Maybe, underneath the layer of respect that Megumi had consistently expressed for Yuuta, the one that had been there long before there was any confusion about souls and bodies, there was something that had been swept to the side. Uncultivated, unexamined. Gojo had always taken up so much of the sunlight before, Megumi couldn’t have tended to anything else. He hadn’t wanted to tend to anything else. But recently, when he lays in his bed alone and shadowed in the dusk, he does want… something.
And Megumi sees the way that they look at each other now. Gojo and Yuuta. How they look at each other, rarely speaking but with an unquestionable comprehension-
