Okay so I actually love Homestuck so much it's insane. So here's just me talking about Homestuck with no real goal.
I love Homestuck, I seriously doubt I'd be the same without it. And not just because both of my preferred names are from Homestuck. The series has genuinely changed my life for the better and has saved me from multiple suicide attempts, as dumb as that sounds.
I also love that I've sorta gotten my friends into it too, like not as extremely as me, but they know all the facts I tell them wich is really fun. I get so happy whenever someone willingly lets me talk about Homestuck.
Okay hot take, the Epilogues weren't as bad as everyone said, and I make jokes about it being bad, but I liked them. Specifically the Meat one though because it had Davekat in it and I love Davekat very much.
They did ruin Jane in them though, I will admit that. But like, this has Dirk Strider X Obama implied in it, how do you fully hate it?? Also Tavros is such a cute kid.
Also I got my best friend into Homestuck and I'm like so fucking joyous about it. They knew a lot about it from me but now I may try to get them to read it with me!! Like I actually start freaking out whenever Homestuck gets mentioned.
Also apparently the really cool enby who does my vitals at my psychiatry office knows Homestuck and I got to talk about it with them!! They also complimented my Mettaton necklace once and called him a twink LMFAO
So my birthday is on August 12th and so far the list of gifts I want which I give to my parents includes: Sollux plushie, Homestuck books, Homestuck shirt, and Homestuck stickers. Anyone notice a pattern here?
Also I'm making Homestuck cupcakes and cosplaying Eridan to my birthday party at Dave & Busters!! I need to get my friends to cosplay Homestuck with me again. I know one of them probably would, but one of them who cosplayed Nepeta, I am no longer friends with (He supports Wilbur Soot,) and my other friend, who's really cool, doesn't like me talking about Homestuck so much and I don't want to annoy her.
Also if anyone here falls into the age range of like 12-14 and you're a Homestuck, please comment and I can totally be your friend on Discord (I'm very socially awkward so you may have to initiate conversation.)
My mom's working on my Eridan cosplay for Halloween right now. She has the horns partially done and she ordered purple bed sheets to sew the cape! She made my Karkat horns last year so I know these will turn out good.
I have the shirt made myself, along with the pants, but I'm still trying to make gills, a wand, and maybe some purple hair dye. My skin doesn't do well with face paint so I can't be gray sadly. Who knows, I might sharpie bath it.
Okay update since I wrote all of that last week, I stole some purple dye from Hobby Lobby (I have a stealing problem please help) and I'm going to try it on my hair to see if it'll work or if I'll die from it.
My mom has ordered the Sollux plush so he is secured! Speaking of plushies, I learned to sew so for my first real project, I'm making a scalemate! I'm so happy with it so far!!
I've also been teaching my mom about Homestuck very slowly, also her best friend likes Homestuck so I might steal my mom's friend.
