   This is GORGEOUS! I'm so amazed by the expression on Cassandra's face, that pain and regret for what happened to Avexis pained all over her traits, and how you linked it with her finger over her mouth. I imagine to symbolise Avexis' silence due to tranquility. How she no longer talks to dragons. A great choice to caption this with rumours about the situation, with the voices of other people, so that both Avexis' silence and Cassandra's emotion and hushing finger both look all the starker and powerful!

   The sunburst behind her head working like a halo is also amazing, especially with how you interpreted a sort of "pietà" symbology: Cassandra holding Avexis like she's Mary with Jesus, and Avexis' position and lowered arm really make me think of a deposition from the cross. Obviously Avexis isn't dead, but there's something really horrible in her fixed gaze nonetheless, which makes me think of her being severed from herself, even if it keeps her alive. And how terrible it is that to survive she has to declare that it's preferable to be severed. I really like the dress too. It conveys a sense of innocence, but also to remain within the religious symbolism, it makes me think of a shroud? It's great.

   I also love the curtain behind them. I thought at first those were dragon wings, but I think a curtain that works *like* dragon wings is even better. Lovely composition. And of course there's the sunburst that is both behind Cass and on Avexis forehead, which well, Cassandra went through tranquility too, she just doesn't know it! So there's a really cool visual parallel there.

   It's a really strong piece and I adore the attention to religious symbolism and emotion that went in it, thank you SO much for drawing it for me. ♥
