Chapter 1: Scared of Needles?
Chapter Text
“Hold. Still.”
Sebastian growled. His smooth hand firmly grasping your wrist, holding your arm out infront of you. This might be the closest you’ve ever been to Sebastian-his body literally just inches away from you. Hunched over to be more at your level.
You needed to inject yourself with the medicine, but you just…couldn’t fucking do it. You couldn’t voluntarily piece your skin-plus the fear of injecting it into the wrong area was horrifying. Even a centimeter off could mean dying of a horrible heart attack.
So now Sebastian was doing it for you! The way he held your arm reminded you of getting flu shots at school or at the doctor as a child.
Unfortunately the sleeves of your tight Urbanshade jumpsuit couldn’t roll up far enough to give ample room to stick the needle in. But doing it through the thin fabric of the suit was probably fine.
Sebastian had told you in passing of his medical expertise, mainly just the basic survival stuff that comes with surviving in a place like this.
The area was well lit, Sebastian’s esca glowing and even with your face, like a little lamp.
You couldn’t help your right arm tensing up on instinct as you watched the hand with the needle near your upper arm.
“Relax.”
He said impatiently, but more gently than before. You took a deep breath in, your eyelids closing as you let your shoulders and arms relax.
“Three, Two-“
You felt the sudden distinct pain that came with shots, the sharp and deep needle and the oddness of the pressure. He finished injecting the fluid into your arm in no time, removing the needle.
“You didn’t say one.” You grumbled, looking at your arm. Sebastian’s hand came up and he wiped his thumb on the area that was punctured, pressing down with pressure for a moment before letting go. No bandaid needed.
“There. Happy?”
He said, sounding satisfied with himself. You felt your muscles relax a little as the medicine began to take affect, alleviating your aches and pains and making you feel more relaxed and energetic. You sigh in relief, finally, a break from the pain.
“Thanks.” You say, sounding tired. But you don’t feel tired.
“Medicine will last probably a few hours. You’re welcome..”
He remarked, leaning back up to his normal height and inspecting the empty needle before tossing it over his shoulder, as it was now useless to him.
You, in utter relief from the pain, laid down on the floor with your hands on your stomach. Staring at the ceiling. Finally. Something good.

Chapter Text
“What the fuck are you doing?”
Sebastian growled, hands at his sides at an awkward angle, taken aback by this predicament.
You were splayed out lazily on his long tail, the most comfortable surface in the entire shop. Despite being covered in belts to hold items, it wasn’t that uncomfortable. Your arms at your sides as you lay, his scales were not soft, but it was much much better than concrete.
“Resting…”
You remarked, words quiet as you continued to lay and not move at all.
“Well, can you rest somewhere else?”
He hissed, sounding like he might throw you off if you didn’t move in the next five seconds.
You let out a long groan, whining in protest.
“Nooooo….the floors too cold n’ hardddd….”
You mumbled, fingers curling around one of the belts on his tail for something to hold onto.
“Oh, is it? Poor you…”
He said, his reply absolutely dripping with sarcasm and malice. You could feel him glaring at you….but you were too eepy.
“Mmmmm…”
You grumbled, irritated as you moved your face so there was less light near your eyes.
“If you don’t get off me in the next five seconds-“
“Pleeaaaseeee s’bastiannn…”
You slurred, looking up through dreary and absolutely sleep deprived eyes.
“M cold and,,..I don’tttt likeee the floorrrrr….”
You whined, both hands holding onto the belts secured to his tail.
“I won’ tellll anyyyone….prrroomise.”
Your words were slurred with fatigue, almost incapable of keeping your eyes open at this point. Plus you were cold, and still kinda uncomfortable.
Sebastian’s ear fin flicked in annoyance, glaring down at you. But he didn’t say anything. He was a little annoyed, considering this would prove an inconvenience for moving. But…it’s not like he did much moving anyway.
And definitely not because maybe some small part of him understood what it was like to miss home, to miss your life, your family, your bed. Curling up under a warm blanket, safe and calm and taken care of. Something he, and you, would never get to experience again.
He let out a sigh, shuffling his body awkwardly as he re-adjusted his position. You groaned at the moving, eyebrows furrowing as you held on tighter.
Sebastian’s back was now against the wall, but much more relaxed than before. He could probably fall asleep like this.
His hand came down, one claw gently tapping your shoulder. You blinked open your eyes, oh so very tired.
“Up.”
You whined, frowning as you slowly got up and off his tail. Sebastian finished readjusting, resting in a more comfortable position.
You once again returned to him, this time laying on his upper tail, right by his waist. Your arms once again latching onto the belt as you rested your head and closed your eyes.
Sebastian stared down at you, quietly. Unsure of how to feel. But he liked the feeling of your weight, and your warmth. It was kinda like having a sleeping cat on your lap, in a way.
His hand slowly and carefully came down to run his claw through a strand of your hair. Testing how light of a sleeper you were.
Once he realized you were fully asleep, he felt…relaxed. And a little tired himself. His third hand gently rested on your back as he leaned his head back against the wall, letting his eyes close. Out of all the uncomfortable nights here, this was one of the more bearable ones.
