Chapter Text
Charlotte kept slipping in & out of consciousness. At some point, someone fed her water. She started feeling better after that.
After a while, she finally woke up fully. She had a bit of a headache. There was a bottle of water on the table next to her. Without thinking twice, she drank the whole thing like a dehydrated lunatic. Could you blame her? She almost lost her life to dehydration(which was probably her fault in the first place).
Water was like her lifeline, which was why it surprised even her that she'd forgotten to drink it for two whole days. To be fair, a lot had happened in those two days.
A while after she'd finished her water, Watch-Dog walked in.
"Feeling better?"
Charlotte nodded enthusiastically, but immediately regretted it due to the pain that followed.
Watch-Dog asked a few questions, mostly about what she saw, & she answered as honestly as she could, adding details she thought would be relevant. After the interrogation, Charlotte was allowed to leave. She had to put a blindfold on, though. She wanted to ask why but didn't in fear of being annoying by asking too many questions.
It was mostly quiet for a while. It made Charlotte a bit uncomfortable. She didn't like being left alone with her thoughts for too long.
"Mr Watch-Dog." She started, trying to figure out how to word what she was going to say as she was saying it, "It doesn't feel right to me that you've saved my life twice & I've barely done anything in return."
Watch-Dog didn't respond. Charlotte continued.
"If there's anything you want me to do for you, I'll do it."
"What if I don't need you to do anything?" Watch-Dog asked.
"Then I'll wait." Charlotte replied simply, "Oh, my names Charlotte by the way. Charlotte Dubois. I'm good at tech stuff."
