Chapter Text
Rumi fainted. She had died and gone to heaven, except considering Jinu was some type of demonic creature, she had probably ended up in hell. Actually, heaven was wherever Jinu was.
She stared at his fish-like face full of loving confusion.
" Rumi.... what....?"
" Jinu????? JINU????????!?!?"
Rumi launched herself into his arms as they both started sobbing from pure joy.
" I thought i had lost you forever" Rumi whispered.
" I was in the sword Rumi... when you started singing you gave me the courage to escape"
They looked into each other's tearstreaked faces and just stared. They stared until they felt like they had never left. like they had always been together.
Abruptly Jinu looked down.
" Rumi... did you really mean what you said? When you said you would do anything for me to come back?"
Rumi stilled. Memories of sleepless nights flooded her. Nights where she would whisper her deepest desires to the moon outside her window. Nights where she would draw Jinu's face over and over again and compose sad poems in his honor. He was a drunk driver and she was a car, destined to never know what being with each other felt like, lest some disaster occur. because that's what had happened. She blamed herself for killing Jinu.
" Im sorry Jinu. I killed you. If you are actually here, and not some ghost that's here to haunt me for my mistakes, I want you to know I love you, and i'd do ANYTHING to have you here and ok."
"anything?"
"anything."
"Rumi... i ate the honmoon."
