Guilty Curiosity

Summary:

You just moved to Eltingville 2 months ago, in August, from your hometown. You hate it here. Sure, your old town didn't have much to do either, but at least it wasn't AS boring as this buttfuck nowhere town in New Jersey. The high school wasn't any better. You were complaining to a friend (the one friend you did have) a little too loud that you were bored out of your goddamn mind and wished you had maybe 4 more friends. Of course, your guidance counselor just HAD to put you in a stupid fucking club. You tried to talk her out of it, but she just wouldn't budge. You mentioned you like comic books and DND, like an idiot, so now, here you are. In this stupid club, with these stupid geeks. One of them isn't THAT stupid, though.. he's kinda cool. Maybe hot. Ew, no, what? You're not a fag. Whatever.. anything to get away from your druggie mom.

Notes:

Chapter 1: Satan.. AKA the Guidance Counselor.

Chapter Text

Fuck. This.

You were in the hallway, yapping to the one friend you had (even though he was kind of an asshole, he's all you got), as per usual.

"Man, fuck this place. It's total bullshit. You either have to get a train ran on you or let yourself be walked all over to even have a chance of having more than one fucking friend." You grumbled. "Right.. fuck, the GEEKS have more friends than us." Joked your friend. You scoffed out a chuckle, shaking your head. "Total bullshit.." You both took a pause, walking through the empty halls, looking into classes full of 7th graders. Dweebs. "How long do you think we have until we get caught skipping?" asked your friend. "Dude!" You barked slightly, punching his arm (lightly, but hard enough to vaguely hurt). "Ow!" He whined, rubbing his shoulder. "Don't jinx it, asshole!"

But, of course, it was already too late. "Boys, get back to class!" barked the bitchy counselor. It was a miracle she HAD a job as a counselor.. you were pretty sure kids killed themselves BECAUSE of her. You both groaned, shuffling back to class. "Not you, mister." She said, putting a finger on your chest. "You're coming with me."

"Man, what'd I do now?" you said, with a slightly whiny tone. "Nothing. I just wanna talk to you. Check in." She said, with a condescending smile.

"Check in my ass.." you thought.

When you finally got to her stuffy office, she sat on her office chair, hands on her lap, legs crossed.

"So.. how's it going?" She mumbled softly.. the walls were about as thin as your already strained patience.

"Fine." You mumble.

"I heard you saying you don't have many friends in the hallway, you know."

FUCK.

Now she was gonna mentally hold you at gunpoint and ask fucking questions about your feelings! Ew! GROSS!

"..You heard that?" You mumble carefully. She nods, doing that condescending ass "mhmmm" all guidance counselors do. "Can you tell me why that is?"

A lot of reasons. One, you were blunt most of the time. Not one to beat around the bush. Two, you were weird.. kinda like the gaggle of geeks in your class. Not that weird though.. hopefully. And three, they were all boring and fake. Like The Thing. They acclimated to the normies. But really, they just wanna bully the shit out of you with the excuse of "bro, i didn't know you were so sensitive, it was just a joke". Joke his ass..

"I dunno, they think I'm weird or something." You mutter sheepishly.

"You know what? I think I know a club you'll fit right into."

NO! No no no no! His precious free time after school! God why?!

"Uhh.. I don't really like clubs-"

"You mentioned you liked DC and all that type of stuff, right?" She interrupted. There was no hope of getting out of this. Fuck..

"Uh, yeah."

"Well, the Eltingville Club would love to have you, I"m sure!"

THE GEEKS?!

Oh dear, angry God, why?! Your social life will probably be more dead than it already fucking is if you join the Geeks!

"Uh, I don't think they like me." You lied, hoping that'd work. "Nonsense! I'm sure they'd love you!"

So, tomorrow.. you have to go to their club meeting.

When you walked out of her office, all you could think was:

"Why me?"
