Chapter Text
"Wednesday, please." Enid begs her, tailing her over to the other side of the room. "Just this one time!" Her followers were begging her at this point to meet her roommate. Ever since Yoko told her that it would be cool to have a few more supernatural streamers (but Enid mostly had started it so that she could earn money, and get famous at the same time, and it worked for her extremely quickly).
"Fine. But I'm only doing this because we're friends." Wednesday hesitates before saying 'friends'. Sometimes Enid felt like they were more than just friends, but not exactly together, no matter how much she wanted them to be. Maybe one day...
"Thank you." Enid says, her smile growing wider. "I'll get the nail polish." Once the camera was set up, and they were sat on the black-and-white bed with the black nail polish, Enid started the stream. "Hi, guys. This is my roommate, Wednesday. She's letting me do her nails while she answers some of your questions." She put her roommate's hand in her lap, watching the viewers roll in. They were already at 9,000, and it was still going up. 10,000, and then 14,000.
omg roommate reveal???
i love her name bro
WHERE HAVE U BEEN HIDING HER ENID
she's kinda cute icl
nah i agree i'd date her
"Do any of you actually have any questions?" Wednesday rolls her eyes at the stupid comments that roll in, talking about her being 'cute' and the rest of their nonsense. This was why she didn't enjoy the Internet.
yea, when did you two become roommates?
are u guys tg
how do you manage enid wolfing out
you 2 should date
"We became roommates around a year ago." She says, her eyes trailing through the questions rolling in. She goes red when she gives the next answer: "We aren't together and we are not going to date. Also, we have lupin cages where all the lycans can wolf out so that they don't risk contact with anyone who might be in danger around them, like the people of Jericho, or hikers."
"People assumed that we're together?" Enid laughs, mostly just wishing they were a couple.
i mean, her hand is literally in ur lap.
wtf enid you look so close how are you not together?
"Her hand is in my lap because I'm doing her nails, calm down." She blushes heavily and holds her hand slightly tighter. "And stop asking about us being together, I will end the stream."
"You'll still do my nails, right?" Her roommate pouts slightly, disappointed that she might not carry on after the ending of the stream.
"Of course, Weds." Enid tries out the new nickname, pleased with how it sounds, but also a little bit scared she'd said it on stream. People would clip it.
OH MY GOSH "WEDS"?!?!?!?
bro their so cute im dying
they act like me and my closeted gf in public
"Weds?" Her roommate asked, ever so slightly flustered.
"Oh, uh, your nails are done!" She smiles nervously, averting her gaze from both Wednesday and the camera. Maybe this was a mistake. She knew how feral people could get for people they didn't know in real life. "On Twitter I should post my next streaming date, but this one was pretty spontaneous. Bye, and see you all soon." She gets up, and ends her stream, exhaling in relief that she didn't have to read any more 'you guys are cute tg' comments.
"That was... something." Wednesday says, her eyes searching for any reaction from her roommate. Enid became extremely interested in a small spot of fabric on the other girl's shoulder which was fraying from Wednesday's black-and-grey, specially made uniform. It seemed really comfortable, even more than Enid's. One day, she'd have to try it on.
"Yeah, it was." Enid tells her, looking down at the floor. "You don't have to do any more streams if you don't want to."
"I don't know, I'll think about it." This response drew a large grin from the short-haired girl: it wasn't a no. "I need to go to see Eugene's bees. He asked me to collect the honey today." Enid thought she might have been embarrassed of her fans. At least her roommate didn't have Twitter, at least to her knowledge. She would hate to see the kind of posts people put up on there. She was scared to check what posts had begun circling about, but she waited until Wednesday left so she could pull her phone out.

next stream is in like an hour or smth so i can clear all ts up
Enid sighs and puts her phone down, flopping out on her bed, her hands behind her head. Jeez, why can't people just leave my private business alone? She looks over at Wednesday's side of the room, and see that she took her rain jacket, but left her blazer. She did want to try it on earlier, and this could be her chance. She still had her uniform on, so she could easily put it on if she just took her own blue striped blazer off. Maybe she would have a nap first.
Eventually, she woke up. She didn't know what time it was, however, Wednesday still wasn't back. She walked over to the other girl's bed. Once she took off her own, she realised she was missing out. The special-made uniforms were the way to go. It was soft, and kind of smelled like Wednesday. It swallowed her up like a warm hug. She pulled out her phone, scrolling through her Twitter feed.
"Oh, shit." She sees a message come through from Ajax: weren't u gonna stream like 25 minutes ago to clear this up or whatever?
She instantly hops onto her own bed, setting her camera and laptop up. "Sorry I was so late, guys." Instantly, she sees the viewers tick up. They must've seen the post she put up earlier, seeing as she was trending because of Wednesday's guest appearance on her stream earlier.
were u napping like a lil puppy earlier :D
dw enid!
is this the clearing things up stream you were talking abt
"Yeah, I just wanted to let you all know that nothing is going on between me and Wednesday. We've been friends for a year, ever since we were roommates. And I don't wanna hear about this nickname thing. It came out by accident, okay? Friends call each other nicknames anyways." The werewolf crosses her arms and leans in a little bit to read more people's questions and comments.
hey wait isnt that wednesday's blazer
OMG WHY ARE YOU WEARING WEDNESDAYS CLOTHES
'nothing going on' - proceeds to wear her clothes
I'm so clipping this
dw i'm recording the ENTIRE thing and have been since the start. I even recorded the other one with Wednesday, I'll post em soon
"Oh, shut up. I-I was just trying it on. Anyways, I need to go." Enid quickly ends the stream, terrified that people are going to clip her, and post it. If she takes Wednesday's blazer off, she probably wouldn't see anyways. She goes over to the black-and-white bed, taking off her roommate's and placing it how it had been before, then instantly putting her own back on.
"Enid." Wednesday was so silent, she hadn't even noticed that she was watching the whole time. "I saw you had my blazer on." She unzips her black jacket, putting it away, and then slipping into what Enid just had on.
"Yeah..." She mumbles, her cheeks heating up way past room temperature. "I was trying it on."
"I don't mind." Wednesday looks down. "You can wear my clothes." Enid smiles gently, the redness slowly leaving, instead being replaced by a fluttery feeling in her stomach. Maybe she had a slim chance after all.
Chapter 2
Summary:
Enid steals Wednesday's hoodie, and has a nightmare about last year's fight with the Hyde. Wednesday comforts her.
Chapter Text
Enid takes out her phone, dreading her fanbase's reaction to the "clearing things up" stream. Honestly, what an idiot. How could she forget that she was wearing Wednesday's blazer? She sees a spike in followers on her Twitter: twenty thousand had increased to twenty five thousand. I guess people love drama. She thinks, tapping onto her feed.

Enid smiles, hoping that people's lives will take the heat off them for a while. At least Wednesday couldn't see everything going on, because she was not going to like people changing their usernames to "wenclair_shipper". She glances outside, and sees that it's gone dark. Her pyjama tops are all drying, and she can't sleep in her regular clothes. The werewolf's eyes shift over to her roommate's side of the dorm. She heads into the walk-in closet, hoping to borrow something she could sleep in—and she finds something. Wednesday's massive black hoodie. 'Massive' was an understatement, and so was 'baggy'. It swallowed Enid up, and went all the way down past her shorts, to just above her knees. That meant that on her roomie, it went past her knees. It made her look adorable, but Enid knew she hadn't worn it in a while, so she decided that was what she'd fall asleep in. A smile develops on the lycan's face as she lies down, not finding it too strange that the psychic wasn't back yet. Sometimes she stayed out late, doing who knows what. The only problem: she instantly fell asleep, and had a nightmare. Sometimes it happened, but this time it was different.
The Hyde had Wednesday pinned down to a tree stump, and he raised his claws, about to strike her roommate. Enid raced towards her, using her werewolf speed to the best of her ability. But in her dream, she wasn't fast enough, and she saw her roommate being ripped up. It was so real, and it felt like it had really happened. She batted Tyler away, and held Wednesday's limp body, covering her grey fur on her arms in the other girl's blood.
"WEDNESDAY!" She yells, sitting up abruptly. The room had gone all dark, and she couldn't see the other side very well. Was Wednesday alive? But then, she saw a figure sitting up, looking over at her with concern. Tears fill her eyes, and start pouring out. Last year, she almost didn't save her. What if she had died because of Enid? It would've been her fault completely. Her roommate comes over to her bedside, gazing at her with distress.
"Enid, what happened?" She sits down on the bed, tucking herself into the covers, putting her arm around Enid's shoulders. "Did you have another nightmare about last year?"
"You died and I didn't save you... It was all my fault, Weds." She looks down at her blanket, realising she still has the hoodie on.
"But I'm not dead, okay? I'm right here." The psychic says, cupping the lycan's face. "I'm here with you, and... and you're wearing my hoodie." Wednesday finally realises, her hands still around her roomie's face, brushing away a stray tear with her thumb.
"None of my pyjamas are dry, so..." She smiles, happy that it's dark so that the redness on her cheeks can't be seen. "Hey, you don't have to, but just today, can you stay here?"
"Do you mean that I'd sleep here?" Her hands leave Enid's face, and her eyes trail away. She seemed sheepish towards the suggestion.
"You don't need to, Weds." Enid fidgets with her long sleeves.
"No, it's fine. I'll sleep here." She lies down and looks up at the werewolf. "Come on, I'm tired." The short-haired girl lies down next to her, her body pressed against Wednesday's. She faced inwards, while Wednesday faced outwards. She decided to try something—her hands found themselves after she wrapped her arms around her waist. She had thought the other girl was already asleep, but she realised after a few moments what she had just done had actually helped her sleep. She snored lightly, almost like a cat's purr. It was cute, and it was like white noise to Enid, helping her fall asleep.
In the morning, she realised that they had stayed like that the entire night, and that Wednesday had allowed it to happen. "Weds." She whispered into the psychic's ear, her lips slightly brushing against her pale skin.
"Yes?" She mumbles, turning her head. Her eyes blink a few times, opening slowly. Her body shifts, fully turning around. "Good morning." The two girls are practically nose-to-nose, Wednesday's breath on Enid's face.
"Good morning." Enid says back, feeling completely tongue-tied at the proximity they had with each other.
"You look cute with a bedhead." She tells her werewolf roommate, moving away from her face and nuzzling into her neck instead. Enid's arms are still around Wednesday, holding her tight against her. "What time is it?" Wednesday's breath feels warm against Enid's neck as she asks.
"Eight, but it's Sunday, so it's fine." Enid tells her. "I want to stay like this for a while, it's nice."
"I know." Her roommate's arms wrap around her as well. Enid kisses the top of her head, just as she goes back to sleep. She goes back to sleep, and they do in fact stay like that for a while. Maybe Wednesday being on the stream was a good thing.

Chapter 3
Summary:
Yoko comes to check on Enid because she didn't come down to eat breakfast, and also brings her some toast. She finds the two roommates entangled with each other. Just to appease the fans, she posts a picture of them together, and then leaves the toast before getting out of there.
Chapter Text
The door of the dorm slowly opens, unconcealed Yoko standing in the doorway. The blankets of Enid's bed are slightly lowered, revealing Wednesday entangled with Enid, their arms wrapped around each other, and the pale girl cuddled into Enid's neck. She also sees that what the werewolf was wearing was clearly not hers—a massive black hoodie? Obviously it was the other girl's.
"We're not together." The vampire says under her breath. She slowly inches closer to the end of the bed, careful not to make any noise or step on any of the creaky floorboards. She quickly puts the toast that she brought for Enid down, then she pulls her phone out. She unlocks it, then taps on the camera app, making sure the flash isn't on. After taking a picture, she smiles to herself, and leaves as fast as she can (which is actually pretty slow, since she has to make sure that she doesn't interrupt their sleep).
"Enid." Wednesday whispers, her face hovering over the lycan's. She's propped up on one arm, rubbing her eyes with the other. "It's 11am."
"Shit, we missed breakfast." The short-haired girl blinks the tired out of her eyes and realises how long she's been sleeping here with Wednesday. "Wait, there's toast there. Someone was in here."
"Do you think they saw us?" The psychic asks, but of course they probably did. Wednesday groans, flopping her face into Enid's pillow.
"Weds, it's okay, they probably won't tell anyone." Enid pulls her phone out and checks her messages from Yoko.
yokoooo @myteetharered
hey enid i brought you some toast cus you didn't come down to eat breakfast :)
whereiswolf:P @pawsnclaws
thank you <3
The worst part about Yoko's message was that the second she clicked on her feed, she saw a picture of them circulating around: it was them intertwined in the bed, and it clearly showed Wednesday's hoodie swallowing up Enid.
"Wednesday, I think Yoko took this picture of us." She shows her roommate the picture and scans her eyes for an answer, hoping that she won't have to find it herself.
"It's fine, we can say it's edited, or we can... we can tell the truth and tell people about your nightmare." She sits up and rests her head on Enid's shoulder. "But we don't need to."
"I could stream and say it was fake, like, right now. But maybe I should change first." The werewolf smiles nervously, her canines slightly sticking out. Wednesday thought that was cute.
"Okay. I won't come into it. Set it up on your bed, I'll go to my side." Enid stands up while she's talking, and nods at her before going into her own closet to change. She puts on a t-shirt and shorts, folding Wednesday's hoodie up carefully. She pulls out her phone for a second to look at Twitter, and her messages.

She leaves the closet after posting a quick Tweet (just to let people know that she's about to stream). She hands her roomie the hoodie, and then setting up her laptop and camera. The psychic gives a thumbs up from the other side of the room, looking up from her book. Enid starts the stream, putting it on her 'stream is starting soon' screen to give people time to join. Once the viewer count hits 10,000, she starts it properly, turning off the music, and flipping the screen onto her.
"Hi, guys. This will be short, and it's about that picture that was posted a few hours ago." She sighs, fidgeting with her thumbs. "It was fake, or edited, or something. I don't know how people got that picture, or made it. I promise you we aren't dating and the picture's fake."

"Okay, I'm here to clean up the rumours." She tells Enid.

Wednesday's eyes trail lazily over the chat messages, a small smirk growing on her face. She leans closer to Enid, and kisses her cheek. The lycan goes so red that she can feel the tingling on her cheeks. The shorter girl stays next to the werewolf.
I CLIPPED THAT
finally.
YES WEDNESDAY
enid how are we feeling!?!?
bro that's actually CRAZY
"Yeah, that w-was all I wanted to say." She quickly ends the stream and looks at Wednesday, who was still smugly smiling next to her. She doesn't realise the only thing she's done was put the pre-stream screen up. The viewers could still hear everything. "What the hell was that?"
"It was what I've wanted to do for a while." Her head finds its way onto the other girl's shoulder.
"But now everyone will think we're dating." She sighs, too scared to ask if they could actually date.
"Oh, what a tragedy." The sarcasm flies right over Enid's head: she's so wrapped up in what other people will think that she can't consider anything else.
"Friends kiss each other's cheeks, right?" She mumbles, more to herself than to Wednesday.
"Friends—sure." Her roommate slightly chuckles at their relationship status as if she wants them to be more, but Enid still doesn't take notice of that. She takes out her phone, clicking on Twitter. People have already uploaded screenshots of her 'friend' kissing her cheek. She even sees fanart of them while she scrolls through her feed, which only makes her feel worse about the whole thing. She decides to get the perspective of an actual fan.
whereiswolf:P @pawsnclaws
hey i need some advice
ur a fan, how do you feel about this 'wenclair' thing?
Her werewolf senses are heightened, so when she sends the last message, she hears a faint buzz coming out of Wednesday's small bedside table. A regular person could never hear that.
"Wednesday?" She says nervously, putting her phone away. "You're black cat?"
"Yes." She admits, her eyes trailing over Enid's colourful bedsheets, looking anywhere except at her roommate.
"Weds, look at me, please." She begs her, her stomach feeling fluttery. But less with fear, and more with hope. "You like... You like me, don't you?"
"Do you like me back?" She asks, finally looking up to study her roomie's face, with anticipation.
"Of course I do." Enid smiles, her canines sticking out a bit. Wednesday loves her little teeth sticking out like that. The lycan leans in, and as soon as she kisses her, a warm feeling envelopes her, heating up the butterflies. She pulls away, and glances at her laptop, realising it was still on. Then she sees her stream: their conversation was playing over the pre-stream picture. "Shit, shit, shit." She scrambles to end the stream, seeing the chat fly by.
GAY
YES
YURI CONFIRMED
i clipped that
oh my god.
SOMEBODY PLS UPLOAD THAT SHI
THEY KISSED
THEY'RE TG????
"Fuck." Enid throws her head in her hands. If she was more careful, they wouldn't have to instantly come out as dating to literally everybody. And it was everybody, because she knew people would enhance the audio, and upload it to everywhere. What a fucking idiot she was. She would just have to deal with it in the morning, and for now... For now, she was busy.
Notes:
i hope you guys enjoyed! also for the next chapter wednesday might take enid out on a date in crackstone's crypt, so stay for that
Chapter 4
Summary:

Chapter Text
Enid wakes up at eight in the morning. She can't miss breakfast again, no matter how tired she is because of last night. She realises Wednesday is with her in her bed—she could've sworn they went to sleep in their own respective beds, but maybe she wanted to be held again. So Enid kissed her forehead: she had to wake her up in the best way possible; the psychic deserved only the best. "Good morning, Weds." She says to her tenderly. "Do you want to come down for breakfast?"
"Not hungry." She mumbles into Enid's shoulder. The lycan expected this answer, but she thought it would have been rude not to ask. She sits up against the bedframe, making sure to gently lay her girlfriend's head down on the pillow. Enid takes out her phone, seeing that the time is now 8:03AM. Twitter was going to be dreadful, so she clicked on it anyways. Clips of the stream were everywhere.

justagirl @imjustagirllol
i agree like sybau enid nobody ACTUALLY likes you
Seeing people hate her online felt awful. A while ago, when she first started streaming, she'd get the occasional 'ur not funny' or 'weird ahh werewolf' comment or message. But looking at two people go slightly in detail about hating her, and saying that she doesn't deserve Wednesday (or anyone)—it really stung. It reminded her of her mom, and all the horrible things she'd said to her, and also all the horrible things she had done. And her dad? Well, he would never do anything about it, or say anything about what she did to Enid. Even her brothers would never stand up for her. Being the youngest child, the only daughter, and the late bloomer was horrible. Her vision went blurry. The weight of everything that might happen, and everything that has happened, nobody could fix it, and nobody could help—not even Wednesday. The tears fell hot and fast down her face, and she started bawling. Her cries were loud, and she tried to stop herself, but Wednesday looked up at her before she could snuff the sound out.
"Enid, what happened?" She sat up next to her roommate, rubbing her eyes, but her gaze still never left the werewolf's. "Talk to me." She says gingerly, cupping her face and brushing away the tears.
"I saw some hate comments, and they reminded me of my parents. It's stupid, I know." She says, looking away. "I don't know, I just... It all seemed so real to me."
"No, no, no." She says, tilting her head so that she could meet her eyes. "Look at me, mia lupa." Her tone compels Enid to do what she said, but she immediately regrets it. It just makes the tears pour out faster to see that someone actually cares. "It isn't stupid. You shouldn't care about all that, Enid. You're perfect how you are." Even though they'd only technically been together for a day, the werewolf knew everything she was saying was true. A year of flirting and stolen glances had been leading up to what happened yesterday, so it was almost like they'd been together for much longer.
"Really?" She sniffles, her eyes softening. "But what about—"
"Whatever you think of yourself, any of your imperfections: that's what makes you perfect. To me, you will always, always be my perfect girl." She leans in and kisses Enid, and it's the softest and most gentle thing she's ever felt. When she pulls away and moves her hands back down, Enid has stopped crying. Her roommate is the glue that holds her together. A small smile decorates both of their faces as they stare into each other's eyes with only the most pure intent. "Do you want to tell me about your parents?" Wednesday questions, her eyes fixed on her girlfriend's.
"Not really. Is Parents Weekend soon?" Enid asks her, scared to hear the answer. She was thinking about not even going near them, let alone looking at them this year. Wednesday's parents would appreciate her more. She sees her roommate nodding. "Actually, I do want to talk about it. Sometimes my mom used to hit me because I was such a disappointment. Her werewolf strength was the worst part about her, because, well, you know. She would neglect me, ignore me... Sometimes she made me skip meals because I wasn't looking how she wanted me to. And she doesn't support people like us. At all. She made that very, very clear as I was growing up. My dad wouldn't do anything about it, and my brothers... they were too scared to do anything." She sighs, shivering slightly at the memories of what she used to do to her. Years of emotional and sometimes physical abuse—but Enid was true to her nature. Like a dog, she kept forgiving her mother, kept going back. The guilt was too much to handle. She's your mom. You can't leave her. She used to think. Once, she was close to running away, and even death seemed like a good option. But she felt so selfish and disgusting for having her own feelings. Being with Wednesday made her feel so safe and appreciated. She was basically foreign to feeling like that.
"Oh, mia lupa, you didn't deserve that." Wednesday takes her hand and squeezes it. When they first met, Enid could never imagine Wednesday Addams enjoying any kind of physical contact. But once she got comfortable, she was one of the most affectionate people Enid had ever met. But honestly, there was a pretty low bar, especially because of her past. "I don't think you're a disappointment. You're amazing, and you're the strongest person I've ever met." The pale hands of the other girl wrap around the lycan's waist, pulling her closer until she can rest her head on Wednesday's shoulder. "I will get you breakfast. What do you feel like?"
"Can you get jam toast? And a water bottle?" She asks her girlfriend, smiling weakly. "Also, when's the Rave'N?" Her smile widens slightly, knowing that they will most likely go together. She would get to dance with the psychic for the first time since last year. Wednesday had taken it upon herself to teach Enid how to slow dance (even though she knew her and whoever she went with probably wouldn't dance together). Enid had actually almost asked her last year, but Thing had told her about his plans to sneak a note into the tip jar at the Weathervane and use his five-finger discount to steal Wednesday the dress she had taken a liking to.
"It's actually next week this year, and Parents Weekend is the week after." She says to her, a hint of surprise in her tone. She seems to have heard the information before, but only just have recalled it—it hadn't really mattered to Wednesday before just yesterday.
"Oh, it's early. So is Parents Weekend." Enid says, her tone quivering slightly, scared of the events to come. She was terrified that her mother would find out about her and Wednesday—she would think of it as abnormal, but not just that, she would be dissatisfied with Enid because she'd never be able to have children and continue the werewolf family legacy. The idea of her daughter dating a girl was bad enough to Esther Sinclair, especially if that girl was not a lycan.
"You don't have to see her. You can spend it with me and my family; my mother likes you, and so does my fa—" Wednesday tries to develop an alternative but Enid cuts her off.
"I need to give her a chance. She's still my mom, no matter how... how awful she might be." She whines, sounding awfully close to a dog again. That was all Enid was: an overly loyal, forgiving dog who would go back to her mom no matter how much she hated her. And that made Enid hate herself. She hated to admit it because she was supposed to be all happy and bubbly, but she really did have all this loathing inside of her, and she couldn't do anything to hurt anybody else—so instead she just directed it all towards her flaws and all her mistakes. And she had plenty of choice, because she was anything but perfect.
"Okay, but if she tries anything, I will be having more than just words with her." Wednesday starts to get up. She'll probably go downstairs in her pyjamas—she isn't big on what other people think of her. It will also be her first appearance from the dorm since last night's series of events, but Enid is sure that she has some kind of pocket weapon at the ready. "See you soon."
"See you soon, Weds." Enid smiles at her and her gaze follows the other girl as she leaves the room.

Enid checks her phone—she knows the risks that come along with it (or more like what she would get reminded of). She sighs as she sees more hate comments about her relationship with Wednesday, not like it was any of their business. She also has no idea where her girlfriend went: she brought her toast, then she said she needed to prepare for something. Enid wasn't sure what and she couldn't really ask because she seemed as though she was in a hurry. A message pops up on her phone from Yoko.

Enid gets another message straight after closing her chat with Yoko. It was from the same person that she saw earlier, some anonymous account who obviously took joy in randomly trolling teenage girls online and making their life miserable.
anon @anon3832
ur fucking weird kys and leave wednesday alone you dont deserve any love
She curls up with her blankets, crying into her pillow. Maybe that person was right. Why was she so disgusting? Why was she even gay? She spiraled into asking too many questions about herself in her head. She hadn't felt like this since living at her house—maybe her mother was right: she was just a disappointment, and nothing more, she was a worthless piece of shit and she shouldn't even have a girlfriend, let alone any friends. Why was she like this? The anonymous person was right, and she doesn't deserve any love whatsoever.
"If there's a god up there, please, just take me away from all of this, please." She sobs into her pillow, her breath hitching on her words. She would beg at night, and now she had turned to generic begging. It was a dire situation to be in, but she didn't want any part of it no matter what. She can feel her eyes stinging from the sheer amount of crying she's been doing the past few days. Maybe she should really just kill herself. But what about Wednesday? There it was, that fucking puppy loyalty again. She was so stupid. Her claws suddenly grow out—it happens when she gets overwhelmed, or if she gets too excited or anything like that. But this most definitely was not excitement, or anything of the sort. She was falling into that hole that she had worked so hard to get out of again. Just before she got to Nevermore, she was in a depressive state and her family couldn't have cared less. She managed to fix herself, since she was used to doing things alone and by herself. Even though she ended up being okay in time for school, the signs of the struggle still showed on her arms. Her claws and her arms reminded her of something: she didn't have to release her emotions by crying. She could release them on herself, too. She retracted her claws so she could get what she needed.
She stood up, getting some tissue paper and a roll of bandages, as well as a pack of massive plasters that she'd found while searching for bandages. After rolling her sleeves up to just above her elbow, she re-grew her nails to be longer and sharper again. They crashed into her left arm, tearing her skin away, freeing a lot of blood. But she had made sure not to hit any veins or go too deep—that would be really, really bad. Enid lets out a cry of pain as the red liquid starts to spill out. The lycan retracts her blood-stained claws and takes a few tissues with her red hands. She presses them to the claw marks, as hard as she can. The blood slightly leaks out of the wound past the white material, but for the most part the bleeding reduces. She takes the bandages and rips off some of the roll, tightly securing it around her arm. She then goes into her walk-in closet—she needs something nice but long-sleeved, since Wednesday is preparing a surprise for her.
Enid takes out a plain lilac shirt, then a pink hoodie to wear over it. She also pulls out some pink, soft joggers to wear. She checks her phone after getting ready: it's nearing six o'clock. Wednesday has been gone for around three-and-a-half hours at this point, since she was with Enid after getting her breakfast, but then seemed to have a sudden idea. Whatever she has been preparing must be big. Her Twitter messages are empty, and Enid doesn't make the mistake of checking her feed, fearing any hate comments she may have gotten in the small time since she'd gotten her phone. The werewolf decides to message Yoko, but before she can send her text, one pops up almost instantly from the vampire.
yokoooo @myteetharered
stay in ur dorm or get ready
your girlfriend is coming to take you to your date
whereiswolf:P @pawsnclaws
tell her i cant wait to see her 3.5 hours is too long :(
yokoooo @myteetharered
clingy ahh (i told her)
she says see you soon mia lupa
whatever that means lol
Enid turns her phone off, and goes into their bathroom. She looks at herself in the mirror: what a mess. Her eyes are tinged scarlet from crying, and her face is stained with tear streaks. She wets her hands, then washes her face, gently drying it after with a towel. The werewolf gets a smaller towel, placing it under the tap to wet it slightly. She then puts it over her eyes to soothe them and hopefully reduce the redness. A few minutes later, she checks on herself again, seeing that her eyes have gone back to normal. She washes her hands, taking off any remaining blood, then the werewolf dries herself off, just in time for Wednesday to come into their room. She smiles warmly at Enid, not knowing what happened in the few hours she'd left. But Enid couldn't really blame her. Weds didn't know how bad it was or had been, and most certainly didn't know about what she'd used her claws for. The psychic comes up to Enid, trying to place her hand in the short-haired girl's. But the second she made the slightest physical contact with Enid, she launches herself into a vision. Her head throws itself back violently, causing Wednesday to instantly zone out with her vision facing towards the ceiling.
"Wednesday?" Enid places a hand on her back, hoping she can feel it in her vision and that she could help steady her when she came back to the real world, and not the one she developed for herself in the visions. Her roommate stays in a trance-like state for around 32 seconds before coming back to her senses. Wednesday's back tensed up much, much less, and her head came back down to look at Enid. Her gaze had changed from when she came in—at first it was soft, like she was happy to see her, and now she just looked flat-out miserable. But Enid also saw something else in her girlfriend's eyes: pity. Had she seen what happened when she left the room? "Weds, what did you see?" Her tone is tender and careful, which she hoped the other girl picked up on. She didn't want her to feel pressured to say anything she didn't want to.
"Nothing." She mumbles. "It was boring, like... like a random vision. Just showed, um, us on the date." She was clearly lying through her teeth; there was no way a vision that was meant to be happy or joyful could make her mumble like that, or stutter. Enid also knew her visions could show the past, so maybe she really did see everything. 32 seconds was more than enough to show what had happened. "Let's just go. We're at Crackstone's Crypt today. I'll row."
Once they got onto the island, just before stepping foot into the Crypt, Wednesday gave her an instruction. "Close your eyes, I'll help you into the Crypt." So Enid did as she was told, and she took Wednesday's hands as to make sure she didn't fall. It's kind of cold out, making Enid glad she's wearing long sleeves. Suddenly, she slightly stumbles, but doesn't fall—even though Wednesday helps her she also giggles at her misstep. Enid loves that sound. She can tell when she steps into the small building, because her eyelids light up with warm fluorescence. Normally, this place was dark and cold, and despite it still being slightly chilly, the lycan could tell that she'd put lights in. Her heightened sense of smell tells her that there is food here, and it seems like pepperoni pizza—this was Enid's favourite food, and she had mentioned it to Wednesday last year. She smiles at the fact that her girlfriend had actually bothered to remember and actually cared about something she had said. She wasn't used to such nice treatment, and she was sure that Yoko hadn't told her, because they only had ordered pizza a few times, but it had always just been a cheese pizza. One thing she had also mentioned: she preferred thin base pizza. She was sure Weds would remember that, if she had remembered about the pizza. "You can open your eyes now." Her voice meets the werewolf's ears after a few moments of silence. Her tone was soft, and slightly quieter than usual. The boat ride over had been kind of awkward due to the other girl's vision, and Enid was sure that it was about earlier's sequence of events from when she was left alone.
Enid's vision is immediately met with a wonderful scene: a few blankets and pillows are scattered on the floor, and there's a few lights nearby mounted on the walls. Next to the place where she assumed they would sit was two pizza boxes. They were both slightly steaming still, so they were probably still warm. They were also closed, so Enid couldn't tell whether she could trust her werewolf senses just yet. Her eyes widen when she also sees a laptop—maybe they'd watch a movie. "Weds, it's perfect." She's still holding one of Wednesday's hands, so she squeezes it in appreciation. "Thank you."
"Guess what movie we're watching?" Her roommate's face is adorned with a small smirk, which probably means it's a horror, but at least Enid will get to cuddle up with Wednesday, which was also maybe why she had chose whatever she chose. The lycan gives a small nod to the other girl to indicate her to carry on. "The Conjuring." The smirk grows into a slightly evil smile, but it looks cute on Weds.
"Seriously?" She whines, her voice encrusted with a hint of sarcasm.
"Unfortunately for you, yes." The shorter girl says, still smiling at her. "But I did get us thin base pepperoni pizza." Her gaze trails Enid's face to look into her eyes, ready for her reaction.
"You remembered?" The werewolf asks, blue eyes softening.
"How could I not, mia lupa?" She tells her, the smile on her face turning into a smaller yet warmer one.
"C'mon, let's eat. I'm starving."
After the pizza has been finished and the movie is done (as a matter of fact, Enid had curled up into Wednesday's arms), the psychic held her girlfriend slightly tighter, preparing to ask a difficult question. Enid just enjoyed being held by her; her arms felt like home, and she would give the werewolf butterflies no matter if they were together or not. "Enid?" She says, sounding apprehensive.
"Yeah?" She asks, looking up at the other girl.
"In my vision earlier, I didn't really see us. I saw when you were alone in the dorm, and... and what you did to yourself. What you did with your claws." She tells her, spilling out the information. Her voice wobbled slightly, because now Enid understood that she really did care. "I heard some of your thoughts, too. You do deserve me, my love. And you aren't a disappointment to me or anyone else, and if your family cannot see that, they are stupid. You deserve the world and more, okay? Please stay here, with me. But not for me, so you can survive this. You're not broken, you're just incomplete. But to be complete is to live, Enid."
"Do you really think that?" She asks, gripping her girlfriend's arm tighter. "Did you see my childhood? What that woman did to me?"
"I saw some of it, of you almost jumping off the building, of you almost running away. But you have to live for yourself. How do you know how to survive without trying first?"
"I'll stay, Weds. I promise." The lycan says to the pale girl, shakily breathing in and out, in and out. "As long as you stay, so will I."
"I promise I will stay with you, Enid." Her hand finds its way into the werewolf's, and they pit together like two different sides of a puzzle. Different, but together nonetheless. They could complete each other, but Enid's time left is dwindling. But she could find a way to live. And Wednesday would be the final piece for her puzzle. They would complete each other.

Chapter Text
Enid dreads days like today. It's a full moon, meaning she will have to wolf out. There is no way to prevent it, and there is no way to keep away from the lupin cages—believe her, she's tried to go into the forest, but the teachers found her before she could start wolfing out or wreaking havoc. She still needs to stream, or at least post an apology for not streaming for weeks. To be fair, how could she with how she's doing? It was impossible to talk to Wednesday about it, and posting about her mental health online would only attract hate comments and weird people. She could stream on the night of the Rave'N, showing the outsiders how nice it is. The dress code was meant to be similar to last year's since last time it was ruined by Lucas and those Normie idiots; they were basically apologising and not letting in any Normies this time. That one fire exit door she escaped from, only to find Lucas and his friends? Well, that would be locked. The two entrances would be under strict surveillance by staff, and anything that could have been sabotaged was checked to the best of the teachers' ability. She looks at her girlfriend over in her bed, reading a book she'd never heard of. Maybe she should ask her about tonight?
"Weds, y'know how I'm wolfing out today?" She says, getting her attention. The other girl puts down the book, and shifts her gaze to meet Enid's eyes, her own softening at the mention of Enid's least favourite thing to do.
"Yes." Her eyes are still soft, and she looks upset for Enid.
"Can you help me tonight? Like, bandage me if I get hurt as a wolf, or give me my clothes through the bars?" She glances away momentarily, scared she would say no. I mean, who would want to help her?She was just a dumb werewolf, and that was it.
"Of course I will." Wednesday stands up, coming to sit next to her girlfriend on the other bed. She hugs her, and it reminds Enid of last year, when they finally hugged for the first time. She holds Wednesday as tight as she can, never wanting to part from her, but forgets about her strength. Her roommate's strained voice comes out to meet her ears. "Too tight, too tight!" Enid lets go and looks away from her, embarrassed. Seriously, how stupid could she be? "It's okay, Enid, we all make mistakes."
"Sorry, though." She trails her eyes back up to the other girl's pale face, her expression apologetic.
"Don't say sorry, mia lupa. You can't control your strength." She tells her, squeezing Enid's hand gently. The werewolf only just realises that her girlfriend's eyes are red, and slightly puffy. Was she worried about her or something else? It was impossible to tell because Wednesday didn't really express herself much, or talk about her feelings.
"Hey, are you okay?" The lycan asks her, raising her eyebrows. "Your eyes are red." She pulls her closer, then cups the psychic's face, stroking her face with her thumbs slowly. Wednesday looks away, glancing at anything she can find except for Enid. "Talk to me."
"I... I've just been worried about you, and with Parents' Weekend coming up, I don't want you to feel any pressure with your mother, and I don't want you to hurt yourself anymore." Her lip quavers ever so slightly. "Please stay with me." She takes in a shaky breath, and her face scrunches up as if she is about to cry.
"I-I'll stay, Weds. I promise you, I will stay." Enid brushes away a loose tear that begins to run from her darkly coloured eye. She doesn't understand why she cares so much—she's just a dumb wolf and those people from Twitter were really telling the truth. She doesn't deserve love ever. From nobody, especially not Wednesday. Why did she stay for other people? It is her loyalty, that's why. She makes all these promises, but she probably won't keep them, honestly. She hates herself, she does.
"Thank you, Enid." She tells her roommate, sniffling. "I love you." She stares into her werewolf's blue eyes. They look like the ocean. And Wednesday would drown in them if se needed to, a thousand times over.
The lycan's eyes widen at the sudden confession: nobody had ever said that to her before. Nobody cared about her that much to love her. "I love you too." And she had never had to say that, either. She knew a lot of people said that to their parents, but she never had that opportunity, and they didn't deserve her love anyways. She leans in, gently kissing her, then pulling away but staying close to her face. They just looked into each other's eyes, smiling, before Enid starts giggling slightly.
"What is it?" Wednesday loves her laugh. Not just her laugh—everything about her was perfect and Wednesday loves every inch of the other girl.
"Butterflies." Enid says, her stomach fluttery from her love for the person sitting next to her, more than anybody else. She really did love her. And she had never felt that way before. "Just butterflies." She repeats, her cheeks flushing red. Her worries about wolfing out evaporate as she realises that Wednesday might actually mean those three powerful words. She had forgotten about Parents' Weekend, her fear of being sent to conversion therapy... For once, she lives in the moment. Being here with Wednesday was probably going to be the highlight of her life. Her 'glory days', as they called it in one of Wednesday's favourite books. It was a favourite of Enid's, too. The Perks Of Being A Wallflower. Honestly, she could relate to Charlie's spiral into a place he could barely get out of.
"What do you need to take to the lupin cages?" Wednesday asks her, taking her hand again. She's still staring into her girlfriend's eyes, transfixed by them.
"I have a bag packed, but later I'll just change into some old clothes." She tells her, smiling at the psychic. "It has bandages, plasters, clothes, a towel, some snacks, a bottle of water... Pretty much all I could need."
"Why would you need bandages?" Wednesday frowns, concern clouding her expression.
"Wolves can't always control themselves. If I thrash about in the cage, or accidentally hurt myself, I can put them on there or back in the dorm. It depends how bad the cut is. That's why I need your help; I can't always reach my wounds." She tells her, squeezing her hand reassuringly. "It's just a precaution, Weds."
"Okay, fine. Also, are you okay? You look kind of stressed, or worried, or something." She asks her, scanning her face again as if taking mental notes on her expressions.
"I- Uh, just stressed about Parents' Weekend, and tonight." She gives Wednesday her down-turned smile. "If my mom finds out about us... she might send me to conversion therapy again." Her eyes blur, mixing everything together like paint. She liked painting once, before she couldn't use anything except her claws as an escape. They made her paint at conversion therapy, as a soothing activity, but she lashed out one time. She'd thrown the paint at her supervisor, and they'd locked her up for a day in solitary. Obviously everything they'd tried hadn't worked, since she was sitting here, holding Wednesday's cold hand. "I can't go back there."
"I won't let anything happen to you. I promise you, I won't let her send you there... Wait. Did you say again?" Her face twists into a mix of realisation and disgust. "You've been to conversion therapy before?"
"I went there when I was twelve. It clearly failed, even though my mom paid them almost a thousand dollars. That's why she would be pissed if she found out that I still like girls." She sounds scared, but who wouldn't be? The only person who might be able to know the full story one day is Wednesday—Enid wouldn't talk about it with anybody else.
"I'm so sorry, mia lupa." That's the only thing she can think to say to her.
"Yeah... Anyways, we have to leave in like, two hours." She blurts this out, desperate to change the subject. She didn't want any reminders of that horrible place. It was worse because it was a 'special' camp for outcasts, so she was judged even more harshly for being a late bloomer. They would make her feel shit because of her not being able to wolf out. As if that would compel her to do it. You can't force yourself to become a monster, Enid had tried. She'd tried so much and got so frustrated that she had figured out she could hurt herself for the first time. But for now, she just had to wait for two hours, until that thing would come out of her.
"Oh, shit, I lost track of time. We have to hurry!" Enid says, leaping out of her bed and into her walk-in closet. Her navy blue wolfing out bag is sat in the corner of the cupboard and her older clothes are laid out already, courtesy of her front-loading from earlier. She quickly changes, dumping her other clothes on the floor, then the soon-to-be werewolf puts her backpack over her shoulder. A minute and nine seconds—she was sure that was her personal best. She comes out of her closet, completely ready to go, and sees that Wednesday is standing by the door, holding it open. She gives her a small smile, and gestures for her to go first. Enid starts walking towards the door, but her claws suddenly come out. "It happens sometimes before I... Before I turn into that thing." Her gaze shifts past her girlfriend to the stairs next to their dorm.
Getting to the cages was easy: go down to the main grounds, walk into the Nevermore forest, head in the opposite direction of Crackstone's Crypt, and you're there. She takes her shoes off once she gets into the cage, handing them to Wednesday through the bars along with her bag. She sits for a second, staring at the metal floor, lined with dozens of scratch marks and dotted with a few marks of blood. "Are you okay?" She asks the lycan, finally breaking the silence. The other members of the pack are talking to the people they brought with them in hushed voices too.
"Yeah, just nervous. I always am." Enid whispers back, tearing her eyes away from the floor to focus on Wednesday instead. She hears a crack coming from her hand, and she instantly knows what's happening. The cracking sound reminds her of that time when one of the strings on the other girl's cello broke. A loud, snapping sound one night which woke her up. This was the same, but she could feel her bones shifting and expanding along with her skin. The fur sprouted up, curling and twisting uncomfortably out of her pores. She lets of a scream on pain as she breaks out of her clothes, fully transforming into the lycanic form she had come to know as a monster. She howls at the moon with all her strength, her body compelling her to do it.
All of her bad thoughts suddenly come back—conversion therapy replays in her mind, and so does her mom. She was a disappointment, nothing more, but maybe something lesser. Her sharp talons scratch the bottom of the cage repeatedly as she bellows with rage. Out of the corner of her golden-brown eye, she sees Wednesday's concerned face peering at her through the bars. But she had backed away. Even she thought she was a monster. Who didn't? Enid feels the control slipping away from herself as she starts bashing around the cage, feeling like she's in solitary again. She feels so trapped, so stuck. And the wolf knows how badly this will injure her, but she has lost control. The cage shudders slightly, threatening to release her, though she knows it can't. She physically cannot stop herself no matter how hard she tries. Her whole body is aching, and her waist is bleeding—it'll be a hundred times worse when she turns back into a human.
"Enid." Wednesday's voice cuts through the air, amplified through her werewolf ears that had sprouted on her head. "Enid, calm down." Enid stops, panting, unable to express her gratitude in words. Instead, as soon as she looks at her roommate, she plops down on the floor and bows her grey snout towards Wednesday. She sniffles and whines, waiting for her girlfriend to pet her. A smile appears when she realises what Enid wants, sticking her hand through the bars. She strokes her snout, gently carrying on, seeming glad that she calmed down Enid. She gives her a happy snuffle, and she moves slightly closer. Wednesday giggles slightly—Enid's favourite sound. The wolf is happy getting pets and the psychic is just happy to be there for her, happy that she can soothe her and stop her from thrashing around.
"It's okay, mia lupa. You'll be back soon." She tells her, carrying on stroking her. Before Enid knows it, all of her bad thoughts evaporate into nothingness, and in another second, she's untransforming. Wednesday looks away, passing her the towel and her change of clothes through the bars of the cage. The bones snap back into shape, the hair untwists itself and disappears back into her pores, her ears go back down into her head, and her eyes change from golden-brown back to the ocean blue that Wednesday would drown in. As soon as Enid is ready to leave, Wednesday unlocks the cage, and they drop the key off to reception before very, very slowly making their way back up the stairs to their dorm. The lycan's body aches, wanting to lie down and go to sleep for a thousand years. She can feel the blood spilling out of the wound on her waist, but the towel is already wrapped around the wound—her girlfriend's handiwork.
"Will you wrap my waist with bandages?" She can hardly get these words out, because even after having sugary snacks to boost her energy, she still feels like shit, just like every single time she wolfs out. "I f-feel really weak." She stammers, struggling to get her words out. Late bloomers usually get the worst of the aftereffects that come post-transforming. Usually it doesn't feel this bad, but usually she isn't depressed and doesn't lash out in the cage.
"Of course." Wednesday holds her around her shoulders a little tighter while they walk down the short hallway to the dorm. "You know I'll do anything for you, right?"
Enid's stomach gets butterflies again, which is weird because they're dating—she shouldn't get that around her girlfriend. "I know, Weds." The lycan's small smile grows slightly wider once she gets pulled even closer to her.
"By the way, we can still go to the Rave'N, right? You heal faster as a wolf I'm pretty sure?" She says, opening their door and letting Enid through first while still letting her grab onto her pale arm for support.
"Uh... Uh, yeah! Wolves heal pretty quickly, this will stop hurting by the Rave'N, but might not fully heal." Enid blushes, taken aback by the sudden invitation. She knew it was going to come eventually if she didn't ask, but it still made her feel good that she would get to dance with Wednesday Addams. And knowing her, they'd slow dance, and Enid would be completely fine with that. The other girl had done so much for her recently, and was still doing a lot now, so of course she'd go with Wednesday even if she was dying.
"I better go dress shopping later then." She smirks, sitting Enid down on the colourful bed, propping her up on the pillows behind her.
"I better as well. We'll see who looks better. But it'll probably be you." The short-haired girl smiles back at Wednesday, seeing that her remark had its effect: her cheeks were ever so slightly red.

Chapter Text
The lycan can't wait to get back to her girlfriend. But she's having a great time with Yoko and her friends, still tingling with excitement after her dance with Wednesday. She isn't sure whether the warmth inside of her is due to what happened prior to the psychic leaving, or because the punch might've been spiked. Oh well.
"Hey, Yoko!" Enid shouts over the music. "I'm going back to my dorm! See you!" Her best friend's smile widens as she mentions retreating to her room.
"Have fun!" Yoko smirks, clearly thinking of her and Weds. Everybody had seen them dancing—the crowd had literally parted for them, which wasn't a surprise because everybody had already assumed they were dating ling before they actually had gotten together. Enid slowly wriggles her way through the masquerade ball's horde, until she finally gets out of that hot space, the cold air greeting her almost like a long-lost friend. She holds her dress up as she walks across the grounds to the stairs of Ophelia Hall, but before she can even reach the building's stairs, she gets tripped over by an invisible foot. A boy's snickering meets her ears, and it doesn't sound familiar. She looks behind her to see someone suddenly appear out of literally nowhere.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?!" She screams at him, frowning. She stands up slowly, backing away slightly, her claws itching to wreak havoc on his face. Luckily for him, she doesn't feel any blood coming out of her knees, so she holds back (for now).
"I should be asking you the exact same question. Why're you wasting yourself on some random weird girl?" He inches forward, studying her. Her claws come out by themselves, requiring no energy from her to get ready for anything that could possibly happen. "You're too pretty to be a—"
"Are you sure you would like to finish that sentence?" A voice she was accustomed to meets her ears. Wednesday was here. She was wearing one of those massive hoodies with extremely baggy joggers: one of Enid's favourite outfits on her. The invisible boy chokes on his own words as a knife slips out from her sleeve into her hand. She lazily flips it in her hand, catching it by the handle easily.
"I was... Uh... No." He disappears, fast footsteps running away, back towards the Rave'N, back towards the safety of other people. Enid realises that if Wednesday wasn't there, the situation could have ended up being a whole lot worse, due to his invisibility. Even though she wasn't seriously hurt, she still had tears in her eyes, imagining the worst possible scenarios in her head. Wednesday comes next to Enid, and wraps her arm around her.
"I heard you yelling at somebody from the balcony. I came as soon as I could." She says, putting the knife in her pocket. "It's okay, Enid, he's gone now." The psychic sees the other girl's tears lining her face, and pulls her closer. "Come on, I'll sleep with you tonight. You're okay."
Enid wraps her arms around Wednesday, nuzzling into her shoulder. This'll be a Rave'N to remember. She thinks while dozing off. Before she knows it, she's enveloped in a dream. The werewolf sees herself as a twelve-year-old, in solitary confinement at conversion therapy. She sees herself tearing up her arms because she couldn't see another way out. She sees herself rampaging the house to try and find bandages when she was home alone. And then she sees herself standing at the top of that building, looking down at the concrete pavement too far below her. She couldn't take it anymore, but she remembered the future she might be leaving behind. She remembered that she would prove her mom right: she was selfish, and nothing else. So she went back down the stairs, back to that place she called 'home'. Enid, why haven't you wolfed out yet? Her mom asked her that same day, her face red with anger. The rage inside her had built up over time because of her disappointment of a daughter. Enid tried to find a way around her mom to get to the safety of her room, but she was too slow. The other werewolf's palm met her cheek.
"Enid?" Wednesday is hovering over her, gently shaking her awake. "Are you okay?"
"Hmm?" The lycan rubs her eyes and yawns. "What happened?"
"You were whining in your sleep, like a puppy." The pale girl brushes the hair out of Enid's face, giving her a clearer view of her girlfriend. "Were you having a bad dream?"
"Kind of. I-I was thinking about how my life was before here. At home. And also at conversion therapy." Not a lie, but not the full truth—she didn't need to know about anything else, or that day when she'd almost jumped off that building. If she knew, she would only be more concerned, and she didn't want her to worry. She could handle this herself, she always did. Somehow she always got through whatever she had to get through. "Have I ever done that before?" She asks, knowing she's had a few of those types of dreams before.
"I think maybe last year you did it a couple of times." She sighs, still hovering over Enid. "You know that you can come to me, right? I'm always here, okay, mia lupa?"
"I know, Weds." She replies, hypnotised by her dark eyes. She pulls her girlfriend into a soft kiss, warmth spreading through her as their hands find each other's faces. "I love you." She pulls away ever so slightly—just enough for her to feel the other girl's warm breath greeting her face. She might have known that she could talk to her, but that didn't mean that it was easy to say anything about. Nothing was easy to talk about, especially what happened before coming to this school and finding friends. That saved her, and seeing other people who were considered "different" in their own respect... It showed her that she didn't have to be so miserable. Nobody could hurt her here. But for the first few nights, she had still stayed up late at night, scared that her mom might burst into her room and take her frustration out on her daughter.
"I love you too." Wednesday says, still holding Enid's face and looking deep into her eyes. Enid had never felt more cared for or more seen than she had with the psychic, and yet she still somehow couldn't find the words to tell her what had happened. Wednesday kisses the lycan's forehead—one of the most intimate gestures (in Enid's opinion) that someone could do to her.
"I'm sorry that I can't open up. I want to, but I just can't." Her eyes scan her girlfriend's for any emotions, for anything. The only thing she finds: a small and reassuring smile.
"I am always here. Please don't feel pressured; talk to me at your own pace." She brushes a stray hair out of Enid's eyes.
"I think I might be able to talk about it." She takes a deep breath then exhales, hoping her throat doesn't close up while she tries to talk. "When I was nine, all of my brothers had already wolfed out. My mom already began to think of me as a spare child, I guess. I'm the only girl, and the youngest child. So she just assumed I'd be a disappointment, and she wasn't wrong. The first time something bad happened—not just shouting, something that triggered me—was when she hit me. And of course, her enhanced strength didn't help. That was when I was ten. She missed my birthday on purpose and wouldn't buy me anything that wasn't a necessity. She would tell me that until I wolfed out, I didn't deserve anything good. My brothers and my dad didn't do anything about it. One night, when they were wolfing out, I tried so hard and I got so frustrated. But the only thing that came out were my claws. That was when I realised that I didn't need blades—my weapon was myself.
"I started thinking like my mom, that I was just a disappointment and nothing more, but maybe something less. She hit me a few more times, and then one day I stole some bandages and plasters from a shop. I got my first scars then, and I realised that my fast healing meant I could do it as many times as I wanted in the span of a week or two. Nobody realised what I was doing. And then I told my mom about a crush I had at school when I was twelve. She asked me who the unlucky boy was, so I told her they were a lucky girl. She had a meltdown and she hit me a lot. So I locked myself in my room, and I was really close to running away, but I stopped myself. Give her a second chance, she's your mom, I thought. But I should've just ran. It got worse. She sent me to conversion therapy, and I was in solitary a lot, tearing up my arms. They never sent me to a ward or anything, just told me I was weak and needed to get over it. Straight after, I went to a lycanologist. Both of those places failed awfully, as you can see. Then, I was fourteen and I got back to my home. If you can call it that. I snuck out one night and was so close to jumping off this building near my house, but my stupid puppy loyalty stopped me again. They sent me here when they realised how much of a disappointment I was. They realised they couldn't handle having a child like me."
"Enid, I promise you, you're safe here. I will protect you even if it is the last thing I do. Every fibre of my being is in love with you, okay? I will do every single thing in my power to help you. You just come to me with your problem, and I'll help you." Her hands move back to cup Enid's cheeks, and the psychic's eyes have welled up. A tear runs from one of them, and she realises that she has never seen her cry before.
"I love you so much." Enid sniffles, pulling her into a hug. She squeezes her tight (but not too tight, she's careful). It feels better knowing someone will be there for her, to help her shoulder the burden. She's six days clean, and she wants it to stay that way. She knows her girlfriend will help her stay in one piece. And maybe they do complete each other.

Chapter Text
"Enid, remember what we talked about, okay?" Wednesday tells her, hands on her shoulders. "If she does anything, come to me and my family, okay?" She squeezes her shoulders and Enid melts a little inside at how caring she was.
"I-I know, Wednesday. I'll be okay." She replies, pulling her into a hug. The families were coming into the Quad any second, so Enid pulled away—but not before she saw Morticia Addams smiling at them from behind her girlfriend, and Gomez winking. They were great parents, but they weren't Enid's. Speaking of her parents, as she turns away from Wednesday, she sees her brothers and her mom and dad. She sighs, slowly walking up to them all. This time... five whole seconds before her judge-y claws came out. "Hi, mom. Hi, dad." She does her best to smile at them, even though all her memories were slowly resurfacing. Her scars felt itchy.
"Hello, Enid." Her mom says to her, scanning her face for any flaws. "You've put on weight."
"Two seconds, wow." Enid rolls her eyes, trying to brush off the comment.
"Come on, Enid, stop acting like you're nine years old again." Of course her mother would respond with something even more snarky than what Enid said. "Anyways, have you got a boyfriend yet? You should, this is around the time I met your dad." And there it was: the question she had been dreading.
"No, mom, I don't have a boyfriend." The lycan looks behind her at Wednesday to see how she's doing, and of course, her parents and brother seem happy to see her. She smiles, forgetting that her homophobic parents were right there.
"Is that your roommate? You seem close." She says suspiciously, looking at Wednesday and then back at her own daughter. "You aren't together, right?" Her mom's eyes widen, realising that her money that paid for conversion therapy might not have worked. Enid is torn between telling her the truth and just lying. She would think she'd be supportive, like her biological mom, but on the other hand, she was a complete stranger to Enid—she was unpredictable.
"We... We're not—" Her stuttering and stammering and spluttering is cut off by the person standing in front of her, who was wearing an expression she couldn't read.
"I knew you would grow up to be one of those abominations." She can't even say the word 'gay'. "I'm so disappointed in you." She has that look about her, the one where she seems like she's about to resort to using Enid as an outlet for all her anger. She raises her hand and backhands Enid across the face, causing her to flinch and grab her face in pain. She cries out, but the Quad is so loud that nobody notices. "We'll fix you, don't you worry." Her mother frowns at her, looking her up and down as if looking at the lycan to see what was wrong with her.
"I don't need 'fixing', mom." She says, her voice quivering. Her chin wobbles—she needs to fall into Wednesday's arms and snuggle up to her in their bed. She tries to walk away, but her mom grabs her arm. She gets out of her grip and runs to the dorm as fast as she can, stumbling up the stairs. The second the door shuts and she falls on her bed, she plops her face into her pillow and begins to sob. She shakes while still sobbing, and sniffling, and inhaling slowly. She hears the door open, so she quickly sits up and backs into the corner of her bed, terrified that her mom might've come back to take her away.
"Enid." Wednesday frowns, looking at the cheek that got slapped, and her red eyes, and the tears running down her face. She relaxes ever so slightly after seeing her girl's concerned face. "Enid, she hit you again, didn't she?"
"It all happened so fast!" Her body hitches with sobs and she inhales shakily, trying to get herself under control. Her hands start tingling, and she holds them up to her face. The stupid claws from that monster in her were about to—yep, there they fucking were. Those stupid, stupid talons... She hates them. Her roommate sits down next to her, wrapping her arms gently around Enid's shoulders. The sharp claws instantly retract back into regular nails: Wednesday always calms her down, no matter what. "She knows about us." Enid whispers, burying her face into her girlfriend's shoulder, putting her arms around her as well.
"S-she won't send you back, right?" Wednesday asks, faltering for a second. She sounds genuinely scared of what might happen when Enid is separated from her.
"She might. Promise me one thing?" She asks softly, mumbling. "Promise me you'll come and save me, Weds. I can't do that again." She pleads, a tear trailing from her eye into the black-and-grey Nevermore uniform.
"I promise I'll come for you, mia lupa. I have no problem hunting you down." This comment earns a small smirk from Enid, enjoying how the psychic tries to make the situation lighter. She just wanted to make her werewolf feel better.
"I-I love you." Enid says, hesitating when she says it. She feels like when she wants to say something like that, her throat fully closes up, and she can't say anything. So when words had actually come out, she was surprised at first. But then she pulled away from their hug, and tenderly kisses the other girl. It feels so soft and warm that all of her problems melt away in an instant.
"Ti amo." Wednesday replies once they stop. Enid knows that means 'I love you' in Italian. She feels her cheeks warm up just a bit. Her saying something in Italian to Enid always, always gave her butterflies, no matter what the context was. She remembers why she knew what that phrase meant: one day in the dorm, Wednesday had randomly come in with a knife. Enid had scolded her and told her that there were strictly no knives in the dorm, but was giggling while approaching her. She knew what she was doing. She had grabbed both of Wednesday's wrists and held her against a wall while trying to get the knife out of her hand. She had seen her blushing hard—that day they had basically been nose-to-nose. The shorter girl had mumbled something under her breath: "You're lucky ti amo." She probably didn't want Enid to hear any of it, but her heightened senses picked it up. Enid had remembered the words and had translated them, surprised at what she saw, but her eyes had lit up at the webpage nonetheless.
"Can I come to your family?" She asks, staring into her beautiful black-brown eyes. They were an inky mix. "Please?" Her blue eyes drown the hesitation in the psychic, and the other girl stands up and offers her a hand. A tiny smile makes its way onto Wednesday's face.
"They'll be happy to see you." She tells her, squeezing her hand once Enid takes it. She quickly wipes her tears on her sleeves with her other arm after standing up. They go down the stairs, hand in hand. The lycan is scared her mom will come and take her back there, but she knows that the other girl won't let that happen.
"Oh, hello, Enid." Morticia says once she sees them approaching. Her face lights up just enough for Enid to notice after her eyes drift to their hands intertwined together.
"Hi." Pugsley says, smiling. He must be coming to Nevermore soon, they let you in once you turn thirteen, and the werewolf is sure he's already thirteen.
"Hi, Enid." Gomez tells her, smiling warmly. She loves this family—they were much, much better than all of her family, extended included.
"What brings you here?" Morticia asks. She knows it isn't meant to be rude, she can tell it's just an innocent question. But it takes her a few seconds to think of a lie.
"I-I... Uh, I just felt like meeting Wednesday's family." Her hand grips the pale girl's tighter, scared that her lie will be seen through.
"That's nice, thank you. I wanted to meet you too. You're a good influence on Wednesday, as I can see." She tells Enid, glancing back at their interlocked hands. She seems to approve of their relationship, clearly happy for Wednesday and Enid. She murmurs something under her breath to Gomez behind her hand, but the lycan's ears pick it up: "I saw this happening in a vision from last year. I could see it unfolding slowly when we came last year too." Enid blushes, unsure how to feel about her having a vision about them together.
"What did she say?" Wednesday whispers to Enid, realising that her abilities go far beyond turning into that cataclysmic, disgusting monster.
"She saw us being together in a vision." Enid replies in a hushed voice, confident that they wouldn't be able to hear her.
"What happened to your cheek?" Pugsley asks, noticing the redness. No matter how much it had faded, it must've still been obvious.
"Oh, I slipped and my face hit the ground." Enid says, hesitating to say more. "Just an accident." She regrets that: adding more detail might not help her, but it would probably make her look way more suspicious. Morticia eyes her doubtfully, looking like she's sure that something more happened.
"I haven't even given you a hug yet—how rude of me!" Wednesday's mother says, approaching Enid. She knows that there is something more to this 'hug'. A vision was triggered when Wednesday gave her physical contact a few weeks ago, on the night of their first date. She didn't want Morticia to see her childhood, or what had just happened. The second they make physical contact, a premonition begins, and her girlfriend's mom violently throws her head back. The lycan counts how long she's stuck for while they wait: it turns out to be thirty four seconds long. Plenty of time for her life to be put on display. Once she comes out of her trance, she frowns at Enid, who uncomfortably smiles back at her. She looks her up and down as if trying to read her, specifically looking at her hands. She must have seen something to do with the claws.
"Enid, there you are!" Her mom's voice unfortunately meets her ears. She turns around slowly, dreading what might be about to come. "I've been looking for you after your tantrum. You overreact a lo—Oh, hello." She seems like she's had only just taken notice of Wednesday and her family. She was glad they were there; things might've got bad if she was by herself. "Why are you with her? You know how I feel about people like you." She says sternly, frowning.
"I don't care. I have family elsewhere, and I'm not coming back home. I'll stay at the Addams house." She sighs, glad to have gotten that out of her.
"No, you aren't. I am your mother, and you will listen." Esther is a stranger to her right now.
"Enid will not be listening to you." Morticia says to her own mother, sizing her up.
"You have no place in this. Enid, you're going back. Back to conversion therapy. They can still fix this, I've asked them. It's only a thirty minute drive away. Pack your things. No technology." Esther drags her by the arm, and no matter how much she struggles, the grip she has on her is impossible to break.
The journey over there is the most miserable thing ever. Wednesday could not save her, no matter how hard she had tried. Maybe she could hit a vein or two on purpose in solitary and bleed out. Once they realised the treatment wasn't working they'd throw her back in that lonely room that she had spent so long in.
"Enid, why so glum? A few weeks here, you'll be right as rain!" A genuine smile crosses her mom's face—a rare sight to see, and yet this was one of the only things that would cause it. Enid does not respond. She doesn't look at her. She doesn't even cry. She just keeps a straight face, keeps looking out the window. Her last look at a respectful society, why wouldn't she choose to see it? Her last few memories with Wednesday play in her head. The last time they did together was hold hands. The last thing she said to Enid were to comfort her, but she knew that she wouldn't be comforted wherever she was headed. Well, actually, she knew where she was headed. The same place she went to almost five years ago, the same place that had snapped something inside her permanently. This time she had something to cling to—hope that Wednesday would find her. And she would, because there was only one place within a thirty-minute drive that was an Outcast conversion therapy camp.
When she was finally admitted to her room after a thorough bag check, there was no sign of a roommate. She felt fully numb after realising that she would be by herself for ninety percent of the time she would spend here. Her mom had probably paid extra for a single, lonely dorm. There was a window, but all she could see outside of it was a fence, and it was probably locked anyways. They had told her that they would finally be able to rehabilitate her, and they've apparently had a lot of success lately, but Enid knew that was a lie. You couldn't change your roots no matter how much you tried to carve them out. Believe her, she knew. Her mom had lied to the school too, said there was 'urgent family business'. Something like this was extremely urgent to her, and it was technically family business. But if anybody knew the truth, Esther would have been escorted out of Nevermore for Enid's safety, since this type of establishment was illegal nowadays. They disguised it as an opportunity for young people to come here and 'share' and 'fix' their problems.
"Well, I guess this is goodbye." Her mom enters the room and she backs away slowly into a corner, not wanting to have to numb the pain anymore than she already had to. "I'm sure they'll fix this weird attitude you have had recently as well. They told me they have new and unconventional methods to treat people like you, people who don't want to be fixed." Her mom takes one last look at her mistake, and leaves, closing the door behind her. However, someone else opens it almost straight away. One of the workers was already here to talk to her.
"Hi, I'm Sophie, and I suppose you're Enid!" She smiles awkwardly. "I used to come here, and they fixed me so well that I joined when I grew older. Just to let you know, we have some new policies. Force will be met with force. Solitary is still here, but let's hope you don't spend as much time there as you used to."
Enid nods and keeps her vision fixed to the grey carpet floor. She doesn't care about solitary, this time she can act like she's fixed so they release her sooner, and then she can go back to Nevermore. Back to Wednesday. That thought is probably the only thing that will keep her going.
"I see you aren't very talkative. I'll leave you here for a while, and someone will come and collect you when it's time for dinner." Sophie tells her, shutting the door again, leaving her to her own thoughts. Enid is so tired that she just decides to sleep. She didn't get a lot of sleep last night because of her worries for today—clearly her lack of sleep was rational considering where she was now.
"Okay, it's time for your dinner." Sophie says to her. She wakes with a jump, looking up to see her standing over her. Enid follows her out of the room. It looked exactly like what she remembered from four years ago. The worst part was seeing how many people were here, girls and boys alike. There were at least thirty of them, ready to be "fixed". Her dinner was bland and unhealthy. Some fries and chicken nuggets with a few pieces of carrots and a small portion of beans. A toddler's dream, but obviously not a sixteen-year-old's ideal meal. She chokes the food down, forcing herself to finish it. She would need all the energy she could get to force her way through this experience. They then present her with a piece of paper, which was a new thing they probably did.
Write down three things you could improve about yourself. There is one expected answer.
1.
2.
3.
Enid isn't sure what to write, but she knows what they want her to say, so she leaves it blank and folds it up, then hands it back to Sophie. She immediately unfolds it, and inhales slowly after seeing that it is exactly how they had given it to her. "This is very disappointing." She tells her. "I'm allowed to do this now." She puts the paper on the table next to her, then grabs Enid's arm and takes her back to her room. She slaps her, and then leaves. The numb feeling spreads all through her—it all reminded her of her mom. She didn't think that they were going to hit her, she just thought they might take her breakfast away for the next couple of days. That's what used to happen, so she hadn't expected something like that to occur. She was pretty sure everything about this place was illegal, but then again, so was wilderness camp. And yet parents would still pay to have their children taken in the middle of the night. This was slightly different but just as bad. She starts mumbling her favourite song to herself as she lies down. It was the song she would always listen to, the one always on her playlists. She felt the tears run down her cheeks and start to soak the pillow as the words gently came out.
"Look at me, look at me, look at me, look at me, look at me, look at me, look at me, look at me. Because I exist, I exist, I exist, I exist, I exist, I exist." It was a soft song which reminded her of the stolen glances at Wednesday back before they started dating. It made her remember them curled up together, and of how easily she was swallowed up by Wednesday's hoodie. 'I Exist I Exist I Exist' by Flatsound was one of the most wonderful songs she had ever listened to. It took all of the numbness and pain away, and it would replace those feelings with memories of the better times. She felt the pillow getting wetter and wetter under her cheek, as she continued to quietly hum along to the music playing in her head. "I remember the way you shook, it's a shame that we're not soulmates, 'cause if I didn't know better, I'd say this feels pretty good." She whispers. It comes out with small whimpers due to her crying. Eventually, with a lot of quiet humming and singing (and obviously some sobbing), she drifts off.
It feels like only a moment later that she hears a knock on her window. She groggily sits up and turns on a lamp so she could see properly. Enid rubs the grogginess out of her tired, red eyes and she gets out of bed, only to see a pale face with browny-black eyes staring at her. A smiles instantly worms its way onto her face once she realises that it's not a dream and her girl really did come to rescue her from this modern hellscape. "Weds?" She whispers, still unable to believe what's happening. She hopes she can hear Enid through the window.
"Hello, mia lupa." A small smile decorates her face as she makes no effort to be quiet, letting happiness engulf her for once. "I can pick this lock, give me a minute." Her hands appear from below the frame of the window, and she sees two small objects, one in each hand. Enid had gifted her that lock-picking kit for Christmas, and it had finally come in handy. She was proud of herself for once. And as the latch unlocked and she pushed the glass outwards, she felt the fresh air hit her face. Enid picks her bag up and climbs through the opening. She drops the pack and throws her arms around Wednesday, not letting the tears spill just yet. "Hello, my sweet girl." Wednesday says, wrapping her arms around the lycan. "I came as quickly as I could." She tells her, letting go but keeping hold of her arms. "My parents are here to take you back with us."
"Let's go." Enid says shakily, feeling slightly unable to form a full sentence from the shock of what has just happened. She sees a ladder and hears Gomez shushing Pugsley from behind the fence, and so she doesn't hesitate to throw her bag over the fence and climb over first with the psychic at her heels, ready to protect her from any single thing.
"Enid!" Morticia rushes towards her and she gives her a once-over for any damage, then sees Wednesday behind her, and she smiles at them both. "We knew we had to come and do something." Wednesday stands next to the werewolf, holding her bag. Most of Enid's things were still at Nevermore anyways. She smiles back at her girlfriend's mother, and then slowly starts walking towards the car while Wednesday holds her hand. They both gt in the back, and she leans on the other girl's shoulder, finding immense comfort in this moment. She really did love her. Not a lot of people would be willing to do what she had done—they would just wait for her. Because life was just about waiting, but when you were with Wednesday Addams, it was about you and her.

Chapter Text
"Hey everybody, I'm so sorry for the long wait for this stream, but I'm finally back!" She has set up the computer and the camera, and has decided that today's stream will be her playing Planet Coaster. "Today, we're playing this game, which I've wanted to for a while, but life got in the way." The blue loading screen pops up on the screen with her face camera in the corner.
SHES BACK YESSSSS
WELCOME BACK ENID <333
WHY WERE YOU GONE FOR SO LONG :(
"I was gone because I was dealing with some of the online hate I was getting, but yes, before any of you ask, me and Wednesday are dating." She smiles, watching her fans get excited in the chat.
I KNEW IT
im so happy for you two!!!!!!!
You guys are so cute tg
oh my gawsh
"Thanks everybody. She isn't here right now but maybe at the end, you guys might catch h—" Enid is cut off by the sound of their dormitory door opening up, revealing a pale girl standing there, making the lycan grin so that her canines stick out, just the way Wednesday loved it.
is your gf here
wednesday's back chat
clipping ts
"Oh, hey, Wednesday. I thought you weren't gonna be back for ages. I can stop streaming if you want me to." Her chat is scrolling by as fast as lightning, freaking out that they might actually get a guest appearance from the psychic.
"No, do not worry. Maybe we could do a question-and-answer stream, if you want to?" She hasn't stepped into the frame of the camera, but the microphone is definitely picking her monotone and yet entrancing voice up.
"Yeah, sure!" She says, closing the game window and switching the cameras around: the view of this one shows more of the dorm, and she moves it over to her bed with the laptop. "I'll play Planet Coaster another day, chat." She sits down, setting everything up carefully as her girl approaches and sits down next to her.
Q&A GUYS ITS OUR LUCKY DAY WAIT THAT RHYMED
YAYYYY
WOOOO
WHEN DID YOU START LIKIGN EACH OTHER
"I started liking her around two weeks after she joined Nevermore." Enid says, leaning back and getting swallowed up by the raven's arms. She looks up at her while Wednesday looks down, and they kiss each other quickly.
"I started to like Enid around the same time." She sighs, squeezing her gently in her arms. "If only we both knew. I only began to date Tyler so that I was able to talk to her more."
"Really?"
"Yes, but at least he was captured. And now he's rotting in Willow Hill, fortunately for us." A dark smile appears on her roommate's face as she happily carries on reading through more questions.
why did you really take a break? This seems to be one of the most prominent questions, so Enid decides that she needs to tell the truth. Sometimes honesty and vulnerability really worked out, and it could show her audience that it was okay to take a break until they felt better.
"I will tell you the truth about why I was gone." She says, inhaling in preparation—for what? she wasn't sure. "I dealt with a lot of hate online after people realised I was dating Wednesday. I started up some really bad habits, but I stopped after a little while. My mom doesn't support people like us, so she sent me to conversion therapy, but I was rescued in the same day." She leans further into the psychic's arms, tears appearing in her eyes as she remembers everything that had happened in the past few weeks.
enid no :(
you should've said smth soonre
#hateforenidsmomclub
I'm so sorry that you had to go through all that
The support from her community is almost overwhelming, and she does not regret her decision one bit. "Any more questions?" Wednesday asks, holding her tighter and kissing the top of her head.
why did you see your mom if she was so unsupportive
"It was Parents' Weekend. I was trying to give her a chance, and I thought she had changed from when I was younger. Unfortunately, she had not."
"But luckily for us, my family loves Enid, and now the school is informed of her misdeeds, and so whenever she needs to go home for the holidays, she can come to us as her legal guardians. Also, her mother will not be coming back to Nevermore for any more Parents' Weekends." Enid smiles, happy to hear the news again and again. Spring break was coming up, and she would be going to Wednesday's house and staying with her.
enid you got a good one
thats so nice of her family
wednesday when she comes to your house what do you plan to do when you're home alone tg
"I don't know about Weds, but I plan on making out with her." How casually this comes out of the werewolf's mouth shocks the raven and she actually shows some colour on her face for once. "Aw, I love it when she gets all flustered."
flirt x flustered sunshine x grumpy polar opposites and they were roommates is all their tropes btw
FLUSTERED WEDNESDAY?
enid how are you so casual abt that
OMG the flirting on stream is crazy
imagine how they are when they are alone if theyre like this rn
"I think we've answered all the questions." Enid says, still reclined in Wednesday's arms. "Bye, chat." She ends the stream, making sure she clicks the right buttons this time. She moves the laptop back onto the desk, leaving her girlfriend momentarily to regain her speech.
"So, that was... fun." Wednesday says, a hint of red still haunting her cheeks. Enid sits down with her, wrapping her arms around her waist slowly. Her roommate gets the hint and leans in to kiss the lycan, and they slowly start lying down, with Enid on top of them. She trails her kisses slowly down to her neck, scraping her with her canines. She starts gently biting her neck, kissing her, doing whatever she can think of. Small sounds escape the psychic girl's mouth, but the lycan can tell she's holding back so nobody else hears them.
"Enid, what if someone hears us?" She stops for a second, hesitating.
"I can stop if you—"
"Do you want someone to hear us?"
"Kind of?"
"Then carry on."
The wolf takes her orders, and she hears a lot more than she ever thought she could. Her name being said in something that definitely was not a monotone voice meets her ears when she moves her knee into a different position.
When they wake up the next morning, Wednesday is entangled with her roommate, and Enid wakes up, hearing the buzz of her alarm under the pillow. "Oh, shit." Her girl's neck is covered in purple marks and small bites, more than makeup could fix. And today was a Monday, there would be lessons to attend. She did have a few turtlenecks, but Enid wasn't sure she if would want to wear one.
"Huh?" Wednesday groans in a croaky morning voice.
"Your neck is... Well, here." She hands over her phone with the camera app open so that she can see the state of herself after the events of last night, no matter how enjoyable it was.
"Oh. I—how are we going to fix it?" Wednesday asks, eyes etched with worry. "I can't go to class like this."
"Turtleneck?"
"All of them are drying."
"Oh, shit. Shit, shit, shit, shit."
"Enid, calm down. I can cover some of it with your makeup and say the rest are from fencing, or something along those lines."
"Okay." She hears more faint buzzing from her phone, but she knows she hasn't set any other alarms.

"Who's that?" Wednesday frowns.
"Yoko. I told her about this whole thing. She heard us last night anyways." She puts her phone down and heads over to her desk. "C'mere. I need to try and cover it up." Reluctantly, the psychic gets out of bed, and sits down in the chair. The mirror gave her a full view of last night's activities.
"I didn't expect your canines to do such damage." She tells Enid, who is trying to find a pale enough colour for Wednesday so that her neck doesn't look like it has been spray tanned. Finally, she finds one, which is completely unused. She begins to use the brush on her neck, and surprisingly it is working quite well. Until she starts squirming in her seat.
"What's wrong, Weds?" Enid stops, and so does the squirming. "Wait. Are you ticklish?" The werewolf grins, sticking her canines out, looking incredibly pleased.
"I am merely upset that so much colour needs to be applied to my neck." Stubborn. But the other girl could work with that. She carries on doing the makeup, pretending not to notice her moving around so much, every once in a while lightly brushing against her neck with the bristles just for good measure. After a few more minutes, it seems to have completely worked.
"Okay, it's done. Just make sure not to get your neck wet somehow. Or you'll have weird purple patches showing, depending on where the makeup comes off." She says as Wednesday looks at herself in the mirror.
"You did well. Just maybe not as good as you did last night." The raven casually says this, not even looking at Enid, whose blood has instantly rushed to her face. She glances up at the girl with the multi-coloured hair, and Enid could swear that she was holding back a smile at how flustered she was making her. Or maybe she was just holding back more flirty comments. At least they could go to class together now.

i hope we enjoyed
