Liam was excited about Abu Dhabi, not just because it was the last race of the season but because he could take part in Secret Santa. He was a big fan of Christmas and he was excited to see what present he had been given.
The day came for Liam to film his segment in Secret Santa. He opened up the present and was thrilled when he unwrapped a red Lightening McQueen car. He loved the film Cars and he didn’t care if it appeared like he was getting a little kids toy. It was a gift that he liked. The fact that it had been given to him by Oscar made it all the more better. He wouldn’t admit it but he had a crush on the young Aussie and had been excited to join Formula 1 because he knew that he would be racing alongside his crush.
The Kiwi decided to go and thank Oscar personally for his gift. It was Thursday night and the end of media day, Liam could only hope that Oscar was still in the paddock. He also hoped that he wasn’t interrupting debrief. Thankfully, he came across Kim once he had stepped into the motorhome. No one had batted an eyelid because it was somewhat normal for drivers to hang out with their rivals. It was the same with some of the drivers’ partners as they would hang out with one another in between practice sessions and so on.
Kim actually smiled at Liam.
“He’s in his driver’s room.” Said Kim.
Liam nodded gratefully.
“Thanks, I want to thank him for the Secret Santa gift that he got me.”
Kim chuckled.
“He put a lot of effort into that.”
Liam smiled.
“I’m glad.”
Kim laughed and Liam blushed. Thankfully, Kim left him to it and Liam went in search of Oscar’s room. Once he had come across the room, he let out a nervous breath then knocked on the door.
“Come in.”
Liam slowly opened the door and stepped into the room. Oscar was frowning up at the door but he smiled once he realised it was Liam.
“Hey, how are you?” Asked Oscar.
Liam closed the door and hovered in front of it.
“I’m good, thanks. I just wanted to come and thank you for my Secret Santa gift.” Said Liam.
Oscar beamed.
“Did you like it?”
“I loved it.”
“Come over here and thank me properly.”
Liam’s eyes widened.
“Huh?”
Oscar rolled his eyes and patted the space next to him. Liam slowly walked over and sat down next to the Aussie. Oscar turned a little to look at Liam.
“So, what are you getting me for my Christmas?” Asked Oscar.
Liam began to stutter.
“What do you want?”
Oscar smirked.
“I can think of something.”
Before Liam could even comprehend what was happening, Oscar leaned in and kissed the Kiwi. Eventually, Oscar pulled back. Liam opened his eyes and gawked at Oscar.
“You like me?”
Oscar chuckled and Liam loved it.
“Of course I do, is it not obvious?”
“I never thought you would like someone like me.”
“Well, I do.”
“So, do I get another present?”
Oscar leaned in closer.
“I think you’ve had enough for now.”
Liam smirked.
“I would argue otherwise.”
