Summary
The one where Hermione needs Harry to be safe.
---
Harry. Harry wasn’t safe.
Harry needed to be somewhere safe this summer. He had watched Cedric die. Watched Voldemort return. Been tortured. Seen his dead parent return while he duelled the man who murdered his parents. All during a tournament he was forced into and consequently vilified for by his peers and Britain’s wizarding world.
Harry needed to be somewhere where he could be sad and angry and scared and not alone and safe.
Where was safer than Hogwarts?

Summary
Severus had always known that he would die in a painful, most horrifying way ever since back when he was almost beaten to death by his father, then mauled by a werewolf, then thrashed around by a maniac overlord. His miserable, luckless life only seemed to lead to that one day when he would be struck down by a bloody snake, of all things.
Bleeding out in front of Harry Potter was just the last humiliation Lady Destiny had in store for him.
Suddenly staring into Potter senior’s eyes again while being levicorpused was just the icing on the cake. -

Summary
What I wanted to write was a quick one-shot that explored the idea of Harry being the biological son of Voldemort, only Voldemort doesn't know he has a son and is also as evil as ever. Meanwhile, Harry is just a charismatic kid with a snake and ridiculously powerful magic.
It turned into a series rewrite.
Here's book one, I guess.
Features Harry Potter trying to keep his friends from doing crimes, a tired Remus Lupin spontaneously adopting a traumatized child with absurd magical capabilities, Severus Snape doing the bare minimum which is still somehow more than what Dumbledore is capable of, and Harry's friends' growing exasperation with Harry's terrible decision-making skills.

Summary
There is an ironic balance to the situation that strikes Peter as especially humorous. Typically, Peter is not bitten by humans.
Typically, werewolves are the ones who do the biting.
But, here in the forest ringing the Hale House, there is certainly a feral human boy and he has certainly bitten Peter.
It’s partly Peter’s fault. Maybe thirty percent. He had stuck his hand within biting distance.

Summary
Revenge is the misguided attempt to transform shame and pain into pride. Being forsaken and neglected, ignored and forgotten, revenge seems a fairly competent obligation at this point.
Skylar is the boy who lived, that's why he's important. I'm not Skylar.
Going to Hogwarts is part of the plan, waking the basilisk is part of the plan, taking potions, learning spells, being tortured, murdering others, watching people di-I’m going to tell you a story, although it’s a bit long. I’m going to make you listen, because I want you to understand how you made me a monster. I’ll call this story antithesis, and you’re going to learn every single moment where things went wrong. I want you to cry, and beg for me to kill you, and when I’m done with this, you’re going to want to do that to yourself. You’re going to listen, because in the end, you owe me that much. You owe me so much more, but here we are, and this is how it’s going to end. Who knows, maybe this useless battle between you and me and this bloody world, well, maybe we always were fated to kill each other.

Summary
“Maybe I should collect leaves and dump them in the closet?” Derek asked his sister after the first restless and mostly sleepless night with Stilinski. The werewolf had never shared his room with anyone before, not even his siblings and he was uneasy knowing someone else was there now. Especially when it was some weird brat, who behaved like an animal and whose presence he could neither hear nor smell.
“I think he'd like leaves,” Derek tried to reason. Cora paused her game, skeptically looking him up and down, probably trying to figure out if he was serious. “You know, for his nest?”
“Derek, he is not a real animal.”

Summary
"Love never dies a natural death, it dies of blindness, and errors, and betrayals. It dies of weariness, of witherings, of tarnishings."
-Anais NinThis is the way love falls apart: by the smallest of increments away from each other, barely noticed for their insignificance until the sum of them becomes a distance too great to cross.
This is the way love grows: by the smallest of increments toward each other, barely noticed for their significance until the sum of them finds you standing face to face.

Summary
“And once again, you think you know what’s best for me.”
John rises from the chair, the anger and frustration and hurt overwhelming him, bursting out of every pore, and he doesn’t even know for sure that it’s Sherlock he’s angry at, really, but the only reason he tied himself to Mary in the first place is because the person he really loved left him behind, and the woman he married once sat in the shadows above a darkened swimming pool and aimed a sniper rifle at his heart and later shot his best friend in cold blood and cuckolded him and just gave birth to a child that wasn’t his and right now he just can’t do this, he just fucking can’t do this anymore.
***
John has to somehow rebuild his life in the wake of Mary's betrayal and Sherlock's deceptions.
