Sam wouldn't despair. The time for despair hadn't come yet.
Jack was young, inexperienced in every way.
Especially when it came to his archangel powers.
"Damn!" Dean slammed his hand on the table, glaring at Rowena. "Are you so useless you can't even find my brother?"
"I'm looking for Harry, but it's not that simple!" Rowena replied, narrowing her eyes at Dean. "A Nephilim took him, Dean. I can't just find him with a regular locator spell!"
"It can't be that hard to find Harry." Dean growled.
"Well, it is." Rowena's lips tightened. “Maybe you should call your angel and tell him you need to find your brother again because you keep losing him.”
Sam swallowed. “Call Cas, Dean. I’ll just…”
Without looking at either of them, needing to get away from the argument, Sam ran into his room’s private bathroom, closing the door behind him with a nervous click, enjoying the sound of it closing.
Harry was his little brother, and Sam kept losing him.
Sam wasn’t really a good brother.
Without thinking, Sam turned on the shower, stripping and stepping under the hot water.
He closed his eyes, resting his forehead on the tiled wall.
Why did he keep failing Harry?
Why was Sam never enough to keep Harry safe?
Tears welled up in Sam’s eyes, and Sam did nothing to stop them.
Harry would know how to find him or Dean.
But Harry had always been a better brother than either of them.
