Frisk was watching tv alongside Marie and an excited Patricia as they finished the episode of Annie of the stars.
Annie : Thanks a lot Sagan looks like the homeland of this place has been saved.
Sagan : Rawr Ra Raw Rawr!
Annie : Hehe yeah I know Sagan I'll treat you right after that (She looks at the viewers) And remember kids to see the stars is to have hope!
Then both Annie and Sagan do a magical girl pose which forms a ball of energy surrounding them then it covers it completely before blasting off to the stars as the episode ends and rolls out the credits.
Patricia : Hahahahaha! This one was great!
Marie : Patricia! You know who is watching now?
Patricia looks at Marie with a reading expression before she realizes what Marie is going to do now.
Patricia : Uhhhhhhhhh (Frisk can you help me out here?!)
Frisk just sat while staring at the tv with no way of helping Patricia with her problems which Patricia groans while raising her arms off apathetic.
Patricia : Fine! (Reluctantly gives her the remote)
Marie : (Smiles) Thanks Bestie! (While hugging her tightly as Patricia is barely breathing with her life)
Marie switches the channel that instead shows a wrestling match which Frisk took notice of interested in something new on the channel.
Marie : Oohh! There is this one that sticks me out.
Patricia : The beo guy weirdo?
Marie : First of all Patricia is Beowulf and second why are you soooooo negative about him?
Patricia : I'll tell ya! This guy is so strange the way he kept on flexing his fame like it is his entire life and who in the world wants this annoying guy at the ring?
Marie : Come on Patricia! He is not that bad! Frisk what did you think about Beowulf?
Patricia : I think he is bogus!
Marie : Patricia...
Patricia : Fine! What's it gonna be Frisk?
*What do you think about Beowulf?
He is awesome!
He is weird!♥️
Repeat
He is awesome!♥️
He is weird!
Repeat
He is awesome!
He is weird!♥️
Repeat
He is awesome!♥️
He is weird!
Before Frisk was going to decide what they chose about Beowulf Mr Hilgard came in the room to tell the three an announcement.
Mr Hilgard : Hey Marie, Patricia and Frisk the kids are going to do a game of baseball and they wanted you three to go play with them.
Marie : Sure Mr Hilgard! (Turns off the tv much of Patricia dismay as she thought she could get the chance to watch it first)
Marie : Come on guys! Let's get going for a game of baseball.
Mr Hilgard : Good at least this is only a bad part when my friend has lost his kitchen knife somewhere.
Marie : Wait really?!
Patricia : Heh it probably has to be the children playing that stuff.
Mr Hilgard : I.. wouldn't think about imagining it.
Marie : Ok then.. Frisk can you be a dear and bring Patricia with us?
Marie : ...
Marie : Thanks Frisk!
Frisk looks at a moody Patricia then decides to drag her and holds Marie's hand then the four walk outside to see many children at their position in the game of baseball.
George : Looks guys! They are here!
Tom : Woohoo!
Nana : Come on guys! Stay in your positions!
Shaya : This better be our chance to beat Patricia!
Many children prepare in their position for the game to start.
Marie : Hehe (They are really serious this time since Patricia kept on beating them) Alright then.
Marie : Now Patricia and Frisk which one would you play as?
Patricia : This game is way too easy for me I'll let Frisk decide which role they take.
*Which one do you play as?
Pitcher ♥️
Thrower
Patricia : Ok then, Marie! Give me the ball!
Marie : Ok I guess I will have to support you with what you do guys.
Patricia takes the ball from Marie and goes to her position before shaking their hands and holding the ball with a hard grip.
Patricia : Ok Frisk you better be ready cause your about to be crying like a baby!
Marie : Patricia!
Patricia : What? I'm trying to raise Frisk up to be more sturdy!
Patricia : And besides if they can ride a motorcycle what else can they do to surprise me?
Marie : And you're going to insult Frisk because of what happens next?
Patricia : That's not what I'm trying to- Never mind you're going down Frisk!
Frisk went into their position as they were behind by the catchers then Frisk was given a baseball bat which Frisk equipped it in.
*Baseball Bat
64 Atk
This baseball bat had been used to precisely hit balls at high speed, it also was added in your newest moveset for move attack.
Mr Hilgard's Pov:
It was exhilarating to see all the children playing together even Patricia and the new one here.
Although I wonder how this is going to go? Patricia first played it and since then no one has beat her so much so that she prefers to watch on tv instead of playing with the younglings.
For now I'll just enjoy what I can see where everyone is happy.. Well most of them.
Then I see Patricia that is going to be a Thrower and Frisk in their very first game to be a Pitcher. Huh I wouldn't have thought Frisk would be the one to play the active role here.
But let's see if Frisk can break down Patricia's winning streak, not that I wanted that to happen here I think equally everyone would win with their thoughtfulness.
Narrator's Pov:
The seventh child steadied themselves holding the bat while the loving cartoon looks carefully at the ball and at Frisk with fierceness in her eyes while the young blooded maiden prepared the game to start with an enthusiastic and shining signal for both competitors to get at each other's neck the sun is high showing a similar shine of a star point that holds memories to what the young adventurer holds dear most as the kids turn players holds their tense state not even sparing a glance at each other knowing how it all goes as they all had never seen the monster's ambassador and monster's savior of underground standing before them.
Then the first action follows Patricia throws the ball that spins and in a single line at air that it goes fast even younglings could react at a fraction then Frisk grips the bat tighter then they ever go determined then swing that the bat felt the instance wall of air slowing it until it becomes faster and faster until.
*You missed the ball, you have two strikes left.
The persistent child heard a grabbing noise coming from behind feeling the 3 layers of defeat and that one is the first layer then Frisk stares at their friend turned rival who smirks at the lost child like they are the first victim to go against them.
Marie winced at the sight and filled with guilty knowledge of what Patricia is capable of as the sun goes on shining like the star fan shines with confidence in their first strike.
Patricia : Haha! Looks like it is something you all nerds had!
Normally all children show their disdain of pout at Patricia for they are too victims to Patricia and Frisk won't be the last thing Patricia would lose to.
However Frisk likes to continue like the wind continues to blow through the tense area as all the children reluctantly continue while Patricia smirks brighter secretly loving their enthusiastic Perseverance then she takes another ball feeling the hype she can feel from her unbreakable winning streaks that she thought she was-
But so does Frisk's endless Determination as they calm themselves down to feel the air surrounding them like the earth refuses for them to lose not this close, Frisk tightens the bat even more as they brow more than ever which shows Patricia a bit happy for them to see lose.
Patricia stretches and swings her arm like a machine exhausted the pressure to build more strength then she grips the ball tight as staring at Frisk then she smiles before her body takes immediate action to throw the ball once again the air forms around it like a bigger version of it as Frisk goes in a steady motion that can be threatened to move a single moment for one missed and one missed can show dread to the surrounded children of Patricia's unbreakable winning streak then as the bat was showing to get closer and more closer to the ball it.
*You missed the ball, you have one strike left.
Patricia laughs ridiculously that had haunted the victims felt it through and for Frisk?
This is the second layer and one strike left and if they missed one more time it is over for Frisk, which had upsets them a little but then they were cheered up by Marie for being what they do best of a sister to all orphans.
Marie : It's ok Frisk you just need a little patience for you to win now you can keep going oooooor you can play other games?
Patricia : (Smug) Heh! Yeah I agree you should GIVE UP for another game maybe something I'm not good at!
Mr Hilgard : Now now Patricia, we let Frisk decide if they wanted to truly continue the game right my child?
Frisk stood there motionless despite all the people's suggestions it had filled them with something else even though their Determination is growing even stronger there was another sensational feeling that they can't describe and when they heard the word Patience until they realized what they needed was not only Determination but Patience.

Frisk stood their ground as the sun shines towards Frisk instead of the cartoon lover which surprises everyone even though they were trying to wonder what the new orphan was thinking?
But Patricia felt it from Frisk no, not just Patricia but Marie and Mr Hilgard they can feel the burning passion from Frisk inside and outside their body they can tell that something is going to change but their minds never wonder why?
Then Patricia smirks then holds out her hands signalling someone to give her the ball for one and as the third layer for last time this time without holding back on Frisk not out of confidence or anything else that she can tell Frisk isn't the type to give up.
Marie couldn't help but ponder that Frisk had made something to Patricia which is why she was like that until she realizes that Frisk is the only one everyone would get closer to even when they met or even their eyes sighted them for a moment yet they can feel the love Frisk which is the reason why Mr Hilgard and herself were smiling they were the reason why Patricia kept a closer eye on Frisk.
Mr Hilgard : This child is the one that pushes Patricia out of her she'll and that includes you too Marie for helping her.
Marie : (Nods happily) Yeah... They are really loving for everyone.
Then Patricia stomps her foot gaining everyone's attention on what she has to say.
Patricia : Hah! You're too persistent for that! How about I'll stop holding back?
Patricia looks at Frisk's face and she can tell Frisk isn't denying when they want to see what she can do.
Patricia : Heh.. I shouldn't have questions you kid!
Patricia stomps her foot so hard that it shows the stomp of her foot as she reels in her arms and at the same holding the ball tighter and tighter that even the air forms around her hand as her grinning smile shows to everyone she is REALLY not holding back Marie tried to stop her but it was already dispensing in the air but Frisk is unresponsive the air forms around the ball was even bigger and bigger which was about the size of a basketball Frisk was unresponsive the ball was getting closer and closer which the sun was starting to heat up the place making the entire game even more intense and yet after all of that Frisk was unresponsive until time slow down and the ball was slow as the snail time was a moment for everyone but Frisk? They reels their bat waiting for it as the Fs bar is slowly draining and draining at the same time the ball is getting closer and closer which was about to go past them but it never did.
*Strike! You hit the ball!
Frisk took the opportunity to force the ball to spin so much the time of a moment started to go back and everyone started to see Frisk that as they notice Frisk they all show a shock face the bat hitting the ball it had spins so much that Frisk barely held it all together it was too much for them but their DETERMINATION is more! They started to push more and more effort on the ball that it spins so much it started to glow like a star and with one final push.
*Strike
The ball was sent flying into the air which completely baffled everyone as they saw the ball was still going then.
*HOME RUN!
Everyone was going crazy the orphans were celebrating madly because Frisk has done something none other children had done beating Patricia as Marie and Mr Hilgard were shocked and very VERY impressed by Frisk's great skill and even to perform a Home Run on their first game at the last one strike.
Patricia was hit the most her winning streak was completely shattered and her pride and confidence was deflated as she stared at the ball that had finally landed in the forest at the same time she fell into her knees still in her shock state and before the situation was about to tense up she noticed Frisk standing in front of her, are they going to show off? Are they going to insult her? Before the negative thoughts could take her Frisk holds up a hand which confused her a bit before she reluctantly takes it and she was helped standing up by Frisk while that was happening Marie was alarmed by this heartwarming sight and she was happy that Frisk is here for Patricia just like herself and Mr Hilgard is here for her.
Patricia was questioning what Frisk wanted exactly? She had thought that she didn't even move a moment until she was tugged by Frisk as she finally gained attention at Frisk before she now knows what Frisk wants.
Patricia : ...
Patricia : "You had fun playing with your friends?" Frisk? Are you- (Tries to hide her smile) Thinking of me as a friend? Even if the situation we are in?
Patricia : ...
Patricia : Hah... Hahahahahahahaha! Wow you really are a dork aren't ya? (She put her arms around their neck before knuckles their head) I guess you're just that cool for even the Skullgirl to affect your love heh?
Marie : Awwww that's very nice of you two!
Patricia : What! I mean huuhhhhh.... I have been losing my touch on the game and besides! I can always try again!
Mr. Hilgard: That’s good for you, children. I’m glad you're having fun.
Suddenly, Marie tilted her head, furrowing her brows as she looked over the courtyard lawn where the children had been playing earlier.
Marie: Wait a second… didn’t we only have three balls?
The realization hit all three of them at the same time. The group fell silent.
Mr. Hilgard: Uhhhh… I suppose we can buy another ball?
He turned to Frisk, who had stepped forward, holding onto their sleeve slightly as they looked up at him.
Mr. Hilgard: Hm? What is it, Frisk? You want to say something?
He bent slightly, reading their quiet gestures and expression.
Mr. Hilgard: …
Mr. Hilgard: You… want to get the ball back?
His tone softened, surprised and touched.
Mr. Hilgard: That’s very sweet of you. However, I want to make sure you, Marie, and Patricia are taken care of—don’t go too far, alright?
Marie blinked in surprise. Patricia just stared.
Marie: Frisk… you want to get it?
Patricia: W-wait the ball isn’t that dee—
Mr. Hilgard: (cutting in firmly) It’s fine, Patricia. Frisk made the decision. Are you going to argue with them?
Patricia opened her mouth, glanced at Frisk’s quiet but steady gaze, then closed it. She clicked her tongue, pretending to be annoyed.
Patricia: Aghhh—alright, fine! Come on, Marie! Let’s get the dumb ball!
Marie: (smiling) Sure thing, Patricia. Come on, Frisk! Let’s go!
Frisk reached up and gently held Marie’s hand, and the three of them stepped out past the gates and into the forest path behind the estate. The last rays of daylight shimmered behind the trees, creating long, creeping shadows between the trunks. Leaves rustled above as the wind whispered gently through the forest canopy.
Patricia took the lead, confidently pushing through low branches and ferns, as Marie and Frisk followed closely behind. Her steps were light, but full of memory.
Patricia: Okay, if I remember right, the ball went toward the river side. From my brain… and my genius instincts.
Marie: Yeah, yeah… that’s also where Mr. Hilgard made us camp for a weekend. Remember?
Patricia: (grinning) Oh, I remember all right. That was the time I threw mud at your face.
Marie: What?
Patricia: (quickly) Nothing!
Marie: …
Patricia: …
Marie: (laughing) You’re terrible. Anyway—Frisk, congrats! I didn’t know you had that in you.
She looked down at Frisk warmly.
Marie: …
Marie: You took my advice, huh?
Frisk gave her a small nod. Marie couldn’t help but smile.
Marie: Aww, that’s sweet of you.
Patricia: (smirking) Heh. I guess even if you beat me, you still needed someone’s advice. That’s fair.
Marie: (raising an eyebrow) Is that really why you think Frisk beat you?
Patricia: Come on, Marie. Think about it. Why’d Frisk get encouraged at the last second? My best friend gave them a pep talk. That's practically teamwork.
Marie: (teasing) Wait, wait, wait… did you just admit I’m your friend?
Patricia: (defensively) I never said you were an annoying goodie two-shoes, did I?
Marie: …Wow. Patricia, that was almost thoughtful of you.
Patricia: Yeah, yeah. Don’t get used to it.
As they continued, the forest grew thicker. Moss clung to the bark of ancient trees, and the air grew cooler the farther they went. The sounds of crickets chirped quietly underfoot, and frogs could be heard croaking in the distance. Faint rays of moonlight started to bleed through the trees now, as day surrendered to evening.
They eventually reached the edge of a familiar clearing—once a campsite, now overtaken slightly by wild growth. Nearby, the glint of something red stuck out—half-hidden in the highest branches of a towering pine.
Patricia: Oh hey—look! There it is!
She pointed upward, and all three of them followed her gaze.
Marie: You’ve got to be kidding me. It’s all the way up there?
Patricia: Yep! And we’re getting it now.
Marie: No way. That’s too high. We’ll come back in the morning—it’s not going anywhere.
Patricia: What?! Come on! I didn’t drag us all the way out here just to look at the thing!
Marie: I like that you’re helping Frisk, but Patricia, that tree’s taller than anything we’ve climbed before. This is dangerous!
Patricia: Hey! A tree’s a tree! What’s the difference if it’s big? I’ve got legs, don’t I?
Marie: Patricia, that logic is beyond terrible.
Patricia: I’m still going up there!
Marie: You’re not going to make it halfway before falling on your back!
Patricia: Don’t jinx me!
As the two continued their back-and-forth, Frisk quietly stepped back a little, their eyes still fixed on the ball and the tall, ancient tree it was caught in. The night wind had picked up slightly, brushing leaves along the forest floor. Somewhere in the distance, the river whispered its quiet rhythm.
Marie and Patricia, still locked in their disagreement, didn’t notice right away that Frisk had started doing something.
Frisk went in front of the tall tree that has a save point with it and they hold out their hand on the save point.

Forest - Tall tree

______________________________________________
Frisk looked up at the massive tree before them. Its long, reaching trunk twisted toward the sky like a tower of rough, ancient wood. Many of the lower branches were either bare or filled with suspiciously thick clusters of leaves—places that looked easy to grab onto, but were likely hiding insects or slick bark. Some branches were brittle, others suspiciously perfect. It was no ordinary tree… and Frisk could feel it.
Yet they stepped forward anyway.
The wind whispered between the trees, and the air carried the scent of moss, bark, and the faintest trace of mist from the river nearby.
*Want to climb the tall tree?
Yes ♥️
No
Without hesitation, Frisk stepped forward and placed their small hand on the trunk, choosing the first branch carefully. Their fingers gripped the bark, testing it with a light pull. When it held firm, they boosted themselves upward with surprising grace.
Behind them…
Patricia: —and I can tell you again, Marie, that we can absolutely climb that tree if we just— (turns her head casually, then freezes in place as her face goes pale)
Her jaw dropped.
Patricia: …What the heck…?
Marie: No, no, no, Patricia! The only reason you're even allowed to climb trees is because they’re, like, eight feet tall max! This is a forty-foot nightmare! You know that’s forbidden! That’s why you’re not supposed to climb this! (She turns to point dramatically at the tree.)
High above them, Frisk had already passed the lower boughs, carefully stepping onto a crossbranch as they examined their next move.
Patricia: …
Marie: …
Marie: So... did you understand what I’m trying to say now?
Patricia: NO!!
Marie: Patricia! I told you not to—wait—
Patricia: FRISK IS CLIMBING THE TREE!!!
Marie: WHAT?! (Whips around, eyes wide) FRISK!!
Sure enough, Frisk was already a good ten feet up, hands tightly gripping the side of the trunk as they shifted onto a higher branch. Their legs moved with focus. Their eyes never wavered.
Patricia: FRISK! GET BACK DOWN HERE!!
Marie: FRISK PLEASE!! You're going to get yourself hurt! Come back down right now, we can figure this out together!
But Frisk didn’t stop.
Their fingers gripped another branch. They reached upward again. Then again.
The breeze picked up slightly, ruffling their hair and the leaves around them. The higher they climbed, the colder the air grew, and the less sound they could hear from below—Marie and Patricia's voices now sounded distant, muffled by wind and height.
Far below, Marie ran to the base of the tree, staring up with panic in her eyes.
Little do they know Frisk has climbed something higher than a tree and falls down even higher than a tree as Frisk is careful what they did not to make the same mistake again they carefully make choices on the branches that have leaves cover that could hide something inside.
*Three branches, one has a small branch in the middle while the other has two with bushes covered in.
First Branch ♥️
Second Branch
Third Branch
*...
*...
*...
*...
*...
*You grabbed unto a branch... It had nothing.
Frisk then steadied themselves on the branch, their hands gripping its weathered, sun-dried bark. The tree creaked faintly beneath their weight, a living groan echoing up the trunk like a warning. They looked carefully to the next set of branches—three options lay ahead.
The first one looked too thin, bowed already by the weight of time.
The second was thick, sturdy, but partially stripped of bark—a potential slip hazard.
The third one… had a nest.
Frisk leaned forward, squinting. Small twigs were interwoven with dried leaves and feathers. It wasn't empty—inside lay two pale, speckled eggs, warm in the sunlight. If Frisk moved onto that branch, it might snap or shift. The nest could fall.
They paused.
For a moment, the forest around them grew quiet, like the trees were holding their breath. Even the wind seemed to ease. Frisk looked at the nest again… then at the other branch.
No.
That path would hurt something else.
Frisk shifted to the second branch, testing it with a cautious foot. It groaned, but held.
Far below, Marie and Patricia were not holding together as well.
Patricia: FRISK!! THERE’S NO NEED TO GET THAT DUMB BALL!! JUST COME BACK DOWN!
Her voice cracked with panic—she hadn’t yelled this loud since the water balloon incident last summer.
Marie: LISTEN TO US, FRI—SK! MR. HILGARD MADE A BAD CALL! JUST FORGET THE BALL!!
Their voices were desperate cries in the wind—reaching out, but not reaching Frisk.
Above, Frisk jumped.
They leapt from the second to a higher branch, the arc of their body graceful, weightless for a second… and then—
CRACK!
The branch they left behind snapped where their foot had been.
Patricia: (screaming) NO NO NO—
But Frisk had landed.
They were okay.
The girls' hearts plummeted faster than the cracked branch, which bounced through the limbs below and thudded into the undergrowth. Frisk kept moving, climbing steadily, like they didn’t hear the forest crying out for them to stop.
The sunlight began to thin as Frisk rose higher, the leaves above thickening into a canopy of glowing green. Shadows danced over their face, and the breeze up here tasted different—crisper, sharper. The forest below began to look like a painting: distant and flattened by altitude. Frisk was so small now to the girls that they barely looked real anymore—more like a flickering shape caught between the branches and the sun.
And then…
They reached it.
Nestled on the fork of two branches near the very top, bathed in golden light, was the red ball.
A little scuffed. A little muddy.
But intact.
Frisk inched forward, grabbing onto a side trunk for stability. Their legs wobbled slightly—not from fear, but from exhaustion. They'd climbed more than halfway to the sky, it felt like. The breeze brushed against their face like fingers trying to pull them back. But Frisk reached forward.
And grasped the ball.
Silence.
Marie: …
Patricia: …
The world stopped turning for a moment.
Patricia: (finally whispering) I don’t know if we should be happy or… or absolutely terrified.
Marie: (clutching her chest) M-maybe both…
They both stood there, staring up at the tiny figure in the tree, hearts pounding like bass drums in their ribs.
Patricia: (taking a shaky breath) Nevermind then… (cups her hands around her mouth) FRISK! BE CAREFUL UP THERE, OK?!
Marie: Just do what you did before! Slowly! Step by step!
Frisk, still high in the tree’s upper arms, gave a tiny nod—barely visible, but enough.
Carefully, they adjusted their footing. Their arm curled around a trunk for balance, and they turned slightly.
Then…
They let go of the ball.
It fell, tumbling in a small spiral through shafts of light, past leaves and startled birds, spinning down—
Patricia: (arms out) I GOT IT!
The ball bounced once on her forearm and rolled into her chest, which she hugged it against with relief.
Patricia: (exhaling hard) Phew… Is this kid trying to give me a heart attack or what?!
Marie: (still watching the tree) I honestly don’t know anymore…
She shouted up, voice trembling:
Marie: OK, Frisk! The ball’s safe now!
They both looked up, now focusing on the even worse part of this whole ordeal—getting Frisk back down.
Frisk hadn’t moved yet.
Patricia: Alright! Deep breaths! (she says mostly to herself) Now just be careful on your way down, Frisk!
They watched as Frisk began to descend, reaching carefully for the branch they had used before. Each movement was deliberate now. Cautious. Methodical. The reckless urgency of the climb had vanished—now it was replaced with the full weight of the height. Every crack of bark under their foot, every sudden shift of wind, made Patricia and Marie tense.
Patricia: (muttering) I swear if this kid gets back down I’m gonna ground them myself—
Marie: (quietly, folding her arms) You do realize we’re the ones who followed them into the forest, right?
Patricia: Shhh. Let me feel like a responsible adult for once.
A bird darted out from a nearby tree, startling Marie, who jumped.
Marie: Agh—!
Patricia: Breathe. Just breathe. We’re almost there.
They watched as Frisk made it halfway down, past the higher canopy and into the clearer lower limbs.
Leaves rustled.
A piece of bark tumbled loose.
The forest held its breath again.
Then a branch shook, but Frisk adjusted.
They kept climbing.
Marie: Yeah! As long as you did on climbing up, you should be climbing do—
CRACK!
A thunderous snap echoed through the forest like a whip. One of the branches beneath Frisk gave out.
Their footing vanished.
Frisk’s arms flailed for a grip—but there was nothing. Gravity claimed them in an instant.
They were falling.
A blur of green and brown rushed past their eyes, the world spinning, the air howling in their ears.
Below, Marie and Patricia looked up—and screamed.
Marie: FRISK!!!
Patricia: NO NO NO NO NO!!!
Time warped, stretching seconds into minutes. Every heartbeat pounded in their ears as they scrambled underneath, trying to calculate—guess—pray—for the exact place Frisk would land.
Patricia: AHHHHHH WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO—?!
Marie: JUST LISTEN TO ME FIRST!
Patricia: WHICH WAY!? LEFT?! RIGHT?! WHERE ARE THEY GOING TO FALL!?
Marie: HOLD ON—HOLD ON, PATRICIA!
They split apart under the falling shadow, eyes darting to follow Frisk’s descent, trying to be at the right spot. It was impossible. It was chaos.
Frisk was a blur above them now. Twisting. Tearing through air. Their arms were tucked around the ball like it was part of it.
Marie: NO! NO! THEY’RE GOING TO—
And then—
FWISH!
Out of nowhere, vines slithered up from the forest canopy like green lightning. One lashed out, spiraled upward, and wrapped tightly around Frisk's waist mid-fall—snatching them from the air like a marionette.
Frisk’s momentum was snapped in a sudden jolt. The vine held. It coiled once around their chest and once under their arms like hands lifting them to safety. Frisk dangled in mid-air, motionless, stunned—eyes wide and breath frozen.
Patricia: ...
Marie: ...
Patricia: (staring, jaw open) Did the green lady herself decide to help Frisk…?
Marie: Patricia! That wa—
Before she could finish, the vine moved.
It didn’t lower Frisk down.
It pulled back.
Like a fishing line yanked at full speed, the vine retracted, dragging Frisk through the trees, high and fast, vanishing deeper into the forest.
Marie: FRISK!!!
Patricia: WAIT! WAIT FOR US!
They took off running, tearing through bushes, jumping over logs, leaves scratching at their arms, branches smacking their faces.
Frisk was limp in the vine’s grasp, eyes wide, still clutching the ball with white-knuckled fingers, drifting like a leaf being carried by a stream. They couldn’t speak. Couldn’t scream. The wind around them roared in their ears. They were weightless.
Patricia: (panting) MARIE! KEEP PUTTING MORE ON YOUR LEGS!
Marie: (gasping) I—I CAN’T!
Patricia: (furious) MAYBE YOU SHOULD HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT WEARING SOMETHING ACTUALLY BENEFICIAL FOR ONCE!
Marie: PATRICIA, NOW IS NOT THE TIME!
Their voices cracked with exertion. Their legs burned with each step. They weren’t running—they were chasing. Sprinting through tangles and shadows, chasing something they didn’t even understand.
The forest changed as they moved. The trees grew taller. Denser. Stranger.
Vines hung from the canopy like curtains. Unnatural glows flickered beneath the foliage. Mushrooms the size of dinner plates pulsed gently with light. And still—the vine carrying Frisk snaked farther and farther ahead.
Patricia: (screaming) STOP! PLEASE JUST—
But the forest didn’t answer.
Marie: (gritted teeth) WE CAN’T LOSE THEM! WE CAN’T!
They kept going. The pain in their lungs didn’t matter. The scratches, the stings from nettles—none of it mattered. Their friend was being taken.
But their bodies… were not limitless.
Patricia: (stumbling) DAMN IT! I—I CAN’T—
Marie: DON’T GIVE UP, PATRICIA!
Patricia: (voice breaking) I’M TRYING BUT I—
Suddenly, they burst into a small clearing.
And there was nothing.
No vines. No shadows moving in the trees. No hint of where Frisk had gone.
Just silence.
Marie froze. Patricia staggered beside her, barely able to catch her breath. The clearing felt unreal—like stepping into a dream. Still. Too quiet. Even the birds were gone.
Their eyes scanned every inch of the forest floor, the branches above, the shadows in the trees.
But Frisk… was nowhere to be seen.
There was no trail. No rustling. No footprints.
Only the wind—and the sinking weight in their stomachs.
Patricia: (shaking) ...Where... where did they go...?
Marie: (trembling) No... no no no no no...
They looked at each other—silent horror carved into their faces.
Marie and Patricia: (screaming together) FRISK!!
The name echoed into the trees.
Frisk was still being pulled through the tangled canopy by the vine, their legs lightly brushing the tops of ferns and low branches. The ride had gone on far longer than expected—long enough that Frisk calmly reached into their pocket and pulled open their inventory menu. Just muscle memory by now Frisk stared at it, then quietly closed the menu.
As if on cue, the vine began to slow. It jerked slightly, giving Frisk time to brace, to prepare themselves to descend. They bent their knees instinctively, getting ready to touch the ground—but the vine didn't lower. Instead, it loosened like a thread unraveling, gently setting them atop a soft patch of moss before slithering back into the earth without a trace.
Frisk stood still. The forest was eerily quiet again.
Then the dirt in front of them trembled. A small patch of ground cracked open. A familiar shape—small, round, and golden—popped out of the soil.
Two beady eyes blinked. A jagged mouth grinned. Frisk didn’t move. But their eyes… their eyes said everything.
??????: Howdy, Frisk! You remember me, don’t you?
??????: It’s me! Your best friend!
Flowey: Flowey the Flower!
Flowey’s grin stretched even wider as he sprouted a little taller, wobbling slightly in the soft dirt.
Flowey: Heh. I guess the coast is clear for now.
Flowey: How are you, Frisk? It was SSSsssooooo great to see you again!
Flowey: (giggles) You have no idea how boring it’s been. Days, weeks, maybe more! So I decided—hey! Why not follow you around?
Flowey: And how did I find you, you ask?
Flowey: It’s simple, really! Even if I don’t have as much Determination as you… that doesn’t mean I don’t smell it. Hehehe…
Flowey: Besides, what else am I supposed to do? Sit there and rot? Watch rocks grow moss? Pfft. I'd rather risk being stomped on again.
Frisk shifted slightly, still listening, but saying nothing.
Flowey: Anyway! What have you been up to, huh? Strolling around this lame place like it’s a vacation? I had to slither past a bunch of bones and weirdos just to track you down!
Flowey: (squinting) Skeletons… bleh. Still not over that spaghetti guy. But whatever.
Flowey: ...
Flowey: Heh. Figures. You always liked going around, didn’t you?
Flowey: But come on, Frisk! There’s gotta be something you’ve learned. Some cool new trick? Some terrifying monster? Some drama?
Flowey: ...
Flowey: Huh? What’s a… “blockbuster”?
Flowey: ...
Flowey: (leaning forward) Oho? Sounds fancy! And how’d you USE it?
Flowey: ...
Flowey: (gasping over-dramatically) W-wait—you ACTUALLY had to fight back?!
His grin snapped into something enormous and crooked. He burst into laughter, flailing his leaves and rolling side to side in the dirt.
Flowey: HAHAAAH!! Ohhh, Frisk! That’s rich! You? Fighting back? Gee, wipe away the pacifist act much?
Flowey: (wiping tears with a vine) Did “kill or be killed” finally make its way into that thick little skull of yours?
Flowey: ...
Flowey paused.
Flowey: Huh?
Flowey: ...
Flowey: (blinking, slowly) So you… fought... but didn’t finish them off?
Flowey: ...
Flowey stared for a long moment. Then chuckled again—this time softer.
Flowey: Huh. That’s… weirdly you. You always were the bleeding-heart type. Guess some things never change, huh?
Flowey: ...
Flowey: (smirking) Well, now I have to stick around. That’s just fascinating. A version of you that fights but doesn’t finish.
Flowey: Hey, don’t worry about the others knowing I’m here. I’ve gotten real good at hiding. Not that it’s hard. These surface folks barely look down anyway.
Frisk watched Flowey’s vines stretch up. They didn’t recoil this time. Instead, they held out a hand—silent, calm.
The vines coiled around Frisk’s wrist, not tightly, but with surprising warmth. In a single smooth motion, Flowey lifted himself from the dirt and gently pulled his leafy body onto Frisk’s shoulder, nestling near their neck.
Flowey: (grinning) Hehe! It’s sure comfy up here! Way better than cold, dry dirt and muddy leaves.
Flowey: ...
Flowey: Well, I have! Just not in the ways you expect. Besides… now that you’ve done something different, it’s only fair.
Flowey: (raising a brow) Since I taught you all the tricks underground…
Flowey: You gotta teach me how to do “that.” Whatever that was. Deal?
Flowey: ...
Flowey: (laughs softly) That’s the Frisk I remember.
*Teach Flowey to do blockbuster?
Yes ♥️
No
Flowey : ...
Flowey : Huh! This is easier than I expected!
Flowey : I think it is fair I will be helping you from now on!
*Flowey is added to your ACT menu and you have the ability to throw attack your opponents.
Flowey : Now what are we going to do no-
Before that Flowey heard two voices and a rustling in the bushes which is a signal for Flowey to go inside Frisk's hiding spot before Marie and Patricia finally found Frisk fine and no longer wrapped in vines.
Patricia : There you are Frisk! (Gasping for air) Man are you trying to make me work out or something?
Marie : Patricia is just that Frisk isn't doing it.
Patricia : Yeah I know, anyways what on earth happened to you?!
Marie checks on Frisk's state to see if they got hurt for getting dragged by a vine that they never knew where it was from.
Marie : ...
Marie : You seem fine to me.
Patricia : Lucky you (Pouts) the one time I fall down from a tree it hurts like hell!
Marie : Patricia, you kept on climbing the tree from the kids who wanted to play with you of course you got hurt from falling down!
Patricia : Heh whatever! (Rolls her eyes) Anyways we should go back before Mr Hilgard noticed it.
Marie : Yeah.. Come on Frisk let's go
Marie grabbed Frisk's hand then the three set off back to the orphanage as Frisk would look around at the forest and see the sun halfway through going down for a moment then they heard Flowey's whisper.
Flowey : Psst! I have something to ask you...
Flowey : Can you tell me who these idiots are?
Flowey : ...
Flowey : Marie and Patricia? Huh, I guess for now I'll just keep an eye on everything no need to do that yourself, because your best friend would be your ally from now on!
Flowey : And besides there is no better way to explore these places you hav-
Patricia : Hey Marie, did you hear something?
Marie : Uh? No I don't think so?
Patricia : Huh, I thought I heard a voice somewhere ooorrr maybe it was my imagination.
Marie : Yeah I think of what you said.
Frisk, Patricia, Marie and Flowey finally went back to the castle which they finally sighed in relief then they entered the entrance to see most children doing their own thing.
Flowey : Heh, if mom and dad's dreams are shared they probably dream of this.
It filled Frisk with Determination and holds their focus with Patience as they knew tomorrow they would leave but for now Marie comments on Patricia and Frisk.
Marie : (Sniff) Yeaaaaah I think you need a shower now.
Patricia : What? Whaddya mean? It smells fine for me.
Marie : That is because you do not want to take a shower is that right?
Patricia : What! I'm not trying to-
Mr Hilgard appears after Patricia was about to finish her sentence.
Mr Hilgard : Hello girls it is good to see you back and thank you for bringing the ball back (Takes the ball) anyways I think we should freshen up after all it did make you all sweat right?
Flowey : ...
Flowey : There is no way.
Flowey : I cannot unseen this Frisk!
Flowey is comparing Mr Hilgard to Asgore with similar size, similar horns, and their fluffy personality which Frisk already knew.
Patricia : But but-
Marie : No but Patricia!
Patricia : Aghh fine! Come on Frisk let's go!
Patricia : Huh? What are you trying to say Frisk?
Patricia : ...
Patricia : You wanted to do it yourself? Well... It is better than watching you butt naked.
Marie : Patricia!
Marie : But with that aside I guess I can let you do it.
Mr Hilgard : Good now I'll be taking the clothes and bringing you a new one maybe not something you cherished but it would do, do you mind?
Mr Hilgard : ...
Mr Hilgard : That's great Frisk.
Frisk would go inside the bathroom as Flowey let's go off Frisk as he would stick to the sink.
Flowey : Man... That was something alright..
Flowey : ...
Flowey : Oh yeah! I shouldn't be looking at you so I'll just wait then.
Then for the next 25 minutes Frisk would be taking a shower as for Flowey he was making secret passage out of boredom since he had nothing else to do then he checks on other children, house staff and Frisk's new friends while he left a vine behind as when Frisk is finish they would pull it to call Flowey indicating that they are done.
Flowey : ...
Flowey : I wonder what that maiden trash bag has been doing?
Flowey sees Marie cleaning up the place with quick efficiency which Flowey admitted she sure is dedicated to the place she calls home while that sticking cartoon idiot was watching on tv not bother on helping which Flowey can respect for her absolute lazyness but nothing compared to that smiley trashbag who is a competitive lazy skeleton.
Flowey : Hmmm this was something..
Meanwhile Frisk had finished taking a bath at the same time the house staff brought Frisk some clothes which is just a color palette version of their own clothes but instead their color is orange and green which Frisk checks on before they wear it which felt comfortable then they see a vine which they went towards, grabbed it and yank it which Flowey pops out from a ground.
Flowey : Hey Frisk! It seems you ar- (Stops for a moment of recollection) You uh.. It started to remind me of someone I know just without the yellow color...
Flowey : ...
Flowey : Nevermind! (He goes back to Frisk then hides himself) Let's go Frisk!
Then Frisk would spend an hour with everyone here then it started to be late at night which the house staff sent every child to sleep as Marie and Patricia would let Frisk be on their bed but first.
Marie : Huh? Frisk what is it?
Marie : ...
Marie : Ok I'll let you do something you want but don't try doing it without sleeping just like Patricia did.
Patricia : Hey!
Marie : Now be a good kid for me ok?
Marie : ...
Marie : Good.
Frisk would go to a specific spot slowly and quietly just to make sure Mr Hilgard and the others weren't awake then they went to the living room.
Flowey : Hey Frisk, why are we here? Oh wait a minute I know what your trying to do I'll just let you-
Flowey : Huh!?
Frisk shows Flowey a shiny blue crystal which shocks Flowey for a moment.
Flowey : ...
Flowey : You.. Wanted me to use it?
Flowey : Awww Frisk you would of course, as your best friend I guess I'll take it.
*Flowey has taken and used the Theonite...
...
...
...
*Suddenly Flowey's magic and appearance is getting stronger.
Flowey : Woah! That power.. Is something I've never seen like that before!
Flowey : Frisk.. Where did you get that?
Flowey : ...
Flowey : In the room full of boxes you say?
Flowey : Well I guess we can search for it tomorrow I can feel the power of this stuff growing in me!
Flowey : Now I wonder what we can do with this power?
Flowey : ...
Flowey : Yeah. I almost forgot I'll let you do your own thing.
Then Frisk went to the save point and put their hands on it before they finally went back to the bedroom to sleep for the final day.
