Peter Parker has the most experience with the multiverse. The avengers don’t know this though.
After the whole dr strange fiasco, Peter had to make everyone forget that event ever happened. So poor Peter had to deal with the trauma of that event alone. Fortunately for Peter it lead to him being invited to the Spider Society. Which he was able to talk to almost any Spider-Man about his trauma. Since most of the experienced the same thing.
Peter would usually only leave for a couple hours or so and return like nothing happened. Tony Stark on the other hand was getting extremely worried. Peter’s tracker would be there one minute and gone the next, not matter how many upgrades or how he would rewrite the code for the tracker it seemed to always happen.
Every time Tony tried to talk to Peter he would be told the same thing.
“I don’t know what happens. You said that there is no way for me to remove the tracker or turn it off. “
Tony of course would believe him, Peter was the worst liar and Tony thought he knew when Peter was lying.
Tony decided to call an avengers meeting regarding safety and to discuss Peter’s disappearance on his daily patrol.
“Tones do we have another mission?” Rhodey asked.
“Nope. A certain Spiderling, has been going missing for a few hours almost everyday during patrol. “ Tony replied pointing a finger in Peter’s direction.
All the avengers turned to look at Peter who
was now blushing a furious red due to being confronted.
“What? I thought the trackers were have on us are unremovable and can’t be turned off. “ Clint asked.
“They’re meant to be put Pete has managed to find a way to remove it or Turn it off. “ Tony looked annoyed at this point.
“Care to explain Pete?” Tony asked.
“I don’t know.” Peter said sternly.
Natasha was looking at him trying to find any hint of him lying.
“Nuh-uh you do know. So spit it out” Tony said with his arms crossed.
“I’ve told you before I don’t know what happens I go out on patrol and fight the bad guys that’s it.” Peter replied. He’s always been a bad liar but when protecting the people he cares about he could lie undetected to a certain point.
“Peter somethings going on with you.” Natasha spoke up.
“I promise nothing is going on I have no clue why the tracker disappears. “ Peter said.
“Kid if you’re in trouble we need to know where you are so we can help but we can’t do that if you turn the tracker off. “ Clint replied.
“I know that.” Peter was getting anxious now. He knew if they found out they would 100% ground him.
Natasha was quick to pick up on Peter’s subtle fidgeting.
“You gonna tell us or are we gonna have to pry it out of you?”
“There’s nothing I can say. I don’t really know what you want me to say?” Peter said.
“Kid-“ Steve went to continue before getting interrupted by a light buzzing noise coming from Peter’s watch.
All the avengers turned to look at Peter who has gone pale. Natasha and Tony raised an eyebrow at the sudden noise.
Peter scrambled to suffocate the sound before someone in a Spider-Man suit popped up on a hologram.
“Peter Miguel’s lost it. He gone fucking insane. I’m sorry to do this on such short notice but looks like me and miles are gonna be dropping by in about 2 minutes.” The girl said before disappearing.
“What was that?”
“Why is she in your watch?”
“Who the hell is miles.”
“They’re coming here?”
All the avengers were bombarding Peter with questions he didn’t know how to answer.
“Shit” Peter said making all the avengers look at him in confusion, the pale boy was now back to normal but with a worried look on his face.
Before Peter had anytime to explain everything around them started to float and some sort of portal opened up. 2 people dropped down onto the floor beside Peter. The Portal quickly closed up and everything floating dropped.
The avengers sat there stunned at what happened and why there were now 2 more Spider-Man’s.
“Peter we need your help.”
“What the fuck is going on? And who the hell are you?” Tony yelled causing one of the Spider-Man’s to flinch.
“Tony stop.” Was all Peter said before pulling one of them into a hug.
“Jesus Pete I literally saw you the other day.”A Spider-Man said chuckling.
“I know I just missed you.” Peter said giving a shy smile.
“Ahem” Steve got out his mouth still looking stunned.
“Ah, right so, um I don’t really know how to explain it well but basically they’re from another universe.” Peter deadpanned.
“What?” Bruce asked shocked.
“The multiverse is real?” Tony’s mouth was basically on the floor.
“Yep. Before you all say anything else let me try to explain this the best I can. So a couple months ago there was a bit of an incident involving the multiverse and doctors strange had to cast a spell on the whole world to forgot it happened or else the whole universe would be destroyed. And because of this whole incident it brought other versions of Spider-Man here and there villains, and after the whole forgetting spell I got invited to join the Spider-Society!” Peter exclaimed.
“There’s more of you?” Sam wined.
“A lot more!” Peter said with a grin on his face.
“Right but that doesn’t explain why they are here.” Steve pointed out.
“That I don’t really know. “ Peter shrugged.
There was along pause before Tony spoke up.
“So What’s going on ? Why are you here and who are you?”
“Right sorry. I’m Lilly. Lilly Stacy. “ she said as she pulled off her mask.
“That’s Miles. Miles Morales, we kind of need Peter’s help.” Lilly said.
“What’s going on lil?” Peter asked.
“Right I know you and miles don’t really know each other but after you went home the other day Miguel flipped his lid and I mean he completely crashed out.”
“What! Why?” Peter shrieked. He couldn’t deny it, Miguel was scary.
“Well the idiot thought it would be a good idea to tell Miles his Dad was gonna die and that Miles wasn’t allowed to save him.” Lilly sighed.
“You’re joking.” Peter felt sorry for the guy.
“Who’s Miguel?” Natasha asked.
“Oh right sorry! He’s basically the founder of the Spider society. He created it after he destroyed a universe that wasn’t his by accident. “
That caught the avengers attention immediately.
“So he’s dangerous and he’s a multiversal threat?” Clint concluded.
“Dangerous yes but he wouldn’t destroy the multiverse intentionally .”
“How did he even do that?” Tony wondered.
“ He lost his wife and daughter being Spider-Man in his universe. So he found a way to travel between universe and replaced himself in another universe which he was already dead in, because of this that multiverse collapsed.” Lilly said casting her eyes down.
“Honestly I would do it too if I lost everything.” Miles said.
“So why are you running from him.” Tony said in a neutral tone.
“Tony.” Steve said
“You can’t just blurt that out. “ Steve scolded.
“Sorry. I’m just trying to get the facts right.” Tony said not looking an ounce sincere.
“It’s fine. And the answer to your question is Miles. He’s an anomaly. “
“Anomaly?” Bruce asked curiously.
Lilly sighed before continuing. “Yes. Miles was accidentally bitten by a radioactive spider from a different universe. Miles universe already had a Spider-Man so because there can’t be 2 Spider-Mans in some universes Miles Spider-Man died saving him. To restore the balance of his Universe.”
“Wait hold on so how the hell did miles get bitten by a spider from another universe?” Sam asked
“Some stupid scientists in his universe found a way to travel between universe and brought a radioactive spider to their universe and it somehow got out. “ Lilly said.
“Right okay.” Sam said
“This is so confusing!” Clint wined.
“Anyways, because the spider bit this miles it meant there’s a universe without a Spider-Man and that made Spot kind of? I’m not to sure how Spot came to be if I’m honest. “
“Who’s Spot?” Tony asked
“Some guy who got caught in a collider.” Miles said.
“Collider?” Lilly questions
“Yea when Spider-Man saved me he destroyed the collider and spot was a scientist near by who got caught in it.“ miles said
“Oh.”
“Yea.”
“Wait does Miguel know where you guys are?” Peter asked then tapping as his wrist.
“No ours are different they were made by hobbie so Miguel can’t track us or find us.”
Lilly said
“Oh! That reminds me! He made you one aswell!” Lilly said enthusiastically. Chucking it toward Peter.
“Thanks!” Peter.
“What the hell does that do?” Tony asked.
“I’ll explain it to you later Mr.Stark” Peter said
“So what do you need my help with?” Peter asked.
Lilly started fidgeting with her mask in her hand. “ well, we can’t go home. Miguel has our universes marked so he’ll know if we go back. I was kinda hoping we could stay with you Peter? Totally fine if not!”
Peter looked towards Tony who gave Peter a nod. “Yea that’s fine. But what happens if Miguel comes here?”
“He won’t. “ Lilly said
“How do you know that?” Steve asked.
“It’s better you don’t know.” Lilly said giving a slight smile and looking towards Wanda who knew exactly what she meant.
