“Hey hurry up, the movie’s about to start!”
Last night, Ochaco, Eijirou, and Kaminari (of course they dragged along Izuku, Shoto, and Katsuki. Iida demanded to come on account of his responsibility as the class president.) decided to have a movie night in Mina’s dorm, and honestly, it turned out to be one of the best nights they’d had in a while. Everyone brought their favorite snacks, some had bags of popcorn, others brought candy or chips, and they laid everything out on the small coffee table. The room looked cozy with fairy lights hanging from the ceiling and posters on the walls, making it feel like a little movie theater right in their dorm. They all mulled over what to watch, and after some back-and-forth, they settled on an old-timey Halloween film that promised to be fun and light-hearted.
As soon as the movie started, the room was filled with a sort of buzz, mostly quiet, but occasional whispers and giggles when something funny or exciting happened on the screen. Some friends sat on the bed or cross-legged on the floor; everyone seemed completely absorbed. During a hilarious scene, everyone burst out laughing at the same time, and Kaminari made a joke about how he’d probably trip if he were in one of those crazy action scenes. Everyone smiled, sharing the relaxing, happy vibe. Every few minutes, someone would get up to grab more snacks or offer some to another, and those little moments just made everything feel even more laid-back.
The best part was how everyone was into the story, cheering for the protagonist or joking about the monsters. When a tense part came, Izuku suddenly jumped at a loud noise, which made everyone burst out laughing and tease him for being so easily scared. Katsuki kept commenting about how he’d survive a zombie apocalypse, even when no one asked. The whole room turned into a little comedy club when Shoto suggested they watch some cat videos on his phone, which sparked a mini laughter riot. Everyone leaned in, watching silly clips, sharing their own funny stories, and just having a good time. That’s what made the night so special. The mix of movies, jokes, and just hanging out with friends.
When the movie finally ended, they spent a few minutes chatting about their favorite scenes, joking about who would be the first person to die in real life. They all agreed they should do this again soon, maybe pick a different movie or try a themed night. It was one of those nights where everything felt just right. Lots of laughter, good company, and that warm feeling of being with friends. Soon everyone began to head back to their rooms, attempting to stay quiet in the empty halls. Hopefully, the next movie comes sooner than later.
