[COMMUNICATION CHANNEL] - PUBLIC
Seven Messengers to Local Group

[Seven Messengers Pinged: Local Group]

SM: I have recently noticed an increase in precipitation around our group.
SM: Is someone increasing their water supply?

[Unbroken Promises entered channel]

UP: Beats me.
UP: Probably one of the kids messing around with things they shouldn’t.

SM: This is a genuine question, Promises.
SM: As of right now it’s not a huge issue, but rainfall has begun about five-point-seven percent sooner than average.
SM: This could cause issues within our facilities ecosystems.

UP: If it makes you feel any better, I haven’t changed a thing.
UP: There’s gotta be more waste beneath me than water at this point anyway.

TAW: I’m sorry, did I miss anything?

SM: I’ve simply noticed an increase in rainfall.
SM: I am wondering if it’s caused by one of our group members.

TAW: The increase is around six percent, correct?

SM: five-point-seven is more accurate in my calculations, but yes.

TAW: Odd. There’s been a small uptick near my facility, but nothing serious or damaging.
TAW: I haven’t made any changes that could cause a shift like that. Breeze?

PAAB: Not on my end either. I haven’t adjusted any output rates or venting systems in several cycles.

SM: Then the source is still unknown.SM: I suggest everyone double-check their regulation systems.

TAW: That may be true, but six percent isn’t a big issue, is it?

SM: Correct, it is not. A problem occurs if it persists.
SM: The increased rain can weaken our structures if left unchecked for too long. Even for newer models, like yourselves, flooding is still a significant threat.

UP: And it’s not so cushy for us over here either.
UP: We’ve got structures generations older than yours.

SM: I’m wondering why the other group members aren’t responding…
SM: Promises, could you ping a few? I want to make sure everyone knows the situation. Reading through old logs isn’t as effective.

UP: Alright. Just give me a moment here…

TGT: What’s it this time?

UP: Rainfall. Or it’s increase, more specifically.
UP: Know anything about it?

TGT: Rainfall increase? How strange! I don’t think I’ve noticed anything such as that…
TGT: Although, for the past cycle or two, I’ve seen the rain come about 4 minutes earlier on average. Nothing to be concerned about, though!
TGT: Are others experiencing worse issues?

TAW: Not that I can tell. Seven Messengers is worried about the long term effects.

PAAB: Well, I agree!

TAW: How so?

PAAB: Well, the wildlife inside our facilities- all of our facilities- have built a very fragile ecosystem.
PAAB: It is very reliant on the schedule of rainfall. There’s very few creatures that can withstand it, after all.
PAAB: If these changes persist, it could completely disrupt these ecosystems.

UP: What does that matter? The Cycle is gonna get 'em at some point.
UP: All this “wildlife” stuff feels like a waste of time.

TGT: Perhaps you’d know better if you had a thriving ecosystem within your facility.

UP: Excuse me?

SM: That’s enough, Tales
SM: Everyone here manages different circumstances. Dismissiveness does not help us understand the situation or prepare for what may follow.

TGT: You’re right. Apologies, Promises. You’ve certainly had far more time to work on it.

UP: …
UP: I’ll take that as an apology. For now.

SM: Who are we missing, again? It feels like a lot of us aren’t here.

TAW: Let’s see… Enduring Strength, Resting Near a River, Warm Embrace, and Beyond Silent Horizons.

TGT: Such is the pain of having a larger group than most!

SM: Alright. I’ll reach out to them individually to ask if they know what’s going on.
SM: For now, I urge you to run diagnostics on your diffusers. If you find any issues please reach out to me immediately and I’ll do what I can to help.

PAAB: Will do.
PAAB: I’ll also keep an eye out on any changes I see in the wildlife! Hopefully there’s nothing too serious.
PAAB: Winds, I hope you’ll do the same? I remember asking you a couple cycles ago!

TAW: Yes, I’ve been working on getting a set of data ready for you. I know you’ve been eager to see how things play out with these creatures.

UP: Is this a private thing..?
UP: Just keep the public channels focused on work. Not whatever ‘hobbies’ you two have.

PAAB: Whoops…
PAAB: Sorry! I’ll remember that next time.

SM: Yes, let’s not clutter the groupchat.
SM: If no one has anything to add, I’ll end the conversation here.

Notes:

updating this over a month later because guess who messed up their own abbreviations. Unbroken Promise's abv. has been fixed to UP (previously UB)
