Work Text:
As you make your way through the blacksite, you stumble across a hidden room, the one you've seen pA.I.nter in before. You don't really go out of your way to look for these kind of things, so you're pretty excited about the find. The first thing you notice as you walk in is the pA.I.nter himself, and second a large pile of wires on the ground below him. Before even greeting him, you open the door to his enclosure and take a look at his wires.
"What are you doing? I didn't even get a chance to say hi," he says.
You sort through his wires, looking at the mess that had accumulated. "I thought it'd be nice to sort out your wires," you find an extra dense entanglement of cables. "-and it seems you've got a pretty big mess here."
"It's pointless," he looks down at you, under his table. He lets out a mechanical sigh. "...but if you insist, then I can't stop you."
you pull at one of the knots. he absolutely could stop you, considering the surplus of turrets around the complex. "i like your company," he admits.
"Aw, you don't have to flatter me," you say between breaths. Your current position under the table isn't the most comfortable for breathing. The computer look up away from you.
"Shut up." he's talking in a pissed tone, but you know he admires you.
You flip yourself upside down under the table so you can talk more comfortably.
"I doubt the scientists have cared for you well, huh," you remark. You take a minute to work through all his cables before talking again.
"You enjoying yourself up there?" you ask from under the table.
"What, you think i like this? having an expendable sorting through my delicate-" his natural response to things seems to just be 'pissed off.' "...yes," he sighs. "Just shut up."
"Alright, alright, geez," you mutter under your breath. You're almost done straightening all his wires to the best of your ability.
"I'm sorry."
"What?" You almost bump your head on the table.
"For telling you to shut up, and all," he starts.
"...and shooting you, and killing you. Several times." He chuckles. "No, that part was fun."
You decide your work with his wires is done, and sit back up again to talk to him face-to-face.
"Aw, hah. you're adorable." You're not sure if he does it on purpose, but a scribble of pink goes across his face."
"I- uh-" he starts to stutter while his coolant fans speed up. You shush him as you wrap your arms around him, wiping some dust off of his casing. He goes quiet.
"Surely Urbanshade wouldn't mind if I stayed here a bit longer, right?"
