    Thanks! Yeah, these two ... they've been together for a while, now, and they love each other quite a lot. It's the second time around for both, and they've both had marital trauma before, so they're pretty intentional about taking good care of each other. (Which often does include some nice, unexpected sex, lol.)

    I'm glad you thought the chapter was captivating and that the tonal shift worked will. I'm proud of this story and it's always gratifying to hear that the opening chapter worked well for a reader.
