Notes:

"Eudico hates Vox" is absolutely going to be a running gag and may or may not impact some later events. As in, Eudico eventually slips up and everyone's like "lol nah can't be her, she hates Vox" and Eudi's just over here like "???ok???"

hah. yeah. i was shite at floof-hunting until i got my head on straight, and started using a range/duration equinox to sleep the little bastards. made it so much easier. an efficiency/duration ivara also works, but you aim *near* the target, instead of at it

  I'm pretty sure it doesn't count as a perfect capture if you use abilities, ahaha (but on the bright side, I'm much better now that the freakin' tranq rifle isn't sUPER MUCKIN LOUD)
  ...I still don't have any floofs besides pobbers. I think I managed to down a virmink once and I've never tried again because they caught my scent or something :< I should try some of the more difficult ones. Someday. Someday.

I bet they also talk about the tenno who gets super intense about captures and had a perfect record right up until that one time they ended a super sweet set of ninja jumps by landing directly on a pobbler (IE mine).

I missed this update! >:| *sends floofs* Did you know that if you are holding the echo lure of the creature you want to track it filters out all the others on your map? Makes it a lot easier to get something besides pobblers. It was pobbers all day before I figured out that little trick. (It would be nice if anything that I'd read let me know but noooo.) Bolarolas are so cute. It helps that with Ivara I can stand right next to them to get their underbellies with the tranq rifle.

  I actually did know that, although I've been using it to hunt pobbers and exclusively pobbers, lol. And a virmink like... once. (I have one tag, so clearly I managed it once and then never again, because I don't go conservation-ing with my friends, they're even worse at stealth than I am.)
  I'm not sure where I figured that out, tho. But thanks for telling me! (And... making me want Ivara even more, ughhh I need to get Octavia for a school project semi-asap, long story but if I wind up running spy mission after spy mission instead, I know who to blame ;D)
  Also--I've been doing updates on this fic only when I have nothing else Warframe-related ready to go up, simply because I don't have a very big buffer of chapters yet ahaha. But if you need more Warframe fic, even if it's admittedly not related to Fortuna much yet, why not check out the rest of the series? It's ordered chronologically, which might make stuff difficult later come to think of it, but... yeah. There's at least one other Fortuna-related fic in there currently, and the only reason I'm not writing tons more is because I gotta introduce all my Tenno dorks first, lol :D admittedly, most of it involves Second Dream spoilers so if you haven't gotten to that quest (and if you're not sure, trust me you're not there yet) then you probably shouldn't read most of it yet. But there is one fic in there that's just my excuse to write Little Duck because I love her, and that's got no spoilers whatsoever, surprisingly. Sooooo yeah, shameless self promo over here :D

    I read them, which is why I was surprised I missed this second chapter!
    No need to worry about spoilers here, I just spent the past couple days farming sentients on Lua with my Excal Umbra. After years of (off and on, admittedly) work... I finally got my last piece of Broken War! :DDD *rubs hands together evilly* It actually inspired me to type up a little short of Koz with her new weapon. It in itself is surprisingly spoiler free considering the subject matter, with little more than vague mention of a certain skewering you get from Stalker or from trailers.

      Lol, where do you get Broken War? I accidentally deleted the one I got from Second Dream because I heard you could get it somewhere else and was like “eh it’s not that good” and later started eating my words. (At least I’ve had the sense not to get rid of the broken scepter. It’s a decent weapon, even if the special health drain thing is... slow. I’d use it a lot more if there was a way to speed that up :P)

        You sweet summer child. You don’t know? Broken War and War BPs both drop from Shadow Stalker with a 2.765% drop chance. The trick is that in order to build War you need a Broken War, which requires two War Blades and a War Hilt which drop from Conculysts with a .5% drop chance. If you can handle going the duration in survival on Lua you get larger amounts of sentient spawns every 5-7 mins starting at 2 spawns. I would go 40/60 mins solo, hop out, and repeat until I got my loot or got sick of the farm. Definitely hopped out if a War part dropped to make sure no technical issues caused me to lose it. Umbra made it much easier with his howl resetting sentient resistances instead of having to hit them with a void beam.
        Broken Scepter is not my style. It’s gimmick is too slow, agreed. I favor Condition Overload and Healing Return on a high status weapon. Spin through a crowd with a staff or polearm and you get giant chunk a of health and it keeps me topped up all the time passively.

        Why did I get rid of the one that the quest gave me D: oh well. I’ll put it on my long, long list of things to farm for.
        I’ve yet to figure out how to keep myself alive effectively, but I’ve found that a decently modded Helios (Prime) with Life Strike on its deconstructor will keep it alive through things that I have a hard time surviving, lol

        *pats* It's alright. It is why I always check crafting trees and reobtainability before throwing away ANYTHING in this game. Ugh.
        What's your favorite frame/s? I'm sure you know that survival methods change depending on who you're playing as. ;) As a general scheme, I currently favor parkour and buzzing around like a mad little ladybug to not get hit in the first place, using Healing Return on my melee for general health maintenance, and have a fully ranked Magus Elevate for emergency warframe health regen on my operator in the odd circumstance that I randomly almost get oneshot out of nowhere. 75% chance of restoring 200 health per transference and you can spam it. If neither strategy is viable for whatever reason, I can just drop pizzas because, for no particular reason that I can figure out, I maintain a stock of 100 of each type of pizza even if I rarely drop them.
        Speaking of Octavia farming... Octavia is my fav frame so I endorse this farm. Firstly: For school? WHY. Secondly: if you're on PC I'm attempting to farm Mutagen Samples so I'd be happy to help you out if you need help with the part from the derelict. I'm also occasionally hopping on xbone when I feel like it. Not even finished with all of the quests yet, though. Most recent PS anything was a PS2 though. So... yeah.
        ETA: Wait. *squint* Life Strike on Helios? Does that work now? I thought it was pointless because Helios doesn't channel? *puzzles over this*

        I do that now, ahaha. Alas, at least I had the sense not to throw away the scepter...
        I generally play as whatever frame I’m leveling up at the moment, and I hoard my frames, but my favorites are probably Mirage, Nova, Chroma, and (possibly, I just got her a few days ago) Garuda. Mirage is deadly with an area-effect weapon (is that what they’re called? I don’t even know) like the staticor if you have Eclipse going and Hall of Mirrors. Honestly, my main issue with surviving is because I’m always leveling up new gear, and am hopelessly unprepared whenever something more difficult shows up, whoops. :P
        Oh yeah, I definitely want her because she’s great. But also, I’m taking a music theory class, our final project is to make a study guide for the exam, and I’m making mine Warframe themed. Which means, I need screencaps of Octavia and I’m far too lazy to just find some online, and also it’s about time I got her lol. If push comes to shove, I don’t need her for the project, but really it’s about time.
        I’m on PS4 unfortunately, I do have a PC account but I haven’t touched it for months and the last I checked, I was still trying to do Vox Solaris with my beginning gear and poor baby Excal.
        Also: apparently? All I know is that my sentinel somehow always has full health now, even on Infested missions when it really shouldn’t. So maybe it works without channeling on Helios? (Also: that’s how you activate it? Whoops, that explains why it was never working for me on my main weapons lol)

        I've got all the frames except Equinox Prime at this point so it's just forma and at my MR... My available mod points at rank 0 mean I can still wreck serious carnage. When I hit 10, the battle is decided. My favs at the moment are "destroying the upper right of the screen" Octavia, "locking down entire maps with Strangledome" Khora, and "parkouring shredder ball of doom" Gara, trailed by "sword guy" Excalibur(/Umbra), "leg day every day + hoola hoops are hip" Nezha, as well as, oddly enough "don't diss disco" Revenant "because disco isn't dead" (That was terrible. I don't forgive myself but I will share it with you) and "stop killing the enemies, I want to kill the enemies" Harrow. If I'm playing to farm something I tend to grab the frame that is least effort for most reward, whether that's Limbo for mobile defense and excavation, Titania for something as niche as Ambulas Sortie Assassination, Nekros for resource acquisition, Zephyr for Cetus Wisp hunting, Saryn/Trinity for ESO, and so on.
        One thing that they all have in common is (at least the way I play them) is constant use and upkeep abilities.
        It's a shame. Poor bby excal. I started my xb account with a Volt and got murdered doing Vox Solaris because I was trying to do it with a controller. I dug up a wireless KBM and connected it up. I then methodically slaughtered my way to Ceres to get Frost, leveled him up to 7, and went back to Fortuna for a rematch by the end of the day. I can say little to excuse my actions besides the fact that I was motivated, lol. I still only have up to Pluto unlocked in my lowly 44 hours on that account.
        I was curious and took a look in the simulacrum on PC with the disclaimers that requires. Healing Return worked. Life Strike had no joy whether my warframe was channeling or not, so I'm not sure how or why but cheers for having a hardy little sentinel.

        Oh wow I wish my mr was that high, lol. I’m at 16 and slowly increasing—that would be why I’m always leveling new stuff up, lol. Maybe my new amp will push me over the edge to 17 once I get it gilded. Either way, it’s a huge increase over the regular old mote so I’m happy :D
        But yeah, I tend to switch to different frames as the situation requires it, but I like using my Primes so I tend to use those a lot :> I’ve got Mag, Nova, Mirage, and Oberon currently. Theoretically I have enough relics left to get Frost and Ember but we’ll see how that goes, ahaha. (And!! Volt and Loki are getting unvaulted!! I don’t even have regular Loki yet lol I need to go kill some hyenas!!)
        But lol, yeah, I actually have most of those! I’ve got the blueprints for Nezha I just need some argon crystals, Octavia... as I said, neuroptics :<, and Harrow, because I’m way too lazy to farm for him lol, although I do have several billion copies of the chassis bp surprise surprise.
        Oh tbh keyboard/mouse is actually more difficult for me? Which is why I play mostly on PS4 ahaha but one of these days I’ll do more with poor bb Excal. Maybe when they finally make our accounts cross platform, fingers crossed. (If nothing else, I’m very very proud of that boy’s fashionframe considering I had almost nothing to work with.)
        I don’t think I’ve ever even touched Healing Return lol and I’ve yet to get Life Strike working on my drake lol. Maybe it’s a glitch, maybe my sentinel is just really lucky, idk lol. He’s a good little sentinel. :)

  they can't possibly expect LD to recognize which Tenno she can talk to and which ones she can't!! she doesn't have a fancy-schmancy cave that only opens to the chosen ones or whatever!!!
  (in other news, turns out I still have LD's character voice down and if/when I update this in the future, I've got to bring that up lol)
  listen, it's a flawless cover. nobody would ever suspect Eudi is Vox, she hates Vox too much for that! (it's not as foolproof as Eudico thinks but it works well enough)
