The dinner table was set and the Todoroki family and plus one seated. Ten seconds had passed in dead silence, everyone just looking at each other, rolling noodles between their chopsticks. Shouto picked up his soba and started slurping it.
Keigo was the first to talk. "I have no idea how these things work. Do I just say "I'm dating your son" and get the family rant and shovel talk, orrr...?"
Natsuo rolled his eyes and groaned, "Please don't."
"I... don't think there is a set way?" Fuyumi glanced between Enji and Rei.
"It differs family to family," Rei answered.
Enji glanced at Keigo. "Did you not go through something similar before?"
Keigo shrugged. "Look, movies make it all dramatic. My only experience is that and with my kindred spirit who was racing through UA with a gun three days ago. Not exactly what I'd call "normal"."
Touya snorted. "Nothing with him and the others is normal."
Natsuo leaned forward, grinning mischievously. "I really wanna meet this family."
"Sometime later, sure."
”Also,” Natsuo crossed his arms. “Normal went out the window when you suddenly showed up not dead. And with a hero boyfriend.”
”Congratulations,” Shouto murmured between slurps.
Touya stated at him, deadpan. “Thanks.”
Enji sighed as he finally started eating. “I doubt we ever had a normal.”
Rei nodded. “That’s true.”
"Then..." Fuyumi paused, glancing between Touya and Keigo. "Would you like to see some baby pictures?"
"DON'T YOU DARE!" / "ABSOLUTELY YES!!"
Touya glared at Keigo who just innocently smiled back.
Rei lightly giggled, demurely hiding her mouth. "I'll go get the album after we eat."
Keigo's eyes were sparkling. "You two are my new favourite Todorokis!"
Touya sputtered. "Wha- than what am I? Chopped liver?"
Shouto just kept slurping.
