Chapter Text

1957

MID-ATLANTIC

The cool waters of the sea crashed against the steel of the ship. Two men looking at the sea, the sunlight adding a beautiful shine to the water. A man rested inside a room, blonde hair rested on his head as he stirred in his sleep, remembering the reason he had chosen this type of career

Hiroki got out of his bed, sweat rolling down his head as he remembered the day he found the audio logs, the voices of those he trusted and loved. His mom Kaede, his sister, Kanako, his childhood friend, Ayumu, and his girlfriend, Nao. They betrayed him and left him for an American they barely knew. But that was back when he was seventeen in 1953, he had the rest of his life to live.

He looked over everything, his dive suit ready, its oxygen tanks full. Stepping out he approached the diving bell, the men having it ready by the time he stepped out "Well, there he is." Said a tall fat one. The shorter one chimed in "Well? Get in the bell, your time here is limited after all." He said.

Doing as told Hiroki stepped into the bell as it began to lower. "Who is this joker anyway?" Asked the short one "He can hear you." "Oh." Hiroki didn't mind their banter. he easily understood why they wanted to know why he would go to the middle of the Atlantic Ocean for.

They continued to chat away, talk about things like water pressure and how the water was cold. He knew that, he didn't spend his time as a deep sea explorer to not know information like that. Soon enough he heard the bell land on the ocean floor, the depth making the ocean appear dark. He stepped out, the cool water engulfing him.

He walked along the ocean floor, the sand beneath his feet being left with a print of his suits boot. He continued his walk until he eventually stumbled across a city? No that wasn't a right, a city couldn't exist down here, but he was seeing it, the silhouette of people walking and living clear as well. "Holy smokes!" Spoke the man that was watching from Hiroki's suit camera.

Hiroki watched as circular submarines past by him, going to the city in view. He stared in awe, until the awe was replaced by horror as two capsule like objects quickly zoomed past him, heading to the boat that had brought him here "Torpedos in the water! Get ready to-" the man couldn't finish as their attempt to move away failed.

Hiroki watched as the boat exploded. His diving bell no longer connected as it began to fall, the shockwave pushing him off the cliff. He tried to hold on to the wire that connected him to his bell but like the boat, it failed. Hiroki couldn't scream, he felt himself falling down until eventually hitting the ocean floor with a thud.

RAPTURE

PERSEPHONE

SOME TIME AFTER HIROKI'S ARRIVAL

Hiroki gazed out of his cell, the trench below his only sight, aside from the occasional fish that would swim by. Hiroki had thought his discovery in Rapture would have been for the best. The people loved him, they had given him the name 'Johnny Topside' he was a celebrate to them.

Then Ryan came, he had sent his secret police after him, and no matter how hard Hiroki tried to explain how he wasn't a spy or that he wasn't sent by the government no difference was made, Ryan had him arrested.

He heard rumors that he was sold to be tested on for some sort of program, he could only wonder what it was he was sold

1958

The iron golem walked with heavy steps, his goal a simple vent on the wall that he knocked on with heavy strikes. Soon the sound of someone crawling was heard as a girl popped out "Look daddy. It's you!" She said holding a makeshift doll of him.

He picked her up, plaving her to the ground as she wrapped her hand around his finger, pulling him towards the path she wanted. "Let's go out to play daddy!" She said as the golem looked out the window, its own reflection in view. Soon enough she let go of him as he walked behind her. Catching up he saw her stabbing into the corpse, ADAM being sucked out.

Drinking the ADAM she wiped it from her upper lip as she giggled before sniffing the air "more angels daddy! This way!" She said as she ran off, the golem walking behind. He walked past the people who stepped back, cautious of him. His slow walk soon turned into a run as he heard the girl scream "daddy!"

Wasting no time he rushed towards her location, looking down the railing as he saw splicers surrounding the girl he lived to protect. Jumping over the railing he landed on one of the splicers as he looked over them all "You want some big guy?" Asked a splicer as he injected the ADAM into his arm, striking the golem with electricity.

The golem grunted as he revved up his drill "the bigger they are, the harder they-" before the splicer could finish the golem plunged its drill into the splicers guts, his scream music to the golem. Turning to the other splicer thr golem wasted no time, striking with enough force to snap the woman's neck.

Turning to the final splicer the golem smacked him, knocking him to the ground as he attempted to drill into the man's gut, only for said man to roll away in time and hit him with a plasmid that rendered him immovable. "He's perfectly safe now." Said a woman as the golem looked eyes with her.

"This is not your daughter, do you understand?" She asked the golem as she held the girl he had been protecting. "Her name is Eleanor and she is mine." She added as the golem could only stay still "now, kneel. Please." She commanded, an order he couldn't refuse.

"Remove your helmet." She instructed, which he did. As he did the golem felt an odd sense, an inner voice "how must I look like?" It sounded familiar, was it his own? He couldn't dwel on the thought any longer as she pulled out a gun, offering it to the golem "take the pistol, and place it against your head." She order. The golem shook as he grabbed said weapon, he didn't want to, but he couldn't deny the order.

The pistols metalic barrel felt cold against his deformed head, a few strands of golden locks remained, but that wasn't important, he looked eyes with the girl he was protecting, Eleanor. He tried to speak, but no words or noises could come out.

"Fire." Commanded the woman as the golems eyes widened "look away!" Said the inner voice again before the deafening sound of the gun firing was heard.

"Daddy!"

10 YEARS LATER

The golem rose with a groan, the damp feeling of a puddle providing as his only reflection "Alive?" Asked the inner voice from the very day he had been forced to shoot himself in the head. Who did that voice belong to? It didn't matter. Picking himself up the golem looked around until spotting his drill, quickly the golem grabbed said weaponry feeling its familiar weight on his hand once more.

The golem looked around himself. "What...happened?" Asked the unfamiliar inner voice, it sounded strained, like it needed to fight to say anything. The golem pushed the voice aside as he continued his walk, he had more pressing matters to focus on. Walking up the stairs and smashing his way through coral his eyes locked on to the gatherer's garden. Approaching the garden another voice invaded his mind, however this time it was feminine and familiar. "Father."

His daughter.

The golem looked towards the plasmid that was ready to be taken, he knew what he needed to do now. Approaching said plasmid he stabbed the needle into a hole in his suit, the left wrist, an opening big enough for just a needle. He clutched his fists as the electricity flowed through his veins, collapsing to his knees he waited for the pain of the ADAM flowing to cease. Soon enough the pain did end, and the sight of a little girl was in view "Daddy was sleeping for a very long time and Eleanor has missed you!" She said, "Find her and you'll be all better!" She added before a sudden screech pierced the air. The scream was soon followed by the sight of a lanky figure grabbing the girl and running off with her "Daddy!" Said the girl before disappearing.

The golem didn't hesitate to follow, its instincts to protect strong. His right hand covered by his drill and the left charged and sparking with electricity. His footsteps were loud and heavy as he continued to chase until a voice chimed into his helmet "Finally! A signal. You, who are bringing this dead city to life, listen." She said, and he listened. "My name is Tenenbaum, and I can help you. Meet me at the Atlantic Express depot train station." She said, he hummed in reply as he prepared to meet her, however, his journey wouldn't be easy.

Splicers and cameras in almost every direction he went, it was a cycle of constant violence, something he was thankfully made for. His path had led him to finding the little girl that had been taken in front of him. She turned around and looked up at him, smiling before whispering "Big sister doesn't want you playing with me." She said, and on cue, the big sister took her away again before coming back, no doubt to kill him. He drilled into her, her suit protecting her more than the usual splicer could resist. Switching to his rivet gun he fired at her in tandem with his electro bolt plasmid.

The battle ended soon enough, not with a victor but with the big sister running away after it became clear that she couldn't win. Following behind her the golem was met with another open room, the big sister on the rafters. He revved his drill, ready for another battle but instead, he watched as she lept down cracking the reinforcements on the glass before it broke, water flooding the room. He spun weightless for a bit before landing on his feet, the water was his ally. "With that suit, even the ocean can't harm you. Now you must hurry to the train station and find me." Chimed in Tenenbaum "Working...on...it..." strained the unfamiliar inner voice as the golem made his way through the sea.

His path wasn't long on its own, the obstacles that were present in the form of security cameras and splicers however made his journey more difficult than it should have been. With a final shot from his rivet gun the splicer fell lifeless to the ground as the golem clenched it's fist, a piece of debri floating near said fist. His daughter had been nice and left him the telekinesis plasmid for him to use.

Entering a room the door shut behind him as the many TV screens began to turn on, a familiar woman, the same one who had made him kill himself "It is Sofia Lamb! She has found you!" Said Tenenbaum as the Lamb spoke. "Subject Delta." He began "That's...what...I'm...called?" Strained the inner voice, why was it so persistent and why did it use I'm? Delta couldn't dwell on it any longer as Sofia continued. "The symbol on your hand marks you a dead man, ten years subject Delta since I watched you put a gun to your head and pull the trigger."

Delta stood still, glaring at the screens from behind the porthole that was his window. "I don't know how you survived, but these men will ease you of your burden, worry not. Just like everything I have done before, this is an act of love." She says "Me..killing you...will be an act of...an act of love" strained the inner voice as the window shutters opened.

Splicers came to view, beginning to open fire upon him, the glass holding ever so slightly before shattering. He used his electro bolt and precise aiming as the room he was in was set aflame, however, the struggle ended as the floor collapsed underneath him, falling down he felt as water engulfed him, putting out the flames. "You see now why I need to fight Sofia Lamb?" Asked Tenenbaum, Delta humming his usual whale-like song as he walked through the water until rising onto a dry section of Rapture. Making his way through he made it to an elevator that would take him closer to Tenenbaum. "Ah, you're getting near herr Delta, I'll be waiting." Chimed in Tenenbaum as Delta stepped out of the elevator.

Making his way to the train station and grabbing the trap revits that were available for him to take. Once satisfied he approached the ticket booth, pressing the button which opened up the shutters. In view, he saw Tenenbaum with multiple little girls. "You see now why I must fight Sofia Lamb? All around the world children are disappearing near the sea, and the Rapture nightmare will repeat forever." She said, Delta silently listening to her.

"Now, we-" "-Citizens of Rapture." Interrupted Lamb from the intercoms as the screen flashed an image of Delta's hand, the symbol that was marked on him clear, the second image a still photo of security footage of him. "This is Subject Delta, behind that mask lies an enemy of the people. Without soul or empathy-" the rest was drowned out as his mind began to hurt "without empathy" it was directed to him and yet he couldn't help but wonder, did he know people like that? Without empathy.

"You're so much better than that useless I call a little brother!" Said a woman's voice, coming from an audio recorder that sat on top of a bedside table. "Definitely better than him, I guess a useless husband makes a useless son as well." Added another, two more feminine voices chimed in, giggling and laughing as they repeated one simple sentence ".....he is SO pathetic and useless." They repeated until they suddenly stopped, as quickly as they had arrived in his mind.

"Please, hold the splicers back until we escape" Pleaded Tenenbaum, bringing Delta back to reality. Using telekinesis he grabbed the trash can and threw it towards one of the splicers as he began to fire rivet after rivet into their necks. With a final shot of electro bolt and his drill, he left a hole in the chest of the last splicer as he stomped on his head to be sure he was truly dead "Thank you, but now I must leave you, and I'm sorry for this." Said Tenenbaum "but there are others I need to help before the city drowns. This man, Sinclair. He is an ally and well guide you to Eleanor, good luck herr Delta." She explained before going silent.

The silence however was soon replaced by a man "Well, look at you! A bona fide knight in shining armor, complete with iron horse." He said, "I'm August Sinclair, Esquire." He added "Like...a...horse?" Asked the inner voice as he listened to what Sinclair had to say. "Old Tenenbaum and I share an interest in the old Fontaine building, the same place you'll find Eleanor Lamb." At this Delta replied with his usual whale song. " I think you and I can do business, take the train to Ryan's amusement, I'll meet you shortly." He explained.

Approaching the train he pressed the button to start the train, however the thought of the woman's voices mocking someone wouldn't leave his mind.

Did he know them?

Chapter 3: ADAM

Summary:

In order to reach Eleanor, Delta must first find ADAM to clear the way.

Chapter Text

"Whoa, now chief. Better put on the brakes unless you're planning on crashing into that glacier." Chimed in Sinclair as Delta approached the controls, pulling on the train's brake lever as it screeched to a halt. "...loud..." said the inner voice, the screeching of the train stopping was bothersome to Delta, and he felt compelled to agree with the voice.

The train doors opened as Delta stepped out, drill in hand as Sinclair called in. "Well, to get past that there glacier and get to Eleanor, we're gonna need a plasmid like hellfire. Check the amusement park. We used to sell a fine plasmid of incinerate there." He instructed as Delta made his way to the park. Fighting his way through splicers, he approached the entry to the park only to find that he couldn't get inside due to the lack of a ticket.

"...dumb..." thought the inner voice as Delta looked around for a ticket. After walking past a machine gun, he couldn't get (even though he could smash the glass with his bare hand or drill) he had found what he wanted, a ticket. Walking back, he saw the glass smashed thanks to the aid of a splicer, which he made sure to thank by smashing his head in against the wall.

Grabbing the now freed minigun, he turned around, going to the "power to the people" station, making sure that the minigun was as effective as it could be. Stepping out, he began to open fire on the waiting splicers, their skin being filled with holes as the miniguns' bullets shredded through their disfigured skin and bones.

Walking past the bodies, he used the ticket to gain entry, Sinclair chiming in. "Well, to get the incinerate plasmid, you're going to need some ADAM. The little sisters carry that stuff, so feel free to look around. I've already been on all the rides." He said as Delta walked around with loud steps. Shooting down the many splicers in the way. Continuing his way through the park, he was met with the sight of a little sister with her own big daddy, a bouncer.

"There she is, but to get to little sis, you're going to need to take care of her big daddy." Said Sinclair. Stepping close, Delta grabbed his machine gun before opening fire, the sounds of bullets bouncing on metal loud as the little sister hid behind her big daddy. Stepping to the side, he swapped to his drill as he dug into the metallic golem's arm before finally striking the flesh under the metal armor.

Pulling back, Delta struck the Bouncer, knocking it dead to the ground as the sister ran over to its corpse. "Mr. B!" She cried as Delta looked down to her. "Take a breather sport, you earned it." Said Sinclair as Delta approached the scared girl, her fearful attitude changing to a more joyful one as he approached. "Just let her ride on your shoulder, and she'll trust you like her own daddy." He added.

With a calming whale song, Delta knelt down, gently picking up the little girl before putting her on his shoulder, letting her be safe from the dangers of Splicers and the other issues that Rapture held. "Well, Plasmids cost a sizeable amount of ADAM, and little dimples can sniff out the stuff. There are corpses all over Rapture, so getting said ADAM won't be hard." Explained Sinclair. Delta turned his head to face the girl on his shoulder, who giggled before happily and proudly pointing towards a direction. "There's an angel this way, Daddy!" She said.

With a proud hum, he followed the path she had said would lead them to an angel, many of the things wrong with Rapture was how willing they were to use children for the task of ADAM harvesting, another was Delta hinself, people made into metal guardians with little to no free will. Something Delta luckily managed to avoid, his will was his own. Coming to a stop Delta looked down at the corpse of the man below his feet, the little sister on his shoulders exclaiming how they had found the angel that contained the ADAM they were after.

"Oh, she found a juicy one!" Chimed in Sinclair before continuing "Be ready chief, once you set her down the splicers are going to be relentless." He warned, which he made sure to prepare for. The trap rivets were set alongside his other hacked supplies that would be needed, and as warned the splicers began to attack while the sister gathered the ADAM.

Rivets through the necks, bullets piercing through twisted flesh, and his drill working wonders against the splicers. They may have changed since his time alive ten years ago but one thing didn't.

He was stronger.

With a final attack from his drill, the splicer collapsed to the ground dead. Turning around he grabbed the sister and began to walk towards the direction of another angel, his relatively peaceful walk was soon interrupted by one annoying lamb.

"That is a child of the family, not a toy for you to use and discard." "...hypocrite..." "It is fitting that you expire here, one more forgotten curio to Ryan's shrine to the self." She said. Which all Delta replied with was a loud groan as he walked towards the next corpse for the girl to drain of ADAM.

Yet as he did he couldn't help but wonder, why did her words hurt? They didn't hurt as in she was right, he wasn't going to discard the little sister after he was done getting ADAM but something about her words stung

"Oh my god! I should have thrown away that useless little brother years ago!" Mocked a female voice coming from an audio recorder. A boy? Was his hair blonde? Were his eyes blue or green? "...... Is so useless! I should throw that pathetic little thing away! He was nothing but a toy to me anyway!" Added another voice.

"Daddy, the angel is back there! Silly daddy." Said the little girl with a laugh as Delta was brought back to reality. Turning around he was surprised to find that he had in fact walked past the ADAM filled corpse. Setting the sister down he began his usual routine of protecting her all the while his mind continued to linger on the faint memory of that blurry audio recorder. Why was it so important?

He couldn't find a reason as to why and frankly he could care less at the moment as he grabbed a splicer by the throat before slamming them to the floor, stepping on their head before using the thunder bolt plasmid and telekinesis plasmid to deal with the splicers.

"All done, Daddy!" Cheerfully announced the girl as Delta shot a rivet into the final splicer's head. Turning around, he grabbed the girl before making his way to the nearest vent. It was one of the few ways the poor child could be safe from the dangers of Rapture. "Ah, there is her vent, now you can either harvest her to collect all the ADAM or turn her human again, I'm not telling you what you should do, but remember, Rapture is a high-stakes place." Chimed in Sinclair.

On one hand, Delta knew what Sinclair was suggesting, and he would be a liar if he didn't think that it would be better to harvest the sister for all the ADAM. However, something in Delta made him refuse that option with a strong sense of justice "No...protect...not hurt..." strained the inner voice once more.

And Delta listened.

Placing his gloved hand gently on her forehead he closed his eyes as a bright flash took over his view and the small girl resembled a normal human girl once more. "Thank you." She said as Delta helped her up the vent, watching as she crawled away to safety. "Well look at that! Our tin man had a heart after all. Personally I call that a liability but you have enough ADAM for our purposes, barely." Chimed in Sinclair.

Going towards the gatherer's garden, he used the ADAM to buy the incinerate plasmid. Injecting it into his suit, he watched as the tips of his gloved hands lit ablaze, the fire within his arms a blazing well of hot pain that soon passed. "Relax, chief, you're fine. Once you're ready, come back to the train station to melt the glacier. I'll meet you there." Said Sinclair. Heading back towards the station, Delta was met with a piercing screech as he grabbed his minigun. "Crap, a big sister. Get ready, chief." Warned Sinclair, but Delta froze once more. Big Sister, those words triggered something in him as he looked down at his own hands.

A woman came into view, orange hair that faded to black, or was it? She was blurry, difficult to see as if she had been long forgotten, engulfed by dust. Her face became clearer, blue? No green eyes in view, familiar green. yet the reason for that familiarity escaped Delta.

Another piercing shriek engulfed his ears bringing him back to reality as he clenched his left hand, the fire ready. The door was ripped open as the big sister launched forward, running to the side he avoided her attacks. Quickly he struck with incinerate before following it with electro bolt and another incinerate attack, making sure the sister was incapable of fighting back effectively. Switching to heavy rivets he shot at the sister, the sister regained movement as she jump on top of him, piercing him with the needle but Delta persisted. Tossing her off him he rushed with drill in hand as he impaled into her suit, drilling a hole into it befire smacking her with said weaponry, taking the chance Deltra grabbed his minigun and began to fire on the sister until she finally collapsed dead, allowing him to take the ADAM she had alongside extra supplies.

"Well what a show! Not even a big sister can hold you down sport! Now, come quickly, we have a train to get ready." Praised Sinclair as Delta did as told. Making his way back to the station he used the incinerate to melt the glacier before heading over to the train control station to open up the path for them to continue on their journey to Fontaine Futuristics. As promised Sinclair showed himself to Delta, a sly yet slightly trustworthy smile being presented to him "You and me kid, we're going places! I already see you as a valuable business partner. Come on, lets take the train." He said as he walked into the train, taking a seat inside.

Heading out of the control room Delta killed the splicers that had been sent to slow them down, a failed plan from Sofia's part as Delta killed them with no struggle. Entering the train he started it up once more, yet his mind was stuck on the weird blurry flashes of women and voices that kept plaguing his kind, specifically that woman with the orange and black hair, was she important to him?

It didn't matter. He knew of someone that was important to him

Eleanor.

Chapter 4: Pauper's Drop

Summary:

Delta continues on his journey, however people and words continue to confuse Delta as images and voices flash in his mind.

Notes:

Sorry for the delay, had to reply Bioshock 2 just so that I could have an idea of game events and how I could rewrite them for this fic.

Remember, not everything is 1:1 to the actual game.

Chapter Text

The train ride was as boring as before, moving from one spot to the other like it should. However it gave Delta the chance to think, ponder the images and voices that would flash into his mind, voices that weren't his Eleanor.

Both the train and the train of thought in his mind were interrupted as he saw a splicer far bigger and more muscular (more than likely from constant ADAM use) than any he had encountered on his journey. He watched as the brute jumped on top of the train. Loud noises as it ran on top of the train, banging on the roof of the train before it eventually ended. "Well, I'm sure you will be able to handle that big one!" Said Sinclair from behind before returning to the safety of his train cart.

Stepping out of the train he heard the train doors close behind him as he heard the intercom activate "Attention family. Subject Delta is trapped in Pauper's drop. All railcart travel is on lockdown until he is found." She said as he let out a laugh like whale song at the suggestion that he was the one trapped. "Not...trapped" chimed in the mental voice.

"It's a damn city wide lockdown. If we want to make it to Fontaine Futuristics then you'll need the override key, the local governor should have it. Grace Holloway, she's probably in my old hotel, the Sinclair Delux." Chimed in Sinclair as Delta grabbed a splicer, lifting them by the head before slamming them back down to the floor and stomping them out. They were all in his way of him getting his daughter, his Eleanor back.

Stepping through he was met with the sight of a Rosie dead under a pile of rubble. Delta couldn't help but feel pity for it, like him, it was merely doing a job until its untimely demise. However he had his daughter to get too, and nothing would stop him from seeing her again. Grabbing the minigun next to the Rosie he took the rounds from it to use in his own weaponry. Walking past he saw as three splicers worshipped around a vent as a little sister made her way inside.

He hated it.

No time was wasted as he lit one of the splicers on fire before quickly using telekinesis to throw a piece of rubble towards the second before finishing it off with an electro bolt. Taking advantage of their dazed state from his surprise attack he quickly shot rivets into the heads of the two splicers before slamming the final one to the floor and drilling into their chest. Walking towards the entry he saw as the same big splicer attacked two small splicers, its brutish strength putting them to shame as he ran away. Soon enough once he made it to search the corpses he heard the intercoms turn on as an unfamiliar female voice spoke "I remember you, Monster." She began "Grace..." was all the usual strained voice would say "You took baby Eleanor from me, and turned that sweet child into something not human, something that can't die." He grunted in annoyance, he didn't take her away, Eleanor was his daughter, the logic was simple.

"And now you come swanning into my neighborhood? Looking for me? Wrong turn tin daddy." She said as he killed a few splicers in the way, he was beginning to tune her threats out as he made his way to Sinclair Delux, he just wanted to get the override key and be done with it. "When we hang you from a streetlight, and you're choking on your last breath...I want you to remember my face." She ended as he rolled his eyes under his helmet. Making his way into the Sinclair Delux he watched as a brute splicer threw rubble towards the ceiling causing it to collapse.

"Well, that big log just knocked half of my damn hotel on you, let me see..." said Sinclair as he clicked his tongue before seemingly remembering something "Alright, as I recall their should be a genetic research camera nearby. You can use that as a way to work out how that brute got so big." He explained as Delta approached the fuel station, filling his drill up before turning around with determination in his steps.

He hacked his way through, cameras and turrets obeying him as he grabbed a double-barrel shotgun from the corpse of a man, it would be a useful weapon for when a splicer was unfortunate enough to get close. Exploring around he was fortunate to find the weapon upgrade station, turning his double-barrel into a sawed off in order to ensure that it would be deadly.

Using the code he had heard from one of the audio logs he made his way into the medical wing as he took the stairs up, walking across the roof before dropping into the building, finding the camera Sinclair had mentioned "There it is, just point it at someone and it will start recording, it should tell you more about their DNA, just make sure your hitting it with everything." He explained. Heading to the door he saw as a splicer stood unaware. Taking the chance he began to record before breaking down the door and grabbing the splicer.

He was careful, he didn't want to kill the splicer immediately as he made sure to get all the research he could get. Once the research was completed he stepped on the splicer's back, walking away to look for a brute. However soon enough he came across a big daddy with a little sister, seeing the chance he started recording said big daddy before attacking, a mix of shooting, melee, and plasmids in order to advance his research for the use it could provide.

Taking the sister and bringing her to his shoulder he continued on his way looking for ADAM as Grace continued her rantings "Family, that monster has taken another child of the family for his own! We must hunt him down and drag him back out to the sea." Delta merely groaned as the battle blurred quickly in his mind. The constant research and battling of bullets and plasmids and shit talking from the splicers and grace annoyed him deeply.

After what felt like hours he took the sister to the vent, turning her human again as he watched her bow and thank him before going to the vent, crawling up

"H̶̟̱̓̒į̸̧̯͎̿̈͂̀ŕ̷̗̺͆̇ö̷̫̝̺́̂k̶̯̿͋͛͠í̶̥̥̝-nii! You need to focus!" Said a black-haired girl as her face was blurred, she was wearing a white shirt and pants with black belts around her, she stood excited in front of someone as a shadow appeared from behind her

"Kid! Focus!" Shouted Sinclair into Delta's ears as he quickly turned around and grabbing a splicer by the throat mid-air before tossing them back to the others as he made sure to dispose of the other splicers. Walking past the corpses Sinclair chimed in again as Delta made his way to find another little sister to rescue and a big daddy to research. "Chief? You okay, you randomly zoned out, you weren't responding to me either. It was like you were in a trance." He said, why was this happening to him? Why was he having these weird moments of seeing images and hearing voices of women he didn't know.

Unless, did he know them? The girl with the black hair sounded familiar. Pushing that to the side he groaned in reply as he started to research another big daddy, doing the same routine as usual before taking the sister with him to gather the ever useful ADAM in his journey. Soon enough, Grace began to speak again as he began the ADAM harvesting "Tin daddy has no family to call his own! Which is why he steals these girls from us, because he is envious of the Rapture family." She said.

He found himself losing focus, images of a blonde-haired man and a women with brown hair, and another with orange hair that faded to black. He remembered the orange-haired one, she had appeared in his mind at the mention of a big sister and he couldn't figure out why, and now he couldn't understand why these three people were showing up at the mere mention of family.

"Daddy! I'm all done!" Cheered the sister which brought Delta back to reality as he grabbed her, heading to the last ADAM-rich corpse. The routine went as usual, a blur all things considered as he soon enough headed to the vent with the sister on his shoulder as he got his camera ready "Father! The girls left you a gift by the gatherer's garden." Said Eleanor in his head as he hummed in delight.

The delight was interrupted by the ever-so-familiar screech of the soon-to-be-dead big sister. As soon as he saw her he began to record, using his plasmids, his guns, and his fists themselves to ensure that his research would be worth it. Grabbing her by the shoulders he slammed his head onto hers. The damage proved fatal as she collapsed to the ground dead. Taking the last bit of ADAM she had he headed to the nearest garden, finding a teddy bear with a gift box which he opened, taking all that was left for him and putting it to good use.

Once satisfied with his upgrades and new plasmids he turned, heading to the Sinclair Delux as he had originally came to do. Taking what he had researched from the brute splicer he revved up his drill before quickly rushing to the rubble, sending it flying as he broke through "Outstanding sport! Now Grace should be on the top floor, get on up there and persuade her to give you the key." He said as Delta did just that.

Running through the dark halls he made short work of the splicers, in all honesty Delta couldn't tell if the splicers were getting weaker, or if he was getting stronger.

He was close to Grace, he could feel it as he held on to a tape he had collected a while ago, he related to the man on it far too much. Mark Meltzer. He had collected a few of his tapes before, documenting how he came to Rapture looking for his daughter. He felt sympathy for the poor man, he was just like him, wanting his daughter back, but unfortunately, he was certain that one of the many splicers he had killed must have been him, another victim of Rapture.

Making his way into Grace's room he looked around the disheveled mess, broken glass and items all scattered on the floor as he reached for the tape on the bed. As it played he listened to what the pre-recorded voice of Grace had to say, how she was left to care for Eleanor when Sofia was arrested, and how she lost her after looking away for just a moment.

Turning to the poster of Sofia he ripped it off the wall as he was met with a hidden button. Pressing it he heard as something slid up to the left of him, he saw as the wall lifted on the closet as he walked inside, seeing the door in which Grace was hidden behind. Approaching the door window he wiped it clean as the woman smoked her cigarette before putting it down on the table and turning to face Delta "I know what you came for...take it, I won't have you touching me." She said as she placed the override key on the desk. Grabbing her cane and standing up she approached the door, her eyes glaring at him.

"Dr. Lamb trusted me to look after baby Eleanor, and I tried." She said, Delta could care less, he just wanted the key "But she disappeared one day, and one day I found her walking with you. Looking wrong." She added as Delta clenched his left hand "And when I tried to hold her? You knocked me down, broke my jaw. Well, im ready baby snatcher, come in here and finish the job." She threatened as she stepped back.

The door opened up as he stepped through, Sinclair chiming in "Your call chief, Gracie's unarmed for what it's worth." He said. Delta grabbed the key before turning to face the woman, it would be so easy for Delta to kill her, to snap her in two, to crush her under his boot. But he wouldn't, she had only attacked by a lack of information, by not knowing the truth, a simple misunderstanding.

"Use...strength...to protect...not..hurt..." strained the inner voice. With a low growl, he turned and walked away "What are you doing? Come on, kill me!" She shouted as he continued to walk away "To hell with you." She said as he made his way back to the train "You're a bigger man than me chief, maybe now she'll stop pointing fingers before all the facts are in, lets go." Said Sinclair.

With a nod he continued his way to the train as Grace chimed in once more "You had me under a gun, and you just walked away? No monster does that, a thinking man does that." She said.

Man

Man

Man

That word repeated in his mind, he had some connection to it beyond further biology that he couldn't truly begin to understand, his focus was on it purely, tuning out Sofia and only focusing on getting back to the train. He had to be greatful for Grace sending him the elite bots to go with him, making his journey easier as he kept thinking of the word, man.

"H̶̟̱̓̒į̸̧̯͎̿̈͂̀ŕ̷̗̺͆̇ö̷̫̝̺́̂k̶̯̿͋͛͠í̶̥̥̝ is nothing to a man like you~" spoke a woman as two others began to giggle alongside her, a large shadow behind all three.

"Well, sport? Put in the keycode and let's be on our way." Said Sinclair as Delta focused once more, finding himself in the control booth, inserting the key he entered the train as it screeched to life once more.

Chapter 5: Church

Summary:

Delta is getting closer to Eleanor, but as always people interfere.

Chapter Text

The train moved its way through the water as Delta looked out the glass. The view was beautiful, Rapture had always been so beautiful from what Delta could recall. Of course, humanity had failed to live up to the promise of what Rapture was supposed to be, a utopia. Soon enough he heard the sound of someone chiming in on his radio. "Hear me, O ye who would murder the Lamb of God. Ye shall never reach her garden." Said the man with a confused growl Delta watched as a torpedo came into view, images and voices flashed in his mind quickly.

"Torpedos in the water! Prepare to-" the voice ended with an explosion as a man in a dive suit fell off a cliff, hitting the sea floor with a thud.

Soon enough the images in his mind turned real as he watch the torpedo clash with the train, destroying the glass as the shockwave sent him flying out, floating down the water before hitting the floor, his vision fading to black.

Delta woke up after what felt like eternity, looking around he was met with...concrete? He looked around, items were floating around him as if they were weightless underwater, looking down at his own hands he was surprised to see them...normal? The leather and metal that he was so accustomed to were gone as he stood up, he felt smaller, shorter as he kept looking around. He looked back to his hands, the skin was a light pale, the back part of his hands still remained marked with the symbol of his namesake.

Confused he took a step forward before stumbling, walking without the weight of his suit or weapons proved more difficult as he stumbled up and continued to walk. He looked around the surreal environment, audio logs and broken photo frames floating around. Yet as he continued aimlessly walking a sudden spotlight lit up, shining on top of a bed with a dresser next to it, a photo of four and an audio log in front of it. Delta approached the photo as he grabbed it, he recognized the two, the brown haired woman and the orange-haired one, he had seen them in his mind before. Looking at the blonde man he felt uneasy looking at him, and finally, a little blonde boy was in the hands of the orange-haired girl.

Putting the photo down he began to play the recorder as he kept looking around the infinite space he was in "H̶̟̱̓̒į̸̧̯͎̿̈͂̀ŕ̷̗̺͆̇ö̷̫̝̺́̂k̶̯̿͋͛͠í̶̥̥̝ is so pathetic." Said a woman as the others and a man laughed "I know? I should have left that shrimp dick years ago!" Added another voice as Delta could only step back, why was he even hearing this for? "I can't believe I spent my childhood years with someone as pathetic as H̶̟̱̓̒į̸̧̯͎̿̈͂̀ŕ̷̗̺͆̇ö̷̫̝̺́̂k̶̯̿͋͛͠í̶̥̥̝" added a third "Such a disappointment of a son. But you can give me a better son~ can't you?" Added the final woman as the man laughed before the tape ended.

Delta watched as the empty infinite began to flood with water, the fear Delta felt was unspeakable, he was without his suit, and if the cold and water pressure didn't kill him then he was sure the drowning would. The water clashed against him as it pushed him back far away from the bed as he could only growl as the water engulfed him further until his vision faded to inky black once more.

"Kid? Come on wake up..." Pleaded Sinclair as Delta groaned before standing up "There you are. I thought you rode that torpedo into the great hereafter." He said as Delta looked up at the train rails, trying to figure out the path it was set on "Im in Dionysus park chief, but the whole damn place is flooded. But there should be a way to drain the park from back there, in Siren Alley. And uh, try to hurry. The train is damaged and leaking air...I only have so much air in here." He explained.

With a nod, he turned and headed to Siren Alley as the dreaded voice of Sofia Lamb spoke "I see Father Wales has parted you from your craft" she began as Delta walked his way through the water "and yet you cling to life. Congratulations. Today, Delta, you meet a man who has no fear of death, and for Eleanor..he would burn with a smile." She said before leaving him in silence "He...will...feel...fear..." strained the inner voice as Delta made his way to the Siren Alley.

Draining the airlock Delta stepped into Siren Alley as his drill was ready. Walking past he saw a rumbler explode a few splicers. It was a nice show, but he had to help the little sister.

He wasted no time, using his drill dash to immediately close the distance and get the first hit in as he lit the rumbler ablaze before stunning it with electro bolt. Another hit from his drill and a final shot from his rivet gun proved to be the final strike as the rumbler fell.

Turning the corner he saw as a horrific long-limbed splicer turned to face him before shouting "The beast of Ryan lives! Gather the family!" He said as his uncannily long limbs allowed him to jump up the wall, crawling away as Delta could only pat the head of the girl on her shoulder to calm her down. "Mother of mercy, I think that was Simon Wales. What has he done to himself?" Asked Sinclair as Delta merely decided to focus on his ADAM gathering.

It was routine as usual, taking heavy steps to collect the ADAM and in the process killing Sofia's followers, the crazy cultists were a threat he absolutely hated to be around. But the ADAM was worth it, it made him stronger

After the same routine of collecting and protecting and researching before freeing the sister from the slug forced into her. He continued to work effectively and quick, making his way to find the pump to drain the park so he could make it to Eleanor. Yet as he made his way towards a now opened door his mind stayed distracted on the dream he had experienced.

The name the women were saying, he couldn't hear it, or did the name even exist? And the photo on the dresser made everything so much more complicated for him. He just wanted to get his daughter out of the living hell that was Rapture but people had to continue to complicate and make everything difficult for him.

Grabbing the brute he grabbed him by the head before slamming him over and over again against the fence before the beating proved not only fatal but efficient at forcing the doors open as the brute's body broke the fence that had been in front of the doors. Walking in he was met with a corpse hung up on the wall by spears as he ripped them out before grabbing the spear shooter that was leaning against the wall. He continued on his path with the sister on his shoulder. He was quick to ensure that no one could live against him. Looking up he was met with another spider splicer, although it was a different one from Simon as Delta ran up the stairs, slamming the smaller and weaker splicers in his way.

Smaller and weaker.

Those words began to ring in his mind for reasons he couldn't understand.

"H̶̟̱̓̒į̸̧̯͎̿̈͂̀ŕ̷̗̺͆̇ö̷̫̝̺́̂k̶̯̿͋͛͠í̶̥̥̝ is so much smaller and weaker compared to a man like you!"

Delta stopped walking as he looked down at the corpse in front of him as he gripped his helmet. These voices and images that continued to invade his mind like a plague were beginning to anger him, however he wouldn't let that get to his head as he regained his calm before gently placing the little sister down.

Guarding her he continued to show his strength as the battle blended with the many he had endured previously before the sister cheerfully announced her success. However he wouldn't take her to a vent just yet as he continued to chase the splicer that continued to run from him. With a dash of his drill Delta closed the distance as he pierced the splicer to the floor as his blood stained his porthole. Searching the body he found an audio log which he played, soon enough the code to a door was given to him, he just needed to find what door the code was for.

Turning the sister back to normal he immediately went to find the last one, he was sure another one remained and soon enough he was met with another. Like before the big daddy fell at his feet, it was funny in a way, Delta was made before all these newer models, by definition they should have him outranked and outmatched, yet he proved time and time again that he was stronger than them.

He did the usual with the sister, gathering the ADAM from the corpses around Rapture before finally taking her to the vent. Soon enough he heard the familiar screech of the big sister as he readied the area. Placing down miniturrets and using telekinesis he waited until he saw her come into view. His turrets wasted no time locking on to her and firing bullets as he used his upgraded telekinesis to grab a splicer's corpse before throwing it to the sister. She tossed the corpse aside as he hoped she would as she was met with a drill smack. She leaped up and used the ceiling to boost herself forward with her needle ready to pierce his helmet but it proved to be a mistake.

Stepping to the side quickly he grabbed her arm before slamming her down, placing his shotgun right on her head and pulling the trigger multiple times until she stopped moving. With the big sister gone Delta took the ADAM and readied himself to face the spider splicer that he was sure was a way to get to Simon.

Running up the stairs he caught the leg of the splicer and slammed him to the floor as he shot a harpoon into his gut to prevent him from moving as he quickly ended the suffering by stomping his head. Checking the body he was met with an audio log that gave him a code he was going to need, at least he was sure of it.

Making his way to the direction of Simon Wales he heard as the nearby pneumo recieved items as Grace chimed in "I have the notion I owe you my life. I did you a favor and sent you supplies by the pneumo, don't tell Dr. Lamb." She said as he hummed in reply. Grabbing what he needed he headed to the gatherer's garden to collect his gift from the little sisters alongside using the ADAM to improve his plasmids.

Once he was ready he headed to where Wales was. Drill in hand Delta entered the room as the door behind him shut. "Kill the beast of Ryan, family! Kill it so we may be reborn in the lambs holy blood!" He preached as the splicers rushed him.

Foolish

He shot them dead, he drilled into them, and used his arsenal of plasmids to showcase to them why he was called the beast by Wales. The battle wasnt as long as he was expecting, once he was alone with Wales the battle that was merely made up of hordes of splicers that soon turned to the beating of one old man splicer that was quickly put down. "Pump control outta be at the back, one thing though," chimed in Sinclair "once you hit that switch we'll have a tiny window of opportunity to get you into Dionysus Park, be ready chief." He said as Delta nodded.

Approaching the controls he pressed the button, the lights flashing around him as Lamb spoke once more "Do you think me a tyrant Delta? Vying for control over a dead man's dream?" She asked as Delta couldn't bother to care "The city, is nothing. Delta. Rapture must die, so that Eleanor may rise from its body. Allow me to demonstrate." She said, Delta heard the metal pipes groaning until he saw them burst, water beginning to flood the church as Delta rushed to leave "Get out of there kid! Hurry!" Pressured Sinclair as Delta did his best, the water current pushing him back slightly as it continued to rise "I want you to commit this moment to memory, Delta." Said Lamb as Delta merely ignored her, making his way back until he saw the metallic door bend before the water pressure proved to much.

The sudden influx of water knocked Delta to the ground yet he didn't hesitate to get back up as he walked his way through the water, many corpses floating around him as he made his way back. Soon enough he made his way to the airlock for Dionysus Park, and without a moment to waste he pulled the lever, draining the water out.

Yet his mind stayed stuck to the image of the four people in the bedroom like room he had found himself in.

What was happening to him?

Chapter 6: Dionysus Park

Summary:

Delta makes it closer to Eleanor, and his past is revealed in a sudden tidal wave he wasn't ready for.

Chapter Text

The airlock opened as Delta stepped through, water dripping from the ceiling, and the ground soaked. He could easily tell that time had been anything but kind to the park as he made his way forward. "Dionysus Park was a private retreat for Lamb, a way to hold her private experiments." Sinclair began as the unfamiliar inner voice strained to make a sarcastic remark."Good...for...for her..."

"One day, it flooded, killing all her guests. Papers said it was cult related." He explained as Delta couldn't help but feel no pity and no sympathy for the followers of Lamb. They followed the woman who had taken his daughter away from him, and he was going to make them pay. "Come on, let's rendezvous at the train station." Added Sinclair as Delta hummed.

"Attention, family! Subject Delta has drained and infiltrated Dionysus Park!" Announced Lamb as Delta kept on his path. Soon enough, he saw someone from the corner of his eye, someone running past before seemingly vanishing. However, the person would show themselves with a volley of fire that he had avoided before retaliating with a barrage of bullets, insects, and other plasmids that he had in his system. The hudinoi splicer fell as Delta continued on his path as Sinclair chimed in. "Well, chief, I found a new train. However, we aren't alone. I see a shadow in the security booth." He explained as Delta understood what Sinclair was getting at.

While on route he heard the screeching of a big sister as a familiar voice came from behind a locked door "She's my little girl! Not yours!" He recognized the voice.

Mark Meltzer.

He had heard him from previous audio logs, but he believed that to have been years ago, but he was wrong, Mark was alive, and he was just past the door. Delta wasted no time banging on the door until it opened. Drill at the ready, he rushed in yet failed to find the man. Looking down at the ground, he saw fresh bullet casings on the floor. He didn't bother heading to the train as he ran around the ruined park hoping to find the man that was just like him, a father searching for his daughter.

He continued his search until finally he gave up, he couldn't find Mark and he could only hope that he was alright. Yet he didn't understand why he felt compelled to find the man, to help him. Regardless as to why he continued on his way to the train, an unfamiliar voice chimed in "Hey there boys! Names Stan Pool, Rapture Tribune. Quality paper, until the folks stopped reading and found...other uses for it." He said "I think we can strike up a deal! Meet me up at the train booth." He said as Delta hummed.

Killing the splicers he made his way to the train booth as Lamb chimed in "Dionysus was my home Delta, a test in unity cut short by human folly with every step you take." She said as Delta groaned in annoyance "The water damage...dishonors it more..." Strained the inner voice yet it didn't go past Delta how said voice was beginning to struggle less and less when speaking, it was becoming clearer as his journey continued. "Now. Lamb knows you're here but I'm incognito." He added as Delta finally locked eyes with Stanley face to face.

"Dead men tell no tales, right?" Stanley began to the confusion of Delta "Wrong! See with ADAM every stiff has a story, and Lamb knows how to read it, and with the park drained the little sisters are beginning to poke around. And I can't have that." He said, "Why?" Asked the inner voice, although it knew that Stanley couldn't hear it. "I want you to go and take care of them." "What?" "Your way. After that, I'll unlock the train station, scouts honor." He finished as Delta groaned, a way to call Sinclair for advice "Well, I reckon he's hiding something, but he took the fun out of that. Still, he is locked in the train booth so we'll have to play the game, find those sisters." Said Sinclair as Delta headed on his way.

Sister, sister.

Again those words seemed to cause something in Delta that made him recall people he had no knowledge of, or did he? He stopped to look at his reflection as the word repeated back in his mind. Sister, sister, sister. He focused as his reflection began to ever so slightly change to the figure of a woman with orange hair that faded to black. Her.

He recalled seeing her during the previous moments of mental confusion with words associated with "family" and "sister." Was she his sister? One he had forgotten?

It didn't matter as Delta came across the big daddy in his way. The battle blurred in his mind like the many others. The ADAM harvesting just as blurred as he took her to the vent and saved her. "Father, all the ADAM here hold the memories of all the bodies, normally only a little sister can see them, but I can show you what Stanley is trying to hide." Chimed in Eleanor as Delta let her speak "When mother was taken away Stanley began to spend all her money, letting her followers turn to animals, it was like he was trying to ruin her." She explained as Delta went on his way to the second sister "Delta is just a serial number amigo! They used to call you. Johnny Topside. Found the city all on your own with a diving bell, shame what they did to you." He explained.

Delta froze as he looked down at his hands, the name brought back so many memories that he wasn't ready to face, yet they did, and he recalled the memories from Siren Alley, the voices of women, and the inner voice finally began to make sense.

He fell to his knees as he gazed at the puddle under him, his diving helmet replaced with the view of a blue-eyed blond boy, himself, before Rapture. Before he left his home. The many women in his mind that had been plaguing his mind finally began to make sense. The orange-haired woman WAS his sister. Kanako. The brown-haired woman his mother. Kaede. The black hair girl his childhood friend. Ayumu. And finally the other girl, his ex-girlfriend. Nao.

The memories were too much to handle, what had once been a gradual drop of memories had turned into a tidal wave for which he was not ready for. He lashed out, screaming and growling with his broken voice as he threw anything around him towards any unfortunate splicer in his way "Kid! Kid come on don't go mad on me! Eleanor is so close! Please just hold on a little longer!" Pleaded Sinclair.

Eleanor.

Her name calmed Delta Hiroki down, the horrid sudden influx of memories seemed to mean nothing to Hiroki anymore as his mind went to the girl he called daughter. "Is she mine? It doesn't matter, I need to get her out of this hell." The inner voice said which he now knew was his own. "There we go, stay focused kid, Eleanor is our next stop, I know you can hold on until we make it to her." Reassured Sinclair as Hiroki returned to his journey of saving the sisters.

"Whoa there! Guess you weren't ready to hear about your celebrity name. Hopefully, this extra stuff doesn't make you mad too." Said Stanley as Hiroki locked his gaze on another big daddy. His machine gun in hand "As I said, you were nothing but a deep sea diver with iron cojones pal. But Ryan was sure you were a spook. His people locked you up, goodbye Johnny Topside, hello Subject Delta!" Explained Stanley as Hiroki guarded the second sister while she harvested.

"You mistake my intent, Delta. I seek no ADAM for myself. Eleanor is the dream..." she said "She needs no weapons nor parlor tricks." She said as Hiroki merely sighed "Crazy bitch. I just need to hold on a little longer." He thought as he took the sister on his shoulder, taking her to harvest once more.

Taking the sister to the vent he did as expected of him, freeing her from what had been done to her. Although this time it was different, before he had been saving them by an obligation, it was his role as a big daddy but now he would free them not because of an obligation, but by his own choice, to be a true protector.

As the freed girl entered the vent with his help the voice of Eleanor entered his mind. Now he could truly appreciate how soothing it was to him, biological or not, she was his.

A mental image played in his mind, Stanley with a little girl in front of him "That's me, there." Began Eleanor "I told Stanley I would tell mother about what he had done. He panicked and took me away, sold me to an orphanage. Father, Stanley is the reason I was turned into a little sister..." she explained. Hiroki stood still as a growl escaped from his mouth, to think someone would do this to another person, to a small child no less.

"You alright chief? Just one sister left." Chimed in Sinclair as Hiroki merely growled again before continuing on his path, Stanley having nothing to say. He found the final sister and readied himself for a battle as Lamb chimed in "ADAM is Rapture Delta..." She said "The finest minds of paradise, in a single sublime mosaic. Eleanor. Consider the genius you deny her with every stolen drop." She stated. "Eleanor should live a normal life, on the surface, not be your religious tool." He thought as he picked up the little sister, having killed the big daddy effortlessly.

"When all this is over, an' we're divvyin' up Rapture's bounty, you an' I will be holdin' court on a private island, son. Think of it, each world power on bended knee, holding a bouquet made o' money!" Said Sinclair as Hiroki laughed in his helmet.

"The dream." He said before the voice of Lamb invaded "Through ADAM, Eleanor will become the daughter of the people, a true utopian. Brilliant beyond measure, but utterly selfless." "She already is." "As she ascends, Delta, you and I will seem like dogs circling and snarling amidst the afterbirth." She finished as Hirok freed the final sister.

As expected the screech of a big sister filled the air as Hiroki growled "Come on then, you're not getting in my way." He thought as he ran towards the direction of the big sister.

The battle seemed to take less time than before, then again he was getting stronger.

Going to the gatherer's garden for his gift he heard as Stanley chimed in "That's it! Now all that old dirt stays buried and Lamb is none the wiser. But remember, if Lamb catches you, mom's the word." He said as Hiroki growled, he made his way through the splicers, mowing them down effortlessly before Lamb spoke from the intercoms, odd, but the reasoning soon showed itself.

"Delta, I have known for years of Stanley's betrayal here, and had forgiven him. But in compromising Eleanor he seals his fate, you see, it was Stanley who turned you into Ryan. He's responsible for what you have become." Said Lamb as Hiroki stopped walking, splicer in hand as he began to angrily march his way towards the train booth "I unlocked the train booth, you may have your revenge." She said, he could sense the smugness in her voice as Hiroki threw the splicer corpse against the booths window as Stanley watched in horror as Hiroki approached "oh god! The train's ready! Please! Just let me live!" Pleaded Stanley as Hiroki toward over him.

Hiroki revved his drill up, raising it as he glared down at the man cowering before him. He should kill him for what he did to him, to Eleanor, to everyone. But as he looked down at Stanley he felt a sense of familiarity. Hiroki used to be just like Stanley, small, weak, and cowardly. Putting his drill down he glared at Stanley for one final time before heading inside the train, Stanley would face karma.

Eleanor was so close, he could feel it.
