/// Seventh day ///
I was wide awake today. Didn’t get enough rest last night from how distracted I was.
I lied on my bed, staring at the ceiling with the thought of that visitor consuming my every thought. His touch was…warm. I’m kinda glad he broke my rule whether it was on purpose or not.
I felt my face slightly flushing at the thought of his touch. When I recoiled and landed on his chest. Just last night in general.
I felt slightly giddy. My thumbs fidgeting with each other as I attempted to collect my thoughts.
Finally I sat up from my bed, rubbing my eyes when I got off. I should check how everyone is doing.
I didn’t think grabbing my gun was useful. Nobody in my house is a visitor anyway.

I sat in the living room, the girls were playing together in the office while I chatted with the other guests. Getting to know them better than before. We shared stories when we were younger and things before the apocalypse.
While the others were talking, I couldn’t help but think about that covered visitor.
”Hey, hypothetically speaking, what if a human dates or falls in love with a visitor? What do you think would happen?” I asked, leaning back with a raised eyebrow.
The others looked confused but Kisha answered. “Wouldn’t FEMA take you in for testing? Because like, that’s probably unheard of.” She propped her chin with the palm of her hand.
”It’d probably be normal love. Just don’t let FEMA find out.” Yesenin added in, crossing his legs on the couch.
I turned to Yesenin slightly curious. “You seem to know a lot about Visitors, how?” I questioned with a smirk, tilting my head slightly.
The tall man looked calmly before dropping a bombshell on me. “I’m a visitor.” My face hardened, why do I always leave my gun at the worst times?
Sergei and Kisha’s head snapped towards Yesenin, they didn’t expect he’d reveal his own secret so casually. “D…Dude wh-what?!” Sergei exclaimed. “Wait, wait, Maks!” Kisha quickly stopped me from getting up.
”Listen, Yesenin is really a kind visitor! It’s been almost four days since he’s been here and he had every chance to kill us, right?” Kisha turned to Sergei as he nodded in agreement.
”H…He’s been nothing b-but kind.” Sergei added, smiling softly. I slowly sat back down, unclenching my hands with a sigh.
I stared at Yesenin, my eyes narrowing before lighting up with an idea. “Hey, do you know the visitor that’s been stalking me?”
Yesenin smirked slightly. “My good friend? The one with the large shotgun?” He nodded. I silently cheered before continuing.
”What’s his deal? Why did he help me yesterday?” I finally asked, my face turning serious.
”Ah did he? I know well what his intentions are but I’m afraid I can’t tell you or else he’d be mad at me.” Yesenin chuckled softly, finding all this humorous.
I slumped my shoulders, knowing Yesenin truly means no harm now but more disappointed that he couldn’t answer the question that’s been roaming around my mind the entire day.
I got up with a grunt, planning to go to take a nap till nightfall.
”I’m gonna go nap…” I yawned softly, Kisha looked slightly surprised.
”We are around the same age yet you act like you’re fifty.” She giggled softly. I playfully rolled my eyes and walked out to my bedroom.
/// Eighth night ///
Slowly opening my eyes, I found no sunlight. Did night come this fast? Felt like I only slept for an hour.
I grab my shotgun with a sigh, last night’s encounter rushing to me.
I gripped it tightly, trying to shake memories away. Quickly I get up and speed walk to the front door, not wanting to keep the person knocking waiting.
I look into the peephole, there was a man with wavy hair. His cheeks looked wet with tears as he frantically looked around clenching his stomach.
”Vcxfhv nv! Kovzhv, ovg nv rm blfi slfhv R’n YVTTRMT blf! R xzm’g urmw z HRMTOV kozxv gl orev rm!” The man spoke in complete gibberish to me, he looked desperate and terrified.
The poor man must be a foreigner caught up in this apocalypse…I slowly opened the door with a worried expression on my face.
”Come in, I don’t understand you but I’ll try and help.” I stepped back for the foreigner to come in. He nodded and smiled softly, retreating to the storage room.
I sighed and closed the door, sitting back down on the couch while I waited.
Only minutes had passed before I heard knocking on the door. They were aggressive and unkind ones.
I got up with a grunt and checked the gap, FEMA. This time, whoever it was had 2 other agents with him gripping their guns tightly.
”Hello.” The one in the middle finally greeted. I narrow my eyes, still not understanding what their intentions were.
“It seems that last time one of us visited, you reacted in a violent way and murdered them with no mercy.” My eyes widened. Murdered? The only ever person I’ve killed is a visitor and that was one time!
”you’ve got things wrong I’ve never killed someone in my life.” I answered them, leaning forward against the door with my gun in hands.
”Whatever it is, it’s still at your front door.” The talking agent began to get agitated. “Getting to the point, we require two more test subjects in your residence.”
He called my guests ‘subjects’ as if they’re all objects! What the hell is wrong with FEMA?!
”Sorry but I won’t give anyone.” I answered sharply. Never. Knowing they’d probably kill them at the slightest sign that they’re a visitor.
I heard a loud sigh and a curse under the middle one’s breath. “…For fuck’s sake. Have it your way.” He stepped back, the other two agents stepped in front of my door.
Quickly I stepped far away from the door till my back hit the window next to the kitchen. I hesitantly raised my gun, trying to calm my nerves. Am I really gonna kill a human? No, I’d get killed first. They’re all armed. Fuck. Should I calmly accept my death? What about my guests?
I couldn’t help but worry about them instead of myself. Snapped back to reality, My front door broke down. With trembling hands I raised my gun higher towards the agents. My whole vision felt blurry, lowering my shotgun slowly.
The agents took it as a sign of defeat and rushed toward me. One punched my face, I feel to the floor feeling hopeless. I had to let them beat me senseless, I couldn’t fight back despite being stronger. I didn’t want a bullet to my head.
I was mad at myself for still staying conscious even after the beating. Watching Sergei leaving with fear in his eyes while Nadia screamed and cursed at the agents.
”Don’t…Take me…instead…” I stared at them, tears forming in my eyes. My hands slowly reaching out for them yet they were long gone. My vision slowly turning dark.
Before passing out, I heard someone sprinting out of the living room. blood curdling screams coming from the outside the next moment…I hope they’re safe. I couldn’t help my guests.
/// Eighth night? ///
I walked towards the house up on the hill, humming softly to myself. It seems like Wiredstomach finally made it in the house! I chuckle softly to myself.
Before walking up to the door I heard a vehicle pass by. Turning my head towards the noise, I noticed it was a FEMA Vehicle. Well, shouldn’t be too surprised. They’re the only humans with transportation in this apocalypse.
There were more than normal. They’d usually split up when going around but this time they were in a group, walking towards the homeowner’s house.
Haah. What a pain. What do they want from him? More of his precious guests? Such bullshit.
I hide inside the woods, eavesdropping into their conversations from afar.
My body went rigid once I heard a loud bang coming from his house. I listened closer, hearing grunts, whimpers and begging from a familiar voice.
I spent no time, immediately loading my shotgun and stormed towards the house.
Watching the FEMA Agents leave house chuckling with two of his guests I felt something snap in me.
I saw Yesenin sprint and grab the employee that held the shivering man. I saw this my chance to help and raised my shotgun with a wide grin on my face.
The other agent dropped the girl in his hands and raised his gun with trembling hands.
I took this as my chance to help Yesenin, frowning as I put my finger on the trigger. Finally pulling it, I managed to shoot the FEMA officer’s chest, blowing their heart out.
Yesenin snapped the other man’s neck with an angry smile on his face. I stepped out of the woods, walking towards Yesenin and ignoring the two horrified humans.
“What the FUCK happened?!” I looked furious, my shotgun clenched tightly in my hands. My friend only pointed at the house, revealing that the door was broken down.
I could see the inside of his house. and far away, I saw a curled up, passed out and injured human. My human.
Before I could rush inside I saw Wiredstomach hurriedly leaving his spot inside the house and checking on the homeowner.
He turned towards me, giving me a face that told me that he’s got him.
Feeling relieved, I then turned to Yesenin who was poking the shivering man’s cheek. “Yesenin.” I called out, making him momentarily stop and focus on me. “Shall we go raid a FEMA camp? I feel a little…” My frown slowly turned into a grin. “Energised.” The tall man laughed and wrapped his slender arm around my shoulder.
”Gotta release some of that energy!” Yesenin exclaimed as I chuckled softly. Both of us bolting into the woods.

Sergei trembled and quickly helped Nadia up. “Ig…ignoring all th-this, we need to go h…help Maks!” Nadia nodded, her eyes watering slightly.
”If he fucking dies on us I’m gonna kill everyone…” Nadia mumbled, running back into the house as Wiredstomach carried him on his back.
