Beep... Beepp... BEEEP!
Is all that could be heard from her vintage alarm clock on top of her dresser that still looked surprisingly in shape, despite the noticeable broken hinges after months of use.
Amy's ears twitches from the wretching noise, her eyelids slowly fluttering up to notice the time in bold red letters, 5:20 A.M.
Groaning groggily, she slams her paw against the stop button ontop to end the unbearable noise, shifting her body up against her soft pillow sleepily.
Today was the day. Today was the drive to the camping trip Sonic hosted!
Thankfully, Amy planned way before hand and already packed up all of her flashy outfits, extra gloves, a toothbrush–alongside strawberry toothpaste and other necessities needed for the trip last night when she was bored.
With this now in her mind, a bolt of excitement jolted in her body, her once sleepy façade now buried deeply underground as she hopped out of her bed and sprinted into her bathroom just down the hall beside her room.
Amy shuts the door behind her and walks inside, sighing calmfully to herself as she allows the rose scent entranced inside flow into her nose. With a gleeful grin and an excited tail wag, she got right to work with her teeth, face and quills.

Sitting ontop of one of the smooth steps of her concrete porch, all that could be smelt was strawberries. Natural strawberries. It was no doubt that Amy used tons and tons of perfume.
Her quills were smooth and tied up into a casual quill pony tail. Aswell as a long, sleek white dress with painted strawberries assorted all over it, tied up with a pink bow knotted around her waist. And to top it all off, thigh high white heart-shaped lace socks and pink heels with strawberry charms glued to the rims.
No denying that she looked dazzling and her work absolutely paid off!
Just beside her laid her pink luggage that looked like it was bound to explode in any second, along with her beloved piko hammer against it... just in case of danger–of course!
Enjoying the peace, Amy's phone inside of her dress pocket suddenly vibrated, causing her ears and tail to perk up in unexpected joy.
Curious, she grabs and turns on her phone, noticing a few notifications from Sonic's messages earlier.
[7:10] Bluey💙: heeyy ames! :)
[7:10] Bluey💙: uu readyy yet?? were coming rn
[7:10] Bluey💙: totallll bummer shadow stole the drivers seat, saying "we'll be in grave danger with me driving"
[7:10] Bluey💙: LIKE WHO DOES HE THINK HE ISSSS??!? 😭😭
Amy giggles to herself, rolling her eyes playfully at the thought of Sonic driving–admittedly it was one of the worse ideas ever. Within an instant after that silly thought, she typed back rapidly, a gleeful grin on her face.
[7:11] Me: HAIII SONIIICCC ❤️❤️
[7:11] Me: IM READY! I CANT WAIT!!
Surprisingly, Sonic replied back pretttttyyy fast. Must've been scrolling endlessly on MobTube (Mobian + YouTube ;3) shorts the entire time, something Amy picked up on about him during another car trip. The doomscrolling is so real.
[7:11] Bluey💙: cant wait either!
[7:11] Me: hate to agree with shadow but u cant drive for ur life LOLL
[7:11] Bluey💙: OH CMON AMYY
[7:11] Bluey💙: ur all backstabbers... all of you!! 😭😭
[7:12] Me: HEHEHEEHE
[7:12] Bluey💙: anyways we should be there soon, theres also going to be 2 surprise guests
Amy lets out a surprised gasp, her eyes widen and heart jumps at the sudden mention of guests before typing away. Maybe this could be her chance to find herself–possibly–a new lover! Just maybe...
[7:12] Me: DO YKNOW THEM?
[7:12] Bluey💙: duhh, but im obv not goin to tell u who
[7:13] Bluey💙: its a surprise remember? -_-'
[7:13] Me: awwhh okay, ur noo funnnnn
[7:13] Me: MYBE I CAN FIND MY LONG AWAITED LOVEE EEKKK!! 🤭🤭
[7:13] Bluey💙: chillaxx ames, mybe this time dont title the first person u see as ur crush
[7:14] Bluey💙: because dudee, u never get the chance for urself to srsly build up ur feelings, u come back to us 24/7 whenever nothin works out with the first person u see
[7:14] Bluey💙: no offensee btw-
[7:14] Me: non taken, i get that sonic, im rlly trying my hardest!!
[7:14] Me: I just dont want to mess up again...
[7:15] Bluey💙: u'll be a-okay with us by ur side, dw ames :)
[7:15] Me: thxxx,, im SUPERR excited either way, ill see u soon! ttyl! ❤️❤️

Amy then shuts off her phone, sliding it right back into the pocket of her dress with now a nervous, yet thrilled smile, humming to herself a sweet tune as she waits for her friends to come.

Bouncing her legs impatiently against the step, she lifts her head up from the sound of a horn, noticing a big white camper van that looked very new and clean, it was hard to keep her eyes away from it, the top and bottom rims were a bright red and red stars spreaded out all over it to completment them.
"Woahh..." Amy mumbles to herself flabberghasted, her eyes pratically sparkling as the camper van made its way up to the front of her porch steps, from up close it looked 10x better, whoever painted it sure had a sense of style!
Trapped in a long dumbfounded trance, she doesn't notice Sonic waving his paws frantically in front of her face before snapping his fingers, causing her to snap out of her daze while blinking her eyes repeatedly.
Sonic chuckles and shakes his head, lazily placing a paw on his hip. "Righttt? Shadow did a way too good of a job on painting this bad boy." He quips in a been-there-done-that tone, relating to her surprised trance.
Amy stares at Sonic speechlessly, as if he murdered someone, her jaw slightly dropping from him mentioning Shadow doing the sick panting job, not believing it at all. Not that she held a grudge against him, she just didn't think Shadow had it in him to do this.
"Anyways, you look nice! ...Buuuttt we seriously need to get going, we just need to pick up Cream and then we're on the road." He chuckles, tapping his foot against the sidewalk unpatiently.
"Okay, thank you!" She finally exclaims, snapping out of her thoughts–a tint of pink creeping onto Amy's peach cheeks from embarassment of Sonic's compliment. Nodding her head, she sighs, picking up her clunky luggage and piko hammer without effort–despite how heavy it was–as she steps into the beautiful camper van.
Inside, it looked just as better, everything was spotlessly clean and pratically shimmered with the sun beaming through the curtains of the tinted windows. Amy, being the clean freak she is, couldn't have been more happy. This day couldn't have gotten any better!
Just beside her, Shadow sat there on the drivers seat brooding, staring out of the front window with his eyes narrowed and mouth in a straight line. Typical Shadow.
On one of the built-in sofas, Tails slouched against the edge of it, his usual techy tablet in his hand and earphones plugged into his fluffy ears. Probably was planning out one of his many inventions with music.
At the very end of the van, Knuckles was watching the TV that came built into the van as well, sitting near by a table as he ate grapes. All of his undivided attention was onto it like it was the master emerald. At least he wasn't destroying anything, Amy thought to herself, giving everyone inside a friendly wave, not wanting to interrupt any of them.
Before Amy places her luggage and piko hammer into one of the overhead bins that was full of everyone elses luggages, she carefully takes out her cat headphones from her luggage, making sure nothing spills out from how compacted everything was. Eventually taking it out with ease and zero messes.
Now sitting on the couch across from Tails, she connects her bluetooth headphones to her phone, hitting the play button on her favorite MobTube playlist, which, was titled, "✨️🎀 Long trip vibes~!! :D💕✨️", full of a bunch of songs that can only be described as 'preppy' and girly. Amy's favorite kind of taste!!
As Sonic finally steps in and sits himself onto the passenger seat besides Shadow, the door of the camper van slides shut and with the turn of the van key, the motor begins to start.
Shadow taps on the screen secured just below the front mirror, activating the gps to guide him to Vanilla's house, shifting the gear lever to driving mode. Slowly but steadily, the wheels begin to move and with the blink of an eye, they're off on the road.
Amy, now fully relaxed and humming to herself, follows her eyes throughout the many houses they pass by, taking the time to really admire people's different personalities and thought process when it comes to decorating and gardening as an excuse to distract herself from thinking about love for the time being.
It is going to be one heck of a ride!
