Chapter Text
Midoriya Izuku
6 Years Old(???)
When Izuku finally came out of that room, he was in a school. His uniform was itchy. It was black now, unlike the light blue ones he wore in preschool. There was a whole different teacher, teaching something he’s never seen before. Is that… math? That doesn’t look like math. It has letters. Math doesn’t have letters. What are all those different symbols? He only recognized the plus and minus symbols. What the heck were the other things?
Izuku glanced around. To his relief, Kacchan was sitting at a desk nearby. If Kacchan’s here, there’s nothing to worry about. He’ll help. And he’s all grown up now. He’ll definitely be really strong and protect him.
When the bell rang, people started getting up. Some were talking about lunch. So that must be next. But as he left, he realized he had no idea where the cafeteria would be. And what was the plan for lunch? Did he have lunch he brought from home? Or did he buy lunch? He didn’t know how to do that! What was he supposed to do now?
”Oi! Deku!”
Oh! Perfect. Kacchan can help. Izuku turned and saw Kacchan walking towards him, his hands in his pockets. But Izuku’s heart sank when he realized how angry he looked.
Suddenly, Izuku lost control of his body. It’s not like his body went wild or anything, it just wouldn’t do what he wanted it to do. He tried to run, but his body stayed still. He felt his mouth moving. His voice sounded different. It was deeper. Not too deep, but deeper than he remembered it.
”What do you want, Kacchan?”
”Enough with that stupid nickname!” Katsuki growled. He pushed Izuku into the wall. He could see people watching from the corner of his eyes, but they didn’t do anything. They just kept walking. “You’re so damn annoying! You kept muttering the whole class period!”
”I’m sorry.” Izuku said, but it didn’t sound like he meant it.
This seemed to piss Katsuki off. “Give me your lunch money.” He demanded.
Izuku reluctantly pulled 1500 yen (roughly 10 dollars in American money) out of his backpack and handed it to Katsuki. Katsuki snatched in away. He shoved Izuku into the wall one more time before walking away. People nearby snickered.
“Enjoy being hungry all day, quirkless loser!” One guy shouted.
So people still bully me for being quirkless? And… Kacchan’s one of them…
Izuku ignored their teasing and headed up to the roof. Before he got there, he woke up in his small room once again.
But… this time there was a door. He tested the handle.
It was locked.
The next time Izuku came back, he was at home. He sighed in relief. He realized he was getting in the shower. That’s perfect. Something calming like this would be great after that scary encounter with Kacchan. Should he even call him Kacchan anymore? That’s what he thought about as he stepped into the shower. He called him that because he was best friends with him. At least, that was one of the reasons. But Kacchan doesn’t seem to like him anymore.
That hit harder than he thought it would. Kacchan doesn’t like him anymore.
Before he could control it, tears rolled down his cheeks, mixing with the shower water. He quickly wiped at his eyes. He’s exactly what Kacchan said. A cry baby. He sniffled as the world started to fade away. He tried to fight it. He just wanted to stay for a little longer. Maybe say hi to mama. But he was back in that same small room before he could do anything.
