[ Cautiously, a singular eye opens just a tad, not to gaze at her friends, but to look beyond, into the blinding darkness. Odd it was that it seemed to creep around her now, the reinforcement provided by the fire nothing more than a small flicker amidst a sea of black. Previously the fire could have illuminated enough of their surroundings to where walls, at least, were visible, but now? Now, not even they could be seen; had their fire grown weaker, or the darkness stronger?
Was she dreaming? Her eyes open, fully, and the darkness does not recede-- she stares beyond it, as if focus would cause it to deteriorate and weaken, trying to read potential movement beyond it. Lively chatter clouds the rest of her senses, dulled by a sharp, piercing ringing in her ears, was there danger beyond them that she just couldn't recognize? Are they going to be hunted? ]or alternatively
