Chapter Text
The sinister laugh is not something Pure vanilla hears often nowadays. when Shadow milk comes it's usually to fight pure vanilla or to yell at him. But today? Today is different. The Jester is smiling ear to ear. His omnimus happiness filling the room to its brim, you can almost see the horrid plan he came up with in his eyes.
Even worse, he wasn't attacking or taunting the King right away, one could think this is a good thing. Yet the Ancient knows from the experience he had with the Beast that this was no good sign.
Shadow milk floats closer to pure vanilla, ending up floating right above Pure vanila's chair. Hands behind his back, yet nothing being hidden behind. The Jester wiggles his legs in the air in excitement, like he's about to burst out, oh you can just see he waits for the blond cookie to ask him.
Pure vanilla closes his eyes trying to compose himself, he grabs his staff to see shadowmilk better. The Beast's blue eyes glimmer with eerie fire, a joyful grin, and a mouth poisoned with lies.—"What is it now, shadow?" The Truthful cookie utters, his staff's eye rolling ever so slightly.
Even more excitement spikes within the Jester, which The King didn't know was possible. —"Oh? What now? Why the suspicion I could ever have something planned?" He builds the tension of whatever he's about to reveal with an act of lies.
The ancient gets up from his chair, the deceitful jester floats down to still be facing his other half. —"You know "What now". You never come here with an ecstatic mood. Unless you did something, so just tell me cause I can see that you're about to explode, what are you going to taunt me with today?" Pure vanilla says straight up, not wanting to drag this any longer.
Shadow milk grumbles a bit at that statement. —"You're no fun when you just expect my torment, you're way too nice to me sometimes uhhh that's so saaad!" He exclaims dramatically, putting his hand over his souljam.
Pure vanilla sighs. —"Shadow, you know I still believe we can be friends, that's why I'm nice to you, clearly you haven't come to understand that yet, but believe me if you let me in to your h-" The King gets interrupted, and poked in the head with a blue staff. —"Shut up! I'm not here for you to give me a lecture from the depths of your heart poisoned with truth to its brim!" The jester folds his arms over his chest.
The blond rubs his head where he was poked and sighs, exhausted with this conversation. —"Then care to share why am I honored with your presence?" His voice laced with slight sarcasm. His hand reaching out to the Beast, The cookie palm opening to the jester trying to invite him for a calm talk.
Shadow milk's sharp gaze notices it immediately, his face fills with disgust at this gesture, he huffs his face scrunched up. The jester is almost disappointed in himself for letting such a small gesture get to him that much.
—"Do you think your little angel would ever utter a lie~?"
Vanilla freezes at that question, why would he even bring up his son? No of course his son would not "utter a lie". The king knows how he raised the prince, to view a lie as the worst act a cookie could commit. Sounds like a bit paranoid way to raise a child, maybe it is, but after pure vanila's first encounter with Shadow milk cookie. He pressured the little one for his mouth to be laced with honesty.
The Truthful cookie inhales and exhales with a shaky breath. —"No, my son w-would never speak a lie." He looks up at shadow milk, who is back to a smirk.
Shadow milk satisfied with the clear distress he caused for his other half, spins his staff in on hand while floating higher. —"Hmm~ how about a bet~" he floats closer to the king, their noses almost touching.
—"Shadow, I don't bet, especially not about my son's truth telling." He speaks, an eerie feeling setting in his stomach.
A million thoughts rush through the King's mind
"Why that topic all of a sudden?!"
"He never before brought up my son in any of his taunts."
"Is he trying to get his son to lie?!"
Pure vanilla shuts his eyes. A frown could be seen on his face. —"What did you do!?" His shout surprises the jester, it was an unexpected move, even the king didn't expect to shout.—"If you think he'll turn to deceit you're wrong, he's loyal to the truth! He would-.. he would never..." He takes a deep breath in, his hands tremble a bit.
The Jester takes pleasure in the emotions his simple yet effective taunt caused, he laughs menacingly. Pure vanilla feels helpless, he hasn't felt like that ever since the truthless recluse. He cares about his son very much, he took so much sacrifices, took so much time to raise him in truth. His son is his whole world. He doesn't know what he would do if he found out that shadow milk got his light in the world... to lie.
The Beast pokes the ancients nose and smiles, seemingly so softly.—"Aw I didn't know this would work that well, oh you're making a big deal out of nothing if I'm being "honest". Well you suuuuure reassured me in my plan now!" A giggle escapes his lying lips. —"oh you can be assured that when it happens, I will deliver you the news and proof of your son's deceitful words!"
Shadow milk swings his staff to open a portal, he's about to escape further conversation with the Truthful cookie. The blond's hand reaches to his opposite trying so desperately to grab him and stop him from leaving, stop him from potentially harming his angel. To the misfortune of the soft eyed cookie, the Jester swithly doges that with a giggle. Pure vanilla clutches air in his fist, just as the Beast is about to dissapere away in the portal.—"Don't you dare, turn him to deceit, don't you dare even think of harming him!" The ancient yells out.
Shadow milk steps one leg into the portal.—"Oh don't you shiver your timbers. I won't touch him" he exclaims while putting an emphasis on "I".
Pure vanila's eyes widen at that.—"What do you mean by that-" He didn't get the chance to finish his sentence. When the blue doughed cookie disappeared away and the portal closed.
Pure vanilla exhales a breath he didn't realize he was holding.
He sits back down at his desk, there goes his plans for a relaxing working time. Now his mind is occupied by the horrendous scenarios of potential harm happening to his son.
"Oh come back from the academy fast please"
