The Gods Finally Got It Together

Summary:

A repeated weaving and unraveling of the fabric that always ended in white sand finally forced those of most high to step in and help. Mestinora's half-assed helping and secrets finally catch up to her. After the King and Queen finally give real consequences to their errant granddaughter they managed to negotiate with the Divine Source of all worlds to get a seat at a negotiation table of the Divine Source's most powerful, wise, and knowledgeable soul. A soul who has enacted change throughout all dimensions.

Notes:

This is a bit of a passion project for me. After reading the web novel (with Google translate), the light novels (thanks to 7 seas), and so many other fanfics I always felt like even with assistance Myne's personality is just not powerful enough to change the world in the way it needed to be changed to support an end to the never ending cycle of power craving. So I imagined it was repeated many times over. I imagine both Myne and Ferdinand repeated the cycle with and without memories a lot. I've tried to write fanfics before but I always lose my way after a bit. This time however, the story is so passion driven I know I will be able to keep going.

Chapter 1: The Game Begins

Chapter Text

Player 3 has entered the Game

I found myself once again in that space between worlds. Having successfully completed the mission given to me by Mirror Earth 2307 gods. Next should be the review of this world’s life. Where I could have done better and how to improve for the next incarnation I receive. I floated in the dark space, smiling in satisfaction at the life I had finally cobbled together after working on both my spiritual self and improvement of others spiritual selves. I lived a fulfilling life for almost 93 years. When I passed the children I birthed, their children, my children's chosen partners, and my own chosen partners surrounded me.

I had lived a good fulfilling life, and knew that I had made an indelible mark upon the world that would rocket that dimension to becoming yet another spiritual powerhouse in the fight of the Divine Source against the true evil that lurks, wanting to destroy Source.

The transition to the review area was taking much longer than usual. In fact, normally by the time my spirit vessel expired and the spirit was released I was already in the viewing room. Yet, this time I seemed to be floating in a sort of purgatory.

“Am I being given a vacation finally?” I mumbled to myself aloud.

Normally there was no need to give voice to thought in this space, but the silence was deafening to me and made me slightly concerned. While I had complete faith in Source, my missions are normally quickly reviewed before I am sent off to change another Earth. It was in contemplation of the differences between this time and all the other times I have finished a mission.

“Did I leave incomp….”

Just as I was voicing a worry that I had never had before the darkness around me began to shift. The space around me began to lighten, until it was a blinding white. I was surrounded by white everywhere. Then a video screen arrived, or was it a type of scrying medium. Honestly, I wasn’t so sure about that fact. But I intently watched the many lives of one soul, and the immense trauma that was laid upon that soul. Over and over again the young soul tried to fix the world she found herself shunted into.

The poor child died so many times and times when she was able to fulfill her life, watching the world she had tried to change, over and over, again and again, be destroyed and collapse into white sand. It was that moment as I watched the end of this world happen, many times over, that I realized that this poor young soul was totally not equipped or even trained properly to fight what was before her. I saw the black withered destructive hand reach down to that world over and over again destroying it.

At the beginning of all this a tiny spark of suspicion had started to grow. Now as I watched this scene over and over, the same cycles repeating, I knew where my next destination was supposed to be. Yet, something is different. I'm normally not given any information about a world prior to descending into it and figuring out the change, as the lights of the most recent destruction of this world faded away, it was replaced by seven people gathering.

“This…is new.” I quirked an eyebrow at the gods before me.

They were definitely gods, I had met with many, travelled with many, and in some worlds had even ascended to godhood. However, I knew all of the god souls in the dimensions governed by Source.

The man who sat highest addressed me from his gilded throne. His hair was dark as pitch, red pupils shined eerily from eyes that were both black and rainbowed color. It reminded me of the time I had an oil leak from my car, the way the oil glistened in beautiful colors in the sun. In this moment I was utterly captivated. The man before me; his very bearing screamed Emperor.

“Carlienandric, we know you must be slightly confused by this. However; we have negotiated this opportunity to ask for assistance in this matter from Source.” His voice was gentle, and I was grateful for the non-condescending tone in which I was addressed. However; my position left little to the imagination on how I may be viewed by these foreign gods. I thought for a moment, with a slight tilt of my head.

“This position is not conducive to mutual negotiations or asking for a favor.” It was a simple statement of fact that cut straight to the point. There was about to be a riot, but it was quelled easily and quickly by the one next to him. Where the man was darkness incarnate, she was the light.

A golden halo shimmered around the woman, her very aura enveloped me, a soothing balm for my irritated soul. Her hair was as bright and shimmering as the early morning sun, and her eyes sparkled in moon-like golden hues. It was at that moment that I felt a small portion of Source’s energy and knowledge flooded me.

‘Well fuck’ I thought, as everything around us dissolved and suddenly we were all seated at a round table. A mischievous smile flitted across my face, before I schooled my features. ‘This is about to be the most interesting thing that has ever happened to me before’

Chapter 2: Negotiations are difficult with children

Summary:

Calienandra finds themselves piecing information together. Completely pissed off by all the information that they are finally able to parse out.

Thanks for reading!
This chapter was written because I couldn't sleep last night and so I wrote instead. If it's a little off or doesn't make sense please let me know. I often find it difficult to get my ideas on paper.

Chapter Text

There I was surrounded by gods of unknown name and origin. If I hadn't had the experiences of the many lives I had led before I am sure that I would have cowed from the exerted pressure. However, I say in my chair with the authority of a god myself. No, I exuded the aura of an Emperor of gods. I matched the vampiric looking god in both aura and confidence.

The only sounds around us were the soft whispers of servants attending us. The servants themselves seemed to be minor gods. Each had a fraction of power that related to the seven before me. The silence dragged on as I drummed my fingers upon the table. It was difficult not to show my impatience. A slight character quirk I had picked up in my most previous incarnation. I cleared my throat looking expectantly at the bottomless pit god and the sun goddess.

“Let us at least maintain a slight bit of decorum and traditions that would be fit for such a meeting” A woman spoke, her hair was as deep auburn.

‘She exudes a warmth that feels like a welcome home hug’ I thought to myself. Her body was also the perfect ideal of a goddess. Her hour glass figure was wrapped in deep reds and white, accentuating her body's curves. Yet her bearing made me feel no attraction, yet there want to lay my head in her lap and cry as she stroked my hair.

“Well that is different” I could feel the curiosity rising in me about this woman. However; I barely saw the man move. I felt his attack coming in a blink, I was able to flip myself quickly out of harm's way using qiqong techniques.

“Ewigeliebe!”

“My Lord!”

“Husband”

The rousing cries filled with a mixture of emotions, least of all being outrage. The man was just pure white. A pure as fresh fallen snow; yet deep inside those eyes was a barely contained linger madness.

“I am sorry. It was such an important meeting and as it is currently not his season, his control is much weaker. Forgive him please!” The beautiful auburn woman had rushed to embrace the white man.

“Geduhl” A number of voices cried. I was really confused by the deference I was being treated with. Things weren't matching or adding up in any way for me.

“Ok. I am not mad…” I decided to fall back on the lives I had lived as royalty. I had worn both dragon and phoenix robes in my past.

“Let's us enjoy our tea and have a calm discussion of what you need to tell me”

I returned to sitting in my seat and picking up the tea cup. I was sad to not blow away the tea leaves so I could divine the answers to my questions. An audible sound of relief escaped some of those around. We all got resettled as tea and snacks were served.

“We are the king and queen of a land or world as you may call it. Its name is Yurgenschmidt and this is the last chance we have to save it.” The Sun goddess spoke. Between her and the vampire god I was able to piece together a horrifying story.

My laughter echoed in the stark halls that surrounded us. These gods were freaking babies. They left the damn nest too soon and have royalty screwed the pooch. It was rare to see gods easily fooled by power hungry mortals but here it is. These baby gods were trying so hard to fix it though. Heck they even reached out to Source to borrow my services.

“Y’all are idiots. You have done this to yourselves. Not just by ignoring the mortals you tasked to protect your garden but by also ignoring the obvious symptom of the problem by reduced prayers. Argh!” I frustratedly rubbed my head. These gods were way too human with their emotions. ‘Well maybe not Vampy and Sunshine’

“Vampy?” The vampire god tilted his head at me.

“Sunshine?” Said the beautiful sun goddess.

“Well pale, black hair, red eyes, pointy teeth equal. Vampire. So yes. Vampy. Well, sunshine is of course because your aura is as bright as sunshine, any lady.”

I am not sure white both Vampy and Sunshine smiled at me in the most kind and gentle way.  I wanted to raise my alertness levels but those smiles put me at ease.

“Alright. So you want me to help Rozemyne and Ferdinand take over the country?”

All 7 shook their heads. Their melancholy looks towards me had my eye twitching. What was with this mood?

“This will be the last attempt. It is our hope that with your thread added to this final weave will stabilize it.” A woman with hair the color of a field of ripe wheat glistening in the autumnal sun spoke up. I crossed my arms over my chest at the silence following whom I assumed was Schutzaria; all thanks to that torrent of memories.

“Then why did you request me?” I took a sip of the tea and was pleasantly surprised by the floral oolong scent that wafted from the steam. ‘Are those chrysanthemum cakes? I do love chrysanthemum cakes.’

I took a chrysanthemum cake taking a small bite, before setting it down in disappointment. It was good but nothing compared to Zao Jun and his team's food. I should visit them after this job is over. It has been a while since the Jade Emperor and I drank together.

I realized everyone was watching me and lifted a brow.

“Please help us. I spoke with my father and was able to receive this opportunity to negotiate with the ‘Savior’ ” Sunshine didn't change her face at all. It was completely blank with a fake ass smile. These idiots thought emotions were detrimental so they stifled them. While I understood the theory and detrimental nature of energies it wasn't the best course of action.

I winced at the nickname I had somehow managed to get because of a late night drinking session with Bast, Eris, Hecate, and Loki. Let's not acknowledge it for the moment.

“Are you repeating the same set of circumstances over and over again for a reason?” They had literally been repeating the exact same thing over and over. “The definition of insanity is trying the same thing over and over again; expecting different results.”

I could feel the anger welling up inside of me. The fundamentals of this world and their gods were baffling. I closed my eyes, taking a deep breath to settle my emotions. I could feel my Source powers gathering and flowing around me. These gods were not gods. They were children playing at being immortals. I knew what I needed to do, I just hadn’t decided if I wanted to yet.

“I want the full story. From the very beginning. The beginning of this world that was built and how you were so blind to ignore the signs of failure all around you.” With a snap of my fingers I manipulated their so-called god mana and had every soul involved in this arrive.

That blue haired hot head and his team mates exploded with outrage at my words. Yup. Kids.

“HOW DARE YOU BE SO INSOLENT!” The echoes of their outrage caused a ringing in my ears. The normal souls gathered seemed to tremble with fear as they were all forced to their knees by the pressure.

“Oy. Cool your head before I cool it for you. You lot of so-called Gods have pissed me off beyond what I have ever felt. You are not Gods you are run away children playing house, but people aren't toys. Not in any other world and they will no longer be toys in this one.”

I realized as I felt my Source power flood me and the room, what the actual mission was. ‘Damnit I have raised many into strong, capable, and wise individuals. This is the first-time I am parenting a pantheon of gods. Why the fuck am I so nice? I should just leave them. No. No. Source wants me to help if I think I can. Let's be honest I know I can fix this but the cost for the kids will be high’

A terrifying searing light, harsher than that of any barren wasteland. Yet around those mortal souls it was a balm. Soothing, loving, gentle…pure.

“You requested me. You asked me for help. I have no obligation to consent.”

It was then ‘Vampy’ and ‘Sunshine’ crossed their arms over their chest and bowed to me that everything swirled to normal. They were kids, runaways who cut themselves off from Source because of their fear. At that move all the rage dissipated from me. I was exuding Source energy, and I wrapped my arms around the two wayward children who were lost and distraught. I ruffled their heads and winked.

“I will help you. However, your entire domain will be scrubbed top to bottom; inside out. We shall start from the very beginning.”

I turned around to find the entire space filled with gods and souls kneeling to me in supplication.

‘Ah shit. Well you know what they say; go big or go home.’

Chapter 3: SSS: Short Side Stories

Summary:

Just small short stories that will be added every once and a while to show character responses to the main story as Calienandra continues to whip gods, nobles, and commoners into shape.

Chapter Text

Rozemyne POV

I was unsure of what was going on. One minute Ferdinand and I were about to finally tie our stars and the next I was in Tokyo library…with everyone.

“Bw’uah?!” There stood Urano’s mom and Shuu!? I felt tears fall from my eyes as I ran and embraced them. The three of us were shocked by our reunion. I could feel myself changing and becoming Urano.

“Mom, Shuu! I am so sorry. I am so sorry for not treasuring you.” I do not know for how long we were like than before I felt more hugs pile on top. I open my eyes and see Dad, Mom, Tuuli, Lutz, Benno, and even little Kamil. I cried even harder, as the hug circle expanded.

I don’t know how much time had passed as I hugged my family, all of my family. At some point Cornelius and Lamprecht got jealous. Which meant that Mother Elvira would not be out done. I devolved into a fit of giggles and basked in the warmth of the love of all of my families. This moment in my life. This had made the entirety of my second life worth it. I looked up at Ferdinand, reaching my hand out to him and yanked him into the cuddle pile I found myself the ooey gooey center of. This was all I ever wanted, to be surrounded by books and family.

====================================================================

Ferdinand POV:

The day I had waited for had finally arrived today. I was to Star Bind my All Goddess and be her pillar in this world. I, someone who once thought I was only worth being a feystone, was finally going to formally bind my stars to the woman who saved me. My one and only love is this life. I looked at myself in the mirror. Satisfied with the way I looked, I had started growing my hair out long ago. An idle comment my All Goddess made about men with long hair. She was surprisingly pleased the next day when she saw me with long hair. The way her face reflected Geduhl’s vibrant beauty was poetry brought to life.

“Justus, let us depart.” I turned on my heel followed by my entourage to meet up with Rozemyne. I waited patiently, hands clasped behind my back, for her appearance. I was not disappointed when I saw her. My brain could not form words, and the way she blushed and turned her face away made me blank. A throat was cleared.

“My Lady, My Lord. It is time” Justus’ words brought us out of our reverie and I moved to escort my Goddess. I barely registered it when right before the ceremony began everything went black.

Before I was able to gain my bearings I watch Rozemyne throw herself into the arms of an older woman and a young man. My gut clenched as the three sank down hugging and crying. When her commoner family joined in, followed by Elvira and her brothers I was unsure of how to react. Yet my all Goddess looked at me with sparkling eyes reaching out for me. I took her hand and was unceremoniously pulled into the shameless circle of physical contact. Oddly enough tho I didn’t dislike it at all.

It was Rozemyne’s cry that pulled me out of basking in the warmth of others.

“No! I didn’t get to read a single book!” I groaned as the scenery changed around us.

Chapter Text

Fury…nah that really doesn’t cover what I’m feeling at this moment. Disappointment, ehhhh maybe, but I have to keep reminding myself that they are children. I decided to gather everyone into a modern day lecture auditorium. The most adorable noise came out from Rozemyne, who looked oddly Japanese at the moment.

“Bw’ah!?”

Pretty sure I just watched everyone around her try to become one with the floor. I tried to stifle a chuckle, but as old as I was I earned the right to act how I pleased. Especially since I had the baby gods on my right, ordered by rank naturally. I then strategically placed the mortal souls on my left. Them I arranged in order of how bad they fucked in the past. Oddly enough I put the treacherous power hungry Zent before Veronica. It was a close tie for me. Like Jack the Ripper versus the Roman Empire. Terrible analogy I know, but I really didn’t know how to weigh evil. Normally I just let karma handle it but…considering the way this stupid dimension is set up I am literally gonna have to start from scratch. Then directly in front of me, with front row seats to the whole action is Rozemyne and her soul-fam crew. Honestly I’m a bit star struck. The cycle of repeating the same events, albeit with different circumstances each time, but still the same rescue the fucking world quest could destroy even a Celestial Immortal. Yet this girl, abused and manipulated like a toy by these baby gods, somehow maintained the most kind and beautiful soul. I turned my head, narrowing my eyes at the gods, who seemed to fidget and look away. I did not feel vindicated in this; I have decided I will give Vampy and Sunshine the lecture they have needed for millennium.

I looked at all the gathered souls before me that literally spanned the creation of this place. Fixing shit is a work in progress and I have got to start narrowing it down.

“Wentuchte, Dregarnuhr; I need you to find your earliest discarded weave that you can find. The closer to creation it is, the easier. It is to give opportunities to those who wish to change. Those who had the guidance to change and spurn the chance shall never reincarnate upon the cycle again in this world and must cultivate their mana from scratch to even access it again in other dimensions.” My voice held an ethereal authority.

I knew everyone was watching me and listening to my every word. I mean I obviously am in a higher position than their gods. Those in the highest position of power are always looked at no matter where they go. Some are awed by them, others revile them, some see them as an object they can possess, while others may feel for their plight. However, no matter how one feels towards a person in power. Everyone always listens to the words they speak.

I saw the young goddesses check with their respective Masters; once the confirmation nod happened they literally fled from me. ‘Come on, I’m not that scary am I?’ I mean I know I have a kind of presence about me, but is it that scary? I glanced about in thought, noticing people avoiding my gaze. Except for Ferdinand and Rozemyne, he with his stern expression and she with her gentle smile. Would it be uncouth if I just fan personed over them? ‘Yes, very uncouth.’ I decided. Lost in my staring contests with the heroes of the world a gentle throat clearing was heard. ‘Wait I know that throat clearing. Awww come on!’

“My dearest Shizi. Please be conscious of your murderous intent.” Labianac approached me with his ever present neutral smile, that literally sent shivers down my spine. ‘Murderous intent? Me? You old braggart, you're the one with murderous intent.’ Of course there was also a steaming cup of tea with the lid still on and I got super excited. I cleared my throat gracefully before casually sitting in a four clawed dragon throne, conjured behind me for effect of course. For some reason I felt much calmer after sitting, as Labianac handed me my cup of tea. I smiled as I lifted the lid and watched the tea leaves scatter as I used the lid to cool the tea.

“Labianac, what a pleasant surprise. Just as the tree sleeps in slumber, you too must have sensed the early spring upon the horizons.” Now to find out if he was ordered to be here or snuck off on his own.

“When a fresh sprout bursts forth from the soil that kept it safe, do not I as the gardener need to continue watering the sprout so that it can continue to grow unimpeded by obstacles?” Got it. He totally snuck out and the Emperor has no clue. Eh, not my problem. Now that he is here I’m putting him to work.

“Ahem. Gods, Goddesses, Lords, Ladies. Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Calienandric. I have been given the golden opportunity to assist in restructuring your home of Yorgenschmidt. Yet I need you to understand something: this may be an opportunity for me but it is for each of you as well. This is a chance to fix the problem at its source. There are souls here who are tired. For without their permissions these souls were thrust into the world to save it. They were expected to fix a problem that they didn’t even know existed. It is not these souls' faults that the mission didn’t succeed. It is the fault of those who failed to give them the tools they need. Evil is most dangerous when it lurks inside us. When its voice whispers in the dark. When you are the most susceptible. So I shall give each of you the opportunity to change your course. You have until now until the next bell rings. Until then we shall proceed with business.

This…” I paused my speech to motion to Labianac. “This man is Labianac, consider him my head scholar and attendant.”

“That’s how real nobility talks, Ferdinand! Those euphemisms are much easier to understand.”

I can not react. She is literally the most adorable soul I have ever seen. Ah yes I definitely see her resemblance to a schumil. I snapped out of my admiration as the oldest discarded weave was sent in front of me.

“Great work you two. I know it wasn’t easy. Now let’s take a look.” I reviewed the fabric, and felt my mouth go dry. Said errant thread was a man, hair black with a satin sheen, strong and imposing aura. Wielding mana without a tool to assist, using inner force to fight with Rauchelstra. When she inevitably lost, the man did not kill her, he banished her. He was an amazing Zent and if the world had continued with him instead the whole future wouldn’t have happened. Yet Rauchelstra was relentless, she made it to the garden of beginnings, used her mana to rampage then KABOOM.

“Ah shit.” I cursed well that was not anything of what I was expecting. I needed someone to use as a sounding board. Smart people who can keep up with my thinking. Slowly I slid my eyes back to Rozemyne and Ferdinand. I don’t know what they both tensed. I just get to banter with my idols for a bit.

“Excellent idea! Ferdinand, Rozemyne please come up to the stage to engage in world saving discourse!”

“What?” They both seemed a bit stunned. Was that really that out of the blue? I wonder.

Chapter 5: Wait...YOU'RE GONNA DO WHAT NOW?!

Summary:

Calienandric takes the first steps to do what they feel is necessary to fix the weave and find out just how much they need to fix those crazy god kids.

Chapter Text

I grinned at Rozemyne, she’s so cute. Eh, well I’ve always been a bit of an oddball that obsesses over cute things. My last life was filled with Squishmallows, Kawaii Core, and anime plushes. ‘Oooh can I get a side kick?’ Thoughts of Ranga, Tomoei, that freaking adorable nine tailed fox, or maybe a black panther like that jungle queen lady with the red hair. I noticed at that moment that there seemed to be an errant thread in the tapestry I was studying. What an oddity. This wasn’t a new soul that was trapped by the barrier. This was a soul like Rozemyne’s although he seemed to be from a different Earth dimension. One of my first world-saving missions that had been tasked to me. I wondered if I knew this thread.

“Excuse me, this thread, how did you end up fixing the weave with it?” I asked Wenuchte.

“We had to remove the thread completely…we hadn’t been able to find any weave to put that thread until we were able to add it by Liedenschaft giving a strong blessing to the thread.” That actually made quite a bit of sense to be honest. Fighting spirit to have the strength to stay in the weave. It felt like that soul kept trying to escape, I wonder what it was fighting for…or maybe against.

“So we will need to unravel the threads beginning, remove it, and begin again?” I tossed her the weave.

“That really isn’t possible. That errant thread is all that’s left of its complete essence without Liedenschaft’s blessing.” Wenuchte seemed a bit nervous while telling all this to me.

“Well that is a bit disappointing. Then we will need to start a whole new weave from the very beginning. I know this will be a very difficult task. However, I know that you and all those who help the weave become the most beautiful of tapestries, will do your very best to make that happen. A masterpiece of art that all Gods across all the dimensional planes will sing praises about its beauty.”

The weaving Goddess in front of me actually began to sparkle. Her eyes shined with a light that only paled in comparison with Sunshine. However, seeing her become so proud of herself, just from my encouraging words really left a bad taste in my mouth. Ugh. Children should not be trying to raise children.

“Rozemyne, Ferdinand. I know that it truly is a struggle the two of you have lived. No one deserves to have anything like this thrust upon them without their regard or their consent.” I looked upon Rozemyne and thought of everything I could.

“While I would absolutely love for the two of you to have a nice vacation. I will be perfectly honest and tell you, that if those souls or threads, as is the common vernacular here. If those threads make the same decisions as they did in the past, the world will not be able to be saved without the two of you.”

Ferdinand honestly looked like he wanted to punch me. At least he didn’t look like a face hitter, it’s hard to charm people with a messed up face. The murderous intent rolling off of Ferdinand would give lesser gods pause.  After this, I am definitely recruiting those two to join the team.

“I know it’s a bother. I know it’s troublesome. However, I will be there to guide and assist you. So I hope that while I am starting a whole new weave for your world, you will think about what type of compensation you would like as an agreement to assist me in this.”

“Excuse me, but uh…what happens if we say no?” Rozemyne asked bravely.

I schooled my features as much as possible, squealing and squirming with ‘mo is not an option right now. I will have plenty of time to do so if they accept. Right now. Let’s get them to accept it.

“Well to be honest, if the pantheon of Jurgenschmidt gets-”

“You said it right this time. Good job!” Did…I just get praised by my idol? Wait, how am I supposed to respond to something like that. Play it cool. I’ll play it cool. So I just nodded in response and rolled my eyes at Labianac’s maniacal laughter. ‘That terrifying crazy old man. Is he trying to get me killed? I am definitely not coveting your wife Sir!’ I thought earnestly to Ferdinand who looked like he wanted to murder me right here and now.

“Ahem. Anyways, in answer to your question. Since their power is based on Jurgenschmidt, if it becomes permanent white sand everyone but Vam..the God of Darkness and Goddess of Light would disappear from this world. Every soul that originated in this world will also vanish. Think of it like deleting data off a computer. Once you erase something…even by accident. It is gone. Permanently."

This was something the god kids knew. Did they seriously not explain that to their so-called saviors? These damn kids keep fucking up and pissing me off. I frowned at the thought. If Rosemyne had known that, she would have never asked that question. I wanted to hug her because of how sad she looked. I wonder if she had forgotten that Urano’s mom and Shuu are standing right there beside her. Guess she didn’t realize anything odd about that. She’s so cute. Completely oblivious and oddly perceptive all in one go. I was like that a lot too in my earlier incarnations. Family is so important to those two, and yet look at their obliviousness about Urano’s people. Cute. I needed to find a way to protect those two.

The two could not be born into Ehrenfest again. Yet I also know that both of their hearts reside with their various families in Ehrenfest. It’s where Myne’s commoner family is and Rosemyne’s noble family. The only thing the gods had never tried was replacing their home duchy, and I am pretty sure I just came up with a brilliant idea. At the same time, there must be a reason why the two of them had to be in Ehrenfest. Hmmm maybe I should think about that while I’m inserting myself into their theology. It’s troublesome to be a god or gods avatar, especially when you weren’t even given a ‘voluntold’moment even.

I may say I’m giving these souls a chance, but only the uncorrupted souls would be able to actually change their path. No matter how many chances you give people, some of them just never change. I could tell at a glance that the Zent Queen and Veronica would never change. Not that I wouldn’t give them a chance. I said I would, but the way they perceive it is their own to do. Free choice and consent matter on all levels. Something I need to teach these silly kids. I turned my head to look at Sunshine and Vampy. They really are good kids. They are trying so hard to do the right thing. Considering Sunshine’s family and their opinion on Vampy it doesn’t surprise me the two ran away. They, their friends, and all of the group's attendants ran away and made their own place. They really didn’t plan for mortal souls to start showing up, the problem is once souls get in they are stuck because of the barrier around this world. I need to convince those kids to join the Dimensional Ruling Council. They really can’t stay isolated like this.

“What exactly is your plan?” Ferdinand asked me, with suspicious eyes.

“Wait and see, Ferdie. Wait and see.” I ruffled his hair fondly before getting to business.

I walked my happy ass over to the god-kids, scanning for the young trouble maker. Found her hiding behind Lidenschaft. Heh. Sorry to be the consequences of your actions, Mesti. However, I probably also wouldn’t have the opportunity to try a wild idea like this ever again. I could feel my grin getting bigger as I approached. I don’t know why everyone except Vampy and Sunshine was suddenly nervous. In fact, except those two, the young Mestinora was hidden behind all of Leidenschaft’s subordinates. I’m not dangerous damnit. I mean sure I’m a bit of an odd ball but really are those threatening looks really warranted? I sigh, watching the circles of defense tighten around her. I slipped between their defenses and grabbed both of Mesti’s hands.

“Do not worry sister. I as your big sibling shall protect you!” I was so happy my cheeks were twitching from my enormous smile.

“Bw’uah?” That broke me and I cackled madly. I was really excited to do something no one else had ever done. I was gonna rewrite a Pantheon Mythology and insert myself in it.

Notes:

Thank you to all of you who are supporting this fic.
Honestly it became a passion project of mine as I kept writing a novel with this premise but had difficulty creating my own world to fit it in.
You can usually expect an update somewhere between the following 24 hours of the previous chapter post. Sometimes you'll get more some days I may be unable to update at all.
Within the past 7 months I have been able to resonate more with Rozemyne due to my various physical health issues that have left me bed bound.
This project has not only helped me with writing my book but has also helped me with my mental health by giving me things to focus on that are not my deteriorating health.

Chapter 6: It Starts

Summary:

Cal begins doing what they do best. Time to enact the plan

Notes:

Sorry it took me so long to get this posted. It's been a struggle health wise for me since last I posted. Anyways I'm going to try to post at least another chapter tonight but it may be tomorrow. Thanks for reading. Enjoy!

Chapter Text

I held out my hand, I gripped the spiritual chalk that was placed in my hand by Labianac.

“Will you need assistance with the array Shizi?” I shook my head in response. While the typical spiritual arrays for rewriting time could be applied here, I was going to have to come up with something on the fly. Especially since I had to incorporate the magic circles of the 7 main pillars. Since I had been able to glean the theory of magic in this world, I had to admit that it was a pretty unique idea to maintain a steady flow of worshippers to supply them with power. In theory a pantheon is limited by the amount of worship it receives. However, to create such a symbiotic mutualistic relationship with their followers really was quite brilliant. Praying keeps the followers healthy and the gods empowered. However, without the occasional divine guidance I’m really not that shocked that their playground has been destroyed multiple times.

I continued to ponder about the magic system, and wondered if once I incarnated into a body I could use Eastern Philosophy to open up the meridians to allow for easier flow.

To be honest, who just lets a bunch of brand new souls settle in a playground and not check to see what is going on. These children, I’m sure they just figured this was how it was supposed to go. I could feel a subtle throb forming at my temples at the sheer amount of work. I’m definitely gonna go drinking after I finish this job.

I took a step back admiring my spiritual array. Looking at the magic circles from the king and queen as well as their pillar gods. In theory this should work, eastern and ancient philosophy on earth is the direct path to Source. Many of the worlds I had traversed relied on spiritual cultivation to attain immortality so that one could be closer to Source. After all, most people from the area called Asia are direct descendants of those ancient beings who created humanity.

“The theory is sound Shizi” Labianic said, removing the spiritual chalk from my hand.

“Hmmm” I gazed at the enormous magic circle spiritual array bastardization I had created and chuckled.

“Welp, got the theory now to put it into practice.” I said as I clapped my hands together once.

Mestinora POV

‘This crazy stupid arrogant human. How dare you call me sister.’

Mestinora was furious, she may look like a child, but she was The Goddess of Wisdom. It was she who helped these pathetic humans. She was simmering in fury as she watched with glaring eyes this so-called ‘Savoir’ that her grandparents had called. She could do this, she would save Earwarmen and her plan was flawless.

‘Use Myne to save the world. Use Quinta to save Myne’ it was a perfect flawless plan. Sure she had messed up a bit…and after getting caught by her grandparents they still allowed her to follow with her plan. Her grandparents always gave her what she wanted. She could hear that irritating creature prattling on as it drew on the ground in some sort of sparkling white powder. The powder drew her attention, there was mana…no something more powerful then mana was what caused the powder to shimmer and twinkle like brilliant stars in the night sky.

‘What the…’ Mestinora had never seen such pure and beautiful power before. She was mesmerized, then the circle itself drew her in. This…this was something way intricate than even the most intricate powerful circles in her book. It…it was taking power from outside.

“All right since you asked for help. I take that as consent so if all of you could stand on your own personal circle.” That ‘Savoir’ spoke again, when Mestinora looked up she could see something glimmering in those eyes. That glimmering sent a jolt of fear straight down her spine. It wasn’t a malicious or cruel sort of thing. It was a vastness beyond anything Mestinora could fathom. She could feel the power rising up and thrumming through each individual god and goddess. Her grandparents are in the middle, surrounded by her aunts, uncles, and both of her parents. Then from there all of the minor gods and goddesses surrounded the leader of their domain. Her grandparents opened their arms to her, and she ran to them. As she did, she became younger and younger. Until she was only a faint speck of consciousness in the massive magical circle beneath her.

Chaosipher POV

In the top floor of a tall white tower in the center of a barren land.

“What the fuck?!” A loud cry came from Chaosipher as she felt her prison tremble and quake beneath her. A massive amount of power was heading straight for her. The power even paled in comparison to her ‘love’ and that bitch. They were finally going to kill her for what she did.

“Well I guess the consequences finally caught up” She laughed maniacally as the power sped up, heading straight for her. She was blinded by a bright flash of light and a loud explosion, caused her prison to completely collapse. She could feel the crumbling beneath her, as the tower turned to dust and rubble.

“Whoops…I was too excited.” A melodious voice, of which she was unable to tell the gender spoke.

“Great right Shizi. You completely destroyed this woman’s home.” An elderly masculine voice responded to that beautiful chipper voice.

“I can fix it, that is if you want me to?” The dust has settled and the most powerful gaze she had ever felt, settled on her. Before her stood two…people? Maybe, there was no doubt that one of them was definitely a man. However, she could feel the other person couldn’t be so easily labeled. She was unsure of whether it was a man or a woman. This persona was the most radiant existence Chaosipher had ever seen. She was in awe, the power was overwhelming; she was getting excited.

This wasn’t a person, no…this was a being just like her. This was a creature of chaos, more powerful than any she had ever met before. Those eyes that shone like an abyss; held all the answers to the questions that Chaosipher had pondered throughout her entire imprisonment.

She had served the God of Darkness because of his power, but this being held more power than the God of Darkness and that bitch combined.

“Well, this certainly isn’t where I would want to welcome such esteemed guests.” For the first time in a long while. Chaosipher felt excited. She wondered what was going to change in her monotonous existence as she watched her prison, which should have been impossible to destroy, instantly rebuild around her.

“That should have been impossible.” She said.

“I do 10 impossible things before breakfast every day. Nothing is impossible.” The powerful chaos entity said to her. A glimmer of mischief sparkling in the being’s eye.

Ewigeliebe POV

He was fighting inside himself. His fingers were twitching to destroy, yet at the same time with his goddess next to him he was able to maintain slight control. He didn’t understand how he was welcomed to the table. He didn’t understand how he was sitting at a table filled with people who hated him, his child, and his goddess. He was so used to reliving the nightmare over and over again. Chaosipher's laughter rang in his mind. He knew he had been destroyed and corrupted. The only reason he was holding on is that there was a soothing energy surrounding him as well as his goddess’ mana. He couldn’t exactly figure out what was happening.

He was reliving those nightmarish days where he had been corrupted over and over again. He lived the torturous emotions of his failure everyday. His only reprieve was when his wife came to visit him in the winter. Only she was able to make the worst moments of his torture bearable. That was until she was forced to return to her family, once again in the spring.

He clung to his wife, like a child who lost their parents.

Everything was going on around him, but all he could do was soothe himself with the gentle mana that was generously given to him by his wife. His love for her, it was the only thread left connecting him to his sanity. While that thread may be frayed, it was still strong enough. It was still just strong enough for him to maintain a shred of his sanity.

He followed his wife to their shared circle, he couldn’t comprehend what was happening. He could feel the massive amounts of Source power. It was something he hadn’t felt since he had decided to follow his liege to make a safe place for him and his liege’s own goddess.

‘Wait? His liege? When did I have a liege?’ he thought to himself. He could feel the thrumming of Source energy, and realized

“We fucked up royally my liege.” he barely whispered those words, as clarity came slamming back into him. Yet he was alone, in a space of pure light. It made him feel as though the safe walls that were created by their own powers were rickety fences.

“Yeah. The group of you kids fucked up really bad. However, even when you mess up and run away. Even when you’ve mucked around with souls. Even when you’ve failed over and over again. The moment you reach out for help…your parents will always be there. Won’t they? My little brother?” Forgotten memories flowed through him. Memories of his childhood with Chaosipher, himself, and Bolenken. They were wild youths; growing up in a completely different world. His liege was the son of that god. His liege Bolenken; the son of Eurubus and Nyx was destined to take up the mantle of his parents, yet he fell in love with the daughter of the Heavenly Jade Emperor. How many worlds had died and been reborn since they, as foolish children, ran away because of love? Yet even now, even with everything he had gone through, he would still follow his liege.

There was, however, another existence. One that shined radiantly in his own mind. His older brother was about to marry Source’s youngest grandson. He could very much feel his older brother's energy coming from the young looking man, whom he was sure existed since Source released their spiritual sparks giving life to its own essences.

“Are you my in-law?” The youth smiled gently, and memories flooded in again.

‘Cal is a bit…mischievious. He is always running around here and there, fixing broken things. I  heard that Loki calls him The Savior.’ His brother laughed at this, but his eyes sparkled with admiration for his future partner.

‘Do you think he’ll settle down for you brother?’ He remembered asking this at that time.

‘Ha! I don’t want him to settle down. I love him for his wildness. Everyone needs a bit of chaos in their lives. It is what makes life interesting and fulfilling. I know I can convince him to have children as well. Cal loves little kids more than anything.’ The memory faded as Cal kept speaking to him.

“In theory, yes, I did marry your brother. We also have our own children…well they are off doing their own things now. Once I am able to connect this world to Source, I think our family would be very happy if you brought your lovely wife for a visit.”

“Yes. I..that would make me very happy.” He did miss his family.

“That’s good. Now it’s time for you to get some intensive hardcore therapy from a friend of mine.” Cal snapped his fingers and a beautiful ethereal being appeared.

“A Fae?” He asked in surprise.

“Oy. That’s a bit rude laddie.” The fairy said.

“I apologize.” He said softly.

“This is Dian and he’s going to help to fix you now. Dian I leave it to you!” Cal said as they faded away.

“Let’s get started shall we?” Dian transformed the area in a relaxing resting room. “Lie down on the couch and we will begin.”

He laid down on the couch as Dian began to ask questions about his parents. How exactly is this going to ‘fix’ him?
