Visions were rare and a sign from the gods, Ryoma should've been happy he was acknowledged however.. His opponent in the finale quickly accused him of cheating. Which was bizarre sore loser behavior, but he can't point that out it's rude.
But even the audience seemed to agree with his opponent that his vision gave him an advantage.
Soon accusations were spouted left and right with some trying to claim Ryoma couldn't have cheated, but were drowned out by the overbearing hate and yelling.
“I knew it! He was cheating- he probably used his vision for the upperhand!” They would accuse. Leaving no room for him to defend himself.
Ryoma tried to explain himself however no one seemed to believe him. Except the few stans he had. It was his coach who declared that Ryoma would never cheat.
However the judges seemed to agree with the audience. He was different from them and his vision could have given him an upper hand.
Ryoma felt cold sweat drip down from beneath his beanie onto his face. He didn't cheat. Being a vision holder didn't make all his time and effort null.
Then suddenly two males dressed in black formal suits came forward. The first guy with unkempt black hair and glasses stepped forward and managed to quiet the crowd.
While the second guy, who's slightly shorter than the first guy but still very tall for Ryoma, approached him.
“Hello there.. your Ryoma Hoshi right?” He asked tentatively, probably nervous due to Ryoma's height being shorter than the average 11 year old.
“I am.” Ryoma said bluntly. He didn't know how to be social, he was a loner for pretty much his entire life. However the guy didn't look offended at his rude way of speaking.
“Well- Congratulations on your vision and win!” The guy tried to lighten the mood but they only brought Ryoma's mood down lower.
“Don't. Everyone thinks I cheated.”
Ryoma cut him off with his usual serious tone. He was only stating the truth, afterall visions were able to grant the user elemental abilities. And everyone is so caught up with his vision that they accused him of cheating.
“Okay— well uhm.. Have you heard of Hope's peak?” The guy quickly changed topics and opened his briefcase.
Inside was a government mandated vision holder documentation. And beside it, was a letter formally inviting him to go to Hope's Peak.
Hope's Peak Middle school was a chain school. At Least from what Ryoma gathered from scouring the internet.
Hope's peak buildings consist of an elementary school, then middle school then High School.
Of Course Ryoma already considered Hope's Peak, however he didn't give it much thought as the reserve course fee would cost his two kidneys as tuition yearly.
The main course was for vision bearers, which Ryoma wasn't at the time. so he didn't give it much thought before.
But now considering the warm pyro vision in his hand, and the letter.
He thought it over, Hope's Peak was a famous school. He shouldnt deny himself this opportunity right?
Besides he would hate to disappoint his coach and attend some no name middle school. Upon this thought Ryoma agreed with another blunt statement that went straight to the point.
“Fine, I will attend Hope's peak.”
The guy's face broke into a smile and passed him a card saying they will get in contact and not to be too hard on himself.
Before Ryoma could dwell on his words. Quickly the guy explained it to his coach slash legal guardian.
His coach looked at him briefly and nodded, however the tuition is going to be a problem.
His coach only worked a teacher's job and it was admittedly hard to get by with a teachers salary trying to feed two people and somehow afford tennis equipment. His coach was the first to bring this up asking about perhaps paying in installments.
But his next words surprised Ryoma and his coach. The main course tuition was actually significantly lower than the reserve course and they could grant scholarships for him as long as he managed to maintain high grades and join the Hopes peak tennis team.
With this they had no more qualms or worries.
So that was the day Ryoma Hoshi was accepted into hope's peak, and attained a vision.
A pyro vision.

June 28 2012
Miu Iruma was a tech savvy kid. She liked fiddling around with gadgets and figuring how things worked. Circuits and wires and all those cool things.
However her biggest hater was her dad.
Miu iruma's parents had split up a long time ago leaving her in the care of her father only. She grew up in a split household when eventually her mother gave up custody to an unwilling poor excuse of a man.
Yes she's being harsh but he deserves it! That bastard of a dad thinks women can’t do all this tech savvy stuff and that they don't belong in STEM. So from a young age she's been trying to prove him wrong.
However it was getting harder as one, she's only eleven. Two she's sorta behind in some of her classes. But then again who cares?
She's already out of the no name elementary school! She shouldn't even care about her English grades or even how well she structures her sentences.
Her father ofcourse thinks differently, he might have put her into a run down elementary school but somehow still expected her to get good grades. Her report card was a bit decent at best, very average, for a loudmouth like her. Her highest grade was math.
To Miu ofcourse math was the only thing that mattered, how is she supposed to build cool wack ass inventions with something like english?
Her father clearly didn't share the same thought process and even grounded her! Not that it matters since she stays in her room all the time anyways. But the audacity!
It's not like her father really cared much about her, she already could tell that from a young age her father wasn't the best at caretaking. She remembers getting raised by a nanny from the earliest time of her life.
Then her father ruined everything like always! He fired the nanny over some made up excuse about how she was slowly stealing from him and trying to seduce him. Like anyone would like him!!
Miu grumbled as she continued to make her blueprint onto printer paper. It would be a really cool invention. It's sure to make her popular in middle school.
Miu Iruma was a bit ashamed to say she couldn't make many friends during elementary. No one tried to entertain her thoughts about becoming this big world changing inventor. Except her teacher..
But besides that nobody really gave her so much as a single glance! People tended to avoid her because of her loud unfiltered mouth. She likes swearing, she thought it made her seem mature and cool.
However, I guess they don't understand what it's like to be mature these days.
Miu finished the blueprint and stepped back to admire it. It's very cool (in her opinion) and it's sorta a small scale emp device. Made to send out these little radio waves and knock out nearby electronics.
She could imagine all the uses already.
To knock out the tv when her dad pisses her off, to turn off the lights without getting out of bed.. or even to shut the phone off when her teacher calls to talk about her behavior!
Yes! Useful indeed.
As she hummed to herself she looked around her bedroom and found that her tools she snuck in from a few days ago were gone. Bad dad! Always getting in her way of becoming the best inventor..
But its fine. Who needs stupid tools anyways! As long as she has her supplies it— Miu paused before quickly getting off her chair to look under her desk.
Over time as Miu walked by a scrap yard she would spent time in the mornings and afternoons before and after school to pick up small gears and components.
She stored them under her desk very well hidden. So how did he even find it! Miu clenched her fists in anger.
She has no supplies and no tools to work with? What kind of grounding is this!? Miu slammed her clenched fist on the table in anger.
Before immediately regretting it as her hand ached. Damn it.
She's gonna put all the blame onto her dad because it wouldn't have happened if he had not confiscated everything. But now what is she supposed to do with absolutely nothing at her disposal?
She can't make her cool slightly scaled down emp device anymore.
Miu stares at the blueprint and thinks about just absolutely tearing and throwing the pieces everywhere for whenever her father decides to snoop again. Mius' gaze then travels from the blueprint to the window.
Miu thinks about it. No but like really thought about it.
Was she desperate? Perhaps.
Could she fit? Perchance.
Would she really run away? Hell yeah.
Miu quickly tried measuring how big the window was with her hand then slowly her hands only slight shaking as she tried her best to keep the distance as accurate as possible.
It gave her around 10 inches to shimmy out so she could totally fit!
Miu smiled before quickly grabbing her school bag and emptying everything out. In one swift motion she grabbed her fallen pencil case and blueprint she thought of tearing to shreds earlier and shoved them both in.
Miu slowly moved her chair careful of the creaking and dragging noises the chair made and lined it up below the window.
She climbed up and slowly unlatched the lock to her window and climbed out, throwing her bag out first. With a heavy landing she followed after only briefly pausing to internally scream about the pain. Yes it was from a one story window, but that doesn't matter she landed hard on her legs leaving them wobbly.
Miu made sure to keep the window slightly open enough for her to fully reopen and climb through but closed enough for it to look normal.
Her school bag now hung off her frame as she sprinted to the scrap yard that was near her route to school.
Upon reaching there she quickly gets to work finding some old tools and managing to pull out some light rusted gears and components out of the big pile.
She quickly got to work assembling the emp device. It was a bit hard but absolutely nothing can stop Miu Irumas genius so she powered through like the gorgeous girl genius she was.
One day she would go to a cool technology related college and make the coolest inventions ever! And of course prove her father wrong and that women do belong in STEM.
While she followed her blueprint, she tried testing it. It.. didn't work..?
Perhaps her father was right. She can't do this. Miu quickly rechecked over her blueprint and didn't know what went wrong.
She spent some time assembling before eventually disassembling the device when her work proved to be fruitless. It wasn't working and she had no idea how to get it to work.
She should give up.
Wait. no.. No!
Like hell she would prove that bastard right!? Shes THE Miu Iruma, THE girl genius. Something small like this shouldn’t dissuade her.
With renewed passion Miu continued to work on her mini emp device. It wasn't much progress, however Miu didn't care. Her will to prove him wrong is more important. She is Miu Iruma the girl inventor who is one day going to change the world.
Slowly she finished assembling it together and she held up her phone against it. Her phone powered on and she nervously decided to press the button turning her emp device on.
To her shock, it worked. It actually worked!
As miu rejoiced suddenly her device stopped working again. Confused, she decided to look up for some reason. Like the sky would give her the answers.
Well would you look at that? It did give her the answers!
A purple orb thing descended slowly and Miu reached out to catch it. Miu discovered that it was an electro vision.
Judging by how her emp device stopped working then the electro vision probably cancelled it out with its own electromagnetic waves. Probably.
Since it was late noon not many people were outside however she still managed to attract some stares.
Miu looked up and saw a guy with a stubby beard dressed very formally come up to her holding a briefcase.
Miu raised a brow before standing up hiding her vision behind her back instinctively.
“Do not be alarmed.” The guy said real creepily. He moved to open the briefcase as Miu pondered whether or not to just sock him in the balls and make a run for it.
Inside the briefcase was two documents. One was a government issued document for vision holders to register their visions, and the other was an.. acceptance letter?
Hope's Peak. One of the top schools there was for graduation rates.
Miu blinked and looked warily at the guy. This sounds too good to be true.
“I sense your reservations but please don't be alarmed. I am a hope's peak scouter, looking for vision bearers to join the school.”
“Your really inviting me into Hope's peak..?” Miu mumbled slowly, outstretching her hand to grab hold of the letter.
“Ofcourse.” He responded.
Miu paused to scrutinize the man before her face broke into a grin. She was—no definitely going to brag about this to her father. Take that! Miu Iruma is becoming an inventor, baby!
Miu, not waiting to hear more, quickly picked her stuff up and ran back home, slipping in through the window to brag to her father, leaving the guy behind.
Miu Iruma, the gorgeous girl genius, the inventor who's going to change the world. (Self proclaimed) Has received her own vision, kickstarting her career should be easy from here on.
That was the day Miu Iruma was recognized by the Electro Archon and granted her very own electro vision.

[TW : Mention of Death!!]
Maki Harukawa was nothing but a tool. From the age of 7 as she discovered this holy salvation cult was controlling the orphanage she lived at. Her life has been hell.
Brutal training sessions and getting starved and beat all so she could become a better assassin.
She would have declined or tried to leave but the person who oversaw the entire thing said she can't leave because she loves the orphans here.
And sadly, he was right. Maki Harukawa found herself attached to these little bobbleheads. Making leaving even more painful.
As for the cherry on top? If Maki left someone would have to take her place. And if there’s one thing Maki could take control of, she will never let someone go through what she went through.
Over the 3 years of this assassin training she was getting tired of this. Fourteen they said. On her fourteenth birthday she would receive her first official task.
Fourteen they said. But now here she finds herself assigned to eliminate someone at the ripe age of Eleven. It wasn't anything big or anything of that sort.
Just get in, kill and get out unseen.
She was given a ride to the cosplay con where her target was said to be. She always tried taking as much time as she could before eventually killing her targets.
But it's only delaying the inevitable.
Maki made her way towards her target. From her snooping and spying, her target should be here at 2PM. Maki found she blended quite well with the crowd holding a katana.
Why a katana? Well everyone is doing a sort of cosplay considering this is a comic con for cosplays. And her usual look somehow managed to trick everyone into believing she was a cosplay of some sort.
After what was the most boring hour spent on this, Maki crept towards her target pretending to be another bystander. As she got close enough to go in for it. She stopped.
Her target was taking a phone call. They were making plans to celebrate his daughter's wedding. Maki could be considered a monster for the lives she killed during training. So what's one more?
However she couldnt find it in herself to actually go through with it. Maki Harukawa never had to think about what lives they had before killing them. Before in her training they were just bad people.
She thought she wouldn't need to think more about them as they were bad. Killing bad people was just.. It helped Maki take her mind off of killing them.
Afterall bad people deserved it, right?
The target got off the phone call and was walking again. Maki had to make her move now or else it would be too late. So regardless of her inner turmoil she did it in one clean slash.
Before anyone would notice her she was gone and already back to her apartment rented by the cult for her.
Maki killed someone, and this time she cant even try justifying it. That person wasn't a bad man or anything.
But it's too late. Maki looked over at the computer and phone given by the cult and decided it's best to stop early. But the orphans..
No. Maki knows already, if she leaves someone else would get subjected to what she went through. However she can't sit by and be used as a tool.
But first off she should get some sleep.
Yeah. Sleep could clear her head and stop her rash decisions. Never operate on impulse, always think everything thoroughly before acting upon it.
Something she learned from her training.
As Maki drifted off to sleep, having no dreams like usual. Time passed and in a blur it was already morning. Usually Maki would be able to wake up all well rested and get right back into training.
However, last night was different. She had trouble sleeping for once, her mind circled back to her target. She doesn't know his name, background or anything.
She was supposed to but she—well.. never had to before. She didn't need to think twice about who they were before she shot them. Most of them were practice dummies anyways. Did it matter?
Maki somewhat regrets not learning more. Which was a foreign concept for her, she never really regretted her actions. It was for the greater good.
But perhaps this line of thinking was why she became a tool for the cult.
Maki tossed and turned all of last night, and now even awake she finds herself tossing and turning. Something didn't sit right with Maki but it's not like she could do anything about it.
Maki begrudgingly got up to eventually head back to the orphanage. She already informed them via text that her assignment was completed. She should head back now.
As Maki packed what little belongings she had she quietly stepped out of the cramped one bedroom rented apartment. She briefly thought about bringing something back for the orphans back at the orphanage.
It's not like she really liked children all that much when she became an orphan. But they liked her and overtime her walls were weakened and she slowly looked forward to them.
There was this one remarkable short kid, he reminded Maki of herself. The self imposed solitude and withdrawal from the general orphans were something she noticed quickly. She never knew if he was actually present or just waiting for something to happen.
He was a serious kid who had been through things, hell the entire orphanage had been through a lot. So leaving wasn't an option for her. She wondered if he found happiness as he was adopted a long time ago. There was this one group of orphans though.
Their ‘leader’ was in particular the best way to put it, a little shit. He was annoying and constantly snuck out with his own friends. Somehow managing to appear before roll call. Roll call only became a routine because they wouldn't stop sneaking out.
Then again there were also other countless orphans with their own problems. Who was she to add more onto their plate?
As Maki boarded the plane she thought about sleeping again. It's the best way to get through a flight.
Yet she can't sleep anymore. Her mind flashed back to that guy. How momnets earlier he was talking about his daughter’s wedding.
She stole that moment from him.
His daughter wont see her father ever again because of her. How can she justify these actions? She didnt know if he was a good man or not but something about the fact she was the reason someone may never see their loved ones again is sickening.
Maki tapped onto the little screen in front of her starting a random movie to get her mind off this. As the movie draws to an end, her plane is also about to land.
Maki gets up and goes to grab her bag, it was small and could be counted as a carry on. It only held some basic hygienic supplies and another set of clothing.
She didn't have much anyways.
As she makes her way out of the airport now crossing a bridge, she rummages through her pockets for her phone to contact someone, only to find a.. green blue orb.
Maki recognized this. It was an anemo vision. When had she received one?
Maybe she got it during her sleep? Besides that doesnt the Anemo Archon represent freedom?
What freedom does she have?
Makis' hand clenched around the vision as it flickered faintly. Was this an attempt to mock her? How could she get this vision when she killed someone because she couldn't do anything else. No freedom at all.
Maki looked at the lake underneath the bridge and threw it in. Someone deserved it more than she did. As Maki quickened her pace she began to near the orphanage. Before she could however she almost trips over something. Looking down she finds..
An awfully familiar vision.
Somehow this vision made her way back to her like it was fates doing.
As she bent down to grab the vision and eventually chuck it back into the river a voice shouted in alarm.
“Woah- Hey! Wait!” A guy wearing an all black suit carrying an equally black briefcase ran towards her. On instinct Maki got into a fighting stance.
The guy immediately stopped and raised both his hands in surrender. “No need to get physical.. I just wanted to ask, were you about to throw your vision away..?”
Maki narrowed her eyes before relaxing her stance. “What's it to you?”
“Well! I'm actually a recruiter for Hope's Peak—I actually really hope you know what Hope's Peak is because I do not want to explain..”
“Hope's Peak?” Maki remembered it was a school for the vision bearers. It was so they could get a license to use their visions in public.
“Yes— speaking of would you like to attend?” He asked opening the briefcase and taking out the letter, Maki could see another document where it was apparently the government issued vision registration.
Nonetheless Maki pondered over this offer.
Should she attend? It's not like her body is good for anything else except violence. But maybe if she does attend then the cult can't come after her after all if she misses school for too long the authorities would get involved. And god knows they cant have that.
So Maki accepts with a slight nod barely noticeable but it seems the guy noticed it anyways.
And so Maki Harukawa is now a student of Hope's Peak middle school.
That was the day Maki Harukawa received an Anemo vision. (Begrudgingly)

August 30 2012
Kaito Momota is one day going to become an astronaut. He boasted about this in his elementary school when the teacher asked them to write about what they would like to be when they get older.
He already knew he wanted to become an astronaut and has been very serious in his training. He studied the stars and planets! He wouldn't even go that far for his English classes.
He hated reading, but to become an astronaut? He would do anything!
And including anything, he might have landed himself into trouble..
But hey! All to become an astronaut right?
You see.. Kaito had this brilliant idea. since apparently people had to be much older than him to actually join the proper astronaut training. He thought maybe he could demonstrate his knowledge and skills to somehow bypass that.
No he wasn't thinking about why would that apply to him, but nonetheless it expectantly didn't work. They were not in awe of his skills and rejected him on sight.
Which was just rude? He didnt even get to tell them how much he knew about rockets and space and all that! He however did somewhat pass the exam though.
Just not for the physical portion since, reminder he's eleven. He could totally have beaten that part! (He couldn't) He practically trained all the time and worked out. (He did it for ten minutes before getting tired and taking a two day break.)
As he totally should've gotten in, this is where the slightly illegal part is. Kaito snuck in, apparently it’s trespassing?
Now he's being escorted off, but before he got caught of course he had to try out the astronaut training. He participated in some training procedures all the way in the back. Although he did get caught when the supervisor asked everyone to drop down and give 100.
Kaito didn't know what that meant and was waiting for the people around him to do it first. Perhaps that's why he got caught..
As around twenty people got down he was of course the last one still standing before moving to go copy them. So he got singled out and discovered. It's not it was that big of a deal!
As he gets seated down in the waiting room as the cops nearby go to call his grandmother, he awaits hell. Grandma Momota is kind and just a sweet old lady. Until.. of course you do something illegal and now has to bust you out.
He should've given his grandpa's number instead, but no he panicked and said the first phone number he thought of. So now he's practically awaiting a scolding and perhaps being grounded for two weeks.
He sighs sadly, there isn't much he can do. A staff member of the space training camp then walked in holding an earlier testing paper. He could vaguely hear his name.
Did he really flunk that bad..? He studied! And he even paid attention during math instead of talking to his friends!
The earlier space staff who found him back walked towards him with the other staff next to him still holding the papers. By now Kaito knew they were his test papers. And that he most likely flunked..
“Are you kaito momota?” The staff member holding his test paper asked. In which kaito replied back that yes he is kaito momota.
More murmurs were exchanged and the staff who brought him here suddenly sighed. “Kaito momota, do you really want to be an astronaut?”
Immediately Kaitos answer “Yes! Of course i wanna be the best astronaut there ever was and—“ he was then cut off by the guy raising his hand signalling kaito to be quiet.
His elementary teacher did that a lot towards his class too.
“Well Kaito momota it seems that..” another heavy sigh came from the guy. “Congratulations you barely passed with a 75%” he concluded all while wearing a tired expression.
As soon as kaito registered it he let out the loudest cheer. “I-i did it? Oh hell yeah!! Let's go!” He exclaimed with pride and slight skepticism. Which was quickly wiped away as the one and only Grandma Momota walked through the doors.
“Hello? I heard my grandbaby was in trouble, yes?” She said making her way to Kaito in her slow and usual pace. Like she was admiring the scenery.
“Ah yes, we've been expecting you.” The man who earlier revealed his score said as he went to shake grandma momotas hand.
“So what did he do this time? Judging by this place I think I have a pretty good idea what happened.” She side eyed kaito.
Kaito Momota was an impulsive kid but ultimately a good kid at heart. He's a little more passionate than others and loud. So when Grandma Momota and Grandpa Momota eventually introduced the telescope and pointed some stars to him.
Kaito momota became obsessed one day wanting to travel up there himself. They thought perhaps it was just a phase, like the time you say you want to become a pretty princess in the future.
It was not a phase.
Kaito was almost religiously studying planets and the solar system. Even searching things up on his ipad to learn more.
Once he stayed up till twelve am studying. He got grounded and had his ipad taken away for three days because of that.
Nonetheless there's no use trying to make excuses as grandma momota knew kaito very well. She certainly already knows he somehow broke in and tried taking the recruitment course.
“Well.. I took it, it's not the first time?”
“I just know my kaito very well…”
The conversation continued as kaito was drifting in and out of the zone. He should be paying attention but he's gonna be here for ten years at this point if his grandma doesn't stop talking.
“Oh yes i wanted to say as well..” the other staff member joined in on the conversation. Kaitos' head snapped up when he realized they were talking about him.
“Your grandson has gotten a 75 on the written and multiple choice question. We would like to offer as soon as kaito becomes of age we would have a position open.”
Did he hear that right?
He's being considered a spot. For his dream job. He knew all the studying paid off! Hes kaito momota afterall the soon to be luminary of the stars.
He might not know what luminary means but it sure sounds cool.
As he rejoiced internally only accidentally letting his happiness show with a big smile that took over his face. Becoming an astronaut here he comes!
Suddenly a rock? Of some type falls onto his head taking a wince out of him. That hurt! What was it even made out of?
As kaito rubbed his head in slight pain which quickly faded he stared at the dropped item. It was a vision.
A geo vision. His grandparents weren’t quite fond of the visions happening but weren't too vocal about their dislikes either. They believe it would change the new generation to be dependent on this vision stuff instead of the modern day tools.
Like relying on a pyro vision rather than a lighter.
He bends down to pick up his vision. Or at least he sure hoped it was his. This is like the best day ever!
Grandma Momota suddenly looks over and sees kaito holding his vision with a beaming smile. As much as she disliked what the visions would bring, seeing that smile made it all okay.
Another bell rang overhead signaling someone came in. A guy with an entire Mohawk walked in! How cool..
“Pardon my intrusion.” He had this weird formal tone and he bowed towards them before making his way closer to them.
“I couldn't have noticed as I was walking by a vision appearing.” He makes a slight glance ar kaitos hand holding the vision.
He goes to open his briefcase, taking out the two documents and handing them to Grandma Momota.
“Hope's peak would love to recruit him into the main course.”
Kaito exploded into happiness at this point. Hope's peak middle school? The one everyone wanted to get into at his old school? First he gets an offer of joining the astronaut trainings when he becomes of age, receives a vision and now even get recruited into hopes peak!?
Kaitos' smile beamed brighter as he looked over at his grandma. His grandma stared at him before letting a small smile of her own show and nodded.
That was the day Kaito Momota received a geo vision

Chapter Text
September 4 2010
Kokichi Ouma was an enigma. Before depending on who you ask, the most common trait used to describe him is synonymous with annoying. He is above all a liar.
Anyone who can only describe him as ‘annoying’, had already fallen to kokichis schemes. Meaning they could only grasp a shallow view not entirely knowing Kokichi. Kokichi Ouma prided, and hated how well he could keep people away.
Yet this act of his ended soon after he turned five. His newfound parents adopted him and praised his inherent intelligence and that was before he came to this other hell hole of a place. He was sent off to better his intelligence for something greater. Or more specifically a vision.
Kokichi’s found ability to push people away never worked here, this doctor was too scummy and creepy to get the hint. Or perhaps he did. But it ultimately never mattered as the doctor did whatever he wanted to him anyways.
It hurted at first, but he saw the twitch of annoyance flash within the guy's eyes when Kokichi never acknowledged the pain and taunted him. Kokichi used his experience of provocation and speaking out against others to further anger the doctor.
Perhaps he had wanted to annoy him into letting him go, but all the man did was get rougher with him. The doctor made tiny remarks on how much he reminded him of someone else at first. And he can't wait to do the same to him like the puppet.
Of course Kokichi brushed his mumblings off as delusions and ignored them. Maybe he should have pried for more information looking back on it..
Nevertheless he was stuck underground somewhere and this entire place reminded him of a hospital for some reason. However it's quite outdated.
He tried peeking at some documents before yet he couldn't decipher any of it. It was like an entirely new language, certainly not Japanese. However some characters resembled it.
He did get caught peeking once and the doctor was absolutely ruthless, forcing into tests and experiments right after the other.. muttering strangely about how he must gain a vision.
Specifically, an electro vision.
Kokichi would hate that, afterall he heard the electro archon stood for eternity and he certainly didn't want to be here for eternity. Kokichi tries not to engage, such as not trying his best in many of the tasks pushed onto him by the doctor. Or reducing him outright. Not that it worked.. Anyways..
Usually afterwards was kokichi’s favorite time, lunch time!
During the designated lunch time, Kokichi meets other people his age in the same program. They never liked talking to him much because they claimed he was clearly favored. However some did tolerate him.
This reminds him of the orphanage, he remembers messing with some of the kids there and exclaiming he would create a super evil organization. He doesn't quite remember how long ago that was though. Afterall his parents adopted him soon after.
He wonders if Ryoma finally got over his girlfriend or if Maki is still super scary. He tried recruiting them both at one point. He was shrugged off at the time since he's a childish heathen and sure, he pulled mini schemes such as sneaking off to steal deserts. But so what?
Now in this new area, the idea comes back at full force. Last time in the orphanage he got most of the introverts involved in his evil organization scheme. Even though they clearly only accepted because they wanted him to go away.
What if now he creates one for real..?
He sought out to do just that! And he wasn't the only one sick of the doctor. He only managed to recruit three people though. Apparently others were too scared to join a rebellion.
So kokichi gave them all codenames, by scouting around and somehow trying to learn and decipher the languages he saw, he now had the perfect names for them.
His right hand man, Jin is now being nicknamed as Tengu. He heard that alongside the electro archon was a loyal tengu warrior. He's pretty sure it's probably all just a fairytale though.
Next is his left hand man, Shion, now called Daimyo. And lastly his other subordinate, Hatsura now nicknamed as Maiden. Apparently it was rumored that the electro archon would spend its days with a shrine maiden with multiple foxtails. Of Course it's only fiction but the doctor kept them for a reason. Probably..
But anyways ofcourse he called himself the Shogun. It was only fitting! The stinky doctor wants him to somehow pop out an electro vision and he's the leader of the group after all!
He and the others shortly made their escape afterwards. They found out the doctor was called Dottore, and the entire place was in what he called a domain. He knew this place couldn't be legal.
Though they were quite beaten up and bruised, they obtained free will!
No more having to endure and undergo multiple experiments which end up in failure anyways. Along the way they tried to adapt to their surroundings.
They picked up six more people to join.
Kokichi couldn't really recall anything else about the electro archon. So he decided to name them after playing cards. Queen, Jack, Diamond, Clover, Hearts, and Spade.
Queen as the most motherly to them, Hearts the one who cared the most, Diamond the most generous, Clover the luckiest of them, and lastly Spades being the strongest of them all. Oh and Jack is just Jack. Inside jokes you wouldn't understand!
They called their evil organization DICE. Why? Well.. Kokichi one day after a little too much panta might've been a bit woozy.. He tripped over a dice somehow, and now it's a running joke between all of them. How meannn!!
After finalizing the codenames they needed to establish order and the no nos in their actions.
So Kokichi and his newfound members came up with the ten golden rules of DICE! One rule for each of them.
Usually he would tell you readers out there, but it's all confidential! Nishishi~ better luck next time!
It was when Kokichi recently escaped and recruited the other six members of what he calls DICE when he received his vision. It was electro, he hated it.
He went through hell and back for something this.. stupid? That doctor, Dottore or whatever was obsessed over a stupid purple rock..? He feels like crying his eyes out.
At seven years old Kokichi received an electro vision.
Eternity.. When he nicknamed himself as the Shogun it was supposed to be ironic. Something he would never be. Yet..
Kokichi let out a sigh.
He then glanced at his subor— no family's faces and saw them flash with worry. He put on his best smile like he was happy with this. His family, perhaps not wanting to acknowledge the truth, tackled him into a group hug. They assured him about how what Dottore did wasn't the reason. Kokichi earned this by himself; it wasn't Dottores ' handiwork.
If anyone saw him tear up just know that it was all a lie! A secret scheme of sorts! What scheme would that be? Well—let's not get ahead of ourselves here..
Then they found out about needing vision licenses and all the government paperwork.. lets just say that DICE had to go under the radar for a bit..
You’ll never catch us alive!
However even though they were practically invisible to the police forces and government, Kokichi still never could bring himself to use it. It reminded him of bad memories yet every time he tried to get rid of it or destroy it, it would always reappear somehow.
So when at ten years old he's been formally invited to attend Hope's Peak Middle School in a year. He resisted. However the damn recruiters are crazy. They even shot at his getaway skateboard!
Its a miracle they didnt shoot up his feet.
Looking back at the electro vision snugly against Kokichi's waist on his belt, Kokichi let out a small bitter smile.
Of Course the thing he hates the most gets him the most opportunities. Kokichi was nothing more than a simple opportunist and dreamer after all.
So Kokichi Ouma received an electro vision.
OR that's what he wants you to think! Neeheehee~ Quick spot the lie!
(Hint: you already fell for it!)

Shuichi Saihara was the son of Mr and Ms’ Saihara. They were renowned actors in the film industry, and they wanted nothing to do with him. He was always a quiet kid after all.
Shuichi Saihara is used to being taken care of by maids and butlers. Eating food made by personal chefs, all because his parents couldn't bother to see him. He wouldn't call them neglectful as some of the media want to portray. He's happy.. Or atleast believes he is.
He should be happy he isn't outside starving with no shelter or anything after all. There are other people who have it worse, he can't be this ungrateful.
Shuichi's smile became strained as he gulped nervously, he was getting interviewed about being Mr and Ms’ Saiharas son. Shuichi in particular wasn't a good liar but because of his age he was able to get away with it.
He hates the cameras and flashing lights, he had to become homeschooled half way through elementary because the paparazzi wouldn't stop following him. He wasn't well perceived at elementary school anyways.. but he sure will miss his teacher.
Growing up he never understood what familial love is. Why are they so happy to see their parents? Why do their parents actually pay attention to them?
He probably would've said his teacher was the parental figure he looked up too. However they aren't really blood related so she doesn't really qualify as a parental figure. That's how it works right?
He began to settle in with all the homeschooling, and getting used to an empty house which was too big for him to get comfortable with.
This however changed at the age of nine when suddenly he was pushed in the backseat of a sleek black car. From one glance you can just tell it was expensive. Shuichi had been confused at first and asking wasn't much help as his questions were quickly shut down and outright ignored.
The car stopped in front of a.. detective agency? Shuichi was ushered out of the car. His mother whispered sweet saccharine words about how much she cares about him and not wanting to ruin his life, so he would now be in the care of his uncle.
Shuichi didn't even know he had an uncle! At first he was scared. However he gets no time to dwell on it as the black car quickly drives away leaving him behind. He stands alone and quietly goes to make his way towards the agency and debates knocking.
What if no one is in at the time..? How embarrassing.. Or what if he opens the door and everyone stares at him! That's even more embarrassing for him..
As he eventually goes to finally knock the door opens with his hand awkwardly in mid air poised in the knocking pose.
A man comes out and Shuichi deduces that he is his uncle. His hair was blue, resembling his father in a way. Or atleast what he remembered his father looking like.
He never really met him, only seen him briefly as he got ready to leave on another business trip.
His uncle's eyes looked down at him, and he completely froze, hands awkwardly lowered until it made its way to tug on his jacket. Oh god.. what does he say?
He was never one for socializing, he can already feel his social battery draining.
“You are Shuichi Saihara, I presume?”
His voice was rough and warm. He sounded like he actually cared about who he was talking to. Which was a first for Shuichi, his mother talked very sweetly and so clearly fake to him. His father? Well he never had a real conversation so he wouldn't know.
Shuichi realized he paused for too long and quickly replied anxiously.
His uncle nodded and introduced himself.
“I am Akihito Saihara, I will be your legal guardian. As long as you don't cause trouble we will get along just fine.”
He motioned for Shuichi to follow him in, and Shuichi did. He saw people.
They were talking and chatting, the environment was warm and welcoming. So much so that Shuichi felt out of place. He doesn't deserve to be here, he would never fit in.
Two years of homeschooling and Shuichi already forgot what it's like being near people.. How saddening.
It took time for Shuichi to adapt to his new living environment. His uncle showed him around and showed him an unused room he could use for the time being.
Over time Shuichi finally have gotten used to this, waking up and going to meet his uncle for breakfast together. Which was a total first. He can still recall his surprise when his uncle invited him to eat breakfast one morning.
Shuichi then became a bit curious and wanted to know what his uncle did for work. He already knew what his parents did after all. They were important actors and filmmakers, too busy to raise a kid.
That was when he was introduced to detective work. Akihito sensing Shuichi's awe, gave him some mini cases to do. Finding a lost alligator pet and things like that.
Shuichi liked finding the truth and helping others find it as well. So when his uncle decided he could take on a complex murder case he was ecstatic. He was finally trusted enough to do more complicated tasks. He could finally help out with some of his uncles work.
He wouldn't know it then but that one case is now the reason he can't face the truth anymore. He found the murderer. But parts of the media expressed their disappointment, apparently the murderer killed the guy because they drove someone close to them to suicide.
Shuichi now can't go a day without his cap, he's scared. That glare the man gave him embedded itself deep inside him. Shuichi struggled to even look at himself after that. Or even eating. Whenever he closed his eyes the scene would resurface like it happened yesterday.
Vivid details of his anger burned and etched itself into shuichis soul. His uncle was worried, even if he didn’t outright show it. He was getting put back into minor cases.
He liked the minor cases better, no blood, body, or even confrontation. He trained to become better at facing people before that. He was confident if not a little awkward at first in interrogating others.
He found it fun, he found it enjoyable.. but now he can't bear it.
He doesn't want to find the truth anymore, but he still really really wants to be a detective.
That's when a cold feeling spreads over his hands, looking down he sees a kind of gem like stone. It was blue and had an engraving in it.
A cryo vision.
He stared at it, visions were rare. And he received his because.. he was stressed between two parts himself? Wanting to be a detective and wanting to hide the truth manifested itself into a literal vision..?
He quickly went to go find his uncle.
His uncle suggested he go to a school for people with visions. Although Akihito himself doesn't really like the idea of having visions exist he wants to provide Shuichi some sort of guidance. Visions aside, he knew that shuichi was the same with and without it.
Shuichi nodded and went to go apply, and in a couple hours received his acceptance email after a couple of more emails affirming he did have a vision.
Akihito Saihara was wary. He didn't like visions, no not at all. Too much trouble for what they were worth. But seeing that boost of confidence when his nephew held it made him more accepting for a brief moment.
On the other hand Shuichi was panicking internally, he never really knew how to behave in school, his elementary days were long forgotten as he became homeschooled..
But staring at the cryo vision clutched in his hand, he lets out a small smile. He's been acknowledged by the cryo archon, meaning she believes he can do this.
And so that's how Shuichi Saihara received his cryo vision.

Korekiyo Shinguji was homeschooled from birth, unlike other kids he stayed inside all day accompanying his sister. His sister Miyadera Shinguji, was ill from birth.
His parents never were around and usually only korekiyo went and took care of his sister. And vice versa. Korekiyo developed this appreciation with humanity as a whole, after all his sister went on about people with great enthusiasm.
Though soon enough, his parents decided he needed to go to actual public school. They didn't want to spend more money hiring a tutor to teach him things he already knew.
Korekiyo learnt from his older sister, she would usually ramble and brush his hair. Humming a soft song. She often looked out the window at the people passing by. Exclaiming how much she would've loved to interact and study them.
An anthropologist.
Korekiyo intended to follow in her footsteps, so when he came back from elementary one day.. he couldn't believe his eyes. Usually his elementary days are far from pleasant. He was the weird kid with the long hair even though he's a male. No one particularly liked him but it was okay since his sister was always at his side.
But now.. what does he do without her? Miyadera Shinguji passed away peacefully in her sleep, the doctor recounted to him and his parents.
Korekiyo knew. His older sister would have never passed peacefully away, not with all her regrets. She wanted to make a hundred friends. He remembered his talks with her.
She told him that in secret saying she wanted to one day venture out and make a hundred friends, when she got better. However this better never came.
Her funeral passed by quickly, Korekiyo felt like he was stuck within a moment of time.
Why did she leave him? She promised.. She promised!
Suddenly the emotions come rushing back all too quickly, korekiyo lay crying in his bed. He used to sleep next to his sister, she claimed with her here he would never have a nightmare again.
Now without her, the eight years of repressed nightmares flooded everyday infiltrating his dreams. His parents predictably never bothered, they were sad at the funeral. But he knew it was to keep up appearances.
No. How could they know her at all? Korekiyo was her only light. And she was his. No one could understand their relationship. Not even his parents.
His obsessive and secluded behavior had to be acknowledged and his parents sent him off into therapy. He used to hate the way the therapist poked and prodded.
He didn't see anything wrong with his behavior. Would they not do the same if their beloved sister was also oh so cruelly ripped away from them as was his?
His behavior started to become a real problem when his parents tried making him be more social by sending him into a public school.
He had gotten into a scuffle with some girls in his class. He just knew his sister would've loved to be friends with them. However his sister was so far away and with her frail help he can't just make her come here herself.
no no no.. He has to bring them to her!
With a hidden fork he tried attacking the girl, it wasn't elegant in the least. She tried fighting back but korekiyo overpowered her. Looking back on it he should've grabbed another utensil to get a cleaner kill.
However no one agreed with his view; they called him weird and crazy. He didn't take it to heart though. What would they know about the time he spent with his older sister speaking in hushed whispers about the future?
He knew his sister wanted a hundred friends and now by being a good younger brother he can help! He analyzed the girl's behavior patterns and found her suitable. She should be honored he chose her as a candidate for his sister's friend.
When several more similar incidents occurred, Korekiyo ended up finally expelled following his 5 suspension. His tendency to attack girls in his class had spread and he was excluded socially.
He never minded but this made it harder for him to bring them to his sister. He had multiple close calls but he always failed, these teachers were always keeping a keen eye on him.
So only then was Korekiyo homeschooled once more. He took to observing out his window for candidates. Rumors spread and before long girls avoided this place.
He only wanted to send his sister some friends, he didn't want her to be lonely.
Yet he was sent away to a therapy center for the troubled. But he wasn't troubled in the slightest. No he knew his sister wanted him to do this, and what could supposed parental figures even know about him?
It's been two years of therapy and him eventually opening up. The therapy changed him and he soon started becoming better.
Now at the age of eleven perhaps, he could finally let her memory rest and move on. The last day of his therapy sessions, as he made his way home slowly the sun was out illuminating his pale skin.
He wore a mask to remember his sister faintly, and he smiled and slowly slipped the mask off. And then in a moment he opened his eyes and saw..
A vision.
Something his sister— no him, yes he would want to research more into this. He was his own person; he no longer needed to carry the wishes of his dead sister through guilt, but by living his own life the way he wanted.
The vision, an electro one descended slowly and fell into his palm.
It doesn't mean freedom like the Anemo vision was rumored to be, not like hydro which was rumored to be justice..
Not geo, nor dendro or pyro.
An electro vision said to have been the vision of the electro archon who represented eternity.
An eternity to find his own way to live..
Another smile graced his face as he clutched the vision closer to his chest.
“Hey!” A voice called out briefly startling Korekiyo.
Korekiyo turned to see a woman in a suit, her appearance slightly disheveled, as she approached him. Holding what seemed to be government papers and a letter.
“That's.. an electro vision right?” She asked curiously. His sister would've loved to be her friend.. No! He has to get over it.. She's dead, there's no undoing that.. His pause made the woman slightly turn her head in a confused way.
“Ah, my apologies, yes this is an electro vision.”
“Great! Hah i knew i didn't see wrong!” She shouted. Before quickly pulling herself together and passing the papers over to him.
“Here! What do you say kid? Wanna come to hope's peak so you can beat some a— ow!“ her speech was cut off with a wince as another slightly shorter woman in a similar black suit elbowed her in the stomach.
“Cut it out, he's a kid.” She sharply spoke and sighed before turning back towards him.
“Sorry my partner here doesn't have much of a filter. Hope's Peak Middle school is for people like you to hone your abilities. I wouldn't pass this up if I were you.” She explained and pointed at the letter in his hand.
He nodded and thought it over. Before coming with his solution. He would join.
Hearing his answer the taller woman whooped and was then elbowed again this time harsher by the shorter woman and telling her to quiet down.
Korekiyo paid them no mind even if they were fascinating. Korekiyo stared at his electro vision. It looked to be an unremarkable gemstone. But he smiled knowing the electro archon from today gave him this as a sign.
So that's how Korekiyo Shinguji received an electro vision.

August 17 2012
Tsumugi Shirogane was a plain girl with absolutely no outstanding thing about her. She was just the textbook definition of boring.
She can’t naturally converse with others and attract others like the popular girls in her school did. She never had many memorable memories.
She was just.. herself.
Nothing extraordinary, nothing special.
She long accepted this at the age of five she knew she wasn't anything special, she was just another npc in the world of heroes.
She turned to anime as a sort of escape to her boring and miserable life. Her life was plain. The only thing that was really interesting about her was her father leaving her and her mother behind.
Yet it seems this was a common occurrence in anime, the destined heroine loses her family and starts the path towards heroism.
She's a bit embarrassed to admit but she sometimes fantasized about being extraordinary, perhaps a prodigy of some sort?
Or maybe even a secret main character who has not awakened their powers yet! They all start out plain and boring like her after all.
Sometimes her fantasies take a darker turn, wishing her mother would leave her to become an orphan or maybe her mother would hurt her so she could have a cooler background. No anime ever featured a protagonist with normal families and normal lives.
Right, character development..
They always had something to traumatize them. She wanted that experience for herself, she wanted to become someone who could be interesting to be around. But even her mannerisms are just so terribly plain.
When she discovered what cosplaying was she swears her whole life changed. On halloween there's no more of trying to become a disney princess like all the other girls she could be interesting for once.
She can be the confident sailor moon! Or the beautiful Aoki Reika! This was it. Her escape from being a plain npc and her chance to embody someone cooler. Of course her mother never agreed on this.
“Why can't you just be normal?” Was her reply when Tsumugi first pitched her idea. Cosplaying was expensive, and the halloween costumes were cheaper. Something her single mom could have afforded.
Tsumugi didn't really care at the time, for she was more angry. Why couldn't she see how important this was for her..?
She could become anything she wanted..! Something so vastly different from her usual plain self. She could become interesting, so why would her mother still refuse her like this?
She threw tantrums, and multiple fits. Until her mother finally agreed to it. She could get one cosplay. Or at least that was the plan.
Tsumugi had been browsing through the usual youtube and stuff and discovered that creating your own cosplay was going to be a bit cheaper even if it takes a while. Picking up a new skill and cosplaying?
Say goodbye to plain, and welcome the new more interesting version of herself!
At first it was hard, accidentally pricking her own fingers and wanting to cheap out on some areas. Does the stitching consistency really matter? It takes so long…
In school her mind was focused on learning how to sew, so much so she started becoming isolated from her peers. Some of her usual friends tried to reach out. Like the main characters they were but Tsumugi was down being the best friend and ultimately irrelevant.
It was time to stop being a secondary character and start becoming her own main character.
She really over estimated how long it took to create a cosplay, it's been a month and so far she has most of Sailor Moon’s outfit down, she just needs the shoes and wig.
Soon.. She would become interesting and likeable, just like Sailor Moon.
When she finally got the wig to look good, she stepped back and smiled. Surprisingly she actually really.. really liked sewing and becoming her favorite characters.
Sailor Moon was one thing but.. what if she could become more than that?
Soon Tsumugi's grades, usually at an average C and B's, were slipping into D’s. Her mother wasn't the happiest and decided to ban anime, not allowing her to watch anymore.
“You got a D!? You’ve never gotten a D before.. Are you trying to throw away your future!?” Her mother screamed, and went into her room ripping the anime posters off one by one.
“I don't ever want to see you watching that anime thing ever again.”
Tsumugi felt angry, and she lashed out in return. What was so wrong in what she liked..? She loved the cosplays.
So what if her grades slipped!? She's just another plain person trying to get by. Her classmates were naturally smart. And pretty.. it doesn't even matter what she does when they are always going to be better.
She could study for two hours and still barely get a B while her classmates who spend all day playing get high A’s. This was all so so unfair. She finally finds something she's naturally decent at and now it's getting taken away.
Tsumugi locked herself in her room as her mother banged repeatedly against her door. Tsumugi only loaded up another anime, a cool action packed anime. Something to distract herself as her mothers banging starts slowing down and yelling becomes more apparent.
It was nearing midnight as Tsumugi finished the anime, after the action anime she rewatched Sailor Moon and began another anime. Her mother’s banging and yelling long quieted down, she should be asleep by now.
Usually her mother never really cared about when she slept as long as she got to school tomorrow somehow. Tsumugi's sleep schedule was atrocious. Once, she was able to stay up for an entire week without sleeping. Her mother didn't care, only if her anime got too loud would she come storming over here.
This was how her days would go, the fight left them both angry and bitter. They didn't talk at all, not wanting to give in at first. Perhaps that's one trait that could make Tsumugi stand out…
Her fights with her mother usually lasted a month or so until they got back to speaking terms. But now? It had been an entire year.
Tsumugi thought her mother wouldve relented, or that maybe she would break and give in to the anime ban. But surprisingly neither of them did. She can practically feel her character development happening…
A used to be average girl finds her passion, although without familial support she rises to the top of the cosplaying field..
Tsumugi smiled. It was her eleventh birthday, she didn't get a cake however, since her mother and her still weren't on the best terms. Her mother began to leave home more early, and as long as tsumugi didn't get into much trouble that would inconvenience her, she could practically do anything!
Tsumugi was out one day running around at a random thrift shop looking for fabrics and clothing she could recycle. She didn't have much money, and usually managed to coerce money out of passersby and her classmates.
She imagined herself as an anime character, who was an orphan and frantically begging for money as her little brother was at home sick.. All for money. They all did fall for her sob story she stole from an anime.
When she started walking home bags in hand, she managed to heckle the price down! When she turned a corner she saw a shady looking man, blue hair.. and was that red eyes!?
Red eyes are somehow always reflected in the anime as mostly the protagonist or in some cases the antagonist! So she just had to go and seek the guy out. A real life protagonist! She can't miss this opportunity.
The man looked at her intrigued, she went on her rant and said his red eyes were absolutely fascinating. He must be the main character!
Although she's sure the man didn't believe a word she said and only brushed it aside, he gave her something and patted her head, saying they will meet again in the near future.
When she got home, her mother was nowhere to be found like usual. She quickly went to her room and used a google search.
She's received a vision.. A pyro vision at that!
Quickly she had to go through the boring government documents, which were mandatory. Then she proceeded to look at schools, specifically ones for the vision holders. Hope's Peak Middle School..
She quickly went to apply for the main course. That man, whoever he was, gave her the opportunity of a lifetime! She can finally be a protagonist without the need to cosplay into other people..
Tsumugi Shirogane was a plain jane no more.. She was a vision holder.
Tsumugi did recieve her confirmation letter to Hope's Peak and practically whooped in excitement.
Tsumugi Shirogane received a pyro vision.

Chapter Text
June 12 2012
Kirumi Tojo was disciplined, well mannered and above all a maid. Her family came from a generation of maids, one most prominent maid generations ago, was the best maid. Her name was Noelle.
When she was born her mother said her eyes were like Noelles. Noelle had green eyes, and Kirumis own eyes resembled hers. And so the expectations were set.
Mornings started everyday at 5am sharp. Prep the tables and start breakfast. Like a dutiful maid would. There were old preserved journals of Noelle, the one who started the cycle of maid work. No one could decipher the old writing, so it spread through word.
The teachings had to come from the previous maids. They were strict, sure but according to Noelle, they were a walk in the park. Kirumi Tojo's family weren't surprised at the discovery of visions.
Noelle was a vision holder too. None of them had received a vision, so they believed their own maid practices were not good enough. That's what made Noelle stand out and how she was a symbol of self discipline, dedication.. you name it.
Visions were from the gods afterall.
Kirumi Tojo began her maid training at five years old. In elementary not many people liked her, she was calm. She had no hobbies besides cleaning and serving others. A joy for the teachers and a weirdo according to her peers.
She recalls hearing whispers from other kids, along the lines of “Tojo is so annoying.. Does she have to keep up that stuck up attitude?” Or whispers of her being too much of a suck-up to the teachers.
Kirumi never minded the whispers and had one friend mainly for Kirumi to practice her maid services. Her friend wasn't the most well off, yet she was bright and bubbly. She made requests to kirumi frequently.
Which Kirumi never minded.
Like her, her friend Himiko was also an outcast. She liked magic and the others weren't much kinder with her compared to kirumi. Children were ruthless, with their underdeveloped social skills.
They never went through Kirumis maid training so she wouldn't hold it against them. Her mother was firm with her training and she managed to pick up a lot of her required lessons. Such as..
Everyone must first be seated at the table, as she serves the food. She must not eat unless everything is cleaned up. And that she should have no other priorities other than serving her ‘master’
Her mother, a current maid as well, works for a popular Togami Corp. As soon as she turns fourteen, she will attend an internship and begin work. Kirumi prided her work ethic, and overall etiquette.
Kirumi and her mother would afterall practice every day and go over manners and proper etiquette a maid should have.
If one of Kirumis ancestors could manage this, then so could she.
Eventually at the age of ten she realized the vast difference between her and everyone else. On the rare occasion of a sleepover she saw, they were what her mother would describe as undisciplined and needed guidance.
They were lazy, they often rambled a lot, sometimes even falling asleep mid way through a conversation. They barely left their room and got their mother to bring everything to them, Himiko's mother did comply. It was very different and shocking, not in a negative way.
Kirumi felt very out of place, so she stood by and waited for a que to help out. That never came, instead they declared a pillow fight. Her friend said she had to ‘loosen’ up, whatever that means and threw a pillow at her. She did catch it and couldn't understand why someone would do this.
Her friend stood and performed a magic trick. She was rusty and the cards she had spilled out from hand after she almost fell asleep midway. Even though it made a mess, it sparked upon the laughter of everyone. Kirumi felt herself warming up and she didn't know why but she felt like joining in on their smiles. Kirumi almost let a smile slip through her calm facade.
Before she could however she remembered a teaching her mother instilled into her head.
No maid shall lose their composure under any circumstances…
Kirumi forced the smile back and kept her neutral expression. By the time the sleepover ended. They all cleaned up, even Himiko's father joined in and helped out.
Kirumi didn’t really know her father, or even her mother at this point. Her mother was a strict maid following her ancestors footsteps. Her father? Well.. he got into a supposed car accident.
Apparently somehow the males are never recorded by their ancestors and are always rumored to have died as soon as the females got pregnant. Only the female maids in her family had a picture hung up as well. Usually a photo of them in their prime.
Even Noelles partner remained unknown. She was revered and practically worshipped by her family, so a bit of unknown information was surprising.
As it started getting late, Kirumi wondered when it was time to start cleanup. Kirumi usually cleaned the entire house before getting the privilege of going to bed, always knowing her maid duties were fulfilled.
However as their sleepover progressed, her friend's parents ushered her to sleep. No need to clean. That night Kirumi wasn't tired for once.. Which was so disorienting for her.
She didn't manage to sleep that well. Usually she would pass out right away from being too sore. Now however, she was too uneasy to sleep, how could she rest? She had not fulfilled her sacred duties. As the night bled into midnight, kirumi finally managed to fall asleep.
In the morning, like clockwork, Kirumi Tojo awakens at 5 am and is ready to start her duties. A dutiful maid no under the circumstances will stick to her designated schedule after all. Or else she would be behind, and she couldn't have that now could she?
No one else was awake.
Kirumi got a little embarrassed.. Everyone else was asleep, and she's the only one awake. Since she's due to return home by 8 am she takes almost two hours to clean the house, pack her items, and look presentable.
She quietly leaves the house, closing the door with a soft click.
She uses her remaining time to get to her home on time. 8am, and it was currently 7:45.
By the time she gets home, her mother looks sternly at her. The time was 8:01. She's late.
She hadn't expected to run into so many red lights, but as she took her walk she was able to take a better glance around at the people around her. Not that it mattered, excuses are not fitting for a maid. Kirumi was late.
This caused her mother to increase the mannerisms and etiquette lessons by another hour. She was taught better, she shouldn't have been late. Yet she let the surroundings distract her.
Kirumi knew she shouldn’t have gotten distracted, but the people around her were entrancing. People weren't worried about their appearances or their actions. They were having fun. Don't get Kirumi wrong, she liked serving people and helping others.
But she can’t remember the last time she really laughed and was not worried about her duties.
Kirumi one day, also would love to smile and laugh while performing her duties. So she shouldn't be upsetted about the increased lesson times. To be a good maid she must first learn after all.
So she would try her best.
She did a ninety degree bow towards her mother, and accepted the punishment for being late.
As she did so, she heard her mother gasp. Kirumi dared not look up yet until her mother allowed her to.
Her mother ushered her to look up, in a voice full of awe..? Pride? Nevertheless Kirumi obliged and looked up to see a floating geo vision infront of her.
For once her mothers composure didn't hold. Her mother looked at her and pulled Kirumi into a hug. She whispered into Kirumi’s ear as Kirumi froze up.
“I am for once.. at a loss for words Kirumi. I am truly proud of you.” Her mother said, trying to hold back tears.
Kirumi never heard her mother like this, usually she was composed through everything. From her aunt she heard she didn't even blink at her husband's death. Just quiet acceptance.
Kirumi slowly went to hug her back and she felt warm again. Like when she was at the sleepover when everyone was having fun.
Kirumi finally let a smile show.
The next few days, her mother was more excited. It wasn't quite easy to tell but Kirumi recognized the pride.
Kirumi and her mother already filled out all the paperwork.
Today, her mother mentioned signing her up for a middle school that specializes in helping vision holders obtain a license.
Hope's Peak Middle School.
That was how Kirumi Tojo received her geo vision.

July 12 2012
Angie Yonaga, was the prophet of Atua. Her drawings were visualizations of what her god told her. Soon enough from a young age, she's been pampered and in control.
Angie lived on an island, her people celebrated Atua. They performed weekly rituals, prayers and of course sacrifices all for Atua. Afterall without Atua, they couldn't have existed at all.
Atua created them and granted them life to roam and enjoy worldly pleasures. At the end of the road, death would grant them eternal happiness alongside Atua.
Angie Yonaga was a vision holder. Or if you would like, more specifically a hydro vision.
A vision was a god's gift for the chosen ones. The prophet. Through Angie's eyes Atua shall live through her to also experience the worldly pleasures and monitor the world.
Upon birth, Angie got her vision. Her feet never touched the ground, to preserve holiness. A god's prophet should remain untainted by the worldly horrors, and remain a reflection of god. Atua was a benevolent god so they mustn't taint them after all.
At the age of ten, Angie yearned to walk on her own two feet. However this could anger Atua. Atua was always a benevolent god, yet Angie would never take advantage of her god.
So she stopped her thoughts and continued with how it usually went, through sudden droughts she managed to call forth rain. During the days the poor would approach her and ask for divine guidance.
Using her hydro vision she managed to wash away all doubts and worries her citizens had.
Until recently however, perhaps Angie angered Atua and her vision started to fail her. Her vision wouldn’t produce even a drop of water. Angie feared for her life.
She couldn't understand why Atuas gift was suddenly being taken away and now unusable. She tried praying over and over again and seeking Atua. Yet it yielded nothing. How could she explain this?
Perhaps the blood offerings and human sacrifices were not enough for Atua.. but Atua was never a greedy god, the wind still blew, the seas still came upon their island, and the plants are prospering.
Angie could only come to one conclusion why Atuas' given vision stopped working. Atua the beloved god wanted them to start enjoying what they brought more. So Atua stopped her vision from working!
Yes that must be it. Atua would never turn their back to Angie, she's their prophet after all. And so Angie brought the news to her island.
Angie stood up and stepped down onto the ground and heard the gasps and shocked noises from her citizens.
“Angie has brought forth another word from Atua!” She started and spreaded her arms wide. Her citizens clapped but most were most definitely puzzled. “Atua has spoken to Angie and declared they shall leave Angie.” Angie paused, letting the word sink in. The people were confused and angry thinking angie did something.
Before the commotion could escalate Angie cleared her throat once more. In which everyone quieted. “Atua has decided to leave Angie, yes, but they have come to personally visit you!” Angie said and brought her hands together in a prayer motion.
“Atua decided to better connect with his believers; they would come and become all knowing!” She smiled. “No longer shall you come to Angie, and you may repent wherever and Atua shall have heard your call!” Angie concluded.
The minority took it unwell, and the majority praised Atua.
The minority however were outnumbered by the majority, and eventually agreed and praised Atua. Angie took her leave finding the sensations of walking amazing. Atua granted her freedom to walk, yet Atua hasn't abandoned her.
Angie saw her hydro vision glow blue, and she felt that surge of control come back. Atua.. has granted her blessings back.
Now with her newfound freedom, no longer needing to be held everywhere and she could now do whatever Atua tells her without interruption.
Angie certainly never minded when believers of Atua came up to her to repent and confess sins. However it did make her incredibly busy. Morning to dusk she would grant people salvation, perform rituals, start the blood offerings and human sacrifices.
Atua was alongside her all the way. Angie never felt alone, no not with Atua by her side.
But now as Angie returned to her home, she saw a magnificent scene. It was a rainbow.. It was a sign from Atua. It had to be, Atua was pleased. Angie's smile slowly didn't feel forced on.
And as Angie glanced at the supplies near the window, she knew just what to do. She painted until the rainbow faded and she took a step back. She was truly happy.
Atua gave her happiness, and she was all the more grateful. And so Angie took out more supplies and began painting. She felt that Atua was watching her and supporting her along the way.
The warm wind blew against her face, all warm and comforting.
Then suddenly messages from Atua came pouring into Angie's mind and she continued to paint and paint. Until it was the bright sun coming out Angie noticed her aching hands and eyes. In her home layed multiple paintings depicting Atuas will.
She slowly blinked and looked out at the sunny view displayed outside her window. She stood up and walked around just because she can now. And she walked outside her house clutching her paintings in hand. They were certainly beautiful, and truly displayed Atuas blessings and messages.
She stood in the sun and set her paintings down, propping them up. She talked to the citizens and they were excited and happy to have seen Atuas messages displayed in Angies paintings.
As Angie conversed with her people, she heard a sudden commotion. As she neared she saw a boat docked at one of the fishing areas, and there were two unfamiliar men. They were all dressed in weird attire, and stood clutching a briefcase.
They were asking for her. Angie couldn't hear them mention her name specifically but the words vision bearer were heard clearly. Have they come to seek guidance from Atua?
Angie approached them and smiled.
“Yoohoo~ Angie heard you might be looking for Angie! Have you come to receive Atuas blessing as well?”
She noticed the two men glance down at her hydro vision. Perhaps they wanted Atuas eyes as well? Sadly that cannot be done, Atua chose Angie as their prophet already.
“Atua..?” One of the guys said, clearly puzzled.
“Yes yes! Atua our beloved god, they bring blessings and goodwill. Do not fret about your uneducated mind, Atua is merciful and accepting!” Angie held her hands up in prayer.
“That's not what we’re here for..” The second guy butted in, in which Angie's smile almost twitched. They aren't looking to seek Atua after all… could their intentions be pure?
Atua reassured Angie and Angie calmed down. Yes Atua told her they meant no harm and is about to bring her opportunities to further spread their love.
“You are..” the second guy trailed off, in which Angie answered immediately. “Right.. Angie Yonaga, we would like to recruit you into Hope's Peak Middle School for vision holders.”
And here comes the opportunities.. Angie briefly thought it over before accepting. Some locals were angry they were going to take Angie away. But Angie with some words managed to make them calm down and agree to her decisions.
This is to spread the word of Atua afterall, and she mustn’t fail her duties as a prophet now either.
And so that's how Angie Yonaga was recruited into Hope's Peak for holding a hydro vision.

August 2nd 2012
Himiko Yumeno is a future upcoming mage. Magic was real! Yet most of the other kids laughed at her and mocked her. Her master was teaching her all the cool magic tricks, there's no way it was fake! But the other kids called her master a poser and said they were faked.
They weren't fake! They just couldn't feel the mana in the air like she can!
Of course her line of reasoning and desperate attempts to prove magic is in fact real, and it’s not some trick as they call it was denied and even mocked more.
Himiko had about two friends in elementary school; her lazy and magic-enthusiastic personality made it quite hard for her to make many friends. Which Himiko somewhat liked and disliked at the same time. She wasn't expected to socialize much with no friends, and her introverted self can't handle talking to others for a long period of time.
However, on the other hand, having her two friends Kirumi and Tsumugi was nice, they were all outcasts of some kind. Even if Tsumugi got annoying at times with her constant streams of cosplay ideas and her ever changing personality.
Her first sleepover with them was fun.. She showed off her cool magic tricks involving cards and such. However she could tell Tsumugi wasn't herself, and that Kirumi was very uptight and they weren't able to really pay attention throughout the entire show she put on.
Tsumugi shirogane had been her friend since the start of elementary; however, ever since she watched what she called animes she changed. Himiko didn't like this change but she didn't want anything to change so she kept quiet. She's not sure if Kirumi ever noticed or maybe just ignored it like she did. But her behavior got progressively more different.
Her personality became bland. Like she's forcing herself to be plain for whatever reason, she no longer gushed about anime she watched and was more.. Independent. She started using ‘plain’ more often in her talks and constantly compared them to anime characters.
She didn't mind most of the time, however eventually she and tsumugi distanced.
Next was Kirumi Tojo, she was prim and proper. At first Himiko thought she was a bit strange, however no matter how strange she listened and paid attention to her, even going along with the magic. She didn't smile much, but that only made Himiko want to practise and learn more magic.
Her father was her magic teacher, he used to work as a magician or what he calls a wizard. So Himiko wants to follow in his footsteps and become a mage to awe other kids like she was when she saw her father perform magic in front of her eyes. Her father supported her decisions very much, although her mother may be getting a bit sick of watching her perform the same magic trick over and over, she never complained.
Himiko worked hard, to try and make the other kids smile and happy about her magic tricks. Yet they only pointed out the flaws in her work and how they could do it easily. Himiko was sensitive to this magic talk and got rightfully angry. She is a mage! Not a magician, and it's magic! Not some ‘trick’ Absolutely no sleight of hand was involved.
However some managed to recreate her magic and explain the mechanics of it, Himiko vowed to perform a better magic show and never let them figure out how she did it. Don't ruin the magic.
As Himiko neared the age of eleven her mother mainly tried to convince her magic was not real, even her father–a wizard! Decided to tell her it wasn't actual magic. Naturally this led to a rift between her and her parents.
Himiko continued practicing her magic, sometimes watching magical girl anime with Tsumugi if they even kept contact anymore. But don't tell tsumugi but himiko hated those anime the most. Those magic are all fake, and Himiko the aspiring mage didn't want to see false magic. This did end up distancing her and Tsumugi further. Kirumi stayed a mutual friend between the two of them but eventually Himiko had to part.
Her family decided to move somewhere different as a change of pace.
Himiko didn't mind it but it was super tiring for her. She had to pack and then unpack everything later on.. When she got here she already faked sleeping to get carried. She doesn't have the mana to do much currently..
As her parents were busy unpacking, Himiko snuck away. On the ride, although she slept through ninety percent of it she did see a sort of attraction at the nearby park. And so she made her way towards it and by moving her way to the front, she saw it was.. A magician stand!
Himiko's eyes must've been glowing with awe, since the performer asked Himiko to come up as a volunteer.
“And now! For the final performance I will do a disappearing act!” The magician bellowed to the formed crowd, in which the crowd cheered in response.
“Now with our volunteer here, she shall walk into the box and! With a count of three she will disappear!” He unveiled a purple box and opened the door, motioning Himiko to walk in.
With a small wave, the box was closed and Himiko disappeared from the audience's view.
Inside the box, Himiko could register the magician's voice, albeit muffled.
As the magician progressed the trick, she could somewhat hear the shock and gasps of the audience. And as she was revealed once more, the entire crowd was in awe, bursting into claps. Himiko let a smile out as she led back into the crowd once more, and the magician took his bow. The curtains closed, and many children came up to her and asked her about the trick.
Himiko played along, and claimed one day she wanted to be a mage. Surprisingly the children around her also became starry eyed and said they want to see her shows one day, with a few saying they wanted to be a magician too!
Himiko took out her cards and said she already knows some magic tricks if they wanted to watch and the children gathered around her eager to see her trick. Himiko performed her tricks flawlessly and the children were in awe and clapped for her.
As Himiko looked at their faces filled with the child's joy, Himiko Yumeno realized. She never wants to stop performing magic for everyone. As long as she could see another person happy with her magic she would never stop.
And there as she continued showing off more tricks, a child directed her attention forward. A vision descended and stopped in front of Himiko.
It was a pyro vision.
Landing softly into her palm, warming her hand up.
Two men dressed in suits suddenly appeared, telling the children to move. As the children quickly dispersed Himiko finds herself face to face, with a man opening his briefcase up.
Himiko Yumeno slept a lot, sure, she was lazy.. Unmotivated, whatever but she does recall something about stranger danger. What if he was trying to rob her.. Or try to hurt her? Himiko reacted fast, with a surprising bit of energy she punched the guy’s crotch area.
The guy let out a grunt and promptly collapsed. His partner bursted out in laughter as Himiko debated whether or not she should run, or apologize.
The guy's partner stepped forth and came to hand her two papers, one a government document and another was a letter telling her to join their school. As the guy slowly recovered standing back up, legs trembling he let out another groan of pain. Yelling at his partner to stop chuckling.
His partner did not stop, instead his chuckle became rambunctious once more.
By then, Himiko spotted her father coming out, his expression etched in worry and panic. Himiko quickly backed up and ran towards him, as fast as her little legs could carry her into his arms. Her father lightly scolded her for running off, but his worry faded away as Himiko proudly showed her palm sized pyro vision.
Her father and the two men later began to argue and talk. But she didn't pay much attention and instead glanced down at her vision again, tracing the pattern with her thumb.
That was the day Himiko Yumeno received her pyro vision.

September 5th 2012
K1-B0 was created for the sole purpose of figuring out the extent of these so-called visions. K1-B0 was programmed to become the ultimate weapon. A robot capable of wielding every type of vision. Ranging from geo all the way to dendro.
Naturally his creator Professor Idabashi, did not agree for such an advanced ai to be used as a weapon. So as precautionary, K1-B0 now taking on the nickname, Kiibo has been altered to a certain degree. Modeling him after human life forms.
Kiibo now had the intelligence of a five year old, and for the years to come would have to learn and be raised like a human being. This of course sparked discourse among the government. Unknowingly garnering attention from another.. Let's say client.
Professor Idabashi would've never wanted to raise a kid, as he recognized that no matter how robotic Kiibo was, his behavior mimicked a human being. As a robotist he built Kiibo from scratch, and bits and pieces from previous failed experiments. Acting as a core, Kiibo has 7 visions built into him.
All supplied from the government, and ripped out of 7 different vision holders. Not that Professor Idabashi nor Kiibo was aware of. Kiibo’s special programming held 7 different consciousnesses to act as his inner voice, which allowed him to utilize all 7 elements. After all, some tests showed that just parting with the visions made the visions dim and turn gray. Becoming no longer usable.
Professor Idabashi had a hard time raising Kiibo, raising his daughter hadn't been as hard as trying to teach Kiibo basic human stuff. At first Kiibo recognized he was different, he was a robot and not human like he was. Professor Idabashi tried his hardest to raise Kiibo, and try to push that robot stuff away.
As long as Kiibo believed, he can imitate a human being. He was made to be human after all. He was built with some type of information about how emotions are, and a moral compass that aligned with Professor Idabashi.
In the first run through of trying to start Kiibo up, Professor Idabashi quickly realized what having 7 consciousness could do.
“Professor Idabashi?” Kiibos robotic voice came out in distortion as he went to clutch his head. He winced, even though he shouldn't have been able to have felt pain. Kiibos' eyes started to glitch and he took a step towards him. “K1-B0 shut down.” Professor Idabashi tried to order, but instead of the shut down sequence taking effect Kiibo took another step towards him.
“Kiibo..? Shut down! Stop coming closer! sh- shut down..!” Professor Idabashi took a step back as panic began to rise from within him. Kiibo on the other hand didn't stop, instead continued his way towards him. “I'm- sorry Professor Idabashi but.. I can't.” Kiibos chest started spewing electric shocks, and he stumbled, hands now going to clutch his chest. Only to scream out, in pain as the 7 elements clashed with each other.
Kiibos systems were going through burning, and electric shocks simultaneously. As Kiibo apologized again weakly, his voice barely above a whisper. His system finally shut down.
By then Professor Idabashi’s entire robotic lab was halfway destroyed. Ice formed from around Kiibos feet, wind swept most things onto the ground, half melted ice and geo constructs were formed around the desk.
His lab was wrecked, and Kiibos systems were water logged, scorched and overcharged. He didn't know what went wrong. But he can't just leave Kiibo like this. Morning to night he decreased Kiibos strength and running ability to one of an older middle aged man. He later decided to make it so the 7 consciousness cant appear at the same time, at most two can appear in times of emergency.
Kiibo in the beginning looked like he had a severe head ache. Which puzzled Professor Idabashi as Kiibo shouldnt have been able to have felt pain, or emotions for that matter. Only knowledge of how it should be. So why did he scream and wince, and be so blatantly human?
Professor Idabashi went over the coding and program, he was surprised to see that Kiibo somehow upon start up developed emotions and a pain receptor. He was becoming more and more human.
Perhaps it was the seven visions, but as he went to remove and check them over he finds that they have merged..? One white vision, undocumented by the government appears acting as Kiibos ‘heart’ in a sense.
Professor Idabashi let out a sigh as he went to sit down for a bit. Kiibo was his greatest creation yet. A robot who can capture humanity’s aspects and essentially be human. A horrifying thing in reality but he knows Kiibo is different.
Upon the second start up, Kiibo didn't look as pained anymore and was actually coherent in his movement. “Professor Idabashi?” Kiibo said wearily before devolving into apologies, and crying. Professor Idabashi dispelled his worries and now maintained a log for whenever Kiibo used his vision. The crying was mostly caused by hydro vision.
When Professor Idabashi performed maintenance as Kiibo was trying to hold back his crying, he saw the previous white vision, which he should dub as the omni vision. Has turned into a hydro vision. How peculiar.
When Professor Idabashi went to register him into the government, the government wanted to take Kiibo or recruit Professor Idabashi to study and potentially create more artificial humans for Japan. Of course Professor Idabashi denied it and kept Kiibo far away from the government.
However, Kiibo started to become a bit restless. He wanted to see outside, and talk to others his ‘age’ even though Professor Idabashi knew it was dangerous. He let him go. Kiibo started to fill that void in his heart, from when his wife and daughter died. Professor Idabashi grew to care for Kiibo like his own son, he knows Kiibo is a robot but the smile that graced his face when Professor Idabashi allowed him was worth it.
Expecting Kiibo back soon, still all happy, was stupid. As children were not old enough to have developed a social ability to recognize how harsh their words may be. Kiibo came back all sullen and sad, saying the kids were scared of him being a robot.
So Professor Idabashi set out to make him more human-like. Acquiring multiple resources such as silicon to make skin for Kiibo. Eventually the end product was finished, however it would leave Kiibo looking 10 forever. Unless in a few years he could get his old self to create a teenage model, or better yet teach apprentices how to create a robot like Kiibo.
But then again, he didn't know who would be able to create a body for Kiibo when he grew up to be mentally a teenager. So he began his latest project, a body for teenager Kiibo.
When Kiibo was first created he marveled at the new sensations, he could feel happy, could feel pain and could converse with his peers, if he had any. Nevertheless Professor Idabashi said he was gonna make a gift for Kiibo, which he had been excited for. But then he saw him less and less as Professor Idabashi immersed himself into his work.
When Kiibo was first allowed out, he weirdly felt watched in a sense. But he was outside and he's a robot so he did expect some stares. He brushed it off but that feeling never left. The children at the playground were very rude to him, and tried shoving him around.
When he cried the kids laughed and said robots can't cry and threw rocks at him until he left. He got chased into a junkyard and he hid behind some trash dump. However his outside experience wasn't all bad, he met a blonde girl. She was brash and unfiltered but she never was mean to him.
Except maybe the threats to one day crank him open and see how he worked. But she was good company. She prattled about how she's one day gonna be the best girl inventor in the world.
Upon Kiibos' questions he learns that Miu was going to go to a school known as Hopes Peak, so she can attain a license to use her vision. “Well Keebs one day I'm gonna be the greatest inventor there was! And I'm sure I'll need my vision to become the greatest” she said and held her vision out for him to see. Kiibo believed she didn't need a vision to become the greatest but Miu looked at him weirdly and went back to fidgeting with some gears.
According to the government, technically Kiibo was also a vision holder, yet he had no vision to show for it. Which puzzled him greatly, he tried asking Professor Idabashi but he wasn't met with any concrete answers. So he let it go and asked if he could attend Hope's Peak as well.
Professor Idabashi raised a brow at that, and Kiibo mentioned how his friend was going to school and he wanted to go as well. Perhaps seeing Kiibos restlessness Professor Idabashi gave in fairly easily.
So that's how Kiibo got into Hope's Peak Middle School.
